Hi Shirley it's Lana and Jasmine. Oh we're here with another quick tips with curly clips and today we're talking about wearing your curly flex fortune extensions to the airport. Do you would do it Jasmine? Do you have any experience with this? No, I don't. I have not traveled with my curly clips in before I wouldn't recommend doing it only because you may have problems with them and you may not, and if you want to take that chance, that's fine, but me personally, I say just pull your hair up it in A quick button fly there be comfortable and then, when you get there, you know clip your clippings in and beautiful yeah and be cute. I mean I've heard from customers. I'Ve heard it go both ways I haven't heard from customers that they go straight through security. No problems, no issues, you know it's it's normal and then I have heard some horror stories like one of my poor customers. They made this girl take out clip after clip at the airport, and actually it was this black TSA officer, lady, who, personally, I think she was hating, because there was no need to make her take out weft after wet in front of all those people. But you know you just never know you never know, and so for me what ycc wasn't about to my bum this, because my mom is like girl. I will walk up to this airport, where my curly clips and if they make me, take them out imma, pass out business cards to everybody and Leung great marketing gratitude good great right, that's my first minute I wear I have which I do more often is they Make this thing called like a pop cuffs wait, let me go get the girl okay, so they make this thing called Apopka. I think it might even be from a black owned company, but I'm not quite sure, and it's awesome and if you, even if you have really short hair this puff puff, will like pull it all together and give you. You know all your possible length up top and then from there I'll just fold my natural hair over and then I have a perfect bun. You know I'll put like one bobby pin in to secure the hair and why I have like a really high effortless. Looking you know, really sweet bun and then, when I get to where I'm going. If I want to wear my curly clips, then I will put them in as soon as I reach my destination um. You can also, if you like, you need to be prepared, like the minute you step out of the airport doors, because, let's say you have an event you're going to directly what I recommend, if you don't want to take the risk of having to snap all of Your hair extensions out at security, you know where your hair and you know in a bun, you know maybe using a puff-puff. If you have, you know medium like the shorter hair or you know kind of. Like you know, the goddess braids around the sides are a really easy, effortless style or, like you know that style. I think it's like a chignon where you like kind of like tuck and fold. Everything do something simple like that and then, when you get to the bathroom right before you get to baggage claim, you know it's not, but you have to stop in and if you're too embarrassed to do in front of mirror. What I to say is like going to a stall and then snap what you can in the stall and then when you come out you know, then you should only be readjusting. But I say to go to the bathroom before you get to baggage claim, because in my experience people aren't in there so you'll just have more privacy. So that way, when you do get assigned this plan, you get into your taxi or uber ever you are ready to go to your event, and you know it's a non-issue. So don't try to stress that. I think a lot of people get in trouble when they like and I'm Way guilty of this, where I used to stress about what I was gon na do with my hair. You know at the airport, you don't want to look messy, you don't wan na. You know you just want to look nice and presentable still go for an effortless style like a bun. You know using your cuff cuff or go with a you know, goddess rig and then just snap them in and you got there when you get to a hotel or wherever and I think that's the best way to deal with airports yeah while you're. You know, while you're using clipping yeah, I have to agree with you on that one. I wouldn't want to take that chance like she says some people had. You know good experiences with them. Some people had that experience with them, and I just wouldn't want to juggle that chance run I'll, save myself embarrassment, possibly you know so, like I said, just be comfortable and go for something afterwards. Absolutely absolutely, and you should be okay, you should you should feed okay and a lot of people ask me well why don't you make clippings with like without the metal bits and the problem is, I really don't even think the metal is the issue with it, because With those body scanners they have now, they can like the fact that they're clips on the extensions like they can see, but there's something in your head, so it really doesn't even have to do with metal core. I think they can see that see if you have soem you just can't take that out. Okay, so you know that would be weird. I should always be able to see everything into your soul. Yeah. Okay, I wouldn't know what I would do if I walk through a metal detector and it's like anyway. I married your girl and if you remove everything possible - and it's still going on, I might not have had better luck in Europe. I think I tested it once a hero, but I was I was a flight I was flying like we didn't eat you and I don't think I had it be lunch. But again, that's it. I don't always take the chance. You know just figure out a really nice natural style that you can pair where the puff puff is your friend and you have medium to short hair and yes, that's it. So let me know what you guys do. Have you ever tried going to the airport in here clip in extensions? What were the results? What are your tips just for wearing extensions when you're on the go and we're here being a jet setter? Let us know in the comments below and we will top

Allyson Richmond: I went through customs to The Bahamas with no problems earlier this year. But coming back I got "beeped." I immediately announced very forthrightly to the Black TSA officer that I was wearing clip in extensions. She had on her blue gloves and patted down my head. While she was patting them down, I said, "Thank goodness a Black woman is doing this! Because we know that no one has any business putting their hands in our hair!" She laughed quietly, and did her job as gently and as non invasively as possible. It was over quickly. I walked away as if I were a queen. I've had bad experiences with TSA officers before I had even thought of wearing any kind of extensions. My hair wasn't the issue. Race was the issue. I do plan to wear them again when I go The Bahamas and also when I go to Canada in the coming weeks. Wearing my Kurlies is part of who I am and I'm not changing who I am for anyone. I wear my Klips with pride and I'm not ashamed to tell people I'm wearing them. If I have to show them or take them off, I'll do so with the poise and dignity I learned from my mother.

