Hey everyone welcome back to my channel hope, you're doing well. Today, i'm going to be showing you how i achieved this half up, half down braids in the front curls in the back type of hairstyle. I'Ve seen this hairstyle floating around and i thought you know what i really want to give this a go um. This was my first time trying to do something like this, so it was definitely trial and error um. For that reason, this video is going to be a voice over because it was just a lot of give and take. So if you want to see how i achieved this look, then please just keep on watching. So this is how i'm starting off i've just taken. My hair out of some twists, i did also go ahead and blow dry, my hair out and then i'm going to section it off so that i've got the front section of my hair, which will be the braids. So i've taken the part in just sort of to the middle of my ear slightly behind my ear, and this will be where my braids will stop. Then, at the back of my hair, i'm going to do some cornrows so that i can do my sewing. I thought that i was doing these cornrows small, but they're, actually quite big, so feel free to make them smaller than these. If you want to so that it lays a little bit more flat. I don't know what i thought i was doing, but this is how it turned out: it's quite bulky, but it's okay. It will still work, so the hair that i'm going to be using is from you, nice hair. This is their peruvian, jerry, curly hair in the length 22, 24 and 26 inches. This is what it looks like absolutely stunning texture. I love this so much so i'm just going to start off with the 26 inch bundle. First, i am doing this double wefted that allows me to get in more tracks within a smaller section, and it also does allow me to go through the bundles much quicker. I did try to do like a sort of u-shape when sewing at the back of my head, but the thing is you can't really see the back of your head very well. So my you wasn't really looking like a you. It was kind of looking more like a straight line, but that's okay, because either way i will show you guys a trick that will um allow you to cover up your tracks without having any leave out left at the top. I only ended up using two bundles and then literally one little track from the third bundle. So you definitely do get a lot of hair within the bundles from unice um. So just take that in mind, depending on how full you want the back of your hair to look then obviously add or remove bundles as you please you guys by this point. My arms were absolutely killing me. I would just say that so be prepared if you're gon na do this on yourself. So for the last track, i actually sewed it upside down, so i sewed it facing the front of my head and that way, once you flip it back over the curls sort of cover up the tracks, and it allows you to wear this style without having any Leave out to cover up the top of your tracks so moving on to the front, this actually took me a long time to do, because, obviously this is the bit that you see first the front of your hair. So i wanted to make sure that my section ends were spot on um, so i'm actually going for like a diagonal section in um, so some of my cornrows will be going to one direction and then the other cornrows will go um. Diagonally to that. So i ended up with three on one side and then four sections on the other side. So i'm just going to take some edge control some edge wax. I ended up using a mixture of different edge controls. I used um murray's edge, wax and edge booster simply because it was one of them, wasn't giving me what i needed it to give like. I needed to sort of mix them up to get the hold that i wanted um and then i went in and did my cornrows. I attempted to do some stitch braids on myself, i'm not the best at this. I just tried to go just just try and just make some shake basically and then, when it got to the end of my cornrow. That'S when i then added in some expressions just to give my braids the length that it needs to match the rest of the hair at the back. Okay, you see it's coming together. Okay, don't play with me. This was absolutely a struggle. You can see that my arms were killing me. I was literally like just having to breathe through it at this point, but thankfully this was the last one um and i could see the vision so yeah. I was really happy at this point and honestly this is my first time doing: um like braids cornrows um, with expressions on myself, so i'm quite proud of how it turned out then for the ends, i'm just going to put them around a flexi rod just so That i can get a little curl to the ends. Just to you know, give it that nice little finishing touch, and then i did dip these flexi rods in hot water to set the curl and then last but not least, going in with a little bit of mousse just to define the curls just to get them To pop you know, during the process you can sort of make your hair a bit frizzy as you're like combing, through it, etc. So um, just a little bit of mousse goes a long way just pop these curls get them looking right, and this is how my hair ended up. Looking, let me know what you guys think in the comment section down below this was my first time. So please go easy on me, but if you do like this, give me a thumbs up subscribe to my channel and make sure you hit the notification bell, and i will see you guys on my next video bye.
