What'S up y'all, it's your girl beautify and i am back with another video. Yes today today i am bringing you guys. A 2022 version of my sew ends. Y'All. As you all know, somethings are coming back, people are getting tired of frontals and i just wanted to do another step-by-step tutorial on a traditional sew-in. So before we get into this video make sure you guys like comment and subscribe, be sure to hit that bell. So you'll be notified every time, your girl, post, the video and let's go ahead and get into it. Hey guys. Here we go with step one. The first thing you want to do to get a great great traditional sew in is to carve out that leave out. Make sure you put out where the part is going to be, this is going to help you with your foundation. This is important. You want to make sure, there's enough hair to cover tracks everything of that nature. So that's the first thing that we do next we're going to go in with the braiding foundation. Now the braiding foundation that i use, i use a forward down foundation. I know this foundation is kind of popular now, but i've been using this foundation forever. You braid down with the connects and you connect the braids to each other. I don't know what the foundation is called exactly, but i will tell you i use this foundation because it helps with the natural hair under the install to grow even all around. Usually, when you braid the hair in a circle, the hair grows out uneven kind of like layers. I don't know if you guys see that eventually, like after a while after you're sewing so many times. So that's why i like braiding in this foundation, because my clients hair grow out evenly. I know i just said a lot, but just bear with me doing this braid pattern. You just want to follow the shape of the head. So it's not that technical, like as two circles or all those other braid patterns with these, you can just follow the shape of the head and just go right around now when you're pulling up the braid, don't pull too tight because you want to refrain from causing Tension on your client's head, you can pull softly and just slightly tuck the braid into the braid that you're braiding, so it will just be together and make sure you tuck it close. So you have a close foundation so guys. This is what your foundation should look like eventually, so now we're going to go ahead and get this needle to thread the last braid, that's hanging and i'm going to show you guys how to lock the thread in the hair before you get to sewing. My teacher from hairstyle used to call it a lock stitch, i believe, but this secures the needle and the thread and the hair. So, as you see, i'm looping the needle through the thread like splitting it open into and then just pulling it whole and that locks the thread into the hair. So guys, once you got that threaded needle locked in the hair, you could go ahead and start sewing. That braid down, as you guys can see, i'm sewing the braids straight across because i like to use that braid as like an anchor braid for less tension in the back of the head. So that's what i do um also i just cut off the excess braiding hair that i have from that braid guys. I did use braiding hair in her braids. I use braiding hair because one it gives you a long, lasting sew-in like you could wear so up to two and a half months with braids, but if you don't have weave in your hair, braiding or your hair under your sewing, it will not last trust me. It won't so always use braiding hair in the sew-in. Okay, that's a great review to have from your clients, so we're going to go ahead and cut that access thread off and then next is step four and we'll be sewing on the net. Okay, guys. The next step we are putting on the net and a lot of people ask me: what is the purpose of the neck like rachel? Why are you so big on using the net when you're doing a sew in guys, i believe in doing that, because a net protects your hair. So, basically, how i do my sew ends like i don't sew through the braid completely when i start putting the tracks in yes, i'm sewing through the braid a little and then the neck, but once that track gets secured on those on those braids, i sew on The neck, if that makes sense so like my needle and thread, is not going all the way through the braid it's going on the neck, so that helps with the hair growing. It prevents a lot of shedding when they take their hair down. You know um, they won't see balls and balls or clumps of the hair, because that thread and it doesn't matter what thread you use. You can use nylon or the cotton thread and it will be the same nylon or regular thread. It will be the same. You will have a lot of shedding if you do not use a net on the hair, and you guys may think i use a lot of net. I do that because for some reason, when i use less than this, i always end to not have enough, and i, like all the braids to be covered, so i mastered what works for me as a cosmetologist and other cosmetologists masters. What works for them. I even thread my needle super long and people used to always tell me like rachel. Your needles are super long, like you're, not going to be able to work like that, but it works for me because when they're not it slows me down and when they're super long. You know it takes me a good while to run our thread so yeah. I know i sound like i'm rambling, but this is my special to y'all and i love doing so. Yes, so right now, i'm just sewing down the net and, as y'all can see, that net is pretty flat. Wait to the cut off of the extra period. Okay y'all, so here i go, i'm cutting the excess lace off and you just want to just go around the premiere. The perimeters excuse me: y'all go around the perimeters of the head. You know under don't cut too close to what you just sew, because that can happen too. I'Ve done that before so just be careful about where you're cutting so you're just going to cut off the excess lace around the head. That'S how a net should be laid baby take notes period. Okay, people used to talk about me for using too much net, but look at that. It'S flat, no bulkiness. Okay, that's how a net should be laid so y'all. She got this bomb here. I don't know where she got it from, but i believe the name of it was like crystal or christian something like that, but i just know she got like a deep wave and it was fast period. Look at her talking max because she knew she was about to be five, laying the slate okay, so she's, working with a 20 22 and a 24 today. So let's go ahead and get this hair installed. Okay, guys now, i'm going in as you guys can see. I'M locking that thread through again and then i'm going to push my needle through the track. Now a lot of people always ask me. Why do i double my wefts, because i double my west for the fullness of the sew-in? Most people, like all their hair in their head - i don't know about y'all, but i like all my bundles in my head when i'm getting so in so this is the best way to get that is to double the wefts, and i don't. I do not cut my wefts y'all, i'm sorry! That is not me, so i can also show you guys how to properly do a full tutorial on how to fold your wefts at the corner. So you do not have to cut these weft shops. People pay too much money. Have