Hi everybody it's Nessa here from necessary extensions, again town at 684, King Street West, in Kitchener. So in this video I am going to be showing you how I boil hair to change the curl pattern on it. This is a this is a great video because normally there's a lot of like videos on YouTube on how to boil hair and what you can find is that hair can come out dry and that sucks, even if you add a little bit of oil and it Can still be a little bit dry, so I'm going to show you how I boiled my hair now. This is primarily video that was inspired by one of my clients, who has a lovely, lovely daughter who wanted super super super tight curls. However, her hair was more of a loose curl um. So of course I'm like hey! Well, you know what you could just blow the hair. If you want to loosen up the curl, a fter, she's worn it and she did so and she just found that her hair was really really dry. So I thought you know what let me make this video for her and anybody else out there. Who may be thinking, I want to change my straight hair to curly hair, but I don't want it to dry out right, okay, so um. This is what this is. The kind of hair that I use well mind you. I used the Virgin um Peruvian hair, so it originally started out like this and it I put a body wave into it, and this is a permanent body wave, and this has been washed three times and it still has the the nice wave in it, and so I'M going to show you how I went from straight to body wave curl in only and out of it alright. So here we go okay, so first thing you're going to need is a saucepan. Do make sure your saucepan is large enough to accommodate the amount of hair that you are going to use. This recipe is specifically good for about two bundles two to three bundles of hair. So within it you're going to need half a cup of coconut milk, just the regular stuff, you get no account for about a buck you're going to need a cup and a third of apple cider, vinegar, you're, going to need five hundred mils of water and also About a tablespoon of olive oil per hundred grams or one bundle of hair that you wish to boil your also, of course, going to need your hair and a set of rollers as well. Do you make sure that the rollers that you choose are not the flimsy ones or foam plaited so that they will melt if you're boiling them? You just want the nice hard plastic curler sets okay. So what you want to do in small sections is of course, twist your hair in your desired curl pattern on the curl pattern that I'm using right now is just a simple twist and roll around, so that I can get that deeper body wave. But of course you can use a two stand or three strand twist to get very tight, kinky curls. Now that I have all my hair twisted up and in my bundle I am ready to pop it in my saucepan, I did change my saucepan because I decided to only do one bundle rather than the three I was originally going to do just for time purposes. Okay, so now I've got my hair, I've added all of the ingredients together, the water, the the oil, the coconut milk and I've brought the hair to a boil, but now I have turned it down to a medium low heat, so it can simmer. Now I am going to have this simmer in the pot. I'M going to check up off look check up on it, of course, but for approximately an hour and a half okay, so my hair did sit and boil in there for about an hour and a half while a simmer, if anything in all of the richness of The coconut milk apple cider, vinegar and olive oil, and it is these things that add, that extra conditioning, the coconut milk infuses, the lots of nutrients and proteins in it and the olive oil of course puts in a little bit of extra bit of an Ian there. And conditioning and the apple cider vinegar really adds that lustrous shine and softness, and it's just a gorgeous combination. Now, when you are finished boiling, do you need to rinse the hair, though okay, what you are going to find? Is it especially if you're doing this in the summertime or, if you're prone to having like fruit flies, they will love this smell like madly, okay, so what you're going to need to do once your hair is finished boiling? You don't want to take it out or anything like that is going to leave it in those rollers. However, you do want to rinse off the coconut milk and the vinegar and all the bits and stuff. So basically, what you're going to do is you're going to get a bowl or a sink or whatnot fill it up with some nice warm water and you're, going to dip the hair in with the rollers and everything intact dip it in a few times. Just to get that excess, coconut milk and everything rinsed off now, the next thing you're going to do is you're going to need to hang this bundle to dry on its own without taking it out or anything like that, it needs to be completely dry to set. So, depending on how much oil you've had to use, it could take one to two days for it to dry. Now, once it has dried, you are going to take it out of the rollers. It'S going to have a lovely curl to it immediately after that, you need to wash it okay here by the guy, just curled it, and this is not dry. You need to wash it because they're still going to be residue of the coconut, milk and vinegar and so forth in there. So wash it a couple of times. If you have a sulfate free shampoo, please do so wash it with that and once you've washed it at least twice then lay it out to dry again, and you will find that the curls will still be in a perfect. It will hold perfectly and so like that and you'll come out with some lovely curl hair, and when I'm feeling this you can even see it's got a lovely luster shine. It is super soft, just as soft as it was when I originally took it out. The package and it's just it's ready to be installed now, so this is a this is a great example there. So that is it for me. Thank you ever so much. Thank you so much for watching today. Icemocha27: Best and most professional video explaining the method of permanently curling virgin hair. Coconut milk....great addition. Thanks

Jason Archer: Love this video. My question is, how long will the curls last?

Benita Jones: Thank you, you are one of the only people who's boiling hair video made sense and was actally helpful

Dr. Sally Brown: This video has been the most informative video I've seen that will help me change the my wig from straight to body wave.

Nessa's Hair Extensions: Hi R. Cruces! I'm so happy you found this video useful! and I would totally recommend dyeing your hair first before boiling it. This way the coconut milk will help to repair any damage that was caused by the dye :-)

cokafor85: Thank you for this, what would you do for a loose wavy/ sea wavy pattern?

