Hey babies, welcome back to my channel. If you are new here, welcome now's a good time go ahead and subscribe. Y'All know today's video is in collaboration with toyotres. Of course, all the details will be listed down in my description box. This is there, of course, passion twist in the length 20 inch and a 1b. It is super lightweight, soft and natural. It doesn't actually have a smell. You guys know i'm 5 2. So i wanted to show you where this kind of stops on me and it's right above my boot up so um. This is going to be a quick tutorial just to show you how to avoid ever having to braid your hair and to get a quick and fast install in less than two hours so first thing. First, i'm definitely going to go ahead and start by moisturizing. My hair, obviously it's already been blow dried out and so start with clean hair. Please, ladies like, if you do not have the ability to um, you know blow dry, your hair out. That'S fine! Here'S a flashback of a video where i did this exact same style without blow drying my hair, i actually just um kind of put it in four different braids and then allowed it to dry overnight and, of course, in this tutorial, i went ahead and preset my Baby hairs just because, that's more so the annoying part at the end. So what i'm going to do? First, things first is go ahead and start sectioning off my hair, so you can definitely determine how many parts boxes you want i'm saying boxes, because once we get into the tutorial, you guys will see exactly what i mean. I'M going to start off with the middle part, just because why not and of course, i'm going to go ahead and part off one section directly behind my ears and then of course, do the same thing. On the other side, just to kind of get the hair out of the way. So, if you guys are a beginner, this is going to be perfect for you, because your parts and your boxes do not have to be perfect. The way that the passion twists are actually going to be laid is going to allow for a lot of flexibility now, first things. First, i did want to take a look at how many rows and parts i wanted to give myself, because in some tutorials i do less parts more parts. It kind of just depends the way that i get a really good idea on what i need for each section is just to hold up one piece of the hair. In this case, it's passion twist alongside my actual scalp and then just kind of see what the boxing space needs to look like. Obviously, you do not want two inch boxes with um. You know really thin one inch in with hair. So in this case, i think i did five and five on each side. Don'T quote me, you guys will end up seeing this process, and so now i'm just gon na go ahead and start sectioning this off and pretty much get started. Now, if you guys are not familiar with this process already, then you will need some rubber bands so go ahead and get those prepared um in one tutorial that i did back in the day. I think a little bit last year, beginning of quarantine, i actually showed you how to do this style with braiding, but i understand that everyone is not a pro braider, so i wanted to make it a little bit easier for you guys that did not know how To braid - and maybe twisting was literally the only option so here we're going to take a little bit of edge control and that's actually going to help us really get the part as straight as possible. So um, i believe i was using the cream of nature. Y'All know i pretty much use that for every single style, just because it really holds my hair down, and i use the one in the. I think it's like a yellowish orange pack. It'S supposed to be their super hold, go ahead and apply a little bit of that at the base of your hair. You really don't need too much, because again your hair is going to be tucked away and then go ahead and use that rubber band to secure the box in place definitely make sure to not put too much tension on this, because you are going to be connecting These to each other, so you don't want your edges to literally be pulled as tight as possible. There'S no need for all the extra pulling and you don't even have to braid this all the way down or twist it all the way down, because you're literally gon na connect. This so you'll see what i'm talking about here, i'm just taking the first box connecting it to the second box, and i'm gon na continue that process all the way until i get across my hairline so from here this one's kind of one of those tutorials where I can really talk less and just kind of show you what it is that i'm doing and then i'll pop back in once we get to the back of the style, uh, hey foreign and all right guys. So, working on that last connect box is what i'm calling them and, of course now my hair is free. This is where you can decide if you literally want to put your hair in a small bun at the nape of your neck and go ahead and crochet over that, but just to make this tutorial a little bit more sensible. I went ahead and parted this down. Like i would do a cornrow kind of in a not even a neat way at all, this does not have to be perfect, no one's going to see it and i'm literally just gon na do a flat twist. So it's kind of like a double twist going. All the way down to the nape of my neck. Now, if