Why Man Weave Is A Problem. Using Hair Glue & Tape To Add Waves & Dreadlocks & Why It Is Dangerous.

Man weave hair glue waves, flat tops, and dreadlocks and why they are dangerous

I'M looking to have a serious discussion about men, putting man weaves on you know, um, it's it's about some of the dangers of putting this glue in your head and patching it down. It'S about the fact that you just don't have the wealth to be doing this, and it's also just about the fact that what you doing putting these patches on the top of your head, let your head shine, get you some alive and stop putting that Patchwork on Your head: let's talk about it, look I'm trying to think, because I want to be serious in this discussion, but I can't get too serious because this is so unserious in terms of what these men are doing to stay young. They are patching the cheapest hair to the top of their head. They have no idea where this come from and then taking pictures. You know how uh Rachel Dolan's out was transracial. They transgenerational. Let me say these men are transgenerational they're using words like unit and and uh. What'S the other word install making it sound like a manly mechanic work? No, this is a called a cranial prosthetic a toupee. You are wearing a toupee, let's call it what it is. Let'S not let them tell us, No Nonsense, so I'm gon na tell this story through tweets, but I'm also going to let people call in we're going to get to the discussion uh. You know I don't know what to do when you glue your waves on you're gluing, your waves and your dreadlocks on, and we gon na talk about the contrast. What men say: oh women are doing it too. They not trying to look younger, at least to me, we'll show I'll show you to me. The men are actually doing it for a different reason than women. The men are doing it to actually make themselves look like they're young again, I don't think women are doing it for that. Well, I can be wrong. I'M not saying absolutely I'm just saying so you trying to fix your dating profile. You got ta put the piece up when you y'all, take it up and put two pictures, one with it up one with it down. Look we're gon na. Have this discussion we're gon na talk about it, black men out here putting man weaves on toupees, they're gluing. It on with this dangerous glue, we already know from 2005 with black women, that this glue causes all kind of issues we'll get into in a second they're allowing Barbers that are largely high school graduates. They'Re, not medical professionals, to do this, cranial prosthetic to their heads that getting the materials that have no idea when they're being overcharged and two these the lowest grade hair. I think it's the scraps, The Leftovers. I want to talk about it. I got people in the chat, I got I'm getting about a thousand people out here. Ingma said they drag women for wearing weave Fountain of Youth unit. They out here to pay. That'S what it is. It'S a toupee, it's a car. Let'S use the right word: We're not gon na. Let them call it unit we're gon na, not gon na. Let them call it install. You are gluing on a toupee, a cosmetic, a cranial prosthetic you're gluing, that on I want to talk about it because everybody's kind of skipping around it yeah, you remember when the peacocks show their feathers. That'S supposed to Signal a time for mating. You are taking peacock feathers from the ground and putting them shits in. Oh God, you are taking the peacock feathers on the ground and putting them in and they're mad. When you attract people who want to mate, they thought she was 35.. You want to talk about it, toupee and beer units you can get both and then these things are thousand dollars. They they the way they're doing the websites they they tell you about how much the unit costs and then there's kind of vague about how much the install costs, but when you walk out of there, it's a thousand dollars for this thing, that's glued onto your head. That'S really just temporary. You got men in here that need an implant in their mouth, but don't get a cranial prosthetic for their head cause. Can'T nobody see their mouth fix them back teeth, so you can eat some steak. Can we talk my God watch out for this out? There looks very unsafe and far too expensive. The language is to call it a unit and make it acceptable they're trying to move it. It'S called The Overton window. Somebody says twelve hundred dollars for these things. So they're trying to move it and make it uh the terms. Okay, no call it a uh uh, either a cranial prosthetic or a toupee. Don'T let them call this anything else. You better start checking when they show up and they look 50 years old and Harris from Audubon Middle School. They got that Audubon Middle School. On top, you better check. Can we get to it? I know a lot of people who already have it in their head is going to be mad at this. Show. I'M sorry because we just we're trying to get to a serious discussion, but we're also going to have it in context of what the way we want to have it for those that are that are thinking about it. I think this will help a lot in terms of you might not know how dangerous these things are. Um watch out for this out there, it looks very unsafe, far too expensive. The language is to call it a unit and make it acceptable that the unit is the piece we'll talk, we'll show I'll show you the piece. Look like a piece of rug with some with a shower cap under it, don't let it get hot outside with all that glue and shower cap looks very unsafe and far too expensive. The language is called the unit and make it acceptable this Con. This Con then con people, the hair, is 400 upcharged from like 200 or less on Amazon alone. Then then they charge hundreds to have a person install it. This is imma, show you a video, so we can actually know what we talking about. I'Ve been doing. Uh man wish for about three years now and I've been cutting hair for a total of 10 years. So the first step that we're going to do all the time is we're going to draw his hairline. This is the most important part, because once you put the glue and the hair down, you really can't move it. George Jefferson, I'm just gon na go and I'm going to cut his hair down we're going to give yourself a clean Foundation, we're going to clean the scalp with alcohol. So that way, when we go and we lay the glue down, it's it's going down on a perfect circle - it's really Gon na Last, the longer the scalp protecting goes on after that, and then I use my ghost Bond lace, wig adhesive, so I use air glue. I laid That Base today and I just blow dried it there's really not any special tools, uh most of the stuff that we're using is stuff, that's already being used in The Barbershop when it comes to our Clippers, our shoes, things like that in the barber shop You know the thing Barbers, you know that tape um, you think, like that, the hair that we're using you see that stuff a lot more in like a salon than you would a barber shop patch it down. Now I'm taking the stocking cap through that - and this is the final step of creating the base it's going to help it last longer. This is what they call, so it can really stand up to a lot more moisture than a units that it glued straight to the base can uh the units they last anywhere from uh one week all the way up to two months. If you get somebody who really takes care of a unit, it looks still gon na lose some normal