Say What?? No Leave Out Crochet Braids Tutorial

I always get asked questions on how I do my hair, what weave/wigs I wear... No child, these are crochet braids! So here is a tutorial for you guys. If you like this video please like it, share it and subscribe to my channel :)

The hair is Noir Marley braiding hair £3.00 from beauty queens. This is not a paid review. This is just how I style my hair.

I wear this hair for 6-8 weeks and just refresh my middle part every 2-3 weeks which takes less than 15 mins. When it is straight I treat it like my normal hair, I wash it whenever I feel like I go swimming I play with it. It is SOOOO VERSATILE you guys. when I am ready to take it out It only takes me about 40 mins to take down the whole thing. It is literally the EASIEST INSTALL to work with and maintain that I HAVE EVER HAD x Oh and I get no tangles or knots in the hair at all, at around 4:26 in the video you notice the hair has gone silky straight ?..well it stays like that no knots and that's because of CONDITIONER. in all my videos on youtube I'm wearing this Marley crochet hair

UPDATE:I've had this hair in for 3 weeks now, and I haven't refreshed the braid (still looks good check my insta for photos @ravennavera) Next week (week 4) I will make a video to show you guys how I wash, maintain and restyle this hair xx

Hey, hey everyone. Welcome back to my channel, so today is going to be a tutorial on how I do my crochet braids. I'Ve been wearing my hair and afro all week and I forgot to tie it last night. So this is the result, but if you want to see how I go from this to this then stick around and let's get started. Some things. You'Re going to need are some hair bands, a spray bottle with water, some leaving conditioner detangler, some coconut oil and wide tooth combs and you're also going to need a brush. So the first thing i do is spray my hair, some water. I also add some detangler believe in conditioner and my coconut oil. I then smooth this out all the way down to the end of my hair and then detangle with my fingers, and then I get my white you've comb to remove any remaining knots. So if your hair is tangled as mine you're going to work in small sections to make it easier for you to detangle once you've a tangled all your hair, it's time for you to start your braiding pattern, I always start with the front of my hair, and I do my corners going all back. I do about 20 braids in the front, but it will really depend on how much hair that you have. I do big cornrows on the sides and on the top my cornrows get smaller the two braids in the middle of your crown. You want to do as neat and small as possible. I also do a side part, so I also have anchor braids on the side. Those are going to be where you put your invisible part for the back of my head. I do my corners in a zigzag pattern, instead of going all back like I've seen in other YouTube tutorials, and that's simply because I live in windy off London and I don't want when I'm walking around London town, the winter blog band. You see massive corners going down the back of my head, so all you need to do to hide these anchor braids is to grab your crochet pin and pull them through your cornrows. When your braids need refreshing, all you need to do is grab your crochet pan again and pull them out, I'm going to be using four packs of Marley hair. In this tutorial, I always give the Marley hair a few swipes, with my straight line before I crochet them in, because I find it makes the styling process a lot easier and I don't have to pull out my blow-dryer. You can use any Marley hair. You like just make sure that it's a hundred percent Kanekalon hair so that you can straighten it or curl it with hot water. You put the pin through your cornrow, put the Marley hair and latch close the latch, pull it through the cornrow, and then you take the loose braids and loop. The Molly hair around the loose braids say that it ties. I know it looks a bit fiddly, but you'll get the hang of it. I don't cut the Molly hair because I want to have the full length of the hair so that I can decide how long I want it after I've straightened it. So again, with the latch open, you push the pin through your cornrow, you get your Molly hair and make a loop with the Molly hair. Through the pin close the latch on the pin and pull it through the cornrow, then you take the hair and pull it through the loop once twice three times, and then you secure the hair to your corner. I'M quickly going to show you how to do the knotless method for your invisible part, I'm using a smaller crochet pin here, because I want them to look really neat and I want to get as close to the front of the cornrow as possible. You only put one shot of the Molly hair through the loop three times and you leave the other out. You do the invisible part for both your middle part and your side part, and then you repeat, all the way down the cornrow, and that gives you the invisible part. Look you do the same thing on the other side, but in the opposite direction. Okay, now the hairs in you're going to brush this hair out, like your life, depended on it. So when you're satisfied that you've removed all the knots in the hair you're going to take a razor comb and shed the hair, especially the end, so that you make it look more realistic. So after this, what I'm going to do is spray the hell's a little bit of water and put in some leave-in conditioner to soften this head. This is a step you cannot skip. It makes the hair shiny and look much more natural. After that, I give the hair a quick blow-dry, and then I straighten and style I put on a white shirt so that you can see it a little bit better. What I basically do is cut the hair in a diagonal fashion to frame my face, then I get the edges out and I just shut them a little bit more because it frames my face better and it allows me to have more versatility when I want to Put my hair back: are you ready for this boom? Yes, yes, I am feeling this hair right now, feeling myself, I'm feeling myself doesn't myself, but yo yeah. Okay, sorry guys yeah! This is what M this is the finished. Look. I just added some curls with my hair straightener. If you want to have a more curly look, what you can do is use curling rods, wrap the hair around the rod twist, the rod together and then dip the rod in hot water for about 30 seconds and then unwind the hair. If you want much tighter curls, I suggest using a smaller curling rod in the same way that you use a foam rod, wrap the hair up pop the plastic bit over the end and then pop it in hot water for about 30 seconds and then unwind. You can also just use your fingers and wrap the hair and a bantu knot and dip that in hot water you can also add loose waves and straighten the hair. So after about three weeks, I get really bored with this hair, and I want to do something different. I normally cut it and make a bob or curl it do something else. Here are some other variations of this style. You can make button if you need to have a classy night out, just make sure you guys use some edge control on your little edges there and also don't forget the back. So you know how I did that side part there you go. You can also do a slick ponytail with that side pot. When you do it yourself, you guys would obviously spend a lot more time making sure that it's neat and clean, but this is just, for example, purposes but yeah. Those are some Styles you can do and I hope you enjoyed this video guys and thanks for watching. Don'T forget to Like share and subscribe and I'll see you guys in my next video kisses guys bye,

