Hello, you guys and welcome back to dynamic touch, so today we're going to be talking about something, that's a little bit outside the box. Some of you guys might think this is shocking. Some of you guys might disagree with what i'm saying, but i think if you are observing what's going on around us, i think you might be more on leaning towards agreeing with what i'm saying, but before we get into this video, just you guys please like comment And subscribe, thank you guys so much for supporting our channel if you're interested in heat, training or learning about hair growth visit us at the waiting room, nhb we're there and everyone's there waiting for you guys, and we can't wait to work with you all. So you guys can see from the title i have seen that there is a wig and weave or hair extension shortage on the way. First, it was food and it still is. Food. Next was the baby formula. Now it's tampons. Next, it's going to be hair extensions. Wigs and weaves, this is due to the fact that we are still having major supply chain issues. These supply chain issues are affecting everyone around the world, no matter where you're from what country you're from we're all being affected by the supply chain issues. There are people who study the economy or who keep in touch with. What'S going on with the news saying that the federal reserve in the united states may have to force a stock market crash in order to curb the inflation, inflation is going up ridiculous amounts. This is going to result in further supply chain shortages and shortages. Overall, gas prices are not helping our cause either. So the reason why i think that there's going to be a wig weave in hair extension shortage for the past couple of years. Since the pandemic, there has been a lace, wig shortage due to this shortage. It is so hard to now get silk based closures and it's very hard to get lace. There was nobody making lace. There was not easy access to lace, so they began to push headband wigs. Everybody was inside anyways, so people didn't really notice as we're coming out of the pandemic, we are still having major shortages of lace, so china has a zero covert policy and because of this xerokovic policy, a lot of suppliers are being affected. First, it started in shanghai, which we saw news, but there's also other places are being affected with coven and when that happens, everything gets locked down. Thus, we are still having a lace shortage and the workers who are still working mostly for the delivery of food. They are not allowed to go back home, they have to stay away or stay in a certain section in order to prevent covid from spreading. Nothing goes in and nothing comes out which also contributes to shortages in the supply chain. So the hair companies are stuck without materials to make full lace, wigs so from the headband wigs they decide to push other forms of hair care. How do they do this? They flood the markets with your favorite influencers with u-part, wigs and then even v-part, wigs. They pay the influencers flood the market and so everyone's, like, oh, everyone's, wearing their hair out now, but it's not only because people want a change right. You have to understand the market. You have to understand the industry. It'S also because there's a shortage in materials they need for people to have fully closed, hair extensions, aka, wigs wheeze, with frontals closures, etc. That also applies to tape in extensions ponytails, anything where there is a lot of hair left out. So first, let's take a look at our synthetic hair vendors. So go on any site that you normally buy synthetic hair from and they're already having shortages of things, aka they're sold out or it says: oh, we no longer sell this or it's unattainable before the pandemic. You could go to a synthetic care company and get a wig that came out two three years ago. One year ago they were always making new, wigs and replenishing wigs that are popular. Now they not only have a selective quantity of synthetic hair that they're selling, but they also have a selective amount of style and there's not a lot of variations in styles, it's only a selective number before you could flip through pages and pages of synthetic hair. Now you can only flip through like what one two three and then a lot of it is sold out and now on the human hair side. So a lot of the human hair comes from india or china, or just asia as a whole and because of the supply chain issues you are now seeing them promote v-part, wigs u-part, wigs without the lace and now there's a push for tape in extensions, because if You choose to wear tape and extensions. You don't need to have the material that it takes to make a wig. Microlinks is another big push by the industry. Ponytails is another big push by the industry. What i'm trying to say to you guys is: you need to understand sometimes that the trend that is being pushed towards us is sometimes corporate. It'S not always organic. It'S not always trickle up. Some of it is trickled down from corporate people, flooding the market with influencer marketing or flooding the market with promotional material, basically think about it. As the jack harlow situation of the hair industry, you keep seeing it and it keeps being pushed on you and you're wondering why, until you may finally accept it and buy into it, i wish him the best, but you know it seems to be that similar situation. So now that there's this push for black women to wear more of their own hair due to the shortage that is coming in hair extensions, what do we recommend for you to do as an individual? What can you do about this? First of all, i will share what i'm doing about this. I have quality hair extensions. I'Ve always been an advocate of purchasing quality, hair extensions. Now, not just gon na last you one or two years it's gon na last, you five six seven years right now. I have my hair extensions are nine years old. If anything happens, i'm going to go grab those extensions and i'm going to use those extensions which includes closures: silk based closures, frontal pieces that i have in my collection that has been in my collection for multiple years. This is not something that i'm kind of worried about, because i have a collection of high quality hair extensions. Most of the time, people think that i get my hair professionally installed and that's not the case. I don't get my hair professionally installed, i'm totally self-sufficient. So i would advise you guys to do the same. I would advise you guys to take the time and invest in quality items over the hump of this continuously climbing inflation. That is here right now and it continues to head our way. We do not know what december is going to look like only god knows if you guys can recall even during the pandemic, when sally beauty went out of stock of even the misters before you could get like a plastic bottle, mister for six or seven dollars. Now they don't even create those misters anymore. I think i'm one of the last people who have the misters, even certain combs you don't have access to, which is why also a lot of businesses are switching their formulations. So i know honeypot was attacked a couple of weeks ago for changing her formulation. Well, you can't really fault her because she doesn't have access to the products. The other day the news was reporting that sriracha were going to have a sriracha shortage as well. The next thing we have to think about when it comes to our hair is how do we plan to continue to style our hair with inflation prices are going to go up and i keep seeing people are getting very upset with hairstylists, who are charging 500 600 700. 800. 900. A thousand dollars for braids as inflation goes up, so does the cost of items so does the cost of braiding hair so in order to make ends meet they're going to have to raise the cost of the braids? Now you have two forks in the road, you have increased cost of hair supplies, hair tools and hair services, and you can choose to pay the money or you can choose hair independence, the more that you style, your hair and the more that you wear your actual Hair, the more money you are saving and you are less reliant on the things that you were once reliant on before. Even if you want to wear hair extensions, you have to do it in a way. That'S going to make you independent the majority of black women in america, a lot of them not all invest between three to six hundred dollars on hair on average, so the frequency of this depends on how often you're willing to change your hairstyle. So if you are someone who are is constantly changing your wigs and your weaves, because you're ordering new colors, and so if the hair you buy is always deteriorating fast. That'S going to affect the amount of money you're going to be spending on human hair extensions. So basically, what i want you to take away from this is that we need to determine as black women how we are going to do our hair going forward. If you do not have access to wigs and weeds and you do have not invested in good quality hair extensions, what is your game plan? Are you going to go down the no oils, no butters, no cream route and just wear your hair in a wash and go? That'S fine as well? Are you going to invest in braids and if you're going to invest in braids, i would suggest you get braiding hair that you can use over and over again, there is a lovely young black entrepreneur who is investing in sustainable braiding hair, and this is something you Might want to invest in yes, it might cost twenty dollars per pack or forty dollars per pack, but that pack is gon na last you a lifetime because you can just take down the braids wash the hair and put it back in your head. Please guys take this topic into consideration. Tell me your thoughts. Opinions on this topic tell us how you plan to deal with this situation. Do you plan to just wear your own natural hair and abandon wigs and weaves? Do you plan to invest in tools that are going to help you to do your own hair like rebundle? Are you going to plan to do a wash and go and do the no oils, no butters, no cream route? Are you planning to become a heat train? Natural are you planning to meet us in the waiting room? Nhb? Let us know down below and we'll see you guys later on dynamic touch. You

