In today's video i'll be showing you how to wash and maintain your micro links, how to blow dry your hair safely and tighten the beads in your hair so that you can wear your micro links for as long as possible hello, my love and welcome back to My channel i've now had my micro links in now for about three weeks, and it is definitely time for a re-tightening i'll, also be showing you how to wash the hair too. As you can see, the beads have started to come down a little bit lower. This is because of regrowth. First of all, you want to start by detangling your hair, and you want to make sure that you're using a very delicate brush, you can use a tangle teezer or something where the bristles bend. You want to avoid things like combs and brushes with really hard spokes, because those brushes could essentially ruin your micro links, i'm using a brush by tangle teaser. It is their blowout brush and i will leave the information on this brush down below. You also want to make sure that you're, starting from the bottom and working your way up and you should be using that technique every single time you brush your micro links. Now, let's get into washing the hair, i'm using tresemme's body and volume, and i'm concentrating the shampoo to where my micro links lay and my scalp. You basically want to wash your hair in two parts. The first part you want to concentrate on your scalp and where the micro links lay. So that's where i'm concentrating my shampoo. You want to be very delicate and massage it in slowly try to avoid using your nails and try to use your fingertips or your palm of your hand. Instead, now gently use your fingertips to massage the shampoo in to ensure that you get every single part of your scalp. I always do this twice, just to make sure that my scalp is thoroughly cleaned. Another important thing is to not wash your hair flipped upside down. You do want to make sure that you are standing up in the shower. This will minimize tangling micro links are very prone to tangling, because the beads at the roots, so gravity is basically your best friend in making sure that your micro links do not get tangled, especially while the hair is wet. It can go horribly wrong if you skip the step and invert your head. Once i finish shampooing my scalp twice, i then go on to wash the rest of the hair like normal. While the hair is wet. You essentially want to make sure that your hair is always in a low ponytail. The roots of my hair are facing downwards, but i clipped up the rest just to keep it out the way, and then i put a hair towel on just to make sure we limit movement. This is the fourth time that i've washed my micro links and, as you can see, they have slipped down a little bit, but i definitely think that's not bad. For three weeks now i just go ahead and spray. My hair with heat protectant, i use heat protectant by tresemme, and i put this all over my own hair and the micro links to preserve the longevity of the hair. Then i'm going in with olaplex number six and i'm only putting this on my own hair, because this stuff is expensive. You don't have to use this specific conditioner, but i do you can use anything that you would use in your own hair. Whatever works for, you is good, just continue using that, then i'm going to hydrate the micro links with caracara, and i find that this stuff is great. It keeps the hair moisturized without weighing it down and to blow dry. The hair we're going to use an even softer brush brushes with softer bristles are the best to use on micro links. If you were to use a comb or a brush with really tough spokes. It could get caught on the micro legs and cause pulling. This in turn could lead to hair loss and breakage. If you use a brush with soft bristles and spokes, it will simply just bounce off the micro links. If you're, not a fan of here, you just want to brush your hair into a low ponytail and let that air dry. You could also put a satin scarf on top to make sure that your hair stays stretched, but i decided to go ahead and blow dry. The hair on low heat, the easiest way to blow dry, your hair, is to go section by section again. You really do want to take your time with this and make sure that your hair at the root is dry and you don't want to be flipping. Your hair left and right you want to do it very slowly very carefully and make sure that the micro links are always facing downwards. Once the micro links are dry, you can continue on as normal and wear up or down it's only while the hair is wet. That you shouldn't invert your hair. This is a close-up on some of the micro links. You can see that they have slipped down a little, so we're going to go ahead and tighten them up. First of all, you want to take your pliers and press down on the sides of the bead until it opens up into a circle again then i separate the bead from my own hair, holding my own hair taught. I slide up the micro link and the bead together until it's a couple millimeters away from my scalp and then use the pliers to close the bead and secure it in place. I would only tighten the beads every three to six weeks once you have to tighten them again. For the second time, i would recommend putting a new bead in i'm, also not tightening the beads across my entire head. I'M only doing the ones that are a little bit low. This is what the hair looked like after i find it, the hair is still shiny, bouncy and holds cold almost like the first day that i got it also. The hair is so so soft and i barely have to use any products to get it that way. I'M really looking forward to wearing this hair for a lot longer to see how long it lasts and that's how you maintain your micro links. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask them down below all the information on his hair will be down in the description box below and i'll see you in the next video bye. You
