♥♥♥  This was done is a salon by myself. I am a licensed and educated hair stylist who understand the products I use and the application and techniques. I share these videos for other stylist to educated themselves on new/different techniques. I don't EVER recommend anyone who isn't licensed to do hair, or to try this at home. If you are not a hair stylist then you should get one to do your color otherwise you could end up with serious damage and sad hair! We go to school for a reason...so we can perform works of art like this one!

Love you XOXO, Alexsis♥♥♥

Oh, my gosh guys today's transformation is gon na, be absolutely incredible. This is Ashley. She has a normal kind of brownish blond color and we are taking her to wait for it. Oh my gosh, like this, draw dropping incredible purple: pink blue green hair color. So, let's get onto the transformation so to lighten her hair. I used blonde me Lightner and 30 volume and of course I used olaplex um here I show you my measurement of my olaplex. I used quite a bit of Lightner on her hair and I just mix that into my formula to save her hair and let me tell you it has helped so much so I'm doing a Platinum Card where every single strand of hair is in a foil. You guys can see, I have a thousand foils in her head. Every single hair is in a foil, it is not left out and I actually stayed about an inch away from the root because I wanted to have a darker root color, so you guys can see I've already rinsed the back. I had to rinse it in sections because some of it processed first and you guys could see this is before toning or anything so her hair lifted really really well. It was spawned, it really really well, and we only had to do this to her hair. One time one bleach process and it felt amazing she went home, used really good conditioner she's olaplex number three at home and she took very good care of it, and that makes a huge difference in letting your hair go from a normal color to one of these Vibrant colors, so you guys can see this is her hair. She came back two weeks later. I had her stay home, put conditioners on. It came back two weeks later and now we're going to start the color process and the fun part of this entire tutorial. So I sectioned her hair from kind of a lower parietal Ridge, all the way around in a horseshoe and I sectioned the bottom from the top and the top. I did a pinwheel section so for the colors that I used, I used quite a few different colors. You guys can see a pink a blue. I did a little bit of a darker root color and this is like a silver and a black mix together for like a super dusty purple, dark and then a really beautiful, bright purple and then an absolutely incredible tea. Lush color now I'll have all the formulas listed down below. If you guys want to see exactly what I use in each formula to get the color - and I always love to do swatches on a napkin, because it will show you exactly what the color is going to come out on with a very nice bright canvas by The way I'm using my from our balayage, this is for balayage with saran wrap. This tool is absolutely incredible and you need it in your life. If you do these colors, so starting in this bottom section, you guys can see, I just have kind of the top clipped off and out of the way, I'm going to section the front from the back and then break up that back section into another, separate section That way, I have four equal sections and it helps me to really keep control of my areas. So what I'm doing is I'm just applying that black and silver to her roots, because I want to have a really awesome shadow root I'm pulling to set out about two inches now. In hindsight I wish I would have gone a tiny, tiny, tiny bit darker added a little bit more black in, but you never know you know I next time I can add a little bit darker if we want to go darker, but I think at the end It was perfect, so I played this all over to her root and then what I'm going to do from there is I'm going to work from the bottom of my section towards the top. So I'm going to pull out a good sized sliver. You want to be able to see through it. You don't want it to be too thick, because it's really important to mush your color through and make sure everything is really saturated. So, starting from the top I'm going to apply my first color now, i'm starting with blue, it totally is up to you, your artistic creation. You guys don't have to use these colors. This is just the colors that we decided that we wanted and i'm going to apply this, and the most important thing with doing this is that you want to really saturate this and work it through really well, so, at that root area, all the way through the Strand everything needs to be mushed in really well, so that you don't have any blonde spots that peak through. So then, i'm going to add in my second color, because I am doing a melt of color, so I'm doing a smoky root into a bright color into another bright color. I want it to be a very dimensional, so I'm doing a blue into this. Really I'm a purple color here you guys can see in the middle I'm just going to push that all together, so that just blends beautifully and creates this amazing colored ombre effect. Now every strand that I do is going to be a different again. This is a completely artistic creation, so, however, you feel like you want to go put the colors in every one, it's going to turn out differently, and that is what is so much fun. I also keep a towel handy because you constantly need to wipe off your hands after every single section, so keep a few towels around you because it will get messy otherwise, and then you have a really awesome tie-dye galaxy towel at the end. So, as I said, I'm just going to be working my way up, taking section by section I like to brush them out. So if there's no tangles and then apply my color, so this color I'm actually taking the purple and then I am rubbing it down and I think I'm going to take it into the pink. So again, I'm just going to really saturate and make sure that I really push this into the hair. Make sure that every single strand is completely coated. You don't have to overdo it with saturation. You just really want to make sure that you work that color into the hair, that's going to help to get it into the cuticle as well as just make sure that everything is blended beautifully, and I am just laying my sections down kind of next to each Other so that they're not going to be mushed together, but they're, just kind of laying a little bit on top of each other. I have never had any problem with my colors bleeding or anything like that. So just kind of. However, you feel like you need to work on your colors as best. If you guys want to use saran wrap for every section you totally can it is absolutely up to you so again, I'm just going to go in and add some colors and do artistic placement and see how I want to put it in, for the whole entire Bottom part, I finished the bottom section. I just placed a saran wrap around the whole entire thing, and now I'm going to start on the pinwheel on the top. The reason why I did the pinwheel is because it just lays colors out really gorgeously, so I don't have any weird lines and the colors just lay instead of horizontally, they lay vertically. So you can really see the difference in color. So I just love this application. For the top and how it turned out is so much fun, so I'm just adding in that shadow root at first and then I am taking my colors and I'm kind of visually, placing them where I want them. So, where I see the pink, I am laying that down and then I'll add a blue and then a green so that I'm not adding a whole bunch of pink next to each other or a whole bunch of blue next to each other. So everything is completely visual, where I see the color placement of to what I want to see it dry and you just kind of eyeball it so first putting in my shadow again and then adding in my color. I think this one I am doing entirely pink. Every one is different, like I said so, I'm also doing you know my one color into the next color my purple, into the blue, pink into the purple and just kind of playing with it and having fun. So when I am done, you guys can see, I use a few foils in the front just to kind of help me keep those those top pieces separate, but everything is just laying and separated by saran wrap, which is great because I can put her into the Dryer for 20 minutes and then rinse with extremely cool water, follow with conditioner, and then we have this absolutely amazing style. I am so happy guys. I am posting this today on the 3rd and I just finished her hair. I was like yep, I'm gon na have to go edit to this tutorial and get it up for today, because it is so gorgeous and I can't help but want to post it, because I am so in love, I'm just going to be staring at it and Ashley is so happy with her mermaid hair. We had so much fun doing this color and I have a few other tutorials with similar, really fun vibrant mermaid colors. I would love for you guys to check out alright I'll, see you guys in my next video bye,