wear and tear hair starting to peel away a little bit um. It really just like to look like you need a haircut. That'S it be the expert. This is black electrical tape and just to make sure I get a nice straight hairline, I'm going to lay that down as a guide and I'm going to take my most fine adhesive put it right over it and then peel the tape off and out of the Perfect line the first step that I'm doing when it comes to laying the hair is, I basically take the dreadlock. I comb out the very bottom of it just about maybe a half inch to three quarters inch and then I'm just laying it right on his hairline. So this is just creating a hairline going all the way around and I'm laying them so where they fall out. So then, when I go and I cut them on on the edge this man is not a medical professional he's, probably arrested. Now, I'm going to use uh the black hair glue, the black hair glue a lot more durable um these dreadlocks they get heavy so with this blue, when you lay it on there, it's going to hold on there tight you're, not gon na, have to worry about It coming off I'd, say the hardest part of the process is sometimes working with a client and giving them exactly what they want. A lot of people will come in with unrealistic expectations. I try to try to be as transparent as I can with my clients and you know kind of go off their situation and and give them something that's really going to fit them. And it's going to look the most realistic. So when they're out in public people aren't just staring at them and wondering what they got going on on their heads come on, the black hair glue does not dry transparent. So that's why I don't use it on the outer Ridge. Like I said when I cut down that outer Ridge, I want to be able to see it Stout. So now it looks more realistic, so I like to go through it, pull some strands and make sure they're tight and just kind of compress everything like once you put all the hair on and you get to start cutting it. That'S what it really just feels like. You'Re just doing a normal haircut, I'm done so. The end result looks like this, and the man started off. Looking like that, so you know you know we're going to talk about it on a serious level. The reason why I want to do this show is, I don't think, a whole like generation of Aging Gen X, hip-hop fan black males understand the danger. This could do to your head. A lot of you guys don't have life insurance if things go wrong and your family needs you to work and pay for your family, you don't have health insurance in some cases and you're doing this to your head. You don't have the money to pay for this. You got missing teeth or you got dental work that hasn't been done or bills that have not been paid and you're, giving somebody a thousand dollars to put this thing on your head. That can cause you medical conditions. Later. I want to talk 310-388-3499 to call in you can subscribe press the Bell we're going to have this discussion because it it needs to be had. This is ridiculous. This is if it was amongst the youngins or something for you know, say we had a nuclear fallout and all the babies lost their head and they was doing this it'll be understood. We looking at 50 year old men doing this 50 60 year old men trying to stay young. Look at akon akon is getting roasted by black Twitter for having a bad two pack. He photoshopped his hairline. This is that stuff. He put that patch on top. This is what he looked like before and that's what he looked like after he got it on top. We gon na talk about where the hair comes from a lot of you, guys hollering uh, [, __, ] and and all kind of other terms, and then you got hair and the guy in the review will explain it that look Latin before you put in they. Don'T even have it ain't even like a kinky afro a lot of times, it's almost like a Latin Asian kind of hair. You got all kind of psychological issues going on caller. What'S your name where you calling from West Wisconsin yeah man, you always call in okay. We are here what I think, what I think you look at, that man is but they're trying to get tough, get what um welcome people to sing with this age like we're packing with that. Don'T have to look here because she was almost the same because because they're working your labor and attractiven over any, so we don't have a lot of things for that for that, so that kind of hold on hold on. Let me make sure everybody heard what you said. What this man is saying is that a generation of men, post-mass incarceration post hip-hop, are not transitioning into a status in the society, black men, where they are able to access the wealth that comes with the Aging maturing man, so they reach back to their youth. To get the early peacock feather kind of attention, they don't know what they're doing they don't know why they're doing it but they're doing it because they're unstable it is a cry for help more than the actual statement about beauty go ahead. Caller come on New York. That'S exactly with me, you know uh. It was part of that road. The weather educated work, you know, but let me ask you this. Let me ask you this. Let me ask you this. Let me ask you this. I posed this earlier and I have my own answer. So I'm gon na give you my answer and then let you give your own for decades and it's funny because women, my mama included, God, bless her soul was using this glue and we found out this glue causes all kind of uh dermatitis and stuff on the Scalp we'll get into that in a second, but I I never felt that women were doing it for the status of Youth black women. What what I actually think is going on here is that black men are actually trying to present themselves as though they're younger than their age, because it gets cut. And if you look at this uh, I'm gon na get. I was gon na get to this later, but I guess I'll talk to you about it, because you hear and you're so informed when it gets cut. It gets cut and there's something called a Norwood skill in a very similar frame to the seventh level of the Norwood scale of balding, and then they actually add the hair not to the sides not to the back no DuckTales they're, adding it to the top. Where the, where the balding will happen, so this is the actually transgenerational trick, do you think black women were doing it? For that reason, I don't think so. Maybe maybe you're the wrong person to ask. Maybe a woman is, but I don't think black women were doing it to look younger, read it as a woman number eight. So they can't resistance of a 50 year old man. They don't have none of the things they don't have life insurance. They don't have a house, they don't have uh. Some of these men actually are coming out of prison and they don't have social security. You know they don't even have social security, so what they do is try to recapture youth. Oh man, that's powerful man. Hey! I got a full Q Man, let me say this to you all right, foreign, okay right and because even the foreign you're saying making a great point - and I totally agree with you that they that basically they were missed - they missed so many years in prison. They was getting out and they want they wanted to be youthful again, but that time is gone. I'M gon na play one more clip to you and then I'm gon na ask you a question. 