Crocheted Box Braids- Rubberband / Non Rubberband Method- @Irenesbraids

TO ORDER PRECISION COMBS⬇️

https://irenesbraids.com

Hi guys, here's a much longer & detailed video of how I was able to achieve boxbraids on my client. The goal of this video is to show how you can still perfect box braids on shorter hair and not lose braids while wearing this look. I've used the rubber band method to hold her natural hair in place, then crocheted a small piece of braiding hair through the section to help gain a better hold of the hair. Before applying the rubber band to the hair please make sure you dip the rubber band in hair oil all over the band before applying it to the hair so that it doesn't cause breakage.

So, I am using the crochet method again for the 1st half of this video & after I will show you how to add a braid without using the rubberband method. I've taken the time to read your comments wanted to do a longer video for you all.

Hi guys, Thank you so much for watching my video.

I am the owner of (Irene's Braids) located in Duluth, GA. I'm always accepting new clients. I work out of my own private Salon Suite.

Hi guys it's Irene's phrase here and I am back with another video, a more detailed and slower video by the way, all right guys, let's get started so pretty much. I used the shining Jam extra hole conditioning gel to rub on her scalp and rub on the rubber bands. I used edge wax to help you know bring in the edges and bring in the smaller hairs that we want to look nice and pretty. That helps. Do that and we have our handy dandy, crochet tool can't go wrong with that, so pretty much. Those are the products that I use and I went ahead and grabbed some black rubber bands to help part out the hair, and I am pretty much going to show you the braiding hair that I like to use. There'S long as this expressions it's fine, I don't like using Kanekalon, but this type of collective kanekalon, braiding hair. I don't mind using it's kind of resembles expressions, so that's why I used it, but I do not like the three four five dollar Kanekalon hair. I don't really like that one, but this brain is really good and then of course, you're gon na need a rat tail comb to help part out your sections get those nice clean parts and we are going to get started alright guys so pre-much brought the shiny, Jim over the clients hair, you want to rub it through her scalp that way it helps soothe. It makes it feel good. My clients love when I do that, just comb through the hair and make sure it's just nice and clean I've already pre soaked. My rubber bands in oil and by using this shiny Jam, allows it to have more product on the rubber band which helps it. You know stays in the clients hair for the time that they choose to keep it in. I say no longer than 30 days. You should keep this style and no looking in 30 days, and you definitely want to wait two weeks before you start to style it alright guys so pretty much. What I did here is, I wrap the rubber band only four times that is it you're going to wrap four times, because what that does is it allows you to not place the rubber band in too tight? You do not want it tight, it will hurt, it will cause bumps and it definitely causes too much tension. You do not want that so you're going to wrap the rubber band only four times that is it okay guys. So that's pretty much. What I'm doing here! Four times all right guys, I want to continue part, not my section, so please continue watching alright guys, so my client had a short cut at the bottom of her hair and she wants to grow her hair back out that bottom row that we did. I could not reprimand method that row. It was entirely too short, so I only rubberband the second row at the top all right, so the bottom row was not rubberband method. I actually braided those in without rubber bands. Okay, so pretty much. All of our sections are done. We have rubber band everything. It was only rubber band in four times each, like I stated before so please make sure that you're careful when you're doing this style, alright guys so I've taken a thin piece of the crochet. I'M sorry not crochet, but expressions, braiding, hair or the connecting line hair and what I did was is I'm crocheting it through very easily, and this is why I say: wear out four times, because only when you wrap four times you're able to crochet the hair and Very easily and it does not hurt the client at all or yourself if you're doing these on yourself, it will not hurt you at all. So I'm going to show you how I did that and I'm going to show you one more time. So that way, you understand how I did that method, so please stay tuned to keep watching, okay, guys so pretty much. I grabbed three pieces of braiding hair and I am going to make my rate that I'm looking for the consistency that I'm looking for so just pretty much take three pieces and the consistency that you're okay with for the size. Braids that you want and you are going to get ready to braid so pretty much. The reason why I crocheted that thin piece of hair through is because I want to pretend that that is the clients hair that is more length on her hair, which will allow me to get a better hold of her hair. So, using that thin piece of expressions hair helps me get a balance and that's why I crocheted that piece in like that. The first video, the method that I showed you guys a lot of people were not