Bonafidevixen10032: Omg. Just.perfection!! That teal green colour is my fave! I love how you pay attention to how it's going to look dry. I've had some shocking dye jobs where the stylist is just soooo lacking in technique. So fun to watch! :) xx

Jessica Kraemer: I fell in love with this when I first seen it. Got everything to do my hair like this. One thing I would like to have seen is how you did the pinwheel at the top. Also, would have liked to see the front how it came out not just the back. Was the shadow root done throughout the top as well or was some colored to the root??? But amazing job and hope my hair comes out similar to this.

Cris Peterson: Quite possibly the BEST video on multi-color your hair. I've watched other videos, and the majority of them are all talk, except the 15 second fast forward demonstration of the color process. Excellent! You can't go wrong with Alexsis.

marissa m: This is honestly amazing, you are so talented !! I'm in love with your videos every time I think about giving up on hair I just watch your videos and I am immediately inspired again !!

Asomba jooar: her hair looks so gorgeous and healthy . you did an amazing job !

buckWildStar: These are the colours I want in my hair! So gorgeous!!! Okay, maybe after a year of using Monat I'm going to have to come down to SoCal and get my hair done by you because WOW!!! Ugggghhh I could never do it this well at home!

Sarah Carlstedt: That turned out so beautiful!! Good job! I just found your channel and I have to say...amazing work! You are definitely inspiring me :)

Cora Priest: I'm looking to do this at home. Never done anything like this to myself. It's actually kind of a bucket list thing I want to do. I want to bleach my whole head and dye it dark purple and magenta. Watching this actually helped and I have a better idea on what I want to do. I subscribed. Thank you!

Jamie Roberts: Thank you so much for explaining what placement pattern you are doing here! (Not many tutorials cover it or even follow one!) Question; do you do the pinwheel shape throughout the head? Or did you do square sections for the bottom half? I've seen both types on diagrams, but I'm not sure. TIA! I'm hoping I can pull this look off on myself, by myself!

Rachael Dyson: I’m so late to the party but I’m doing this by myself at my house and this helped so much! Thank you!

adriane palmer: I love it! I love how we use the same products like the olaplex and joico colors when we do hair!! ❤

Felicity Brooke: That turned out absolutely beautiful! Im not one to do these colors to my hair just because I don't think I can pull it off but I love watching these videos! They are so much fun to watch! :)

Lilac Somnia: Wow, absolutely beautiful! I wish my hair looked that good!

