5 Different Strand By Strand Extensions

We post new content. So if you've someone across this video, then you have got an interest in hair extensions. And if you like me, then that interest has turned into an obsession. There is so many different hair extensions methods on the market, and it could be very confusing for a lot of potential clients or people who are interested in having hair extensions. So what I decided to do was to put a video together, showing you guys, some of the more popular single strand or strand by strand hair extensions, application and methods. So if you're interested in finding out more then keep watching. So, let's jump right in and talk about our first single or strand hair extensions. Now these hair extensions are ideal for ladies or gents, who have got very fine, thin hair and they don't want to have taken hair extensions, which has got some form of the DCM and it sticks to your hair. So these single strand, hair extensions, are called ultra tips here in the UK. Now I've seen them advertised with some hair benders and they actually call them the white tip hair extensions or they call them flat micro rings. So these are individual strand, hair extensions that are installed on your hair, using a small micro bead. So in the video that I'm going to be hopefully showing right here that is going to be showing you guys how the hair extensions are installed on your hair and also how they are removed. One of the most common questions that I'm asked about ultra tip or any single strand, hair extensions, is how many strands would you mean we have four a half head versus a full head of hair extensions, so this bundle here is a bundle of 25 strands. So if you aren't going to have a half head, install, you would normally have around 100 to 125 of these strands would be installed on your head. So at house a pair when we install a half head, we still cover the full surface of your head. So we would put hair extensions on the side and we would also put hair extensions at the back. We wouldn't just focus on the back, because when you pull the hair extensions forward, you're gon na see where your hair stops and then you're gon na see a long length of hair extensions. So we still spread them out throughout your hair. So if you were going to have a full head of ultratip hair extensions, we would advise that you would have either 175 to 200 of these strands and again they would be placed all over your head. So you would make me have about four or five rows going up your sides and then about 4 to 7 rows going up with back of your hair as well. So typically, the weight of an ultra tip strand is normally around nine point, seven grams. So it's just under one gram: there is some companies on the market who do them at naught point five grams, but I find that you need a lot of the hair extensions. If you're going to happen, if you've got very fine hair, then sometimes microgreens can show. But with ultra tips because they are super flat against your head, they're, almost invisible. So one of the most common questions that we answer about ultra cheap hair extensions is how long do they last in your hair? So because the strand is not so heavy because it's only naught point seven grams per strands or naught point five grams. The hair extensions are really really light, so they don't tend to pull down with gravity as much, however, because they are typically put in someone's head he's, got quite thinner or fine hair. These hair extensions can slip the beads that are also used to go around the top. They don't actually have silicone in the inside, so they don't grip onto your hair and the hair extensions. As much of what my Koreans do. So we would normally advise a client to come in for a maintenance around every six to eight weeks with the ultra tip hair extensions. So the next single strand, hair extensions, but I'm going to talk about is nano really hair extensions. We get a lot of. Ladies. Come in if you want their maintenance, the Manos, although it's not something that we actually offer in the salon, we can provide a maintenance if you've got the hair extensions and you want to come in and get them liquid. So nano doing. Hair extensions have got this tiny little metal tip, see that so it's got a small little metal tip at the top, and they are installed on your hair, very, very similar to my cravings. You have a small little bead is attached to the top of the micro ring here and they are clamped down, so they don't need any heat or any adhesive, so they're very similar to microgreens and very very similar to ultratip hair extensions. Now. The reason why I am not a huge fan of nano ring, hair extensions is purely because of the amount of your natural hair that can go inside of the micro bead. So I'm going to show you guys the size of the micro bead, actually just sort in that little clip, that is the size of the nano ring micro bead in comparison to your kind of standard, four point: five or five millimeter micro bead. That has a silicone line in the inside, however, the strand itself still is around one gram or naught point seven grams per strand, and because of that, the weight of the hair extensions over time can become a little bit too heavy. For that very very small amount of hair of your natural hair that you have either micro bead. Now I haven't seen many clients come in with damage to their hair or any kind of breakage as a result of that. But for me I just feel like this is a slightly unsafe, hair extensions method. However, if you are someone who is very strict with your maintenance times - or you are very good at going back to the salon and having your hair extensions maintained, then nano rings could definitely be an option for you as long as you are going to go for Your hair extensions maintenance around every six to eight weeks. I wouldn't advise, and even these particular hair extension your hair for longer than eight weeks so that you are making sure the weight of the hair extension is moved around and it doesn't stay in one place over up. Maybe you know 12 to 16 weeks, because then it will become too heavy for that small amount of hair and it will eventually start pulling on your hair and actually break it so very similar to micro rings very similar to ultra tips. Almost all single strand, hair extensions, but of course, because you're only using a small amount of long natural hair to go inside of these, you can obviously add more hair extensions if you wanted to, but we wouldn't advise kind of being too excessive when it comes to These hair extensions, the let's move on to our third single strand, hair extensions method. This is our most popular single strand method here in house of hair. A lot of people know about micro rings or micro link, hair extensions, so micro, green hair extensions are installed using a small, copper bead. Your hair is put through the copper bead and the tip of the hair. Extensions is then put through the copper bead and the two of them are clamped down together very similar to the nano rings and very similar to the ultra tip hair extensions. All three of these methods require a small bead to have them installed on your hair, so there's no adhesive and no heat use to install any of those hair extensions methods. Microgreens are extremely popular because the hair itself, this I tip strand, is very accessible. So you can get, I tip hair extensions in a wide range of colors and a wide range of