Today, we're gon na be talking all about hair, hey guys! Welcome back to my channel if you're new here my name is tanisha. Today we're going to be talking all about hair the last two years i have been rocking a ponytail. I thought it was finally time to get my hair done again go back into a more protective hairstyle. I have extensions that are very long, but i also have my leave out so in today's video i'm going to share how i protect my leave out how i blend it with the extensions and all of the products that i use to take care of both my Real hair and my bot hair, so if you guys are excited for this video keep on watching, i hope you subscribe and join the fan. Let'S get into it. Okay, starting off, i feel like it is very important to note that great hair care starts with good hair. Like i said four ponytails for the past two years and i felt like i was destroying my hair by doing that so much product, so much gel. Just to put it back in a ponytail, so i wanted to protect my hair again, not damage it, and then i also wanted to invest in good hair. So i will have the hair company and stylist that i used. I feel like this is the best hair that i have ever had on my head before it is so soft, so silky even after a month, this is like a month of having it in. It'S still really soft. It hasn't started like piling up in the back. In the kitchens like it starts to get a little bit, tangly hasn't done that it is just like amazing. So it's been a month since i washed my hair kind of a long time, but i had a lot going on definitely needed a good wash. What i like to do first is start with washing my natural hair. I will put all of the extensions back in the ponytail. These are 20 inch extensions, so they are very long. I like to take my natural hair. I have some leave out and i use a few different products brand that i like to use. This is tgin. I only use this on my natural hair and then i use a different shampoo on the extensions i was recommended this i think by one of my friends. I was having issues with just taking care of my hair. I really struggled with it being so dry having it in a ponytail so much product like i really wanted to take care of my hair. She recommended me this brand and i love it. I have their moisture rich, sulfate, free shampoo, and then i also have the triple moisture replenishing conditioner. This not only smells amazing. It also leaves your hair, so soft silky. I know my hair is like really being protected nourished, and that is like the main thing when it came to my hair, especially with leave out you want to make sure that you're really taking care of it and it's not getting neglected. So i really wanted to use products that were specific for my natural hair and then i also have their miracle repair protective leave-in conditioner. This is the kicker, and i think this is the product that really makes my hair super super soft. It doesn't feel dry and that's like the number one thing i think i have like: 4c hair, it's really oily, so i need products that are going to make it feel moisturized, and this does that just feels like so hydrated, which i really really love once i Have shampooed my natural hair, i like to use a different type of shampoo and conditioner that is specific to this hair type. I think it's important to really tailor your products to your type of hair. For my extensions i like to use the nexus shampoo and conditioner, this is specifically the damage healing, but this has keratin protein and black rice. I feel like when you spend a little bit more money on products, and this goes with anything in life. When you invest in quality, you get the benefits out of it. This i love. It smells amazing - and i just use that all over my hair wash and condition let it sit for a little bit and then i'll wash it out. I like to also use this really cool brush that i got from amazon like two years ago, really awesome for like detangling. It works on my natural hair as well, and it just like makes everything really nice and soft. You get all the kinks out, especially when i'm washing my leave out. It gets so tingly so fast, especially if i'm doing my whole head. I really like to section off my hair just like brush it out in between, like washes snaps like that adds a lot of flexibility which is really good on both types, which i love that now that i'm done washing my hair. Let it dry a little bit now we're going to go on to styling. I like to let my hair air dry. I like to also use it's a 10 miracle leave-in product, so i'll put this in spray a little bit. It has 10 amazing benefits which i like to use on my hair before i'm using any heat or any styling tool started using this revlon blow dry styler. I find this actually works really well. I have had a really old blow dryer for the longest time. I actually stopped using it because i feel like it's just not that good. What i will do is suction off my hair. I will start with the cool setting, get my hair kind of used to having air being blown on it, and then i will switch to low heat and do that. On the end, specifically, i like to focus low heat on the ends, because i don't want split ends on my hair. Obviously i want to make this hair last as long as possible and take care of it low heat. On the end, once i'm feeling good about the dryness of the ends, i will go up to the root i will put on high heat, but kind of do it a little bit fast like don't want to focus the heat too long. I also want my hair to be really dry, especially at the base of my head. So that's the process that i'll do to cool low and then high i'll feel, like my hair is fully dry. That is just one little section blow dry and see how it really just gets everything really nice and dry, and straight probably go in and just really make sure i get the roots of my head and make sure that track really really dry. This blow dryer is like unreal like look how really nice and silky, and just straight that made it so good. Also, do that to my leave out cool to low and then high, then what i'll do with my leave out? Everything is dry to use this hot comb. On my leave out again, i have really coily hair and in order to make my hair blend with this, you need a hot coat. What i did is, i went in and applied a little bit more of the a 10 leave-in treatment, and then i blow-dried my natural hair on a low setting and then towards the end. I pressed it with high just for like a few seconds and what that does. Is it kind of straightens it before you have to go in with the popcorn after i've blow dried it? I will go in just hot comb. My hair just try to go as close to the root as possible. Slow and steady wins the race here you want to go slow as possible, so you don't burn yourself how about that straight i'll, just kind of put it back, we'll style it a little bit later, but i want to also get my edges here. Comb up my edges so that i can see them pin this back, so this doesn't get in the way lightly go in to our edges. Now our edges are kind of straight i'm going to do the rest of my hair. I found the straighteners. Yes, they get it straight, but it's also really damaging and it doesn't get to the base of your head. My stylist that installed my hair did that i kind of like to follow the practices that they do, because obviously they know hair they're professionals and they do it the best i wish i could find the one that, like my mom, used back in the day, that Was on the actual stove i feel like, i have to steal the one that she has, i'm sure they sell it, but i feel like i would buy it and it wouldn't be the same thing. So i bought this from amazon. It was super affordable and it works really well. It doesn't damage your hair as much, and i find it works the best for actually getting that hair straight and blended, with the extensions now moving on to actually styling the hair to get kind of like that salon. Blowout, look i like to use some products that again are really going to protect my hair when i'm using heat on it. First, obviously, you have to use a heat protectant. This one is just the tresemme keratin smooth with marula oil. I'Ve had this forever. I use it both on my natural hair just a little bit, but more so on the extensions, and i focus this on the ends because again the ends are where it gets. What ends the most gets the most damage from heat. So i really like to protect that, and i will do just like a little straighten. I feel like with the blow drying brush it straightens for the most part, just to kind of get it a little bit more silky i'll use a straightener. This one is just a nexus straightener. I'Ve had forever straighten it just a little bit depending on what type of curl pattern i want. If i want just more like an easy on-the-go type of look, i will use the straightener. Does the same type of job? Just have to be really strategic about the angle that you're straightening, that's what i use when i am kind of pressed for time. If you really want a bouncy blowout look, i definitely recommend using an actual curler. This is a t3 i like to use this as a wand. It does have a clamp. My