Hey lovers and welcome back to my channel, so today i am doing mini braids. I am just showing you all my press-ons that i have on right now and, let's just say they made it through the struggle. This is a week in some later and they're. Still on i've had them on for about two weeks already so yeah. This is my crusty dusty hair. I had a sew-in in and i just took that out. So what i'm going to do is um wash my hair with my aussie moist shampoo. We are working with limited products here in alaska, so i am making it do what it do with what i could get at walmart. So yes, the aussie, moist, shampoo and conditioner, but first i'll go ahead and shampoo, my hair, so to deep condition. I'M going to use my old, faithful, my mega growth, deep conditioner and, of course i brought my chirpy towel with me here to alaska, so i can make sure i'm drying my hair appropriately. So this is my freshly washed hair and what i'm going to do is just part it into two sections detangle with my wide tooth comb and then just deep conditioned once all of the deep conditioners in my hair. I just take the clips out because i didn't want them to stay on while i deep conditioned and then i just put a regular, regular grocery bag right over my hair, because again here in alaska, i don't have all the things that i would normally need. For. My hair um so yeah, i'm just doing a plastic bag, and i kept it on for about 30 minutes. Okay, so this is like really random and completely unrelated, but i have been using the cocoa butter stick on my lips at night and it has been pure heaven, the perfect chapstick, so now that my hair is completely deep conditioned, i'm just going to split it back Into two sections and then finger detangle to kind of reduce some shedding. I know i can get carried away with the wide tooth comb. I do end up using the wide tooth comb just to make sure it's completely detangled before i let it air dry. I am going to add my tresemme leave-in, not leaving my tresemme heat protectant while i let it air dry just so that that's on it and it's not completely just dry and brittle since i don't have any leave-in conditioner, hmm, hmm, hmm! So so so it's been about 20 minutes and my hair is mostly dry, but i am going to take my handless blow dryer to get my roots straight um. I do want like kind of a cleaner look, but i didn't want to put a lot of heat on my hair completely. So that is why i let it air dry a little bit and also so it can appear a lot thicker um, which happens when it air dries. So i'm going to blow dry my hair and then i will come back. So i am doing a middle part for these mini braids. So i'm just going to section off the front into two sections and then section off the back into two sections. Then i'll start braiding the front where my hands are the freshest, since those are the braids that will be seeing the most and seen more clearly than anything else. So i want to make sure i do the front first, while my hands are fresh and not bothered. So to moisturize, i'm going to use this s, curl spray, stuff and i'll use an old school bnb like pink moisturizer and oil. I found like this spray really helps with my hair and i do the lco method: relax natural doesn't matter. I found that lcl is the best moisturizing method for me, so i am spraying my hands first and then using the moisturizer and the oil on each section before i start braiding, so that the braids aren't super dry and this oil is just the um. I can't think of the name of it, but it's like for dry for dry hair um, like you know how the argan oil bottles, but i put it into this bottle so that i'm able to use it better. When i have my sew in so yeah and then this is the bnb moisturizer that i'm using just the old school one that i got from walmart um and i'm doing this to each section before i break so if you've seen other videos of mine, you know, I do not part okay, i don't care if these parts are clean crisp or what um as long as my roots are straight. So i'm just using my finger to um do my parts. I usually just do like round parts and then i'm just going to go ahead and braid it all down to braid my entire head. It took me about three and a half hours, so this is how much i have done so far, just across the front um and now we are going to jump into the back, do the same thing: moisturize spray, moisturizer and oil and then start braiding. I did braid these braids underhand because i just found that it was just easier for me to do it that way, instead of like straining my arms to braid on top. So these are all braided underneath here, you're sexy, and you know that me sexy. I show so once i finished braiding my entire head. I went back and added perm rods to the ends just to hold them so that they stay together. This is just a pack of perm rods that i found at walmart they're, different colors, but they're. All the same size - and i just spray the escrow spray on the end, just to get it a little bit saturated and then i just wrap them up in the rollers, and i did that overnight, just to help hold the braids and keep them in and without Unraveling, i should say because my hair is relaxed is, is so so once i finished i just put on my satin scarf and went to bed. So this is the next morning um i just took the bonnet off, took the scarf off started, unraveling the rollers, and i just fluffed them out a little bit, separated them a little bit and then i styled it for work. Do so. This is the finished. Look. I absolutely love these mini braids, probably going to wear my hair like this for the rest of my time here in alaska, simply because it's cute easy and simple um. So there you have it. If you like, this video, give it a thumbs up, subscribe, hit the bell - and i will see y'all in my next video