you don't understand how to um double swiss, then that's okay go ahead and literally just roll. This down or again put your hair in one small ponytail at the nape of your neck and put it in a bun and literally crochet over that the hair is so thick and full that you would not see it now, because these are twists. I did need to have something just to really hold the style together. So at the nape of my neck i applied a rubber band, then i'm going to continue to twist the rest of my hair down and, of course, apply a rubber band at the very end of my hair, obviously so that they don't unravel. So this part to me is kind of self-explanatory. I'M gon na continue this all the way around. I think i did about four or five braids or twists going backward and then, of course, we'll start the crochet process in just a little bit and if you guys are curious what product it is that i'm putting on my hair um. Honestly, i don't remember so i'll try to look through some of my stuff and link that down into my description box, i'm pretty sure it's some type of like castor oil or just any type of protective oil to really lock in the moisture. Since your hair is going to be tucked away, will be fine me all right, so just finishing these up, you guys can see um very easy to do very quick. I think this part really took me, maybe about 30 minutes, maybe, and so of course, if you don't know how to sew, that's, okay, i'm literally just taking a bobby, pin and pinning it up. That'S it super simple now on to the crocheting part right, so the great thing about toyotres. Is they actually give you everything? You need right away from rubber bands to additional clips and all type of things to kind of beautify the actual style. But here is what the latch looks like, so you can see how it opens and closes literally going to go ahead and slide the latch or the crochet needle through the bottom part of my um box, so right up underneath the rubber band again. This is why you don't want them to be too too tight, go ahead and open up that latch, it might open up on its own and then, of course, the passion twist hair does already have a pre loop, which is perfect, go ahead and swoop that down Close the latch and slide it right underneath your pop, your box, braid, i want to call it a braid, but it's not even that it's literally just a box once you get that going, go ahead and open up that loop, a little bit more see how open It is, and it can move freely, you don't want it too, too tight and then go ahead and knot that pull it down to cover the rubber band and voila. I'M gon na go ahead and do this again, just so that you can see um. Of course you want to slide the crochet needle underneath the box with it closed, don't try to do it while it's open because it will get caught and tangled in your hair. Then it's going to hurt yeah, so try not to do that. Try to keep it closed once it slides, underneath it's going to naturally open on its own loop, the crochet hair on it go ahead and slide it through and knot. It super easy super lightweight you guys. Obviously this is tension free because your hair is not braided at all. So when i tell you guys, i did this style in an hour and 30 minutes. This is why i didn't speed up the video too too much, because i really wanted you guys to get full insight on what it was like to do this style almost in real time, um and so yeah, just gon na go ahead and continue this across the Front and then once we get to the back, you guys will see how i'm literally just adding the crochet hair up each twist and then i'll begin to fill it in in the ends. Foreign. Oh, oh, all, right, babe! So, for the most part, the hair is pretty much full. We are almost done, but i i kind of wanted to take another. Look. You guys my makeup was still intact. I was happy about that and um. I did go ahead and kind of re-twist this one. Just because i don't know what was going on with this particular twist, but it's passion to it, so it can kind of be messy. That'S okay, but you guys can see here where, if i was to like put this up half up half down with a bun, you would clearly be able to see where the crochet starts and finishes. So you want to go ahead and fill these little spots in, and you don't have to put the hair extremely close together, thankfully, because the twists are really chunky, soft and full. You definitely want to just kind of sporadically add them in maybe about a finger width. Apart and you guys can see how quickly um i was able to go ahead and get that added and we're going to go ahead and finish off the style from here. Oh all, right babe! So that's pretty much it for the tutorial. You guys are always wondering. Well, can you see the braids in between you kind of can, but if you do the brush, the box is small enough. Honestly, it will be so unnoticeable now i haven't tried this with color, but definitely let me know if that's something you guys are wanting to see just because i know everybody does not naturally have darker hair or want to just use the 1b or the color one Hair, that's fine! Let me know down in the comment section below. I love you guys so much stay pretty and i will see you in my next video bye, babe

