This is what the braid pattern looks like after I finished, and it's neat on mine. So at this point is good to oil, your hair. ij_: You could also use scotch tape and use some tape to tape up the front part to the forehead with the lace portion so it securely holds it while you are freely sewing the back of the closure...I was just thinking outloud let me know if it works if you do try that technique..or even put on a slightly tight or snug headband around that area...or you could even skip all of that and just use bobbin pins and pin down the sides and towards the front area of the closure to your braided base and it will also freely allow you to sew the back