Cam Smith: Perhaps this is a good thing, more black women will become accustomed to wearing their own hair more than wigs.

Refuge of thoughts: I rarely wear wigs anymore so I don’t really care. I still have many wigs from when I used to wear them a lot. I use olive oil, grease and water on my hair and also shampoo and conditioner.

Teisha Howlett: Why don’t black women just start wearing their own Natural beautiful Hair? (WHY) Why all these weaves and wigs, messing up your edges..

Toonari: Love this video! I have been waiting for a certain vendor to restock their synthetic clip-ins for months. Because of this I decided to go with African threading my hair, for my summer vacation and then wearing my hair using hair Botox treatment. Your video is so full of insight and well researched, you are so talented. Keep up the good work.

CelestineWarbeck: I found this video just in time. I’ve been hair extension free for a month now and I don’t want to go back. It’s too much money, energy, and time to maintain nice extensions. Plus, it’s too much weight on my real hair

Drewbalina: I love doing no product wash and go’s. Using a shampoo and conditioner with protein was life changing for me. Definitely will still play around with heat and extensions.

Angel Ai: I’m starting locs. My hair grew so much during the first lockdown that it seemed silly to me to continue to wear wigs again when my natural hair was almost as long and full.

Lucky Donnee: Wear and love your natural hair ladies

Secret Keke: This was a great video, I wondered what the hype with tape extensions were.

2_Bl@ck: I don’t throw mine away, so I’ll be making do with pieces of this and that I’ve been stockpiling for awhile. I have a suitcase full of hair real and fake. I know how to do my own nails too, so I’m stockpiling that as well I refuse to be pushed to what I don’t wanna do

70’s Fashion &Hair Channel: Actually I thought this shortage was already underway late last year. I noticed it on YouTube in the lack of real new wigs.

Clenasma VanKlompenberg: First was baby formula then tampon then next is wigs and weaves who else thinks makeup and beauty supplies shortages will be next? is it just me raise your hand or comment

One Punch: Ig the Indian women are tired of donating their hair

djennelast20: I’m thinking about being a heat trained natural and getting silk presses every few weeks. U part and headband wigs have thinned out my edges and tape ins/microlinks seem like they can rip your hair out. Plus Im starting to date again and I get humiliated when a man tries to run his fingers through my hair but can’t because I’m wearing a wig lol

Alexis Estrada: My game plan? Wear my healthy natural 2A hair

Samantha Mari: Good to save up for a quality wig that will last longer

Gwendolyn Clyne: Also, I like to look at men braiding patterns for inspiration on braiding designs without extensions

Nocka Mama: Well time whip out my beautiful curls!

Sharaya Smith: "Maybe God is tryna tell you something, right now. Right now. Right now!"

S. Ross: Finally one shortage I care nothing about

Gwendolyn Clyne: Time for some locks or finger coils atleast

lafeil: We need make more stuff in USA future and right we in community just need do best we can.

EpiC coconut: Good. Too many lace fronts out here

Fitness Babe: I’m mixed and have good hair. However, i love color so I wear extensions.