900. Thank you, 950 dollars for this hair transplant. What you think about that and I'll, let you go every ridiculous, you spending money, you don't have. You know you two, though, all right man. Thank you. So much for coming. You always come with that fire man we getting right into it, we're getting into the discussion! These are not units and they aren't installing them. Don'T let them use that language. They are gluing a patch of Latin or Euro textured. They are, they are not units and they aren't installing. They are gluing a patch of Latin or Euro textured hair to your head. For months and charging you thousands, you, don't have often up charging the unit from 159. Here after wavy uh, afro, wavy, eight millimeter, six millimeters 159 158, often charging the charging the unit from 159 to like 400 and even more for the install like 400 or whatever. They charge for the two hours that they do this uh. This is wildest and it needs regulation. This is when you need your FDA to step in, or your local Health uh services to really really look out for people that don't that might not understand the dangers that they're facing. I got a full cue. I'M gon na talk to some more people, but before I do that, I want to contextualize something because people say well: they should be able to spend what they don't have it to spin. We know in Boston. The middle black family family is worth eight dollars. We know that in Miami it's worth eleven dollars, we know that the middle black family in the LA is worth 200. We also know that the middle black American is making about two uh 26 000. A year the whole household is making 46 y'all got kids, the kids need Services need help, need tutoring, need all this and we spending money. Let'S go back doing this doing this, trying to get uh the hair of a 10th grader. I remember when I was in 10th Grade Minds. Look like that, I'm not in 10th Grade! No more. Can we talk about it, Carla? What'S your name where you calling from uh, let me let me read something to you, so this is a review that that was. This is verified, purchase from Royal one and it's a review that was under this in this uh unit that you could buy. So they buy the units and then we don't know how long they've been sitting. You don't know where they come from the the hair stylist, who often is a high school graduate here who's been cutting hair. Not a medical professional likely doesn't know where this come from. They didn't go to the actual Factory in uh. Whatever part of Asia is from whether it be India, China, whatever whatever else they got it in a box, then set it to the side. They don't know what level of hair this is and they putting it in. Your head, but what we do know is that what royal once said is please don't waste your time purchasing these afro hair units. They are not afro. Let me look at it again, so we out here hollering at eight awesome, Blackness and and then you're putting this in your head, a bushel of of Latin looking hair, okay, Latin texture. Here it is a scam and they need to be listed for selling them uh. At the price they do for something which does not match the description. Afro hair is not straight, is coarse and currently, and these units are straight and silky, which does not match afro hair, and this is what's going on so then he cut it down and it's wavy go ahead. Carlos give me your thoughts on this um. Well, my thought on it is: I really want to go back to the color that's like before. That was basically talking about the fact that people are not aging gracefully and I think a lot of it goes back to what you and that both of y'all say all the time. Is that we're not ready? We don't have the wealth, we don't have the money and this is an escape. You know what I mean, and so some of them feel like they probably are already shaving it down the side. So why does it matter if you're still here or not, but if they don't get the good hair, they always want it, I'm putting good hair in your clothes by the way, because what does that really mean? But I really think this is just another sign of like he said the guy that just said earlier that um black men, especially black for black women, but people are not ready in times of Heart. Like you always say, the American dream is not available. They realize that they haven't stayed they've kind of gone out. They'Ve had sold their Wild Oats and all of a sudden they're getting sick. Maybe they got diabetes, high blood pressure. They need somewhere to rest the neck, a nurse with a percentage so they're actually looking to love them and find a woman, that's halfway, say: well, maybe she's never been married, no kids, she's looking for love and they're looking to attach themselves to it. So this kind of reminds me of that. That'S, like the whole thing, that's going on right now. Can I say something: can I say something I don't know your age, I'm not going to ask, but what I do think is that we have to be careful to talk about things in terms of their different times. I I would say this is my pushback to you and the last caller that that's something that was more prevalent 15 years ago, when black women had much more stable jobs, post office uh up tomorrow, I'm talking about black women that are in their like early 40s. I think now the men and the women are so unstable that what we're actually seeing is is probably different layers. I'M not saying I just I just don't know if the women are as stable as we're saying now compared to the men like they were 15 years ago. You know, is he doing this to catch an Uber driver that graduates college? She don't help him so so I so, like you know this, this creation of a of a of a world where it is stable, because you know a lot of 40 year old 35 year old black women don't have any retirement either the pensions are dried up. Now there is an older set, but we got to be careful to be understanding of how the data actually says. It doesn't say black men, it doesn't say black women. It says black people make it 26 000 a year. So this this Safe Haven and this black woman who has bought a house and black men, can't I don't know how real that is for uh under now. If you go up to 58 into 62, maybe that flip starts showing like, like you said, but I would just say this. Let me also say one other thing: what black man? Oh, let me ask you, let me ask you something before I get to this, I'm so sorry. I wanted to ask you the same question. I asked him. I wanted to ask him the same question. I asked him. I remember the the strong wave of the weave and it didn't feel like black women were doing it to be young to me. It feels like black men. The way they shave it down is actually to the seventh level of the Norwood scale. If it was like black men are actually doing this to be transgenerational to be young again, do you think black women were getting weaves to be young or just to fit in, like the other color said, which I kind of agree with, and now black men are Doing it for a whole different reason, I absolutely agree with most of you. I feel this is. I feel like this is different this even with the Blackstone I'm 52. So I don't mind telling you I'm 52.. When I was younger, I actually did um wear weave at one point. I wear my natural hair now and I've worn it the majority of like 90 of My Life um, but I have I'm not gon na say that I've never worn weed and it was a hairstyle one time it was to have a thicker hairstyle, but it was Not to be younger right, it was I want to maybe do a different look right. I think a lot of black