stylist did use it the regular way when she did my hair, but i find that i just cannot use a curler, though the correct way. Let me know down below how you guys curl your hair. Do you use this type of curler? Do you use the clamp or do you treat it like one? I treat it like a wand, open it up and then just kind of like wrap my hair around it like that. I don't use the clamp just find it works better. For me. I don't know i just like these curlers more than the wands. I feel like the wands. Just don't do the same, but this is for more like that voluminous bouncy look, especially when i have more time if this takes a lot longer, because i'm using it the incorrect way, it's still really good and it's a good brand. Those are kind of like the hot tools that i use if i need a little bit of detangling to also use this one. This is the tresemme detangling spray and i'll use that just sparingly. So there is a method to my madness when it comes to curling. My hair and i find this works the best like to pin curl and where are my products. Okay here are the products that i use to pin curl. Obviously i separate it off into sections i like to use these little alligator clips to section off the hair. These i got from amazon, they come in a pack of three and i think these work the best when it comes to actually separating your hair. They stay your hair doesn't fall. It makes it super easy to style your hair, so i love those. I also like to use just bobby pins to pin curl. I will curl the hair normally with a straightener or if i'm using this curler, it's the same thing. I will curl it and then i will kind of press the curl pin it and just kind of like let it hang start with the bottom sections and then go to the top added heat. Protectant turn that through kind of straighten the top portion just a little bit the straightener your hand slowly go through the hair. Then you'll have a little curl in this curl i'll spray, a tiny bit of hairspray from far away just make that stay and you'll. Let the curl sit for, like maybe five minutes. Once you run out of bobby pins, you can kind of take out the last curl that you pinned or the first curl that you pin and then use that bobby pin for the next one. So i'll kind of do this same thing throughout my whole, head of hair, a little spray do a little bit of straighten on the top just so it's really sleek and kind of a third of the way down. You start the curl curl it up in that curl pattern, a little bobby pin pin that up hairspray from far away and then let it sit, and i just do that throughout my whole head of hair. This is the nexus comb through finishing this. This has medium hold, so it's not too hairspray, but it gives you enough gold. I don't want to put too much product in my hair, that's like unnecessary, but i do need a little hairspray and i will do that to my entire head. I will use bobby pins to pin it and then once i'm ready, i will take it out and then the curl just kind of like falls. Naturally i don't know what it is. It just looks a lot better when you pin curl it because it has more time to sit in that curl. Obviously, it takes a little bit more time, but i think the end result. It just looks a lot better. Once i get to the top of my head, especially the front sections, i will use these type of clips. I use these when i do my makeup as well. I don't know if i mentioned the beginning, but all the products will be linked down below that. I'M mentioning today, but these i got from amazon - are creaseless hair clips front sections. I will again still pin curl them, but i will pin them all the way up to the base of my head. Typically, i will curl like that away from my face, but once i get to the front two sections, i kind of change up the curling pattern, take it under and i'll flip it this way so that it frames my face more see once the curl comes out. How it's a little bit different? I just feel like this curling pattern just gives you a little bit more of a face frame thing that is different. Also about these front two sections is, i will continue the curl and pin it to my head. Bring it all the way up, pin it like that and i'll do the same. To this section start the curl higher flip it away, but under that's how that kind of comes out really curly right now, but once we comb it out and everything it'll be perfect. I'M going to take those out see how pinning the curls just makes it a little bit more bouncy, which is what we want run your fingers through it softly everything will kind of like blend together, especially when you have longer hair really need face, framing layers that I like to make face framing layers with the curls, so i'll kind of go a little bit higher up in the sections that are closer to my face and then the ones that are away it'll be farther down. So it kind of like goes in an angle, but these are crucial. They don't add creases to your hair, which is amazing, because you don't want like those lines. These don't do any lines you just pin them up, take them down, and then you have a very like voluminous, blowout salon, style hair, which looks amazing. Okay, a few other things that i do. I will use like this rat tail comb to separate it use the end to make the line. So this just gives me that line straight down, sometimes i'll use this. This comb is cool because it has this little section. That'Ll help you kind of like grab the hair, but for the most part i will just use this n and just make a middle part. I, like the middle part on me and then for my edges. I like to use a little edge brush, so this one is from pattern. Beauty has a little brush on the end. It also has a comb use the brush to just kind of give myself a little sweep i'll. Do that all along my edges, i like to use this edge booster style factor. This is just an edge control. It is a huge tube, also from amazon, lasts about maybe like two days depending on what i do. If i'm not like sweating out my hair, not too much, but obviously we want the edges to be a little late. You know i like to just kind of separate it in the middle and kind of direct it with my finger, not an edge control master. So please, if you want a tutorial, i cannot teach this kind of like pushing it in getting those edges laid i like to do about like three swoops there we go so the last product that i like to use to finish off. My hair is oil, so i use this jamaican black, castor oil. This is really good for my natural hair. Sometimes i find when i style my hair, and it's a few days later, my natural hair gets a little bit frizzy and so kind of to prevent that further, give it a little bit more conditioning and strength. In my hair, i like to use oil this just like tames everything down blends. Everything in you can't tell where you know my natural hair and the extensions start or begin. So that is what i really like about the oil just kind of like tames everything blends. It makes it look really seamless. I also like to apply just a little bit of the oil on the extensions just on the ends. Ends are also really protected and then whatever is left, i will just kind of run my fingers like that through my hair and then it's good to go. I don't like to put too much oil because obviously that's going to weigh down your hair. It'S not going to feel as fresh. That'S why i kind of do it at the end. Whatever is left, i will kind of like run my fingers through it for going to sleep, i like to wrap it up. There'S a few products that i like to use. I, like these hair ties, they're really big. So if you have a lot of hair, i like to use these when i had my natural hair and did ponytails. These were the only ones that i used because they're so big. I also have the regular ones, but these ones obviously are a lot smaller. So if you have a lot of hair, you can kind of see the size difference, also like the silk ones, because those don't leave any creases in your hair, and i think it's also really important to use a satin bonnet this one i got from target. I love the green color. I'Ve been obsessed with green. You guys know that satin, hair wrap just further protects your hair. I like to use silk pillow cases. If i can silk mask anything, silk or satin. Just is really going to keep it a lot. Healthier took a while, but have a salon blow out at home, mixing the natural hair with the sew in, and i think it looks really good nice and bouncy. So those are all of the products that i use on my hair on hair wash day when i'm styling. Obviously, when i'm not washing my hair, the styling products come into play a little bit more, but i did want to share kind of like a full routine from washing to styling and to kind of just wearing my hair. How i'm protecting my leave out? How i'm protecting my extensions everything that i use to keep all of the hair, really natural, healthy and looking good for as long as i can so. I hope you guys enjoyed this video make sure to give this video a thumbs up if you liked it subscribe before you leave, and i will see you guys in the next a bad one out there, where you're heading, why ain't gravity pulling your ankles, you