ForeverCryssy: I used one full pack that came with 8 separate bundles of hair. The link is in the bio. The hair can also be found in some beauty supply stores. Thanks for the support #sunflowergang

Fenty girl: I can proudly say that I DID IT TODAY I’m so happy because this was my first time ever doing my hair by Myself thanks Cryssy keep going

Fairy Queen: Before we know it we're not going to need to get our hair braided in a shops anymore I'm so excited I ran into these videos because I was thinking what I should do to my hair next and this is definitely a go to can't wait to give it a try.

Sammi Bammi: I just followed everything you did with my hair and i LOVE IT. saved myself $100. Thank you sooooooo much

Paula G. Akinwole: I love this. I crochet my hair all the time and this is a method that will save so much time. Instead of going up and down in the back, go left to right. You get more coverage cause the hair is layered on top of each other.

Catherine A: This was my first time trying to do crochet twists on myself, and your tutorial was perfect for a beginner like me! Thank you!

Breona Amaryllis 🦋: This style is too cute & definitely beginner friendly! I want to get into doing my own hair instead of always going to a stylist, so I might give this a try in the future You did a wonderful job

ChampagneMami: This is literally my favorite protective style I’ve done it numerous of times at the salon. And probably spent a band doing so. This vid is the motivation I need to try to do the style on my own.

Charlie Barnes: Thank you so much for this! I have made so many mistakes with my daughters hair. And I have been ripped off at salons only to leave for adults to say "those are prison braids" so I am taking this into my own hands. You and this video are a god send. I am learning crochets to protect my daughters hair so it can grow out. Thank you so much

Azia Zhane: Tbh the prep style before the hair added was super cute lol I’d rock it out for sure But I love this method I have to try! Especially because I can’t cornrow my own hair

Rachel Robertson: Thank you so much for this video! I did this rubber band method recently, and I loved how the style came out, AND when I took the style down (5 weeks later), I had no tangles/knots. Usually when I take my hair down from braids, it is “knot city central”. I’m using this method going forward, thank you!

Jasmine Byrd: Girl I just bought 28" soft locs and I just found you channel. I'm about to try this technique asap!!!! I'm not good on braiding my own hair frfr but hunni you are a miracle from the universe. Love from Alabama!! ❤❤❤

Aleshia Penn: I absolutely love this! I usually get others to do mine and sometimes I do my own. I recently had surgery and was looking for an easy but cute braid pattern that I could use to do my own. This looks like it will be the jackpot for me! Thank you!!!!

rotjames1: New subscriber!! This was the most detailed and easiest install I’ve seen for non braiders! I would definitely love to see additional color added as a highlight. This will be my next hair style . Thank you for this video

Jazzylocs: Super helpful! I combed out my locs a few months ago due to severe alopecia & balding. Finding simple, inexpensive protective styles has been a difficult adjustment, but I feel like I can def do this style ❤️

Joi Howard: I absolutely love this technique!! The only difference is I would apply the same connections to the back like the front. I would start from the neck to the middle then twist/braid across the hair left in the middle. I like mine in a pony tail. Thanks for this

Lisa Dawson: Perfect perfect perfect in every way I’m not a braider so this was right on time for me I’m a new fan ❤️just beautiful

JaMeah Oliver: The style looks so easy and cute even before you added the hair lol . Sending this to my stylist cause this is def being done after weaves ! I love this . Thank you cause I don’t like tension at all on my head

Trenise TV: Loved this tutorial because I can’t braid and lately I have been doing easy styles. Thank you

Christine Scott: Sis,thank you soooo much for this video! I'm planning on doing my hair myself to save money but I've been dreading cornrowing it. This is so much easier & quicker. Years ago I used to box braid my own hair with extensions. That took about 6 hours. I could get it done in 4 hrs if I rushed it. I'm certainly not looking to spend that much time on my hair now. So this is a quick easy protective style I can do myself. And yes I want to see you do different colors! Much love from New York ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Vanessa Rivera: This is perfect timing! I bought hair last week and did a test install. I was fighting trying to do the “regular” rubber band method or braiding the crochet hair in. My hair is THICK and I struggled to blend it in. I’m doing this tomorrow. Thank you

Stephanie Pink: Nice!!! I will do this on daughter’s hair. I am not good at braiding. Thank you for your patience and showing how to do the passion twist. You are a blessing in teaching. God Bless!!!

