It'S not that i don't want you here, hi guys and welcome back to my channel today i'll be doing a video on microlinks and everything you need to know to avoid damage heat damage shedding and just have longevity with this hairstyle. If you guys, like more videos like this, don't forget to subscribe to my channel and like this video and we're going to go ahead and get into it so let's go. I have all the notes on my phone right here. All my notes are right here. So do not flame me do not do that for me. Looking down so boom, i've had micro links twice. This is my second time having micro links. I'Ve had wefted micro links, so i feel like i am, i feel like i can give advice on wefted microwaves, because i've had them twice in a row now, and i've experienced a lot of growth with microwaves the first time and the second time, i'm noticing a Lot of growth now, so it's easy to grow your hair with micro links as long as you're doing everything right. So i feel like i'm an expert, not really a pro expert. So first they don't tell you. This is not a protective style. 100 of your hair is out 100 of your hair is out so just keep that in mind. If you're looking for a protective style, that's going to like braids or sew sew-in or a braid down for a wig, this is not or like twist. This is not a protective style. 100 of your hair is out when you get the microphones. Take it out. You need to get a trim just because 100 of your hair is out. If you're like me and you sweat from your scalp, we all know the first thing that happens when you sweat, when you sweat from your scalp, is your roots, your edges and your roots. They start puffing up and they start reverting back to the natural state. That'S my problem and that's like the biggest thing with microlinks that i knew i was going to have a trouble with, but i still wanted to get my coins anyway, because i was like this is the style that i want. So when i first had michael the mistake i was making was just adding heat to my edges and just redoing my edges every time i would sweat them out now. I don't do that at all. I have it set into a set style. You guys see that i wear my hair this way so that way, when i do sweat, i just have to lay these edges down. So my nape and this side of my edges grow as curly and we're going to leave that alone until i get them re-tightened. But this side - i just i just don't even add heat to the side - just add a little bit of edge control here and here and just pin it over and just have a style. It still looks natural, it's not cakey and that's what i like about it. So you can use edge control or a little bit of hairspray, i like to use edge control, and i use this like edge booster, the style factor edge control, and this is just the this one says extra strength and moisture. So it does help a lot and it does not kick up or turn white. So that's a really good thing been three weeks going on four weeks and i get my micro lengths tightened in two weeks. So it's been three weeks already. I have not added any heat to my hair: i've not washed. My hair, my hair literally looks the same when she i left the hair salon on september 23rd or 22nd. My bed, i love this salon on the 22nd 21st. I have my hair done on the 21st of september. It is now october 12th and i have not added any heat to my hair. I have not added any heat, no wash, no oil, not the only thing. I'Ve added to my hair with a little bit of edge control and when i lay it down at night, i'm going to show you well, i had a scarf here. I have a little satin scarf. I laid my edges down at night and i put them in rollers, so when i wake up in the morning, it's usually still laid down like this now um. I don't add any extra to this as long as it's laid down that way. Also, i have little rollers from the dollar tree. If you guys want me to do a video on how i use my rollers for the dollar tree, then let me know they are very like small sponge like rollers, i know if you guys have been to the hair store. You know that flexi rods can get expensive, especially the nice higher quality ones, but i will say with this hairstyle since it's already curly and your hair is already straight, it just needs something to hold the curl which those cheap sponges will do. I had about six packs, which was six dollars. If you got six packs from the hair store, probably been almost sixty dollars, um honestly, but i got six packs for six dollars and it has been doing the trick ever since i was saying that it does get tangled up and messed up sometimes, but those are Just easy because they were a dollar, you can just throw them away, and then you have some more to work with. I usually do about two. I do like two here two. I basically do like two two two two, so i probably put about i say 12 to 15 rollers in at night, and i usually keep them in when i get home from school or when i get home from doing something throughout the day. The amount when i'm going to class or i'll take them out if i'm going somewhere important. I will say i'm bad about that. I will keep my rollers and, if i'm just running to the store, i will keep my rollers and if i'm running down the street, i will keep my rollers in if endure something. That'S not important. I'M bad about that, and i need to get better about that, because queen latifah is going to get me about wearing my scarf, my body and my rollers, but it just keeps the hairstyle that the bun has become a part of the guy's outfit wind is blowing. If it's humid outside it was raining um, i live in virginia, so virginia right now it's this weird weather. Where it's raining some days. It'S really not days. It'S hot, then it's cold. It'S just the weather is just really different and i don't want to be out there called lacking