Hey guys welcome back to my channel. If you read the title, then you know that in this video i'm going to be putting on a hair, topper and um, i'm really excited about this video because i feel like it's going to help out a lot of women. If you are somebody like me, um i caught covid last year at the end of last year september and subsequently, maybe a month and a half or two months later, i started to experience just a ton of excessive hair shedding and it went on for about two Months or two and a half months, something like that, it just ended like three weeks ago and um, and it's very alarming when something like that happens, it can be extremely alarming, so um so anyway, when when that was happening, i actually ran to my email account Because i had remembered um receiving an email from a company - maybe two or three years prior asking. If i wanted to do a video on hair, toppers or wigs and at the time i wasn't interested but then fast forward to now after having experienced so much. You know excessive hair shedding. I thought what a perfect time to make a video like this, so i reached out to them and just basically said you know if you're still interested, i would be happy to make a video you know about these hair toppers. So it's a company called uni wig. Now i do want to say that this is not a sponsored video, i'm not getting paid to create this video, i'm not getting any type of commissions or anything like that. I just thought this would be a perfect opportunity to show you this topper. This was sent to me for free of charge, so you know i guess that could be considered a payment, but other than that you know, like i said, i'm not getting paid so anyway. This is the company they're called uni, wigs and um. I don't want to keep you guys waiting, because i know that you just want to see what it looks like on. You guys are going to die when you see this, so let's go ahead and jump in. So this is the box that the little hair topper came in and it also comes with some instructions and stuff. Should you want to exchange it or you know just how to care for it and stuff like that? So this is what it looks like now. I do want to mention that whenever i requested this, my hair was really really blonde, and since then i have put in low lights just to try to make it look a little bit. Thicker give it some dimension and stuff because it was looking so sheer and i've been trimming and trimming also um. So this is not going to match totally perfectly. I do plan on um just putting like a like a dark like a light ash blonde or medium ash blonde toner on it, because i do need to tone it down a little bit so that it matches a little bit better with my hair color. Now, however, it still looks phenomenal. You guys are just going to die, so the hair is so soft. You can wash it. You can color it. You can um hot iron, it you can blow dry it. You can do all those things as long as you get. The human hair one right, and so it does. This is what it looks like underneath it comes with the little clips. It'S just like um clip in hair extensions. You know it's those types of clips, for whatever reason i don't know how they make them, but they do not get like caught up in your hair. Even there are times where i have a little bit more of a difficult time getting it out, but it never ever pulls out a piece of my hair, like i just have to kind of go like i'll. Show you i'll show you whenever i take it out. Um, so it does have this little netting right here or lace, or something like that. That is, if you want to wear it all the way up to the front and have it look like this is your natural hair. However, that's not how i do it. I put mine a little bit further back and then have my natural hair up front and i'm going to show you how i do that now. The video that i watched um of another girl putting this on, she actually just cut that right off because she's. Like me, and she wears it a little bit further back, i'm not going to do that just yet. I don't want to cut it off just yet. I just kind of want to i'm just going to tuck it under um, and so it does. You know i should probably just go ahead and cut it off, but for now i'm just going to tuck it under now. I do want to say the only thing that i have changed about this topper is i repositioned the part it comes in a middle part and um. I felt like the middle part, although it looked really natural because it was a little bit wider. You know, and you could see through the lace, so it looked like a really natural part um. I don't part my hair in the middle, and so i they did send me a video. You know if i wanted to reposition the part which i did so just like any time you reposition a part. You have to kind of train it to lay a certain way so um i i actually laid it and laid it out to dry and then put something really heavy on it to try to flatten it out, because you know it kind of wants to bump up A little bit i'll show you in a second um, but also once you reposition the part. The part is less like see through to the scalp like a normal part, would be now. They do have ways to remedy that like if you want a more natural looking part you can put like some concealer on it or you can actually pluck the hairs to make it look a little bit wider so that it looks a little bit more natural. I did not want to go to those links, yet i'm