How To Wear Halo® Hair Extensions | Luxy Hair

Hey guys welcome back to the Lexi hair channel, my name is East Dianna and today's video is super exciting, because Lexi hair just launched halo extensions. So in this video, I'm gon na be trying them out, showing you how to put them on how they work and answering all of the questions. So, let's just get into it. This is the Lexi hair, halo, extensions. It is a hundred and forty grams of remy human hair on this nylon wire, okay, the halo. It comes with two clips here to secure to your head for extra security. The halo also comes with these guys, and these are two clip West, which you can add to the sides of your head. If you need extra blunt and this will equal out to 180 grams of hair for a full set. So when I first saw halo, I had so many questions like how does it work? How does it go on your head and what's the difference between a clip in extensions vs., halo, extensions, so, first off you may notice that halo is one piece, one big piece that goes around your head and Lexi hair. It also includes extra two side pieces. If you need it, the halo has one piece versus the clip ins which have nine or ten wefts, so having just one piece versus multiple is gon na, make it ten times faster to put in your hair extensions. So if you're like me - and you like, wearing hair extensions, a lot, but you don't have a lot of time, you don't spend a lot of time. Doing your hair having just one piece BAM. Put it on and you're done is a godsend. So the biggest difference between halo and clip-ins is definitely the speed of how long it takes you to put on your hair extensions for sure, but the classic and seamless clip ins allow you to have a lot more flexibility and customization on where you place. The extensions on your head for the best blend with the halo - it's always going to go in the same exact spot on your head. So basically it's speed versus customization. Also halo is best suited for people with thin or medium thickness, hair, and here that's below your shoulders, so you have short or really thick hair. The clip inset would be a better choice for you. This is because our Hale that's our 180 grams and if you have short or thick hair, we usually recommend our classic 220 grams sets and that will give you a lot more hair to work with to create that seamless blend okay. So how do you put this thing on so halo actually comes with seven different sized wires from extra extra small, all the way up to extra extra large, and you need to select the wire that is best fitted for your size of head. So, as you can see, the halo wire which is made of nylon is very bouncy. It'S very stretchy, so this is very comfortable to wear on your head. It'S not stiff, it's not super tight and it also won't snap in half or break just to show you the difference. I'M going to choose the extra extra large size and know this will probably be too big for my head because I know have a small head, but here's how you'll know for sure. So you can attach the wire to the halo the same way a bra strap. Would work once the wire is attached just like this? You can test out the sizing on your head before I even clip up my hair or anything I'll. Just put the halo on like a headband like this to test the sizing. As you can see, the hair is not sitting flat against the back of my head, it's kind of sticking out and there's a big gap between the West and my head, not good. So this means it's way too big. So, let's take it off and see what happens if you choose a size that is too small for your head, so I'm going to swap the extra extra large for the extra extra small and just show you what would happen so putting it on if it's too Tight it might pop off and the wire will cause too much pressure on your scalp. So through this process I found out that my perfect size is actually an extra small. So how do I know you want the halo to comfortably sit around the crown of your head, and you can feel this area right at the back of your head, where it starts to go down and inwards kind of just starting to go into your neck? That little like dip is where you want the halo to sit. There shouldn't be any gap or space between the weft and your scalp, and it also should not be squeezing your head. So just a tip. If you just bought your halo and you don't know what size you are, the sizing is pretty generous, so I would start small and go up from there. So when I first tried halo, it actually felt like it was floating on my head. It was so light. It was like barely there, it was amazing, so let's jump into how to actually put it on and the wearing process and how to blend the halo with your natural hair. So, to put the halo on, you need a rat tail comb or you could use your nails if they're long enough. That would do the trick as well so where the wire is going to sit you're going to grow about one to two inches back from where your hair starts so right about here on your hairline is that's where the wire is going to sit so you're just Gon na take your rat tail comb and start parting, your hair right. There move all the way to the back, I'm just going to clip it out of the way same thing on this side, one to two inches back, quit all the way around to the crown of your head, and you want to make sure that the line the Part that you're creating is very clear and the more precise of the better, because that's going to be a much cleaner blend for you when you put the halo on so it should look something