Crystal Thomas: You did a damn good job I love the passion twist and you taught me to crochet my hair a different way... Thanks!!! Beautiful

JR Hudson: Ingenious! You'll be rich one day. I'm so bad with braids and twists that I'm sure I couldn't do this but you made it look so easy. Thanks for posting!

Oshea Jackson: I really love how this looks on you. Thanks for the tutorial, I was looking for a way to work with this hair without unraveling it to add my hair into it. I'm going to try this today, thanks again. Love your videos and your personality

Kassandra: Thank you so much for this! I’ve been teaching myself how to flat twist because I don’t know how to actually braid on the scalp yet but I want to try new shit besides wigs. This is PERFECT. My hair appointment was cancelled right before school starts for me and I just really want something where I don’t have to get up and do it every morning, Thank you thank you thank you! ❤️❤️

TTJackson: Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. I'm a mama of for daughters with thick long hair and was looking for protective style that was quick and easy with Crochet techniques. I came across your video and I was like YASSSSS QUEEN!!! Precious Nwokoro: You just saved me for this week, thank you so much. It didnt come out as beautiful as yours because I didn't use edge control and my hair is not relaxed but it is still beautifully manageable.

The Christian Crochet Addict: I love this style! it's so easy to do and quick. I do it while watching tv!

Xxix_desii_xo Xo: I would love to do this for my daughters hair. Great method!!

QueenP: Love this style! Your tutorial was very detailed and to the point! You’re gorgeous too & make up flawless

Britaney Serpas: This is just so beautiful. I had a customer come in to my work today. She had these type of braids. I wanted to know more about them. My customer had two colors in her hair. It helped with seeing the beautiful details in her braids. I love it.

youtubename: This is a great tutorial. Thank you, now I don’t have to pay to get my hair done for my trip.

Diamond Venust: Thank you I just finished my hair and it came out just like yours except I used faux locs style instead. It came out so pretty

Sherkeitha: Thank you so much for this video!!! You were very thorough, patient, and informative. I suck at braiding so this is PERFECT!!!!! Can’t say thank you enough for THIS. ❤️❤️❤️ New subie

Kimberly Simons: This looks amazing and so much easier. I usually do cornrows or individual platts when crocheting, but I'm going to try this to save time.

Naturalife Soap: This is by far the best passion twist tutorial I’ve seen and I’ve seen a lot! Thanks so much. My hair looks great.

hisfancy17: This is the best tutorial video I have EVER watched! Seriously this was everything! I never feel like I can do these styles, but you definitely motivated and inspired me! Especially since I’m a flat twist queen (that’s the only thing I can do) lmao THANK YOU SO MUCH! There have been other videos I’ve seen and if they hadn’t sped it up i may have been able to do it, but I didn’t have that problem with this video. I’m about to do this style with crochet braids or faux locs. I’m so excited! I can braid but not on my own head. I can def see I’m gonna have to split it up though, idk how you managed to hold your arms up that long lmao

Nurse Jessica : This was definitely a game changer. I love passion twists but they took me about 7-8 hours…this 1-2 hour method will be my go to!

La Shay TruMarie: Had to come back and comment. Thank you for this! I watched it months back. Bought the hair after watching and finally made the time to do it. I used the 8inch with a black/copper ohmbre. your technique worked great but I found I had to braid the back cause my flat twists werent staying tight. Either way, hair came out BOMB! KellyJane: I love how you invest the bulk of time on the important part (the front), and quickly do the back, which usually is harder anyway. And It seems so much less bothersome to not twist our own hair down. Bout to do this, probably tomorrow. Thanks!

Khadijah W: Love this!!! Thinking of doing this before I have my baby in a few weeks.

Sugar Spice And Everything Nice: Looks very clean and professional. Thank you for this tutorial

theresmore2learn: Wow. This is a wonderful video. I've been anxious about wearing braids since I got older. Not sure if they would look as good, as well as since I moved from NYC, my girl Debbie can no longer do my hair unless I do the 90 minute drive. But I have been looking at videos non stop for 2 weeks, and this video has given me the security that I can do my own braids this way since I cannot cornrow either . Thanks so much. I'll be looking for more of your videos. Thank you.

Lovely Pierre: I am so going to do this on my daughters hair and mines! I love it! Great tutorial! Thank you
