Seamless Versatile Sewin Install *Better Than Micro Links

Here is a seamless versatile sewin install that’s I think is better than micro links! I call it a 5 part sewin because you can wear a side part, middle part, half up half down, and do a full ponytail! Think of the three part sewin but a step up! I also would relate it to the in between sewin which is my favorite! This sewin method allows for maximum versatility(same as micro link hair extensions) while having less maintenance(due to more of your hair being tucked away). After doing my hair one at for years I finally gave up micro links and do this instead! For me it’s a happy medium! If you are curious how to do a versatile sewin on natural hair yourself, check out this video showcasing how I do my own sewin at home:

If you are curious and still prefer micro link hair extensions, no needle no thread, check out one or both of these videos for a micro link tutorial:

If you’d like to know more about raw hair extensions and the pros and cons of it, check out this video(my sister didn’t use raw hair in this video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBAjp4...

I do not post hair extensions videos much anymore, only if I do something new so I’m sorry if you are subscribed for such! I post chit chat videos about what it’s like being a homemaker in a modern society and I recently started doing interviews with others about their life in a series called, abnormally normal! I look forward to chatting with people about living our what society would call an abnormal life but it’s normal for them! So if you’d like to be featured, shoot me an email at [email protected]

Hey everyone and welcome back to my channel so, as you can see, i'm taking it way back and i'm doing a hair video today my sister is in town from texas and she asked me to do her sew-in, so i asked her: is it okay? If i film it - and she said yes, so that's what we're gon na do she normally lets me do her hair any way that i want, because she trusts me since i was doing our hair when we were kids, so i told her i'm like we're gon Na do a versatile sew-in, because if you guys have had a versatile sew in with the right amount of leave out, you know that nothing beats the versatility and the natural look of it. Now, if you're new to my channel, i make a lot of chit chat. Videos - and i do videos with other people, so this type of video is not too common on my channel anymore, however, i do have a playlist of hair videos that i did in the past, ranging from how to do your own micro lengths to your tape, ins To your clip ins to raw hair, so i highly encourage you guys to check out that playlist below now getting to the hair. So, as you can see, the border is her perimeter. That hair is going to be totally out, i'm going in now and sectioning off. The s-shaped braid that i'm going to start cornrowing as you can now see so when you're doing in between sew ends, you can either do a braided row, followed by a row of hair left out or, as i like to do it in the very back. You can do an s shape now doing the s shape, followed by the real left out kind of allows you to fit more tracks into that section. This is perfect for people who have a blunt cut now, if your hair is long - and you don't have a blunt cut, you can totally get away with doing a row of a track followed by a row of your hair left out. Now i'm going in and i'm taking this tool now, this tool is my micro link tool. You can totally use one of those crochet sticks, but since i didn't have that this tool i found out worked the same, and i'm now going to tack this braid down. Now the way that i sew it down, i found that it's better to feed it through the braid like you're, about to see this kind of gives me a flat base to work with from here. I'M gon na go ahead and tuck that braid into that little section, so that everything lays smooth. Once i get the basis of what i'm doing in this video done with, i do want to touch on a few topics. I want to talk a little bit about the shift in the hair extension world, particularly when it comes to black women, along with which extensions may be right for you, followed by what type of hair may be best. So after i show you guys what i am doing be sure to stick around for that now that that's all sewed in i am taking out my first row of hair, that's actually going to be left out now this row of hair, that's going to be left Out is going to allow her to do a half up half down now working my way to the side. I am now working on my side braids, and this is how i part off this portion of the hair. Keep in mind that i am going to section off two tiny braids right here. It won't just be one, but i needed to braid one first to kind of keep the hair out of the way. Now you can see. I went ahead and parted a second row that i'm going to connect to the piece that i just braided, followed by taking those braids back. I understand it sounds incredibly confusing and it may look confusing, although i hope it doesn't, but once you get the hang of it, it's actually really easy. And if you learn how to braid yourself, you can customize this braid pattern to fit any kind of style. You want now i'm following the same pattern on the other side of her head, i'm putting two braids on the side and i'm connecting those two braids together and then doing a braid in the back, but right here, i'm connecting that empty piece like so to that Braid and i'm going to keep on braiding. This is a good way to do it connecting the pieces. So you don't have too many flyaway pieces that you have to sew down with needle and thread now, instead of having two separate braids, which i would have had the tack down now. I only have to deal with this one, which is super easy. All i did was place it in between the two braids and, of course, i'm tacking this down with needle and thread to secure it guys, i'm so happy. My sister visited me. We had a ball moving forward, i'm taking out another row of hair now, with this row being left out. This is going to allow her to get the side part that she wants and i'm doing the same on both sides. I'M also going ahead and leaving out a portion over that braided part again. The hair that's being left out is to ensure a flat, install and also, if you wanted to do like cute too cute braids going to the back. You could do that with a little bit of your hair left out now. Moving on, we are doing the last braided piece now. This braid has to be very small because it's at the top of the head. So when you're working with the top of the head, you want those braids to be as small and flat as possible, so that your sewing won't be bulky here. I was trying to decide if i wanted to do just one braid