Hello, everybody welcome back to the channel. My name is wendy and welcome to wendy's. Curls today is a very special video because for the first time ever, i'm doing knotless braids on my hair. Actually this is the first time i'm ever braiding with extensions or weave. In my hair by myself, i always get it done at a salon so that this is the first time i'm doing it by myself, i'm a little nervous. So i hope it comes out good, so this should be interesting either way, i'm trying so that counts for something right. So i've already washed and blow dried, my hair, so my hair is actually in the parts that i'm going to be braiding and i just parted it so that it's easy for me to part as i go along, i actually had my husband dan help me with All of my parts, so they should be straight. Hopefully i haven't checked him out yet, but i trust him so um yeah, so i'm all set to get started and i'm going to start with the back. Since i don't really know what i'm doing nobody's gon na see the back, so i can mess up all. I want right, yeah, all right, okay, so i have my six packs of braiding hair. I have a comb to part with some clips, some braid gel and something to detangle my hair, so i'm all set and ready to braid okay, so i have my first section all ready to go and i'm grabbing the all day locks braid gel that i actually Ended up having an allergic reaction to later on, but i'm super sensitive, so this could have happened with anything honestly, but overall, this braid gel worked really well and keeping my hair in place and just making the style last longer. So i'm just really working it into my roots. So now i'm just carefully parting, my hair, so that each section is even - and i can just go ahead and braid it as i go. So this is my first braid so much try on era. I unbraided this braid so many times, but then i finally got the hang of it. I was so happy, oh my god, my first braid, that's so crazy! Yes, i'm done that's it! That'S it! So i finally finished my first row. It took me a while, but by this time i started to get the hang of it and before i show you guys what i'm doing, i'm just gon na go through my sections and really get familiar with braiding and see how i'm actually doing this, because i Really don't know, i started separating my hair and twisting it up so that i can just start braiding as soon as i'm ready to, rather than having to stop and part my hair every time i'm ready for a new braid, i feel like it helped me. Go much faster, it helped my braids be neater and less hair in the way. So i just basically worked my way up the back of my hair, just like this by parting it and getting my sections ready before i braid so the whole point of knotless braids is to start your braid off with your hair at the root. So i'm just really getting as close as possible to my root without hurting myself and then once i get enough of my hair braided, i'm adding in the hair bit by bit, so that it is reaching all the way to the bottom. And every braid is pretty. Even so, i'm using about two to three pieces for each braid, so this is actually the next day i went to bed. I put my hair in a ponytail and decided to do the front the next morning and i'm so happy. I did because i was exhausted. Y'All, the back took me three hours basically and the front took me another three hours, so in total i spent about six hours really six to eight hours, because i took so many breaks for six to eight hours to do all this, but i finished the front. I finished the back and i have one section left and i'm just so excited, but i did wake up with an allergic reaction and my face was swollen from the braid gel, but that wasn't going to stop me from using it. Like. I said i break out really easily from stuff, so i can't even blame the gel i just have really sensitive skin, but other than that my hair was looking amazing. I was loving what i was feeling it felt super lightweight and my braids weren't slipping out. So i took that as a good sign: um - hey okay, so i'm going to attempt to show you guys how i fed in the hair for my first time remember. This is my first time ever trying this. So don't be too hard on me in the comments, because i really didn't know what i was doing, but my hair worked out anyway. So i'm happy about that. But basically i just put it between my fingers and find and found a way to wrap it around. So that it stays in the hair now with braiding, so much goes into it. You have to understand how to feed in the hair. You have to understand the amount of pressure that you're putting on each braid, there's just so much that go into it. That'S why people pay hundreds of dollars for this hairstyle that i'm attempting to do myself, but overall, i think i did a pretty good job. Everything turned out really. Well, if you don't come too close to it, you won't notice any imperfections. Maybe if you come up close, you might see some stuff, but i'd say for my first time. This is not bad at all and i will definitely definitely definitely be trying this style again because i'm completely in love so lightweight so easy to manage. And it's just beautiful, i love it so so! Okay, so now i'm just dipping my hair into some boiling hot water. This helps your ends, stay put and stops your hair from unraveling. So last but not least, i'm just taking some mousse to put all over my hair to really get at those flyaways and just help. My hair stay put and keep it in place. So i'm finally done i'm just tying my hair down so that that mousse can really lay everything flat and my hair can look so fresh, but i'm so happy to be done. Thank you, god, so guys. This is exactly two weeks later. My braids are still intact and i'm loving the way they look still nice and neat. I definitely recommend trying this hairstyle if you've been wanting to for a while. This is my first time and it worked out. So i hope i inspired you with this video and don't forget to like subscribe and comment. I love you guys and i'll see you in the next video. Thank you.

Brandi Smith: Not only is your hair beautiful, but your skin is as well. I've tried to braid with the feed-in method and have not been successful. I just don't get it. I also wasn't successful with the braid gel as it caused the hair to dread and had to end up cutting hair to almost bald a month later. Did you wash the hair with vinegar? The unwashed hair could cause itchiness and a reaction as well. Anyway, you did a wonderful job!

Desiree Mpanza: Looking great
