Hair Extensions: How To Sew In

Sewing in Purple hair extensions for peekaboo lowlites

I you hey guys it's Raquel! We are going to be sewing in hair extensions purple extensions unless today to make peek-a-boos and to do this, I'm already sectioned to her hair off I'm going to be using a high quality synthetic hair that you can actually curl in flatiron she's only going to leave Her these peekaboo tracks and for couple - let's sorry about that for a couple weeks, so it doesn't really matter how well the hair is Khushal Potter star my way we could go on, but I'm going to go ahead and show them in just show you guys alright. So, first off I'm going to go ahead and twist put her hair in two twisted tracks and so those and then I'm going to sew the hair on. So what I'm going to do is start with to tryst twisted tracks and I'll twist from the side in and this side in, and also them once they're twisted with this here, needle okay, so I've twisted it over and so not on one side and I've twisted This site over its own it here, I'm the reason why and i'm using the sewing needle and thread for hair. The reason why you do this is so it doesn't cause a big bump right in that one section, because you do need to overlap the hair. If you don't that's going to cause a big bump now, this is not like a super clean method or anything because we're just doing this to create pick a booth. This method is good. It doesn't, if someone's allergic to glue or if they don't want to damage their hair at all, or they have sensitive scalp, because this doesn't pull it out and it doesn't hurt their scalp at all unless you stab them and - and then also you can't. This is similar to the braiding method so like in the braiding method. You would braid in cornrows and then sew them down and then so the hair on top of it, but I'm twisting them in and the next one I'm going to do. I'M going to show you guys how to use a synthetic heroin with it and that just helps. If someone has really slippery hair, it helps it stay better. So this twist method is just easier. If it's not going to be as long term like breedings meant for more longer term wire and again we're not doing long-term we're on this, I've known people that do this and then glue the extensions on top of it and that I don't really understand. But this is better because you don't need any glue. I'Ve done this to myself and your arms burned by the time. You'Re done it's like when you do like a whole head weave. That'S pretty gnarly, as you can tell I haven't done this. I'M kind of like all thumbs on this part, I'm just going to keep selling it around till you get to the edges and then I've got a piece. That'S doubled up Liz. Can you hand me the short piece that we're going to put it on there. So you're just kind of like wrapping it in there throw it in there okay, so we have a piece of the synthetic hair that we're going to be using. So I'm going to hold this up to the track that we've, the left or not the left. I'M sorry, the corn row that we've done on and then I'm just going to go ahead, and so this into place here and it's pretty simple again. This is harder to do on yourself. It'S much easier and faster and time consuming. When I sewed my own leavin, it took me about eight hours, which is probably why my arms were burning and then ticket out was a. I was cussing myself out. It took me probably at least our least eight hours to get it out. Ok, and so when you do not make sure this bottom line stays up on there as you can see it kind of slipped down and I'm not going through the left, i'm just going underneath the left into the hair, my needle came undone, I'm going to rethread My needle here it's a little bit frayed. I actually like an upholstery needle better and upholstery hook, needle because it's smaller and it seems like i have better control over it. Neither is bigger than they kind of loop around on you more so than needed. So i'm at the end of the track here and see it's not really tight, because it's not pulling on her hair, i'm just going to pull that through. Okay. Now i'm going to start tying it off, because I met the end of this extension and we're just doing this to give her um color I'm going to go through and pull up on that and that's going to start tying it off. I'M going to do that. A couple more times just pull it through and then lift that thread back through there. Ok and I'll go in and cut that. So that is our first track that we did and then we're going to do. One more. Let me see if I can get a long view of it, so you can see that purple, it's really nice and ok. So I have her second track brighter than are not ready to twist it in and so, and then we're going to apply the hair extension to this once can't see the peekaboo color on that. That'S really pretty go ahead, so we have a two pieces cut already and I'm going to sew them in with them together like this and I'm doing two, because I'm doing this for the color and I want the color to be strong, a very vibrant I'm going To hold these up right here underneath the track - and I have my needle threaded - i'm going to go ahead and put this through here and pull it out. Ok, go ahead, put your head down for me just for a minute, and so this is going to line up right underneath here. So i'm going to go on to our corn row and pull that through and then continue to do so all the way over. I'M going to go back because this is where it starts, and I'm just going to remove it a couple of times, because I want it to be really sturdy right. There, that's typically like works engines start to lift, is on the edges, whether it's their gluten or Sonnen or whatever that I just always seem to come. Undone first, so I'm just picking this up with my needle and then going up underneath the corner 0 & sewing. It to that and then again right here and making sure not to stop our model or client to suture this to her head and then I am going to come back through the corn wrap and so that on up into there and then continue my way over Sorry, I just poked her to the side. Can you turn hedges for me just a little bit and these are not flat as flat as a glose, because obviously you have that corner right there. So the sewing works good for peek-a-boos are down under or if you're going to do a whole entire head of weave. But like we know this chick and she leaves her whole head and it always looks like a wig because it's so poofy on top and it's just not attractive. Ok, so I'm going to come back through and double that up, ok and so here's our final product. We have the nice peekaboo, then it's about the same like this, her hair, it's not much longer, and then how does it feel? Does it feel fine yeah? It feels fine, doesn't feel like tight or anything, and that's just going to be fun like she can pull her hair back into a ponytail. And it's just going to be like highlights and such back there so I'll be good, and then she can use a flat iron on low heat and then a curling iron, although he too, so that's how you do sewn-in extensions guys, thanks for watching have a good Day,