Eiffiesqueen 76: Hey Tanicha!! I’ve had Alopecia all my life so my hair stays cut boy short but I definitely enjoy watching hair videos. This was a good, informative video. Your hair extensions look nice on you and you do a great job caring for it and styling it on your own. You natural hair looks healthy and has nice length.

Jimmie Harris: TGIN in the truth! Seriously my favorite hair care brand for 4c and has been a gateway to me learning to truly care for my hair and learning what it needs as well. I have straight clip ins right now so this video came right on time! Also I HIGHLY recommend using the Tymo styling tool to straighten that leave out, it works miracles for 4c hair and is super affordable . Thank you girl

Fablousangel100: I just told my self I gotta start wearing my natural hair out but you make long hair look so good I might go back soon!

Something New with Tish: You look absolutely gorgeous, great tutorial/ details!! I've never tried the tgin, I'll give it a try. I struggle with dryness!

Dinmsim: Do you also wash your roots with the sew ins and let air dry? Or do you go in with a blow dryer on your roots? I’m thinking about washing my hair myself.

elmin.x: Love this! ❤️ how often do you use heat?

Lauren Otella: Hey Tanicha, loved this video. Could you share what type of bundles you have installed. I live in London so don’t have access to Saddity hair x

Esther Kilabi: what hair did you use? it looks AMAZING

Alexis G: How long do you keep your sew ins for?

Shar: I’m on your Stylist’s site to purchase this hair. Can you tell me the name of this bundle and how many bundles you used please? Much appreciated!