Beautiful Minds: Hi this video was fantastic!!!What size of curler did you use?

SexcSenorita77: Hi I loved this tutorial. I have a question for you: I ordered a full lace wig in exotic curl thinking that’s what I wanted but when I got the wig the curl pattern doesn’t suit me and I couldn’t return because I custom ordered. I was wondering if I can try this method (on full lace wig) to make hair more wavy looser curl? Can you suggest type of rollers to use?

nikki nikki: wow , that was great i will sure try that out and thanks for sharing

iubi 91: Can this method be done on tape-in extensions or will it ruin the glue that bonds the hairs together? Thank you

belleandchic1: Wow im so glad i found this video, thank you sooooo much.

terra winston: I have a medium yaki texture wig. The company told me I can relax the hair for silkier texture. My question is can I use this video technique to infuse moisture and some body waves ?

MaxineM333: Hi Nessa can this technique be used on my lace front bob? It’s straighter than it looked online and even after wand + flatiron with hairspray & dry shampoo to vavavoom it, it starts to fall flat. Thanks

The Boom Time Radio Show: best advice ever :-) It looks lush in your video.... usually i buy them wavy or plat & boil dunk after they are mini braided in....but I couldn't get wavy in extreme colours and want a looser wavy look that holds without having to curl it every day... can I still do it this way round boiling them and then attach after using braiding? and also will it matter that my rainbow hair is a mix of three different diversity styles? 3 Thermal packets that say:Thermal Colour hair is a type of Synthetic Hair which either comes in Saran or Polypropylene. It has a high heat resistance so that it can change colour with heat. Heat Resistance: Seals with a boil perm(i presume that means your method and the temperature just kept at or just under boiling???), high heat steamer or straighteners and a damp cloth. Does not shrink, but will hold its shape. One pack of rainbow that says: To seal into twisted dreads use a high heat steamer, or straightening irons over a damp cloth.Heat Resistance: Seals at 160°C and up and finally a couple of henlon one tone packets that say: Henlon is generally silkier than other fibres and quite tough. It has a high heat resistance of 120 degrees C and up and will not shrink with heat, but will hold its shape. So does the rainbow one need to go on at a higher heat? I've never tried this multi tonal wavy look before and am a little scared!! Thank you x

B: is it possible to soften deep wave curls into the curls you did? if so, how? thank you!

Becky Keller: Could these curls last for a year with me washing my hair? 3 x a week?

SLR Couture: To get kinky tight curls (4A hair) you recommend I do a two strand twist? Can you recommend a roller size?

DroppingGems: To get the results in the video that loose wave do I need to twist the hair before I roll it or just roll it?

Oliver Miréz: Hi! Thanks a lot for your video… it is really helpful!. I haven't been able to get the coconut milk and also the apple cider vinegar… what can I use instead of this ingredients? Thnx.

Maya Koryn: If you straighten it after you boil it, would it go back to the wave when you wash it??

LadyDanzell: Will this work just to treat and revive my bundles? I don't really want to change the curl pattern just to restore luster and moisture to my hair.

D Marie333: Can I do this to curl my real hair?

Your Hair Your Look: Wow! this is awesome! But can I do it on colored hair though? My wig is 1b/27

lizad777: I love the curl in your wig, which wig is it please? Thanks

Just Ree: Can I blow dry the hair until it's dry?

Nameiko Miller: Can i use this method on a high heat futura lace wig?

MizRobin: Hello, just wanted to know if this method can be done on high quality human synthetic blended hair?

Joyride: Can i boil a full lace wig if my curls are falling?

julie muyombi: Hi there ,i just need your help , i bought this wig its full lace virgin brazilian hair with silk top based ,but the problem is i wanted a body wave wig ,and the one that they shipp to me looks more curly than wavy ,its like loose curl my question is is it possible to make that curly wig wavy or straight ? and how do i go about it? Thanks in advance .

This "Yellabone" You Don't Want (2 F W): So does this applies steam processing. To just only change the curl pattern is it is 1 1/2 hour but also texturize (to resemble a hair type) it will be basically 2 and 1/2 hours?

Victoria Airhunmwunde: I love It God bless you ma

Chelsea Love: If straighten it and wet again will it go back to this curl?

IrieAnnB: Hi Nessa's can I do this with Brazilian Virgin hair just to restore my curls without roller setting it just boil it

JadaBreona_xo: Would I be able to do this method on hair that has already been bleached and dyed?

Tikki Lashai: Is this permanent??

Bella: Hello I already have my hair sew in how do I boil my hair while it's sew in I'm trying to had tight curls to it

Jenny Langarica: For synthetic hair wud just boil it in plain hot water ?

Kamisha BeasleySkinner: It would have been nice to see you add these thing's in it.

Mariah P: Let's say im in a rush to start the process tonight and don't have curlers... any crafty suggestions on what else I could use?

𝐶𝑜𝑐𝑜💙: I want to color my hair red should I do that before or after??

Jamillah Payton: Could I do this on a full unit that has a lace closure or would it damage the lace?
