Sew In | No Leave Out | W/ Illusion Edges

Foreign, Hello, everybody welcome so today I'm going to show you guys how I did my mom's mini makeover. My mother also has hair loss around her edges, but the majority of it is right there at the nape of her neck. So I decided to go ahead and do a sew in on her and I'm going to be using the illusion edges method. As my closure first thing I did was braid her hair and then I sewed the braids together. So they don't come down. I'M also using a weave cap. We just use hair from our local Beauty. Supply Store, nothing fancy. She got it in black and also burgundy. Now I'm just sewing the hair in and I am using both the black and burgundy pretty much like alternating between the two. Here'S a view at the top all right, so it had been a long time since I've done a sew-in and I had to go back to filling those gaps. So that's what I was showing right here is the hair is all in and um. This is before the illusion edges. Look at that blend. I just love the way. These two colors look together. All right, and so here is where I am going to be adding her edges now, I'm just cutting the knit where the part is. This is everything that I'm going to be using to do the illusion edges all right, so I'm going to clean the area that I'm going to be applying the gel, and I want to emphasize it's gel - not glue okay, so this is totally safe, guys like it's, Not going to make matters worse, if it's taken down properly, there should be no further damage. In my previous video, I gave you guys suggestions on what to use to take it down. I would also leave it in this description box as well all right. So, as you can see, I am just applying the hair. The first thing I did was apply the gel onto her scalp and then I put the hair on and now I'm just going between that and I'm putting hair in to fill in those gaps. Once again, your rat's whole comb is going to be like a major key into making it look natural and laying it down properly. You also want to make sure that you have a steady hand when you're doing this as well foreign. I also used a banana clip to help hold the weight of the hair while it's drying, so you want to make sure that you have some kind of clip to hold the end of the hair so that way it can dry without being weighed down or you Having to hold it yourself and I'm just going to keep repeating the same process over and over until I have everything filled in to my liking, so this is what the hair looks like for the part. It'S blunt, as you can see, that's more blunt than the hair that I use for the edges, so when you're filling in the parts you want to make sure that it's blunt like that, if you're doing an Illusion part, you can also do a regular closure and Just be done with it, a lot of people just use a regular lace closure and that's an option. I just want you guys to know that there are other options like this as well. This is the final style um. Her hair is done now. I'M just gon na do a little makeup on her just to kind of complete the look. I am using Smashbox Studio skin full coverage.