or did i want to overlap them, but i decided to just take this braid around the crown of the head and then connect it as you'll see. So this is what i'm working with right here. I decided instead to just pin it like so and to sew that part down doing it. This way was actually incredibly flat. Now you can see when it comes to the crown of the head. I don't cornrow two braids. I only cornrow one, because that connecting piece is going to make it a little bit bigger anyway. So you want to try to minimize any cornrows at the top of your head that you possibly can. If you can get away with cornrowing it once like here and pinning it down two sides, that's gon na work for the best for you, and i did the same. So our foundation is now complete. The plaits are gon na, be hair, that's left out and what's cornrowed is gon na be hair. That'S soon on. This is the bundles that she brought me. She previously had this from an old install, so we just went ahead and sewed that back in now, when it comes to sewing on the tracks, you can choose to double weft it like so or single left. It i mentioned in multiple videos. I prefer to single weft my hair because i feel like it lays flatter and also i have thinner hair. So i don't need you know. Three four bundles going in my sister also has very thin hair. So i feel like she didn't need a super like a whole lot of hair granite. If that's the look you're going for that's the look you're going for, but i would recommend single wefting it. Unless you know for a fact, you want volume or if you're, going incredibly long, because you know with longer hair, you need more bundles for it to look full now, i'm going in and i'm sewing the tracks i like to go over and under and right here. I'M showing you how i flip the track and it's pretty much a hand motion once you kind of get it. You can pretty much flow with it. Mine is not perfect and i don't think it has to be perfect. I think once you have a flat foundation sewing it on is a piece of cake now that you guys seen how i got this down and how i'm sewing it on. I want to touch on a few different topics. Let me take a sip of lemon water because we got a lot to talk about okay, so if you guys don't know, i started doing videos in the past just about hair extensions. Now i personally like very natural, looking installs i like for my hair to be out in the front i like to have my own hairline. I started my channel doing videos like that doing tape and hair extensions, and that was during a time honestly, when wigs started popping off a lot of people were in closures and frontals, which was pretty cool. I just i really didn't, have people who have my type of texture, hair, doing those videos, so that's why i kind of started doing them, but have you guys noticed that these type of hair extensions are coming back like i'm, starting to notice more people are wearing Less wigs and more sew-ins, particularly sew-ins with leave-outs, and i'm kind of happy about that. I run the social media page for a salon. If you guys don't know so i pretty much see all that's going on in the hair game and it makes me happy to see that people are using their natural hairline, because i think i like wearing my natural hairline when i do wear extensions. If you guys don't know, i'm also on a weaveless 2022 journey trying to rock my natural hair, but i do lowkey with my extensions and i do like wearing my natural hairline, because i feel like your hairline, of course, unless it's like you know, some people have Problems with their hairline, i'm not talking about those people, but for the majority of us your hairline fits your face. So when you put a fake hairline on it can make you look better, but i feel like it's catfishing, i don't know so i do enjoy that. A lot of women are getting someone with leave out. I just think it looks way more natural. I think it's super undetectable a lot of the time and from what i've heard a lot of like men or like other women. You know i have seen lace in person and i know i can always tell if it's a lace, even if it looks good on camera. So i know a lot of people appreciate us kind of going back to the sew-ins now. My theory in this is that, because we went through a season of wearing wigs, if you guys don't know if you're trying to grow your hair out, wigs are gon na get you there, because your hair is braided up you're, not manipulating it you're, not combing it. So a lot of people's hair grows in wigs and i think, since a lot of women went through a season of wigs, it got their hair long enough. So now they can do styles, like tape ins. Now they can do styles like micro links. Now they can do styles like sewing with leave outs, and i'm just really happy about that. Let me know what you guys think about it pillow now i want to kind of jump into what hair extension method may be right for you. So on the screen. I have listed what kind of hair extension methods may be right for each person. My favorite hair extension method is the in-between sew-in. I found that to be a happy medium between the versatility of microlinks, followed by not having all of my hair left out now when it comes to what hair extensions are best to use. You guys know that i really like raw hair extensions. I feel like that matches my hair texture the best, so i'm going to recommend that to everyone, no matter what install you're getting now you can see, we are done, sewing in the hair. So now i'm going in and showing you what hair she has left out and i went ahead and i did cut layers into this hair because when you do have some of your hair left out, you want to make sure that it's flowing nicely so cutting the Face framing layers are going to be an absolute mess, followed by a little bit of hair in between um. This is my favorite way of styling hair. I pinned up my own hair and i decided to pin hers up as well now. This is the finished. Look. I want to go to prom girls when they take them clips out they put on a dress. The best part about this install is the versatility that you can do without having to manipulate majority of your hair. Like you would microlinks here, you can see she was able to do both side parts. She can do a middle part if she wanted to and one of her favorite ways to wear it is the half up half down like so um. Of course she can do. Having the hair all up into a ponytail, and that's actually how i check if the install is legit or not, if you can put it up into a bun like this, you know that is an install worth having you like it. It'S the fancy shoes that girl looks like a color. All you need is a backpack, so that's pretty much it for this. Video leave me a like. If you guys enjoyed it and i'll, see you in my next one bye,