women are using um. They share the change of style. Some black women are uncomfortable with their hair, somewhat. Women have fabric situations where they damage their hair, so you were talking about this earlier about alopecia track, alopecia um, damaging with those chemicals. So that's a little bit of devastating and once they damage their scalp. They cancel then there's stuff where they needed a week, so that you do have that where they truly have to do it, but I don't think it's about looking young, it's about getting internet aesthetic right. I think this is truly. This is to me to me it's a crime to me, it's a big, it's a social Cry for Help going on, and I I think that for those people who are confronted with people doing this, it's time to sit down - and I you know you don't have To if you don't want to, but when you see your when you see somebody pop up with waves and they had that bald spot, it's time to sit down and ask them what's going on because another thing I put this tweet out, I said another thing: black Men need to watch out for is having a scout that is not prepared for this late in life, meaning many black women know a lot more about their heads, because this has been a social part of being a black woman from when you were 15.. So you know what you're allergic to you know what glues you want. You know what uh, whether you want to glue it all. You know what how long you can keep it in black men are coming into this like babies, so they letting this young man who's likely a high school graduate. Barber do all this stuff to the head and they have no idea the question they're supposed to be asking. First of all, what kind of weave are you putting in where's it from where is it from what's under it? They don't even know, let alone knowing how to sleep when it all knowing how to sweat with it. All you gon na see somebody at the gym and then a piece gon na slide off I'm Gon na. Let You Go. I got ta [ __ ], you! Oh man, thank you, so they don't know that they can't swim with this. Somebody gon na come in the chat and say you can swim with your tone. So again, this tweet says another thing black men need to watch out for is having a scout. That is not prepared for this really late in life. Many women have likely matured their scalp with hairstyles, since they were youth. You know all kind of thing: coloring relaxing things that we just don't do, whereas with black men, your scalp is not prepared for this glue and chemicals at 50 for the first time. So you know a lot of y'all need to be getting this alive. You know get you some multivitamins make sure your vitamins is right, because maybe that's why it's so dry up there, I'm not joking. When I said you need some biotin get you some biotin get. Don'T nobody want to just put no super growing and just call me put you some super grow in and just see what grow up there and be happy with that. Look at this you need a little Super Girl. I ain't saying that it's gon na grow to that, but this will be healthy. Can we talk about it? Everybody think I'm joking, but I'm serious greens eat your vegetables. Take Your Greens, if you're not so this is actually signaling a lot of things, but you want to cover that up. Let'S take another caller caller, what's your name where you calling from foreign, so I got some uh chat that happened under the thread. If somebody says time to just shave it off, this is Under The Tweak thread that initially started the show to be clear. You can go over to Twitter and see it. This tweet right here watch out for this out. There looks very unsafe and far too expensive. The languages they call it a unit and make it acceptable um the other thing so so, basically, these people were saying somebody said he's creating a whole sugar, daddy Brigade uh. Somebody else had a real good one. They said all that glue and chemicals being put on this. His scalp can't be healthy before you go and I'm I want you to think about what you want to say. I want to show this one more time, or at least part of it. My name is Adrian: the barber I've been doing uh Manwich for about three years now, and I've been cutting hair for a total of 10 years. So the first step that we're gon na do all the time is we're gon na draw his hairline uh. This is the most important part, because once you put the glue and the hair down, you really can't move it. I'M just gon na go and I'm gon na cut his hair down. We'Re gon na give yourself a clean Foundation. We'Re going to clean the scalp with alcohol so that way, when we go and we lay the glue down, it's it's going down on a perfect surface, or is it really going to last the longest the scalp protecting goes on after that, and then I use my Ghost Bond lace, wig adhesive, so I use air glue. I laid That Base the uh the wrap down, and I just blow dried it there's really not any special tools. Uh most of the stuff that we're using is stuff. That'S already been used in The Barbershop when it comes to our Clippers, our Sears things like that in the barbershop. You know the things that we're really bringing in that are new to us as Barbers is like the adhesives um, the scalp protectants, the things like that. The hair that we're using you see that stuff a lot more in like this for three months. This is what they call Sweat durable, so it can really stand up to a lot more moisture, the units they last anywhere from uh one week all the way up to two months. If you get somebody to really take care of their units, still gon na look a property a little bit um. It really just like to look like you need a haircut foreign. We get that look. So we go from this to this. Oh caller, uh. What do you think about this whole thing? Give me your take so we're just looking at this. This brother applies multiple types of adhesives that this man's natural scalp after he shaved down his head. So, on top of all of that, he couldn't tell you because again, as you said, he's just trying to make a living day to day or whatnot of charging. You know everyday Joe's on products that he doesn't know where they come from what they're composed of. But it's a bad, it's a treat and I think you hit on something when you say it or what we're doing this just for the apps, and the thing is: is that we're evolving and a lot of times? You know people look to us to check the trains for what a rest of America is going to do and that's exactly what's happening and I think the previous callers hit onto something is that when they were talking about the brother whose brothers are trying to recapture Their that is exactly what what's happening. You don't have this ability, as you've already thought of three generations of a possession, so you're going to try to go back to being that guy with your team when he was in his prime when he was 20 25 and it's fine but you're now, 50.. And if we see that when you show that to us we're on covid when we saw P Diddy doing what not being able to use his Beijing - and that was the interesting thing home that put out as you were doing, you know, this breakdown is that they Didn'T show The Barber declines of Beijing to the brothers, but they did show them applying the the fake hair. That is, as you showed, in your text, in your tweet that were European and Latin and Latin Latino or whatever you know of sort but they're showing us. Couldn'T you know it's eurocentric, there's Latin hair on our heads or