they weft cut period? I always sew under the braids. This helps with flatness um. This also helps if your client wants to put their sewing in a ponytail. The braids won't show underneath so always sew on the braid for flatness and if your client wants to eventually like put their hair in a ponytail when they go to the gym or something like that, the braid won't show underneath also guys when i'm doing my sew-ins. I do not sew through the weft. I know a lot of cosmetologists that do, but i don't um. I don't sew through the weft, because one it hurts your fingers depending on how thick the wefts may be and then two there's just no need for it. When you have um, when you have a net on and all that, so i sew i loop under the wefts, so i don't sew through the wefts the only time my needle goes through the wefts is when i'm securing the track on to the braids and the Neck, that's the only time my needle goes through the wefts, but once i'm done getting through us, i sew under the wefts. If that makes sense, so so also guys. I know you guys see me patting her head a lot, that's because i'm patented for flatness. I always do that a lot just because if i need to go back through just case, i feel some lump. I always do the pat test. That'S what i call it the pack test to make sure that it's flat, so, as you guys can see now, i'm just taking the track around the head. Um she wants uh, you know the bang that goes in the face, so i'm just taking the track around the head. So i'm gon na try my best to show you guys how i fold. Let me see if i could zoom in okay, so i'm gon na try my best to explain this fold. So basically, when you fold, i do not fold both of the wefts, i actually bring it over. I bring it up and i take i fold the weft. That'S underneath, and i continue to sew that until i meet back with the other weft, i don't know if i explained that right, i'ma slow it down, so you guys can see it but yeah. I only fold one left over for the flatness and then, as i continue, i grab the other way and continue to double the tracks. Uh is y'all. Okay. Here i go again slowing down and show you guys how i secure my needle when i'm when i thread so once again, i'm gon na push that needle through there, as you guys, can see i'm pushing it through pulling it and then you're just going to take That needle split that thread open, split it open and then you're going to take that needle through that thread and pull it and that secures the needle in place. And then you can start sewing again: okay, guys for the last bundle. I do not double those wefts, because this prevents from bulkiness at the top, and it will make your sew in super super flat. But i do my left super super close to make sure i try to fit all the bundles in the head. So, as you guys can see, buying wefts is not double at the track. So, every time once i get to that third bundle, i or even if i get to a fourth bundle, i do not double those tracks at the top uh uh foreign baby, so guys right now. What you see me doing is a lay check. Okay, i'm looking at how that bang is gon na lay. You know exactly how she wanted. You know what i mean, so you always want to do that as well. To make sure those tracks are laying exactly how your client desires her tracks to like okay, oh my god guys my phone died. While i was recording, i'm so mad, i do apologize. I might have to do a part two, but right now you guys see me framing her face um, putting the layers in the front so that bang to fall like she wants it to and i'm gon na do it on the other side as well. This gives more volume to the sew end. You know just make. It looks more full, even more, even the more so you can layer. Sometimes you don't have to layer. You could just curl the layers in the layer curls in too, but i like to layer mine. So it can be perfect and it's a light layer, not a heavy layer. Okay y'all, the key to getting a good leave out. First of all, after you had that leave out braided up because most stylists do please blow dry that that hair out, so you can have a good silk out and then define that part. Okay, because you want that leave out to look as natural as possible blend in with your weave period. That is an important step me me, okay, guys, so i'm have to do another tutorial on how i curl my sew-ins and what products i use and what tool i use to curl, because for some reason my phone wasn't recording again when i thought i was recording When i was curling the back of her hair, so i owe you guys another video, so my next one i'm going to record it so be looking for that video. But i got this little segment of me curling the front of her hair. Now, when you're curling the front of the hair for the sew-in, you want to curl away from the face, so whatever the swoop is you want to curl away from the face on both sides to give you that voluminous look away from the face on both sides? Okay, me, okay, guys so the brand of the curling iron that i'm using is called babyliss baby bliss one two. I know it's spelled b-a-b-l-i-s-s. Those are the curlers of the brand that i'm using and i like to get the ones that look like a marcel set. I just feel like it's easier to um navigate through these now. The next thing i'm doing is her front. Bang. She wanted one of those heavy big bangs. I always pin curl it while i'm finished up, edges or whatever, because that needs to be the bomb. So i always pin curl that part and most of the time you know the other curls are loose and combed out. So do that as well. Okay, guys, the edge control i'm using in this video is the even edge control um with the purple top. I use a lot of different things for edges um, it just depends on my client's hair and how it reacts, but right here, i'm using even um. I actually use a mixture of spritz or hold spray, and even so you guys can see that when i get to her sideburn y'all for the sideburn, i used spritz first and then i went back over with the edge control. It just gives it a more shinier. Look: it's not hard and dry! That'S why i use that combination. Okay, y'all! Let'S get into this comb out about to come off these curls now the technique to a comb out guys is to keep combing it until you get the desired. Look that you're looking for um and on the side you comb away from the face to get the feathered. You know big volume, look fluffy, curl, look you just keep combing it and shaping it until you get the style you want, as you can see, i'm combing it backwards and then i'm pushing it forward. I'M shaping those curls, i'm just not combing them straight down. I'M combing the curls in the direction i want them to fall. Also. I don't know this to be true or not, but i know when i comb out my curls my curls tend to last longer. It'S almost like. It sets my curls when i comb them out because they just bounce back versus when i don't comb on my curls, my curls fall faster, so just the tip. I always comb out the curls because they last for a super long time. I hope you guys enjoyed this video. Make sure you guys, like comment and subscribe, be sure to hit that bell, so you'll be notified every time your girl, post and comment down below, if you guys want more videos like this, like i always say i'll, be back with more videos.