The Emmasculator: No matter what my hair is like, my head gets patted down. I'm really not sure what it is. Whether it be clips-ins, box braids, or wigs, I'm always setting off alarms. At one point I even asked to see what the x ray image looked like, and in this case it highlighted the right side of my face...not sure what going on there. One thing I do ask when they pat down my hair is that they get a new pair of gloves. I've seen them handling all manner of things with those gloves and none of that airport funk shall touch my hair. Ick. Ick. Ick

LoveMyCurls: It's illegal for them (TSA) to search you or put their hands in your hair now. . Without reasonable doubt or cause.. This has been for two years now... I'm a lawyer, honestly you should say something if this happens to you. Speak up, if you feel your being racially profiled. . . . . #If it takes going to the top! ✊✊✊✊ stand!

Thefunalongtheway: This is funny! I never thought about it!.. Hahha.. My mom had a MRI, and she had to take off her wig...and hand it to the technician haha..she's got a good sense of humor though!

Akua Amponsah: i went to the navy academy with my clip ins and i told the white security guy i had them in but he still felt through my head. it was more funny than embarassing in my situation. but having to take them all out in an airport sounds horrific

Yvonne Anderson: TSA should have offered a private room to do that in. That was really mean. I was had to submit to a pat down but I said you not do this in public and they didn't. I also told them how I felt about them putting their hands on my body only to say that they found nothing. I was livid.

NailahBisou: My hair ALWAYS gets patted down at airports. But I don't have any horror stories as of yet. They usually just ask me if my hair is fake and I say yes. Then they take the black metal detector thingie and scan it against my head and then I'm good to go. Currently living in Korea. When I first got here, I had to be ready to go as soon as I landed because I was picked up by my employer and then taken to my job to meet my coworkers. Too embarrassed to put install my clips in front of a public mirror. And its hard to do it in a stall without a mirror. Because I part my front different ways and that basically depends on which side of my natural hair has the best curls or which side of my face has the most pimples, thus i should part my hair in a way where my hair is completely covering those pimples. lol. But I've also been patted down without clips. I know how to manipulate my natural hair to make it seem longer & fuller than it actually is. So when my hair is straight, I do this messy bun style using only hair pins. So I have to use like 15-20 hair pins which triggers the alarm. To which security said to me "Dang girl, you have a whole dollar store pack of hair pins in your hair." Ruuuuude! Because those were conair hair pins and they cost like $5-$7. lmao

kemi7689: Also try improving your clips with strong plastic for people who travel and probably make your product cost-effective for customers. I don't really like discussing my business with TSA officers especially in the States. The better I out the better.

Catherine Fahy: I have never been beeped for wearing clip in hair extensions but I was beeped once for wearing suspenders with clips. I had to give the lady a quick flash of my stockings!

Rousselande: They usually pat my hair lol. I haven't had to take them out though. This includes domestic and international trips.

FlawlessAndFancy: I agree with y'all. It makes no sense to try TSA or any other immigration check points. LOL Lana, great marketing strategy though!

Ms.Bubs4fun: It all depends on the TSA person. From my experiences, people are always tougher on black women. They gave me a hard time because the metal detector showed my panty liner pad. That's actually happened twice and they felt me up between my legs.

TheWashAndGoChick: My hair clip in extensions beeped in Denmark and the officer asked me if I had hair extensions. I said yes, then I had to pass this kinda X-Ray machine and the only metals I had were in my scalp, so the he found a female officer who gently "massaged" my scalp and then they let me go. In Panama city, Panama. I was wearing a wig that beeped, the officer asked if I was wearing a wig, then she only lightly patted my scalp, and then let me go. I didnt mind. They were both gentle. Hey, I want to travel looking fashionable. I normally dont feel fashionable on a bun, besides travelling more than 2 hours laying your head on a bun is uncomfortable.

The Selina Diaries: Aww that is so sad. Yes that lady was definitely hating smh

kennedra: Never to the airport but went into the court house and no beeping. I didn't even think about how I could have set that thing off until I was walking to the elevator

Ashley Butler: Wigs with plastic clips work too from Amazon they work great

scrambledeggs09: Does anyone have any suggestions on a quick solution for the gym? When I wear the clip ins, it's usually in a down hairstyle and I go to the gym most of the time M-F. I go straight to the gym from work.

Western Goddess: I'm sadly not a big traveller via air, but I once had a job as a airport security agent & the best advise I could give anyone who experienced an issue with the meatal detectors because of their hair extension is to communicate, communicate & communicate :-) even if you have to tell everyone at the security point you got some clip-in's '  Lol -  I also think maybe carrying a sample of one of the extensions may help as it may help the security agent at the airport understand better what is causing an issue ( if she or he don't already know ! )

Aya’s Dollhouse: Question does hand tied extensions safe to go through? I was planning to have some work done in my hair.

Nefertiti_goddess: my comment on this video....I would be very skeptical of the airport TSA can be pretty annoying when it comes to searching for only god knows what....like I'm really hiding a switchblade in my hair.....I guess some people might but why to the airport??? oh and I'm glad you mentioned the puffcuff that thing has been a lifesaver for natural hair clip ins or without them. however what I would be worried about is the clips ringing off the detector if they are made of metal. I'm not sure about that. but I've never traveled with clip ins more likely if I were going on a road trip there would be less of a concern. no airport

HollywoodCharityAuction.com: You two are too cute!

kennedra: Hi can we have a link/tutorial for that puff cuff

Nefertiti_goddess: was Lana holding a puffcuff? I really love that hair clamp

I LOVE LONDON: Girl... You know she was hating

NickiWatson: So far not. I went to philly over thanksgiving and it was cool.

チョコレート: Hey i have a question. Please someome answer. I have a sewing needle stuck in my hair it’s deep down in the sew in..it’s not bothering me i just lost it but i’m going to the airport next week..will they let me pass??

just myself j: What about lace wigs ?

M Beauty: Why not just wear ur real hair down put the clip ins with the regular luggage not carry on, then put in the extensions when u get to ur destination? U can be beautiful with ur real hair u don't have to pull it up or think u look silly without extensions. Poor black girls...