like this. Just like that clean line and then instead of clipping up your hair, like with clippings it's better to do a bun, so that way the halo won't get caught on it, as you put it on just like that, and then I'm just going to brush out the Back layers of my hair, just so it's all clean and nice so to put on your halo, you want to make sure that the two clips right here are actually closed, like that, because if they're closed they're not going to snag or get caught on your hair. As you're putting it on your head and then you can unclip them and clip them in afterwards, so when putting it on, you want to think of it almost like a headband or a halo, so you're just going to drop it over your head. Like so, and then just place the wire right exactly on the line that you created right there, then on the back, you're just going to unsnap the clips and just clip it in like so to secure. So, as you can see, the halo is officially on and you can see how quick that was literally. It was just one piece: you drop it on your head, snap, it shut and that's it it's done. It'S so fast. Also, if you're worried about the halo like flying off your head or if the wind blows or something it's not going to happen, because you have the two extra clips for security, so when you like shake your head, doesn't move okay! Now it's time to let down my hair, so I'm just going to untie the bun. I remember the cleaner of the part line you had the easier this will be for blending, so you're just going to get a brush, I'm using the luxy hair loop brush and you're just going to gently brush over to cover and conceal the wire, and if you Need you can also use your rat tail comb to kind of like dig any pieces out that get stuck or if there's any like pieces that get caught under the wire? You can just dig them out kind of and then go back to brushing your hair over to officially cover the wire it like that you have a sensitive, scalp or fragile hair. You might want as few clips as possible. So halo is a great option for you. So, depending on how much natural hair you have, you could potentially just end here like in two minutes and put on your halo and you're done. It'S so easy, it's so fast, but I am going to add the two extra pieces because I just want a little bit of extra volume. So let's go do that so I'm just going to create a part about two inches above my ear kind of around my temple line. So I'm just gon na clip this out of the way and you're just going to take your bonus to click left and just clip it in like that and then just let your hair down to cover it. So I just finished putting the two clip left on the other side of my head, and now I'm just brushing everything out to blend it all together, I'm loving the way that it looks, and also I just want to notice. The wire up here is clear. So on most people it will blend seamlessly well, but if you do notice, it peeking out even a little bit. All you have to do is just spend a little extra time brushing carefully over it and you're good. So once your halo is in, you can go ahead and style. Your extensions, I actually pre curled my halo extensions before this and I pre curled my natural hairs, but all I had to do was just put it on and it was already good to go. I just spent some time brushing, so it blends together, maybe I'll, add a little bit of extra hairspray so that it sticks for the whole day. My hair is literally done. It was that fast. It'S basically like the perfect addition for people who want a low-maintenance hair, routine busy people lazy people - all of you. This is your new best friend. If you want long beautiful, voluminous hair in under a minute, so pre styling your extensions, that's an optional way of your styling hair. You could also curl your extensions and your natural hair together after you put the halo in you, can put it up, you can straighten it, you can do whatever you want. You can use hot tools. Whatever you do to your natural hair, you can do to the halo hair. It'S all the same if you do have thin or medium thick hair and you put the halo on, but you still feel like you might need a little bit of extra hair. For that perfect seamless blend or you just want extra extra volume, what you can do is actually take a volumizer like. So it's a four clip: weft 45 grams of extra hair and what you can do is just clip the volumizer onto the halo, attach it there and then just apply the halo just like you would normally and you'll have 45 grams of extra hair. Another thing I wondered when I first saw the halo is like, if you put it on and it's a windy day and the wind blows like will it show? So I actually wanted to test this out. So I took a fan, and this is what happened as you can see. It doesn't show at all. So you don't have to worry about that. As for taking care of your halo, extensions, same rules apply for all Lexie hair extensions. It'S all the same, high-quality and running human hair. So when you're not wearing your halo extensions, you can store them in the box. They came in which looks like this. It has a beautiful gold halo around it, and this is what the regular clip in extensions box looks like since y'all. Both this is how you can differentiate. Another thing to watch out for is getting heat on the wires. So when you're using hot tools and styling your extensions, I would recommend pre styling your extensions, so you can see what you're doing or just be super careful while you're wearing it and avoid this area.