definitely not going to pluck. If anything, i might do a little bit of concealer. However, i really don't think it's necessary, because i think it still looks really really natural okay, so this is how you do it. The first thing you do. Is you open up all the clips like this and i'm going to position mine a little bit further back, like i said, i'm just going to fold that little netting under now. You want to line it up with your part. I feel like that is a really good line, and then you just kind of want to take the little combs and scoop under like this and then just push on either side and snap them on that one snaps on easy, for whatever reason i feel like my Head is shaped a little bit different on this side. There it goes okay, so now i've got the front in and now i'm just going to do the back. So i take my thumbs and i just scoop up under there under the top again just take the combs and scoop and then snap okay. So this is me having just literally like plopped it on my head and already i feel like it just looks so much thicker. Now you can tell just a little bit that there is a hair, color difference, but y'all check this out. What like this looks so real, oh my gosh, this looks so real and so natural. This actually looks like my hair in the video that i made right before my hair started just falling out and it was just getting long. It wasn't quite this thick. I don't think, but it was definitely this length now wait until you see the back you're going to die. I cannot believe how natural this looks from the back now. I think you're probably going to be able to see like where the hair topper ends or actually, where my hair underneath ends and where the hair topper. I don't know what you guys can see right here, but i could see it earlier in the mirror um. Now you can trim these to be the same length as your hair, but i don't want to do that because i plan on just letting my hair continue to grow and i'm still going to want to use these or to wear these. But um. Look at that. Look at that, like i can't even tell right now like i know that this is my real hair, and this is the the topper, but you really can't tell oh my gosh. This is so awesome now i want you guys to see this, i'm just going to swing my hair around i'm going to look silly doing it, but i just wanted you to see how it just stays put watch so like it can literally like blow in the Wind and everything, and it's not going to be effective whatsoever. I didn't even feel that, like i didn't even feel it tugging at the top at all. I do want to say, however, when i first put this on, i did try to test it out by just flipping my head over and then coming back up several times and um. I could feel it kind of tugging a little bit when i did that. But when am i ever going to do that, i'm a 48 year old woman, i'm not going to be like flipping my head up and down over and over. But you know if you are worried about wearing this in the wind, or something like that, you saw me just whip it around like that, this, it's not it's not coming off. I didn't even feel it like tugging on the top, like i said, if i felt tugging and stuff, i would not ever wear this. I'M not gon na ever put my natural hair. You know in any sort of you know, i'm not gon na compromise. My natural hair is what i'm trying to say, um, so y'all this looks so natural. I cannot. This has got to be the coolest thing that i've ever shown on my channel. This is just unreal to me. It'S unreal. How natural this looks. I thought at first. I thought no, this is going to look like i'm wearing a wig. I think people would come up and compliment my hair now. The only thing like i said is that you know, because i have that that um netting or what is it called lace, because i have it under it's just kind of bulging, just a little bit right there, but it's so secure. It feels so natural, and i did want to say like here: i've got a brush right here. You can brush it, you can hot iron, it you can um. What do you call it? You can blow dry it while you have it on. Look at that. It just feels so natural, it looks so natural and you know especially right now, we're in a day and age where, if there's a problem, there's something out there that you can buy to fix it now right - and i feel like this is just perfect, especially because I feel like hair extensions and wigs and toppers and stuff like that. I feel like they're becoming so mainstream like when you see somebody with beautiful hair in your mind, you're automatically going. I wonder if those are hair extensions or if that's her, you know natural hair but um. I just feel like this is just a perfect remedy for anybody who has hair that's thinning, whether it's temporary, whether it's permanent as long as you still have some hair. On top - and you have you know some hair to clip this onto - you - can wear one of these hair toppers. The reason that i was having trouble with just regular clip in hair extensions is because i had to put them underneath my hair and my hair is just naturally kind of fine, so anytime the wind would blow or something like that. I would be afraid that it was going to blow my natural hair and then you would be able to see it underneath. This is just look at this i mean, even when i move it around like that. Even when i go like this, can you tell i don't know i haven't done this