Raven Navera: Hi guys, thank you all for the love and support on this vid. I just wanted to answer a few questions you guys have. I used 3.5 packs of hair. Jacole crowder: I'm in the military and this would be perfect for me to put up in a bun and also look cute on the weekends ! thanks luv I'm going to get this done!

Mykia Moto: Girl I need a makeup tutorial! Everything in your face is flawless!!!

evespower1: It's been one week since my install and I used some other brand, not as hard as Noir, but it came out magnificently beautiful! I have received so many compliments it's unreal! Yes, the hair is hard as hay when installed. Tip: turn the heat up on your flat iron...DO USE GARNIER CONDITIONER it is the only one that works for hard a$$ hair. It takes about three days but it softens up and looks really good. Curl it with some hot rollers I got mine from Walmart conair heat wave...this method is truth, it reminds me of my hair when I was a little girl...do the work, leave it in longer, it's worth it. Thanks young lady.

Irakoze CB: This is the perfect protective hairstyle for my natural hair! Thank you for this and you are gorgeous girl!

Monita McLaurin: AMAZING!!! I have to say that you've got the best tutorial I've seen on YouTube. I'm using your video to do my crochet braids FOR THE FIRST TIME!!! I'm not quite finished yet but thus far I've followed your instructions to a "tee" & I'm very pleased about the results up yo this point. I shared your video with family & friends back on the Mainland & texted them picks of my progress & they all like your video & could see that my crochet braid stule is starting to take on the same shape & style as yours. I just finished the back & crown of my head & now continuing on with the sides, top, & front. I'm a bit nervous about the hairline & anchor braids but I think it will turn out great too. I purchased a razor comb too & hope to thin the hair out & ttim it too similar to your style. If you have any additional tips or suggestions to reply on the trimming & cutting steps, I'd really appreciate that too. Also your makeup is FLAWLESS!!# I saw your makeup tutorial as well & I enjoyed it too. If uou haven't done so, I hope you do a tutorial specifically for eyes; I like your application in the braid video. I think your GORGEOUS with or without make up & Marley hair. Thank you, ALOHA, & God bless. ✂✔♨

Melissa B.: Thanks for sharing these best practices for crochet braids. I am so so so tired of unprofessional salons and stylist not keeping appointments or following up with you. I made an appointment to get this done on Wed, took my hair down the previous day and went to work with a hat on with the anticipation of getting my crochets that afternoon. Of course the stylist sent me a text that the hair had not come in yet, i asked if i could come the next day and no response. I decided to just order the ding dang hair myself and do this process myself. i'm sure it will take all day but i am putting an end to terrible service. no more being desperate for someone to do my hair, I WILL DO IT MYSELF!!!!

Destiny Sunshine: Absolutely love this! You slaaaayed, thanks so much for sharing!!

Taylor Ankrah: OMG! So I have become like super obsessed with you and your crochet braids. You are the only person who inspired me to try something different with my hair and you are basically the best straight crochet tutorial on youtube rn. When I did mine, however, I really struggled with it not tangling easily as the day went on (I will check to see if I got the wrong hair and just get the same one as you). Anyway, I also had a hard time trying to curl the hair, but it finally worked when I bought my 3rd curling wand lol (I returned the other ones) Anyway the point of my comment was I wanted to suggest the curling wand and I would just love to see how you use it in one your videos, because I kind of struggle using it, but it definitely works! Here is the wand: https://www.amazon.com/Cortex-4in1-Tourmaline-Interchangeable-Resistant/dp/B0089E3ZTM?th=1