Nathalie Markstein: Her hair looks absolutely gorgeous

Laura S: Alexsis...So gorgeous.....it looks like a very thought out and time consuming process, but the end RESULT is sooo worth it. That is Amazing! So Beautifully Done! What a gifted artist you are !! Laura xo

Sun Soul: OH! EM! GEE!! How freaking AWESOME is this?? Seriously Lex... you are Uh-Mazing! Incredible stylist, and gifted teacher. And just an all round beautiful Being. Hope you are feeling good and doing great! Loved this video. Her hair is fairylicious! Well done! This had to be SO much fun to do!

Justice8911: this was by far the best most detailed tutorial on how to do multi colored hair! great job!

Regal Rodents: I have been doing this color palette in a variety of styles but I have never done the pinwheel section on anyone or on myself so guess what I'm doing right now my version of the pinwheel section it will be a bit larger and less intricate than yours but I am pre-lightened and I trust the colors I'm working with so I can't wait thank you for the tips your work is beautiful!!!

Chantelle Adlington: For the past year and a half I've been wanting to colour my hair, but I was always hesistant because I didn't want it to ruin my hair and I didn't want people to be judging me or staring at me all of the time. Since then I've gained more confidence recently and I want to stand out. I want to make a change to how I look and I want people to be amazed by my hair when I walk past them. Next week I'm getting mermaid hair similar to this and I'm so excited

Aleria Lebron: this is so magical I've always wanted a hair color like this

Wilde: If only I was 25 or 30 years younger LOL..that looks absolutely stunning and I'm so glad she loved it too .xx Having said that in the UK we have the great designer Zandra Rhodes and the artist /journalist Molly Parkin and those ladies sport the best electric pink hair in their 80's and look brill !! x

FessaBarbie: OMG this is gorgeous! I want this hair!

Anna F: amazing work

Bjorn la Tulippe: hi i have a question.. i was soo inspired by this color and technique. ive worked with similar colors of the brand colorworx but it didnt come out this way. when i was blowdrying it didnt look like it was a perfectly melted as how it looks in wet (dyed) hair. is this normal? is it suppose to be a little bit stainy? and it didnt look well placed. it was like i blowdried 3 different strands with all different colormelts it looked like all sorts of tiny color bricks.. i have no idea how to explain (my picture is on my fb account hairbybjorn if you could please take a look) it doesnt show on the picture its just like.. is it just suppose to be perfect in curly hair? did i melt it wrong? did i take too small sections? sometimes i would melt purple into pink into blue. what made it seem like the blue was just one big stain. and the pink looked washed out. should i always put the pink in the ends? so many questions haha sorry it was my first try and im such a perfectionist i cant deal lol

Joelle loevendie: Omg!! You are so amazing! I wanna dye my hair but i don't really know what colour i want to so i search around the internet and i found this and i am in love with this omg!!!

Nicole Cupps: I would love to know how long this took you. I'm currently working on a friends hair, she wants blonde, redish orange, brown, and dark blonde. And I feel like it's taking entirely to long lol. Half way done after weaving and lighting 3/4 of her hair

Lisanation 'n KimTaeChuu: that's amazing girl!

Elena Jarvis: Beautiful!

Michele Conley Eckert: I watched your video then watched Artic foxes video. Yours was 1,000,000.000 times prettier! I used the same steps that you do. I'm doing a mermaid as I type. TY for all your great info, you are so positive and bubbly! :D

Jenn C: the way you section hair is so neat! its oddly satisfying lol.

mawee04: This is so much fun to watch!

Michaella C: this is gorgeous! about how long does something like this last? and when it does fade, would it fade back to the blond?

Michelle Colombo: This is my 12th time watching this video. Been preparing my daughter's hair. Today is dye day!!!

kms19: OMG!!!! So beautiful!!!

Taylor Allen: Is there any chance you can give us some ideas to get this look at home using like manic panic, arctic fox and or good dye young?

RedSpiralHand: Wow. Growing out my natural silver so I can put some mermaid streaks in it!

Dazzle Dunn - Deal: I would love to see how this looks without the curls in!

Mintyoreos: Killer job! My favorite products for bleaching too. I really regret trying a different bleach LOL. I am using blue flash and it doesn't lift my hair with 30vol so I have to use 40. My hair still survives though as long as I use olaplex. I wish I could foil my hair like that. So hard to do that by yourself. Why can't you live near me and do my hair. LOL.. Wait. You live around the area I wanna move to. 0:

ItsAmyZing: BEAUTIFUL!!!

Natasha Scott: Which olaplex do you add into the dye?