in the rain. Like i was yesterday, i got caught walking when i went to harris teeter and got caught walking in the rain, and i got rained on without my scarf once so. That'S probably why the curls are not really set the way they would have been, because i didn't let them sit all day like last night. I put them in and then like this morning, i'm filming this video for you guys and it just does not look as defined as it should be. Oh, i got my hair done for my birthday, which was september 21st. My birthday was september 23rd. I got my hair done september 21st, um it's october 12th now and i have not had any oil no product but a little bit of edge control and that's it. I have not added any heat or anything. I just keep it rolled up and take it down when i need to do not go out here, buying those expensive flexi rods and we're not doing that. We'Re not buying expensive flexi rods at all. We'Re not going to do it if the hair store or sally's. I say do not do it if your local dollar tree has flexi rods, get them, they usually come in pink blue. I think some of them are green they're like little packs. They come packs of six and i got six. So if you guys just do the math that way, you have a lot of flexi rods and if you need more flexi rods, you can go to the dollar tree and just get some more because they're just a dollar. So so what else i gave you guys? Also, the edge control. You want a rat tail comb to do the edges with and that right there, and also you would like a clean brush. This is a clean brush um. I only use this brush on the microwaves. I do not use this brush on my wigs. I do not use this brush on my natural hair. It only gets used when i have microwaves in now. I bought this from the dollar tree as well. It has been doing the trick first. I really didn't know what i wanted with my curlings and i really just like try something new out and i don't know i really love micro links and i'm able to maintain them. This is so easy for me when i was when i was um about to get microlinks. I was doing research on youtube and a lot of people weren't really talking about their marketing journey and everything that they were going with microlinks. So when i got microlinks i was like okay well, this is not what i expected, because it's just not what i was expected. So when i got them it was a whole different ball game. The hair that i had matched my hair texture, but i really didn't know how to maintain them. So that's why i was washing them at home. What you're not supposed to do you're not supposed to wash them at home. I washed them at home several times. I was pulling my bees out. I was causing shedding to the microlink hair, which is the wefts. So if they weren't as thick as anymore, they um started to thin out a lot after a while and i'm talking about like after, like a month and they're supposed to last a good two months, two or three months. So after, like a month and a half, they really were, they really didn't look the way they were supposed to look, and that's because i was adding heat. That'S i did make that mistake as well other than too much heat. I feel, like i damaged the micro link here, and i also feel like after adding that much heat to it. They they, the hair, didn't really look healthy anymore. I looked very fried and damaged, and also i was not. I was adding too much product into the hair. I was adding oil and hairspray and all this other stuff to him, because i'm thinking like okay, well, i don't want to heat damage my hair, so i want to add as much hairspray and possible or heat protectant as possible. So i don't damage my hair ended up. The micro link hair was just too oily, it had too much product buildup on it and it just did not flow naturally at all. So i know that was a mistake that i made so do not make the same mistake as i do or unless you know how to wash them professionally, i didn't know how to wash it professionally. I was ripping my beads out and i was doing a whole bunch of stupid stuff with those microwaves. So now i'm back in better. I got these and i have not had any products until with them. I haven't added any oil into them. Nothing and you can see after almost a month, still full still flowing, still looks. Very natural. Everybody'S microwaves are not going to look the same because everyone has different hair textures. They do have curly micro links. They have um like textured micro links that you can get that you don't have to get them straight on your body wave. You can get different textures to match your natural hair. If you don't want to wear it in a straight, if you want to wear a natural state, you can get wavy straight kinky, curly, afro curly. They do it all. They have all that, so you just have to go with a stylus that has those different hair. Textures and matches you the best in your consultation. This is just a disclaimer. This is everything that i've learned in my microlink journey and i want to share with you guys about microlinks, because you guys always ask me, and i've got a lot of questions about microwaves, because they have different methods and put them in they have the eye tip. They have wefted, they have braidless sew in. They have a whole bunch of stuff that you just have to look and see and do your own research. You have to do your own research to really see what's going to work out best for you and what hairstyle works best for you and your lifestyle. So if you guys, like more videos like this, don't forget to subscribe to my channel and like this video for more subscribe to my channel like this video for more and share it with a friend and if you get micro links, send me pictures. So i can see what your microwaves look like. Okay, so i'll see you guys in the next one