MIDWEST QUEEN: im glad i watched this so i can do some hair now. i knew how to do everything but this. but doin my own will be the challenge. thanks for sharing!

Miss Ashleigh: the end results looks great too!!

Mia: Great job :) What type of string do you use?

Diana Luisa K.: very interesting : ) i didn´t know that you can sew in extensions

Raquel Siders: @KinkyMayhem it really depends on the person and their hair care practices. The glue is flatter and quicker, so if you are doing a whole head I tend to go with glue. But again it just depends on you. I suggest trying both and see which you like best, I have worn and do all types of extensions except for the metal bead clamps. Those I hate

Luna Lou: That's really cute. I didn't know it was that simple to do. About how long do they last?

Angie Lilly: Great video<333

ALICIAJ83: WOOOOW IVE NEVER SEEN THIS METHOD BEFORE......learn something new everyday!!! thanks for video!

Raquel Siders: @Karlaa449 I used synthetic hair in this video... it was high grade so you can curl and flat iron it on a low temp

Zina Sanchez: I'm not usu a fan of non-natural color hair, but DAMN that looks good :)

We Byte At Night: hi i know this is a old video but i was wondering something. i plan on putting in turquoise extensions on pretty much my full head my hair is like shoulder length do you think i should sew or glue those?

Rabab Karem: I've done it before and it started to hurt as hell + i couldn't wash my hair or even blow dry it.  so, i  removed my extension  in day three and guess what  .. the area around it was totally bald !  can u believe it ! in day 3 !!  i don't recommend it at all, it's just a nightmare for ur hair .  PS. i didn't remove it my self, a hairdresser did it to me very gently but still, and i can't grow it back till now :/

chevon1920: Wow, that took a while. It would probably be faster if you just braided the base. Its really not that difficult to cornrow. You can look it up on youtube. I otherwise I think its really cute

Tyra: its way of dying your hair without dying it!!! :D

Tabatha Mayhew: where did you get the purple?

Raquel Siders: @MindyLou89 if you braid or twist with synthetic hair before you sew in, it last about 6-8 weeks

Karla Marca: What brand of hair is that?

AviaSunanda van de Werff: VERyyy helpfuLL,thanXXxx a LOT!!!

Sol Ordunez: how would you take them out??

tspot2000: Ok this is Cool at least you ate trying to know how to do it and for only wanting the hair for just a couple of weeks this is not bad just next time as you will soon figure out don't forget to knot your thread or it may come out before u want it too