whatever, because I had not knowing what it's composed level, what not we're trying to recapture you to get the attention of a woman who wants what a young viral black man or whatnot, not an old Black man who's now transitioning, oh, what not but we're seeing how all of this is really the perpetuation of what you've been telling us it's it's what's become. I mean we're really seeing it, and this is actually the exact same time. Read it in the headlines. Black Adolf women are having their children kidnapped, while they're trying to drive ordering lips. You know when they're going to pick up the food their babies are being kidnapped. Black men are now trying to get Prosthetics and weeds put into their head. This is happening at the same time when Adolf doctors, it's Harlem or whatever or walking through you, know, neighborhoods or whatever, or being kids or being killed or whatnot or whatever by people who are coming here. You know I'm in New York City, I'm in Harlem and the things recently this week is that we're being murdered, we're being murdered by people. You know who are coming here or whatnot, but we're still seeing that of all the [ __ ] and then, but what is catching on is: oh, let's get a weed, let's get a hair product or whatever, to help us recapture our youth. When we're seeing that our our family structure, everything that we need to really make sense of Our Lives on a day-to-day basis, is, being you know, attached a chapter Edition this once upon a time in your life, if you just invest a thousand dollars, I mean, if You think about it. He said if the average black Adolf family is making 20 26 000 a year whatever to get a thousand dollars in liquid is not it's not hard, but once you get it, if you decide to invest it in that, what's that really going to get you? Let me say this: I would I would just I would just push back. It is hard it just you just got to not pay no bills, so basically you're gon na go without paying your rent, okay, you're gon na. Go that ain't really the right yeah. So it is hard, but it's just like crazy. You would be that yes, but but adopts any other group in America, Antonio, they are more primed to put up that sacrifice before any other group. S will give up and we can see that Illustrated in what we look at the Wiz made in what 1970, whatever or 19. You know the early 1970s and they said what you know, what it will give you those ate off. They say: oh, what I'll give a one-week fee so you're right, so we will sacrifice paying our bills. We will sacrifice paying the date today in order to get what to look good understand what that means. There was one thing that I learned when I moved to Harlem. They said that the some Adolf people, the white people, whatever at the time they would deliberately come to Harlem and drive down any Avenue on Sundays as a spectacle just to watch our ancestors dressing their Sunday find it because it was the Odyssey just to see that So you're right, don't sacrifice that see that evening when you look at how all the other types of entertainment have been exploited from our communities and we see how like things like um like that poll series or whatever there's really based on New York City, let me Let me let me let me give it let me get in here. I know I know I know this got you uh heated up. I just got a full cue I want to get in. I mean I thought your your phone was found. Man, I want to let you go, but thank you so much for uh telling us everything that you said. I'M definitely gon na have that in the final edit you was powerful, bro whoa, sorry for having to cut him off. I just got a full q and I want to give everybody a chance to speak. I think he understood that, but before I get to the next caller come coming right now. I want everybody to understand this glue. It'S just bad for your head, but they put the glue and the tape and the stocking then some more glue on your head and there's some heat glowing. Hair on is serious and can have ramifications. You could be paying thousands. You don't have to give yourself a medical condition. You can't afford all to look young for a week again we're dealing with men who likely have no life insurance, have no retirement and and sometimes don't have no Health Care putting this stuff on their head to have waves in some cases, while they have cavities, let Alone, just missing teeth in the back or even the front. Countless blonde star of The Parkers reveals suffering from scalp infections due to lace. Wigs in the video she explained that the glue she used to keep the wigs in place is what caused a severe allergic reaction on her skin goes back to my point. So many black men have not done these kind of services and they have no idea what they're allergic to they have no idea the questions. They should be asking about the chemicals being put on their head. They have no idea how they should be getting to the details about this hair because the women a lot of time bring their own hair. You letting some a high school guy put some stuff in your head. You don't know where it came from the laziness. You use for hair cutting you can't use with man, wheat. Let me say it again, because everybody in the chat y'all should get lit, fired up about this. The laziness you use with haircuts. You can't do that with man weaves, you need to be like uh. What'S in that uh dude, let me read it: oh I'm allergic to that. I can't use that glue. You need to know where that hair comes from I'm gon na get into it, because I think it's the scraps personally. They calling it uh some kind of a good hair, but it's the scraps. I think it appears that when she's removing the okay, let me read it again in the video she explained that the glue she used to keep the wigs in place is what causes severe allergic reaction on her skin and scalp after five years of wearing them. She says that also caused her severe skin discoloration to the point where some people might have accused her of skin bleaching. It appears that when removing the lace front wigs installed with glue, you remove a thin layer of skin every time you every time whether you take off the wig to switch up the styles to readjust it. So you could be snatching off skin when you go to snatch this thing up or just for a breather, and it was this that caused Countess Von severe infections. I believe this is somebody who's, probably changing them regularly. You'Re gon na put that in your head for weeks at a time, go sweat and everything else hair will grow without being able to get the proper air. You think that you're gon na be all right. You'Re not gon na have lesions and all kind of things on your head. This is unnecessary. This is craze. This is foreign. We can't do this, I mean I don't know. I don't know how to put this Taj Mah rejects shout out to you. I'M surprised. People have not become more conscious when it comes to pulling glue on the scalp, especially after the given effects of it had on some people using lace, front. Wigs other symptoms include hives, General Scout reactions swelling and in extreme cases, trouble swallowing and breathing glue on the hair can potentially block the pores in your scalp damage your hair follicles and even cause an allergic reaction in some some people report that they get headaches and Bald areas on the scalp so you're out here trying to get ways that'll, give you headaches, we rock it and we rolling like