textures and lengths. So traditionally, when I first started in the hair extensions market, you could only get single strand, hair extensions for European clients, so they were all very silky straight hair textures and they tend to be kind of more blonde and brown color that were on the market. But as the hair extensions market and the industry evolves, now you can get the afro textured hair. You can get the kinky straight textured hair. You can get yaki wavy Kerli so that more people have been included in the actual industry and are able to have their hair extensions done just like everybody else. So microwaving hair extensions are one of the probably the oldest forms of hair extensions in the hair extensions world, as we know it today and I trained in microgreens over 15 years ago. I would say that you would typically have around the same amount of strands as well, so you would have maybe a hundred strands to 125 strands for a half head and then you would probably have around 150 to 200 for a full heads. There'S some clients who have got very fine hair might come in around every six to eight weeks, whereas most micro ring clients will come in at around. Every eight to ten weeks is what we'd recommend. So let's talk about our fourth single strand method, and that is what we call as the hot fusion, the hair extensions. Some people might call them fusion bonds, they might call them hot fusion. They might just call them glue in hair extensions, but these are also a single strand method that is installed in your hair, using a heat gun or you can use an actual heat tone which clamp down the hair extension and your own hair together and you roll The glue onto the top of your hair, so I don't have any of the hair extensions that have got the tip already on them within the salon, but I will show you a small video of how those hair extensions are installed and removed using a hot gun. You would squeeze some glue onto the top of the hair extensions put that in place on your clients, hair and roll the two of them together. Unfortunately, that's not a method that we do here in passive hair salon, because we find there can be a little bit messy and it's a very old-school way of installing these hair extensions. The second way of installing it is by using a tip which is typically called a nail tip if you can see that, but it's a small little tip and the hair extensions hang from the bottom of it. So you have your smaller, don't sit like this, and your hair extensions will hang from the bottom, so how they are installed is using a hot glue gun. You would melt the tip of the hair extensions and put it underneath your clients hair. If you use the two together, wait for it to cool, maybe one or two seconds and then roll it on to your clients, hair hair extensions are removed, is by using acetone or my little secret, which is actually hand sanitizer, and that breaks down the glue bond. You then use your pliers to crack on the actual bond and it will come out of your hair, so this hair is actually reusable. You can actually reuse this hair, but you need to get yourself some little Italian keratin beads. That'S what they're gone so you need to get some Italian keratin beads so that you can once you've, cracked it and taken off of your clients, hair. You would add a little bit of keratin beads to the top of this once that, once that's melted, you would then put the hair extensions back in your clients hair, but you would have some fresh glue on it to make sure that they would still say quite Secure onto your clients, hair a hollow peg would typically be around a hundred strands. Sometimes it will be around 80. Strand is what people would have for a half head just because the glue bond at the top can end up being a little bit bulky. If you split the hair extensions in half cut down the center of the tip, even when it's got the hair extensions hanging from you can actually cut down the middle of it and create very, very small strands. So your clients who have got very fine hair, could actually have these hair extensions, but because they're around one gram of strands and most people who tend to have these don't want too much in their hair. So what half head is normally around 80 strands, which would be around 80 gram, and a forehead, I would say, is around 150 to 170 strands, they're very similar to Brazilian, not hair extensions, in the way that you can have them in your hair. Probably for around four to five months, however, we have a rule at house of hair that we advise all of our clients to not exceed ten weeks when they have their hair extensions installed, and that is because the weight of the hair extensions remains, in the exact Same position for that full ten weeks, so we don't want to put too much pressure on your natural hair or on your scalp. So the fifth method of hair extensions that I'm going to talk about is gon na, be those that are Brazilian, not hair extensions. So I hope the video already up on YouTube, that is, a soul video like dedicated just to Brazilian, not hair extensions, because I get a lot of questions about them and these hair extensions are installed using a tiny elastic strand that is wrapped around the top of Either weft bit of hair extensions, or I tip hair extensions. It doesn't matter because you're going to cut the top of the hair extensions off after you've completed your install. So I'm going to insert a video which is going to demonstrate to you guys exactly how I do this install. So you know so for those of you who haven't seen the video that is dedicated all to Brazilian knots I'll just run over a couple of things. So the pros of having Brazilian knot is that you don't need as many strands in your head, because you can be quite creative with the body that you want to have in your hair. So, hair extensions such as nail tips for the fusion bonds, microing nano rings and ultra tips, the actual tip of the hair extensions has already been created for you, so you're unable to adjust the amount and leave the matter grounds that the actual hair extensions is, whereas, With brazilian knots you can be creating so if you've got very strong hair or if you've got a lotta lots of volume, but you don't want to have too much hair extensions. You can actually create a strand of hair action that is around 2 grams. So double what the size is for kind of traditional micro rings and fusion bonds and nano rings you can create your own size. Therefore, you don't actually have to have as many rows so when you would have micrometers installed, you might have around 4 to 5 rows. Going from your ear or you will leave out where your ear is all the way up to where your parting is we're Brazilian. Not so you can break the exact same volume, but you could possibly have only 3 rows and then you have to leave out all overhead to cover over it. One of the coins were Brazilian. Not is that every time you put them in your hair, you need to trim off a little bit off the top. So as they're installed you need. You need to leave a little bit out at the top, so you're wrapping the string around it and you've got a little bit of the hair extensions left out at the top. As you finish, the install you snip that little bit off. So if you can imagine every time you come back for a maintenance, even if the quality of the hair is great, the hair extensions themselves over time will become shorter and shorter, so guys those are my 5 single strand hair extensions methods.