in the mirror. Yet so i don't even know, but i just everything about it, looks so natural. I don't think that anybody would think it was fake and although i don't feel like it's a perfect match, i still think that it looks really good. What i really want to do is get a brown one. I would love to experiment with some brown hair just to see what it looks like. I would never color my hair brown, i think i'll be blonde until the day i die. So this is the depressing part, because at some point in the day you have to take it off and i'm going to take it off for you, so you can see how easy it is to take off all you do. Is you take your thumbs and you get up under those clips and then you just push in the middle undone, and then you do it in the back too. Just like that and then watch how easy it just comes out now, whenever i take it, i go like this and i just kind of push my hair down. Look at that. It'S already out of that one. It'S already out of the back one um. For some reason, i always have a little bit look at that, not a single hair, not a single hair, came out of my head and you know you can tell when you've accidentally plucked a hair out of your head, because you know a barrette was caught up In it, or whatever, not a single hair, just now came out of my like, i said if it did, if it compromised my hair in any way, i would not put these on. I would not suggest them to you. I would be like you know, just be careful, you might lose a hair here or there you know i i still have quite a bit of hair like i'm, not it's not sheer on top or anything like that, it's definitely thinned out. But it's not like sheer on top, so you know i guess i did watch a video though, where a woman was very sheer on top and she put it on just looks so good. So that is all i have for you today. I hope you guys enjoyed this video. I know i enjoyed making it. This was such a fun video to make, and i'm so glad that that it looked so natural i feel like this is just going to help out a lot of women, because i know a lot of women are going through this right now, especially, you know on The heels of covid so anyway, thank you so much for watching um. I had Covid pneumonia over both Christmas and New Years and the shedding is downright scary! I’m literally afraid to take a shower because when I put conditioner in my hair it’s feels like half my hair comes out on my hands! Thankfully I started with thick hair, and I know that this will end…hopefully sooner than later…but thanks for bringing this to light, along with options, so we don’t feel alone in this! A year later, I have (slow) regrowth and am now struggling with lots of short wispy strands that look like breakage . My hair is naturally super fine and fragile and I am paranoid about clipping in anything damaging. Thank you for addressing this aspect of this topper. I may give this a try.

I've had to go to human hair to get the most realistic look for hours of wearing without the tangle factor. Synthetic is beautiful but it does tend to get tangled especially in the back.

luvharmonies: When a person experiences a physical or even emotional trauma (in your case, covid), the hair will start to shed. It's called telogen effluvium. It can occur with chronic diseases and even during or after pregnancy because the body is put under stress. Telogen effluvium continues for about 3 months, after which new hairs begin to sprout.

Pebbles and Friends: Jennifer!! Thank you so much! I’ve been looking at these for a while and wasn’t sure about the quality. I’ve been wearing toppers for the past 10 years. I payed at least $2,000 a piece for them and what a rip off!! They are horrible! It’s not that they don’t look nice, but they mat and are so dry you can’t run your fingers through them. I’ve had them taken back and what I was told a special treatment to make them silky again, but it did nothing. So I have to deal with them and it’s been a pain. They are considered high quality human hair. I must say however, over 10 years ago when I purchased my first, I believe I payed around $300. It lasted forever and I never had the texture problems I do with these so called premium pieces these days. Anyway, I’m going to try a similar one that you purchased and pray that it’s better than what I’ve dealt with. I’m happy to pay $1,000 for it since I’m sure if I ordered another through the hair places I’ve been to will charge me $3,000. It really upsets me that these wig stores take advantage of their customers by marking up substandard hair pieces. Enjoy your beautiful hair! Looks gorgeous and helps cut the worry on the shedding you’ve had. I truly believe that many of us women that experience that kind of shedding, will always be susceptible to it. I’ve had shedding at different times in my life and at first I know it was hormonal and was convinced otherwise. It happened a couple other times and my hair just never bounced all the way back. I’m left with very fine and fly away hair. The toppers have saved me all this time and most all my friends don’t even know. Enjoy your beautiful hair!!❤️❤️

ash: I just got a hair topper, it's 16" but I should have gotten an 18" hair topper. My long bio hair sticks out of the bottom and doesn't look natural. Is there anyway I can thin the bottom of the hair topper or cut layers into it to make it blend with my hair?