we on the ship come on Colin. What'S your name where you calling from hello? Can you hear me? Yes, I hear you give me your take on this with African-Americans there's this highest desires state in our you know to stay in the youth and State University, and I think it's time to just get over it and move on right. It'S like going to sit around and talk about all you know who is the greatest rapper who created MBA career right. I think those things are Ridiculousness that are actually attracted people from what's actually important. In today's time I mean to send 900 on something like that. Nothing so ridiculous toilet man. Thank you so much for coming, I'm gon na come to another caller. Thank you great call, caller. What'S your name where you calling from Fayetteville North Carolina our floor is yours for two minutes Christian, I got a whole full Q. I want to hear what you got to say about this uh try to talk a little louder into the phone, so everybody can hear you because you always come with it sure no problem so um I'll say it like this. I think a lot of the call is a nail on the head. I want to add something that I want the audience to kind of understand, just from a young person's perspective about 22 right um. This is extremely dangerous for the next generation and it's not necessarily because, like priority that my painters may have been in real estate for years and years and years ended up losing everything that we're getting screwed over by a bank. However, in the middle of that my father um, when he was younger, he used to ride motorcycles and do Motorsports and different things like that. So, while we're in the middle of my are going through, a foreclosure doesn't bother purchase, purchase a motorcycle, and on top of that we have that we had two jet games that needed just had time went on. They lost the house trying to get my own house. He was going to give me a thousand dollar cash, get turned out. She just had a small emergency come up. He actually told me forget to give back to him and I had to hit up my own to 1400, so I could actually close all the time. So why am I saying that the the generation of Performing you know generates and so forth? What you're, not understanding is when your third skills in regarding civilian failure like low 950 on this, some kids are going to the blood clots on the tables were against different jobs. So so everybody out here, they're gon na, buy that kid a card everybody told me they gon na buy that kid, a car to fill their own ego up. But when it's time they getting a man weave, can we talk? Yay man, hey man, I I got ta, let you go cause. I got a full cube man, you dropped, it, don't drop it like that, no more powerful! Let'S take another caller. We got a full Q. Everybody wants to get in calling. What'S your name, are you calling from me that brother just left me speechless? I don't know if I have anything to say but um I will say this um. I can't draw conclusions or why men want to do that, but um they really do need to look at, like you said, read the labels and of the ingredients because there it well for women. There is an association between hair dyes and relaxers and endocrine disruptors. So I'm wondering if these types of toxins hold on hold on one second hold on one second, somebody's leaving with a motorcycle, and this is a little loud. I want to make sure everybody gets to hear you so uh start back uh at at after the brother. I know if I broke your broke your flow, but I just want to make sure everybody hears you not a problem. My concern is: is that certain chemicals like in in women's mainly black women and you've, seen or read about some of the studies about endocrine disruptors from relaxers and dyes and all kinds of other chemicals that we use for personal care? This may be the case for our men as well going down the line. There may be some association with elevated risks of prostate cancers and all kinds of uh uh disruptors in their body. So you know, hopefully some of these men will think twice before getting these products in their hair and there's the social media is pushing it they're pushing this I've seen older men, I've seen younger men, I'm a boomer and the men and my man, you know he Just cut his hair off, you know he's not going to be wearing no with wigs weaves or man buns. It'S not like that with him, but some men will and then. The final thing I do want to say is that if these um procedures are fifteen hundred dollars or more a week, we got to remember that medium income, medium weekly income for black men, is only 900 and um. That'S gross 922! That'S gross too! That'S not! It'S! Not it's it's! You know it's probably more like, because if it's a household, these people are making 600 a week income after you take out all them taxes. You know five six hundred dollars a week and then they spending this money on this and that's the middle. I understand that's the middle so and I want to read something to you just to go to your point. Blackdoctor.Org. I don't believe a doctor wrote this, but it seems like it's pretty valid from what I'm reading and a cursory read. What'S the danger, glue, extensions or double-sided tape, which we saw both of in that video are often used with popular Lace, Wigs, Unfortunately, they can cause damage that is often permanent. The glue can block your scalp pores and damage your hair follicles, as well as burn and dry out your hair, heavy extensions, pull on your scalp, resulting in thinning hair. It'S difficult to clean your scalp with glue extensions and, and it creates unhealthy hair, because your hair is growing under there for the next like three to four weeks and it can't get air or anything. Sometimes, hair extensions can cause headaches and bald spots. What are the symptoms? The most common symptoms of dermatitis or scalp allergies is the appearance of red itchy raised hair, and you got to realize what is the likelihood that a man who just spent a thousand dollars to do this, let alone maybe flew somewhere or something else and drove somewhere To get this done, it's going to take it out if he feels this, this, the high acute hives arise quickly and can last up to six weeks and again. I really think that the relationship between the and I'm being General, when I say this between the black man and his Barber, has been built on a kind of an easy goingness that you can grow your hair back at any time if he messes up when you Go down this road, you got to be much more detailed and I don't know if many of you have the socialization from sleeping with your you remember this: how many people got a mama that slept like this on the couch uh, the Water uh getting wet uh? No reading the chemicals or before telling the barber that I'm gon na bring my own piece letting knowing where the Pieces come from. You um, let me say: let me say thank you so much for calling in I'm got a full kill. You brought it in um. Somebody named Melanie hammy X. He made a point that a lot of black men use to justify this. You know it's funny being an attorney. Uh ignorance to the law is not a defense. Neither is telling somebody saying somebody else did the same thing with both y'all were, but nonetheless I don't think this is the same thing. You know this is exactly the same thing. Women have been wearing for the last. Maybe two decades right question mark it's ridiculous. Yes, but it's literally