This is actually a big issue, a lot of people in the dreadlock community face, but they don't talk about print like. I think i told you that before, like i'll bend them in oh okay, yeah yeah, what method did you use to start? Your lobster straw, two strand twists like one and then sitting down and then the ones that were eating on the individual and just started twisting those getting those locked today we're going to be discussing about how to fix a thin dreadlocks or a fixing and thinning out Problem - and this is timbre - i have known her for about a year now. She does a really good job amazing job located in mesa really close to phoenix. So if you guys want to reach out to her, her ass should be in the descriptions, and you will be satisfied with the result that you get right now, she's going through a retwisting process. Retwisting is basically where you grab the part. That is a new growth and also the older growth that is already connected and kind of like matching them by twisting them. This helps your scalp get some clarity and you'll be able to locate basically your scalp with this method. A lot of people can't look at this scalp because they don't retouch their hair as much when you locate your scalp, you can apply moisturization oil and things that can help benefit your lot. This is not what we were talking about today. Today we were talking about her fixing, of course, a skinny dreadlocks, but i just wanted to let you guys know what uh, what she's doing the whole entire process and that's helping this gentleman right here, thinking out his locks because he has some dreadlocks, that's in and Out, if you notice in the beginning she kind of tugged on it to see if it was worth saving some, you know if it's standing on one hair grab that hair and connect it to the next draw lock right next to it, to kind of like give It a new support system right here. She added an extra. I recently did a kinky hair review from this company that sent me, and i was able to find out that this hair actually matches my hair, and i was like what like this is amazing print. Like i think, i told you that before like i'll bend them in oh okay, yeah, yeah, yeah and basically once you grab a clump of hair with the from the kinky hair that you get extra hair, you apply it to the thinnest part of the dreadlock and Then work it to your normal drawer, lock so that it can hold it from you know, going out, you have to crochet needle you can't just twist it because if you just twist it it will end up coming out later on. So you guys want to really firmly crochet needle it. If you don't have crochet needles, easy to get one of my best buddies has a website called greatlocks.com. That'S where i got mine from with this method that she is doing right here. What she is uh helping out with is strengthening the locks from this forward. Basically, it will have the skinny part will have a supporting system that will help it last longer and also later on able to attract other hairs from a different dry log to connect to it, because that's the goal that you have adding external hair is not really Your hair, but it's for the help of a strengthening and also future growth, and this method that she's using right here is really hitting, is really working at first. I didn't know what she was doing. I don't know why she was twirling it at first. I was just doing regular palm rolls because i get excited when i learn new things. That'S right, but when she explained to me the difference between palm roll and that twirling method that she's doing right here, it made sense why she would do it, because it's really easy technique and also you're able to accomplish your retwist way faster, especially if you're doing It on somebody's hair as a loctition or as a friend family is faster and easier. She starts with the comb by combing the roots out so that she actually gets the section in in one part, and then she applies a little bit of the gel and with that gel that she applies, she basically works throughout the rest of the dreadlock. The thing with adding external hair is that i mentioned earlier: you can just twist the hair on top of it and call it a day. You have to be sure that you are adding the right amount of hair and also crochet needle in it, meaning that the hair is interlined with the with the old hair that you have or with your dreadlocks. I recently have added an external additional hair to my hair, also because of some hair that fell out. If you guys want to check that video out go to activers, it should be dropping tomorrow. But i've asked her also for my undergrowth if i can add an extension to my hair and she had mentioned that. It would be best to wait because at two months of undercut growth i would be losing a lot of hair trying to connect the hair or the extension. So she had told me to wait a little longer so that later on i'll i'll i'll be able to have something i can work with, especially since it's just starting my you know, growth and undercut. But if you guys want to follow me on that journey, where you see my undercut growing journey and everything like that, that will all be an activist on my personal channel. This channel was meant for uh education, inspiration and building a community. Ib Okeshola: I've had locs for over 10 years and one thing I know for sure is you don't comb out a loc. By doing that you're combing out the newly formed locs which u can and cannot see. Also you don't twist thinning locs which I have experienced. By twisting it especially tight like she is it gets thinner and will eventually pop! It's obvious she had super thinning lovs herself and the gel especially with the amount used encourages a lot of buildup. Just sit on your locs and let them grow out and tuck or wrap the loose or flying hair to the loc next to it.

Journey: Came from the channel that BANGS! My locs are a great size for me. Not too thin, not too thick. I have a problem with thin strands in the front of my head resulting in one loc getting too thin. The biggest problem I face is dryness and flaking. Maybe diet, stress, or lack of moisturizer.. help

Oyin Adeniyi: Her method is called *locsmything.* That's how Ancient Egyptians maintained locs. Some people spell it as locksmith but the actual spelling is with a y not an i. The word was coined by Ona Osiriso Maat in 1989. It's been around for a while. Many stylist just dont know about it and werrn't taught. Those that use the method say It's better than palmrolling which looks to be true.

Angela Buie: Are u in the Houston tax area

Alissa: But when you attach hair that isn't connected to your head to a really thin loc, you're putting more weight on the small amount of hair that's holding that loc to the scalp. I know it may seem like it's fixing it. But what is really happening is , more weight is being put on those 10 or 20 hairs and eventually it'll pull those other strands out because it's too much for that thin loc to handle.

Angela Buie: I she in Houston
