I often get asked if you can bleach hair extensions or if you can add highlights to a hair topper. And even though I always say that it's not recommended because you can ruin your alternative hair but today I wanted to show you a way and how you can do it. The key is to use virgin human hair. Which in our case is our darkest shade in hair extensions that would be off black and in the hair toppers it is Dark Roast Shade. Virgin Hair means that the hair has never been processed before. This hair will take bleach quickly and there isn't going to be any damage to the hair. Hope you like this video. Leave me a comment below with your thoughts.

Can you bleach hair extensions? That is the question that I'm going to answer in this video a lot of times I get questions like, and I bleed to my hair extensions or add highlights into my hair topper and most of the time. I will advise you not to do so, because chances are that you could potentially damage your alternative hair that you have already invested a lot of money into, but today in this video I want to show you that there is a way to bleach your hair, extensions Or your hair tapper without any damage, I've recently uploaded a video on how to bleach and knots in your hair topper. If you're interested in this video, I'm going to link it in this section up here, there is a certain process that you need to be aware of when bleaching hair extensions. Let'S begin so. The first thing you're going to do is you're going to mix bleach with 20 developer and I've used 20 developer, because I wanted to see what type of results I wanted. I can get with this developer and now that I have seen what we can achieve with this number that I am actually curious to see. What thirty and forty developer would give us - and I am probably going to create those type of videos in the future and, as you can see, I am using a very dark piece of hair extensions, and this is actually our darkest shade, which is off black. In hair extensions - and it would be the dark roast in the hair topper and the reason I'm using this shade is because this is our virgin hair and this, which means that this hair has never had any permanent dyes or colors applied to it previously. And the bleach will take it very quickly and it will lift quickly and it will not, as that damaged the hair as much so you're going to apply the bleach evenly on both sides front and back making sure that everything is saturated. And I left one piece of hair extensions on for 30 minutes and then I tested the 50 minute as well just to see if we're going to get any different results and actually there was not much difference between 30 and 50. So I would advise you to you: only leave the bleach on the hair for 30 minutes, and now I'm just coloring the second piece which will will leave the bleach on for about 50 minutes on this one and later on. I will show you how a turned out you so after 30 minutes I've checked the piece and I saw that it lifted pretty well, and I wanted to wash it off, but the other piece I wanted to leave it on for about 45 to 50 minutes. Just to see if there is going to be any difference between them, so now it's been about 45 minutes. I tracked the piece again and then I decided to leave it for additional file here you can see. The first is the off black. The second is the 30 minute processing and the third is a 50 minute processing. As you can see, there isn't too much of a difference between the two and, if you're, using 20 developer, with bleach you're going to get somewhere around medium brown shade if you're bleaching the darkest here extensions, and that is it for this video.
