Hi guys and welcome back to my channel so in today's video we are talking all things, hair extensions, all right, so i decided to break down exactly what i have going on here, because i just did a new install. So, as you guys know, since moving to colorado um, i have been doing my own hair, which has been such a blessing, because now i save money and now i know i can get it done exactly how i want let's just jump right in so first things. First, what hair brand do i have in so i have one bundle of the viva day, curly hair, which i talked about in my raw hair extension video and i have in another bundle of her main hair extensions. I was gon na go back to get another bundle of the viva day curly, but they were out of stock, so i had to quickly find like okay, i need to find some raw hair who has raw hair that can get it to me. By this day. Has good quality hair? I remembered when i was living in virginia. I went to this girl. It used to be called glam hair university. Now she changed her name to her main hair extension. I'M going to put her information up right here, so, as you guys can see um. This is her instagram, and this is how i contacted her. I told her basically what i was looking for. She did not have a curly bundle in stock. She was getting that in stock a week later i needed it sooner, so i ended up getting the 20 inch of the indian wavy hair. So that's the other bundle that i have in my hair. Now you guys probably can't tell um you know me. I can tell there's a little difference, but i'm not complaining about it. I'M not hating it because, honestly, i just put a little bit of crimson in it. I do like the the raw curly hair, because i like for it to have that unique curl. You know that curl, where you could just wash it and go it's so real, and this i feel like is a bit of a faux curl, because it's i use the curling wand um anyway. So but i love the quality of this hair. I think i believe the one bundle was 120 and then i paid 9.99 for the shipping and i received it in three days. So, if you guys are on a crunch time, i highly recommend uh checking her out okay. Now, how did i color? So if you guys can see i'm like not the happiest, because this is okay - i'm just let's just let's just talk about it. Let'S just talk about it. I get so crazy. Let'S just talk about it. Okay, this is what the hair looked like. When i got it out of the pack very dark hair, a lot of the time when you're getting raw, indian hair, it's going to be very dark. So the first thing that i do when i get any bundle is i put a l'oreal high color on there, and i do this because, in my experience, even on my natural hair, the l'oreal high colors, they don't damage my hair as much as straight bleach and They get they get the lift to about a brownish color. Sometimes you can get it lifted to an orange color depending what's your starting point. So that's what i'm doing here, basically putting on this l'oreal high color and i'm doing this so that the base of the hair is lifted, the color of the original hair. It was darker than even my original color hair. By like a, i would say, like a level so putting on this l'oreal high color, so that when i go to bleach, i don't need to bleach it. Maybe like three times so now that that's on you can see that it's kind of brown didn't really get to an orange stage at all, which was to be expected because it was so dark. So now i'm going in washing it out. This is the shampoo that i use and then i use this conditioner. This conditioner got it from amazon love this stuff. I don't know what the bottle says, because it's in like chinese, but i love this stuff. Then i went ahead and bleached the hair. So when i bleach the hair, the way that i do it, i do it in a highlighted form and i thought i was being smart by like taking little chunks out and braiding it up that way. When you unravel the whole thing, you can see the different highlights. If that makes sense toward the end, i realized i should have took smaller chunks, because the highlights were too thick. I get the bleach from sally's. I use a bunch of different bleaches, but this is the bleach that i get from sally's. So i just went ahead and evenly distributed the bleach on the hair strands from root to tip leaving about an inch from the roof, and i also made sure to do like a brush stroke going up so that it's not like a harsh line of demarcation. Okay, so now you see, we have this orange color right and it lifted pretty well, but um. It wasn't bright enough. So one thing i wanted to tell you guys so there's a brown blonde and then there's a brown brassy color. So if you're looking to get more of that orangey hue and having that brown over it, you don't need to lift it to the yellow. If you're looking to get more of that brown ashy blonde color, you need to lift to the yellow, because when the color starts to fade, it's going to reveal that underlying pigment. So if you only lift it to a orange color as soon as that brown starts to fade off, you can be left with that orange if you got it to the yellow. As soon as that brown starts to fade off, you're gon na be left with like a blonde, a darker blonde color. I know that was a mouthful. Hopefully that made sense. Okay, so, as you can see, it didn't lift as much as i wanted it to so boom. We had the bleach again this time i bleached it. It did not get to the color that i wanted, but it was good enough in hindsight, honestly, it was. It was pretty decent. I didn't have to go that much because now it looks very yellow in my hair. My hair is looking a bit brassy and i don't know if it's because i've washed my hair, i haven't, put a color back over it um, but anyway, it's close enough. So i'm gon na rock out with this color after i get it to the desired yellow. Color or yellow orange color that i want i'm going to go ahead and wash it condition it so the braids are still intact. The braids have not moved of the darker strands. While i have no conditioner on it. Let it air dry i'm going to go in now with my 7 in a color, i believe, and that helps to dim it down to be this brown, so i'm putting this color over top of the blonde and i'm gon na. Let that sit and process for about 30 minutes. You can see that it's gotten really dark, which is what i love i decided like. I want to stick in the brown family. I don't think i want to go blonde for now, maybe in the future. I will, but i'm pretty good with this, so i went ahead and washed it out conditioned it. Then let it air dry now what i'm going to go ahead and do i'm going to braid up the blonde piece, because we got that out of the way. Now i want to focus on the dark pieces. Okay, so the dark hair you can see is more of a reddish brown. My hair is not a reddish brown, it's darker and it's more of a cooler brown, so i went ahead and put five in. I got that in the pravana color. That'S the color, the lady used for my natural hair. So that's how i remember these colors um, so i went ahead and put that color over top of that brown to get it dark, just like my natural hair, so i'm going in now and brushing this all over the hair saturating the hair boom got that done Now i'm going to wash it out and condition the hair and then again let it air dry. So now we have achieved this color that we have here and again. Some of this hair is my old hair that i had already previously dyed. So i was basically trying to get that color with the new bundle moving on so now i have my bundles now i went ahead and braided up my hair, so i did not record how i braided my hair, but i do have a how i sew in My hair extension video - i will be sure, to leave that down below. So in that video i showed how i braided my hair. The one thing that was different was instead of doing one braid. Here i did two left out hair and then in the back, if you guys see the last video, i kind of did two rows right here, and so i just really did one and just connected connected them. Because, honestly, i didn't like having that big hump and everything else is pretty much the same. These pieces are going to be left out and then what's cornrowed down is going to be sewn in okay, and now i'm going to go in and sew the hair. In again, this is not an in-depth video of how i sew it in, but i do have an in-depth video of how i did that. Oh and i love how it turned out. You guys know that i do go in and i put in one microlink. This is a microlink weft, and without that you can really see how this is my natural hair, and then this is the extensions. So this piece really just kind of helps to blend it and the reason that i i could have just braided it up like cornrowed. It like i did the other pieces, but honestly i decided not to because i like having the freedom to take that out. If i want to do like a up part or if i want to do a cornrow, i like having the freedom, so i prefer to put a micro link there and also, in my opinion, it lays flatter to get this style. I basically braided it up like. I just put it in plaits and then i went ahead and um crimped the front of this, which i don't know how i feel about it, but i kind of like the wild hair. Look if you guys like it. Let me know what you think down below. That'S going to be the end of this video um. I hope it was helpful as always, if you guys have any questions, you're free to leave them down below and i will be sure to answer them - and i will see you guys in my next video bye. You