able to grip their hair good doing it on themselves. So what I did was is, I said, okay, well, let me figure out another method. Let me figure out another way, and I figured this way out because of another video that I did on a client who had alopecia, I crocheted in a thin piece of braiding hair through the neck and I'm braided on top of that thin piece. So that way it can hold the braid in place. So that's where I got the method from off of another video that I did so like. I said before we're going to imagine that this is the clients hair, so that that extra piece helps us get a better balance and I'm going to begin my braid okay guys. So yes, this is pretty much harder than method where the hair is longer at the top. I will not be doing the rubberband method. I would just part out my parts and I will actually braid the hair and regularly. This method is only for the areas that are shorter and you want your braids to stay in for the whole timeframe that you're wearing your box braids. So this is pretty much why I do this method. I know that this method may not make sense to a lot of people, but it does make sense for those who hair shorter and they want to wear box braids, but then, after paying almost $ 200 or, however much people pay these days, your braids are slipping Out or you know, you got braids fall on the floor. You know nobody has time for that. So pretty much. I am excited to bring this method to the table, just to show women how you two can still get these braids done on you're, shorter hair and it stays so. This is why I decided to show this method so for those that this method does make sense for yeh. You know, hopefully this method will work for you, so let's keep watching all right guys. So listen! Please do not judge me for my ripped Cape for my client. I have washed this Cape with my towels at work in it just got a little ripped today. So please not judge me for it. Okay, so I'm gon na show you how to take this method out, so we're gon na just snip below where your natural hair would start snip below that and then you're going to just unravel the braid until you get to the top from where we started. Just like so and as you unravel it, it's going to easily come out. That'S the hair we use and then you're going to just slide out that thin piece of Kanekalon here or expressions hair. Whatever you choose to use just slide, that thin piece out that we use to help grip and then you're going to pull up the rubberband. Stick your finger in between it to get a good hold and just take your scissors and cut it out and you're going to pull away from your natural hair. That way, you don't cut your hair and just gently slide it out, and that is pretty much how you take this method down. Okay, so that is pretty much how you install and uninstall the rubber bad method, crochet box braids. So before I let you guys go. I wanted to let you know that while I was doing my clients hair, I was finishing up with her hair and it just came to me another way that I can just show you guys how to do this method without using a rubber band. So what I wanted to do was is, I wanted to add that clip at the end of this video, for the clients or for the women who don't care for rubber bands, and you just don't want to use them. That'S absolutely! Okay - and I I pretty much found another way to do them so that way it could help you so please stay tuned at the end of this video. You will see that clip okay, thank you guys so much for watching alright guys. So here we are. This is where I will show you how to do the non rubber band method for your box birds. So, yes, what I did here is for her first two bottom rows. I parted them out in squares. I was not able to do the triangle parts the way that I like to do them, so we went ahead and did just regular parts at the bottom, and then we did the triangle parts for the remaining of her head. She'S gon na be wearing her braids down, so she was okay with me doing this method for her. So we're just gon na take a small piece of braiding hair and we are going to braid in that piece of hair. On top of her natural hair, you don't want to brake too tightly because it can, you know it can make it hard for the crochet method, the crocheted tool not to go through. So what I did was I split the hair up into twos. So that way I can easy glide my crochet needle through, and I just braid him in lightly, and I am NOT going to braid it all the way. I'M just braiding it in just a few times and I'm gon na stop just like so, and I'm going to get a nice piece of braiding hair, just pretty much make it into the consistency that you're looking for. As far as the braid to design your braid. That you would like - and so I've got my piece that I would like to use and I am going to part them into twos and then from there I'm going to split it into three so that I can begin my braid. Please stay tuned, you alright guys! So that's pretty much how I was able to install the braid without using a rubber band. I really hope that this method works for you guys. This is my first time doing this method. I thought of this method today, while doing my clients hair. So I wanted to add this clip at the end of the video just to just you know, throw it in there. Let you guys see it see what you think. So just leave me your feedback. Let me know what worked for you and again. Thank you. So much for watching