the exact same thing in the same process. What I will push back on is first, I would say, any cause, scalp issues. We already talked about that in our thread. Their hair processes also have evolved because they've been doing this so long. Where and I'm being generous when I say this - that I have a basic cursory knowledge using braids to then put the hair week onto using all kind of techniques now they use even wigs where they put they, they have their hair. They have a thing over it and then they have a wig, that's removable and they take that off daily. That, like you, know, there's a whole set. But I come back to my theory that black men are doing it for a whole different purpose, because even when you look up man weave versus weave, it's young women are just making their hair longer versus older men that have very severe balding using it. To look young again, that's a very different, like goal, I'm not even seeing, because if it was the same goal, why aren't you seeing men that have full hair doing it? While all the pictures show up man who don't have hair getting hair talk about it? Why are they all older again? They have something for you, guys that don't know called the Norwood scale. James Hamilton introduced the scale to measure the stages of male pattern baldness in the 50s uh Dr Norwood then significantly improve the scale of the 70s. The Norwood scale defines seven stages of baldness, with specific models for each type of baldness. Again, if you look at this picture, what do you see you see exactly what's on this Norwood scale at different levels? So, let's go look at this Norwood scale stage. One of the Norwood scale is the control stage. People in stage one of male part pattern. Bonds, still have a full head of hair with little to no signs of baldness or receding hairline stage. Two in stage two there's only slight evidence of a receding. Hairline generally around the temples - and it's at that stage at that stage two stage: three - that maybe some Biotin make sure you get your vitamins in you, because you guys, because the other thing that this some of these hairstyles represent is a is a commitment so like When you get this, it's a commitment that you're reflecting the other people that you put into your hair, and you didn't have that commitment. You had a commitment for this. So now you don't know how the ability to maintain this, because you have maintained this, which is just you just get up and just do that in the morning nah it's different with this. It'S cocoa butter, it's all kind of creams and you can't get the cheap stuff come on stage. Let'S jump down stage, six, someone with Stage six! That'S this right here ball! This is now mostly balled on the front and top of the head. The two ball areas now joined together and there is no stripper patch. So it goes from this to this to this m to the little bit of balls in the back a little bit of more bald in the back five as ball, and then it starts to connect. And then it's fully bald, like George Jefferson, uh stage. Seven by stage seven, the bonus also begins to affect the sides of the head on until only a thin ring of hair encircles, the outside of the head, so Norwood's classification of male pattern, operation, alipation, I'm sorry, uh, normal hair, follicle follicle, shrinks over time. Very small follicle results in baldness, so that's the scientific background, but that's why they cut it like it's almost like a stage, seven in the Norwich scale, and then they put this this this odd kind of hair on top and we'll get into that in a second. Where this comes from, but call it what's your name where you calling from what's up rich, give me a take on it five years old, I have a full afro. I didn't do what they're doing so. I know it so, like you say you said age thing and these cats here are doing it. For I don't know what I mean, it doesn't make any sense to go out here and put Bay here and just shave it down like Michael Jordan and keep it moving and keep the money in their pockets. You know what I'm saying so yeah I mean they. Don'T even have the money A lot of times, I don't know what's going on. I think you know we're dealing with a very significant kind of social craze that comes off of adarshness and the lack of wealth and then rap and hip-hop, and how I developed didn't help as much either and there's going to be a real consequence to bear. As Generation X ages out and they don't age out well um earlier go ahead; no! No! No! No! I'M gon na talk about it in a second. With my you know, and and again the units are being up charged by The Barbers. You go on Amazon, which is where these people I mean either Amazon or they don't know they don't go to the place and have straight connections so that then they charge twice as much and then they up charge. You a whole lot with the install, but I I'll keep listening. I'M gon na go into that and explain that in a second. Let me take another call: hey. My name is Ellie Thomas, I'm quite in Texas, I'm a licensed Barber, okay, okay by the FDA, because he also in my little perspective, agencies. Nba. All of these products are harmful. They will invigorate the scalp from the dull of the hair, which is where all the oils and the nutrients, the sulfur the protein carotene it's being held these typical, like all that down over time. It does cause male pattern. Bones come on so before we do this procedures because it is considered a complex decision, but it's a procedure. A lot of these a lot of through the Texas department of licenses and regulations should be changed because of these reasons, but because industry is so big billions of dollars that they basically caught up, which is not a we go to the Barber College District out of High school straight out of Cleveland, sometimes straight out of collections, because we're keeping up that's what it is economically we're trying to keep up so, regardless of our current safety like a dollar right. So this procedure - and I and I have a good friend of mine for five hundred dollars, so this is not even a 950.1200. No, it ain't even that high 350. to 500 with procedure. So three of these at next that's fifteen hundred dollars. Let'S make a fourth grade, two hundred dollars, that's short on Friday, we'll work later on Saturday sounds like aeos problems. Right so like you need those reparations now huh. Certainly when I said you need to be advocated for policy and for legislation. A lot of times understand probably fails with you. He said the the dude that putting this on the on your head probably failed. The chemical part of his Barber License. That'S it. You ain't, hey, we're, not letting you say nothing else, bruh that brother is Barbara. It came with the fire and I let him run because I was I was unsure what direction he was going in. I want to give everybody a chance to speak, but the direction he went into is saying you need to be questioning. What'S going on to your head, you need to be looking at what are the motivations of the person? That'S putting this on your head. We out here putting these man weaves on that was fire. I had to stop. You don't think I hung up on you. I stopped you because that was where you just stopped off. That'S where you do your Sammy Davis, yo Stevie, Wonder You just leave it Godly that caller came with you Carla. What'S your name? Are you coming from yeah? What up north? Let me uh.

Caroline S.: I’m dumbfounded that you actually squeezed a whole hour long discussion out of this topic, Tone! You managed to make it funny and poignant at the same damn time.

S N: One more thing, you don't even have to put glue on your scalp for that hair to be allergic to it and breakage period from the material it's made of. So glue or no glue, the hair by itself can break you out, or present hair breakage & allergic reaction. from a experienced use wigs, braids, weaves and bulk hair for locs, & braiding styles.

LadyMarie J: I didn't know where this conversation was going but I'm glad you addressed it! **The unit last 1 week to a month** Does this mean that we will see men walking around patting their heads

S N: I can't remember what year it was when Harvard did a study on the use of synthetic, human hair, the types of hair materials, how it being used, treated, and the subjects who uses the different types of hair extensions & the effects it causes or can cause? I'm not sure if it was just about black women in this study? I believe so. I need to look that up, I ran across it by accident on YouTube some years ago. If anyone finds it let me know, thanks.

rrmond: We done went from Soul Glow to Sewed Glue. Smh

MoneyOverFame: Got a $800 toupee on, but doesn't have dental insurance. LOL.

Tony Blaylock: We don't have the financial security to do this BS!

Vincent McCoy: when ppl say rent is to high just tell them they exchanged it for a high top fade

Shark Simms: As a baldheaded brother, I would never do some stuff like this. I also don’t understand how you can give females a pass, saying they do it for different reasons. Both parties are unhappy with their selves and trying to look like something else. At least the men are in putting blonde lace front wigs and weaves upon their heads but I can say both parties are delusional as hell for doing this.

Cynneque Moore: Big ups to Tone for doing the work to lace chucks on these trans-generational quadruple og’s

KEVIN GARRIS: In fairness Tone, not everyone can afford to obtain a passport and travel internationally to date young women. Some will need to deceive young women domestically as to their true age.

Byron Evans: They are gonna learn, shaking my head.

S N: Most of us men & women don't have the nutrients from our food anymore so our skin & hair suffering from the lack of foods, vitamins, nutrients, zinc, Folate and more. Think about it? Most of our fruits are now seedless meaning no more nutrients from the fruits and vegetables anymore.

ZOAR: Feminine energy!

S N: My handsome brothers that may feel insecure, buy the coolest hats and caps you can find & be fine and healthy

mark holt: We're even more far gone than I could have EVER imagined!

guesswho1: OMG... I just thought about it. What if black men start suing their blacl barbers for these male weaves???? Just a thought.......

Michael Adams: Looking back at all the failures in an attempt to recapture a lost time. Wealthlessness creates all sorts of foolishness Aging gracefully requires wealth as well as setting up future generations.

daniel alston: I had to get my daughter's car fixed before the holiday so she can go to work. Who has money for this stuff?

Steven Dunn: If you're going bald, just own it.

guesswho1: This is so funny.....but because real ppl are going through it, it really isn't funnyy at all.

Ricodabodyguard22: When I hear, "Someone has a unit on," it's longer talking about a brother who's "mean-muggin'".

Green Byrdd: All those chemicals directly on your skin! The biggest excretory organ of your body. Ewww!!!!

The Collective Pow: Yo. Break it all the way down. “Fix them teeth, so you can eat a steak”.

Deborah🌴🌹: Escapism. “Scalp protectant”

Christopher Parker: WTF....dudes wasting their money and putting their health at risk for a "male lace front". When a new scam becomes popular we gravitate to it to participate...smdh. Buy the way I'm ‍.....

ZOAR: My people are destroyed because of ignorance!

S N: They are gluing electrical materials to their heads. Because the locks their buying cuts your own natural hair like copper wire or like some type sauding materials and I also believe that you can be electrically charge & that can hazardous as along with the glue that chemically seeps into to your scalp and skin causing a host of health problems. And if I'm right about the hair being electrically charge, can you be stimulated by wifi with this wire types of hair just thinking out loud and questioning things?

AmySue: Who would even get this when they could just go for the Michael Jordan look?

Harriet Tubman’s Shotgun: That unsorted hair looks so unsanitary

Dame Davis: Dude been walking around a good ten yrs wit thinning hair and loose teeth, he thinks putting a lace front on will solve it all,☺️...

guesswho1: Another thought. I wonder if Chris Rock will make a movie about this????

IHSM: To me Man Weave is MOST DEFINITELY FEMININE. STRAIGHT UP GAY.

Daniel Watson: Babies are bald. If those guys are trying to present themselves as younger, they could go for that babyface look. I think they're just following in the footsteps of his lady friends. (gender confusion)

Sandi Girl: Some men will do anything to get to

GymBeast Fitness: No one mentioned that these men appear have gone bald prematurely. Looks like they are addressing the fact that they look older than they are. IJS

Rika Peachy: It looks dirty but all weave starts in some place like that overseas. Waste of money…I’ve been loc’d for a year

Slim Charles: Damn this is crazy

d c: If the hair is long, then this is feminine

MoneyOverFame: lmaooo yo look at how much glue he putting in son head. 9:16

De jns: Did you notice how men started after women started. Competing with women.

Truth Hertz432: I’ve tried to do susu’s $250 per month @10ppl, pot $2500 folks say they don’t have it but will spend $1200 on hair alone and a trip to Mx ‍♀️. At this point slavery is a choice. Good show Tone!!

Marion Acoff: Litigate? Naw they will assasinate

Byron Evans: Brain DAMAGE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wayne Mazique: Reminds me of "I'm Seeing Robots" by Kool Keith

Solar Cognac: What ever happen to Soul Grow ‍♂️?

Marquell Martin: Men weave? lol this is crazy

Maurice Brown: Tone I'm crying in the first two minutes

Marion Acoff: Comb waste and lice!

Sandra Green: no way

JaEl Axiom: I call em Bro Fronts...

Sandra Green: Yes he did

Jerry Samuels: I see no difference in a wig, weave or toupee. And I think all 3 should be reasonable grounds for a divorce in a marriage.

AmySue: Can you play basketball in these? I'm asking for a friend.

Boomer Hooked:

MoneyOverFame: 9:58. lol had son looking like Milli Vanilli lol

Marion Acoff: I see dead peoples hair

Jake Snider: Lol I know who your talking about!

DerekMusic57: FOH you close up all your pause on your Crown Chakra Great talk T.

Stephanie Bozeman: Cut the check

TheDarealest71:

Steven Thomas: Unity ADOS

Oneshot: Show tariq

Diana Soleil: Not all black people have course hair. Some of us have smooth or silk textured hair. The courses hair on the planet is asaian people. Some white people have course hair, Some Hispanic people have course hair.

Chris Stevens: Tariq??
