Do Hair With Me // Hand Tied Weft Extensions After Traumatic Hair Experience

My client had a horrible experience with her hair over the summer and we spent months trying to get it healthier. After 4 months we finally added in some extensions to help blend all of the breakage. If you're a stylist looking to learn this method, we would love to have you at one of our upcoming Harlow Hair Extensions classes!

Hey guys, okay, it's so early! It'S like 6:30, I'm starting my first client today at 7:00 a.m. this is right before Christmas, and I have a new install and I thought this one would be a really good one to like film for you guys. So this client came to me, probably in like the summer time and her hair was really really damaged, so she had had her whole head bleach, like kind of on accident like she usually got highlights she went somewhere else and that person was like. Oh, that would take a really long to touch up your highlights, so instead, I think we should just bleach just put bleach on yourself. So that's what they did, because my client was like: okay, I'll just do whatever she recommends, but she bleached over all of her hair that was already previously lightened. So she got a ton, a ton of damage. So she originally came to me sometime over this summer. For an extension consultation, but her sides were so broken off. They were like above her cheek. Like I mean they were like right at her ear on the sides and then in the back. Her hair was like probably it's too like right past her shoulders, and I personally don't like to do extensions on someone until their hair, all the sizes, at least to their cheek, especially if they're going for any type of length, because it's impossible to blend and whether Or not, I can make it look nice when someone's here at the salon, like it's much easier for me than for a client to be doing at home, and I just know that they're not going to be able to style it okay at home, long term. So it's better to just get your hair healthy and wait so she's been coming in, we've been doing all the pipes, treatments we've hardly been lightening it like barely touching up her Ridge, she's been super patient with me and now. Finally, in December, it's been a couple months now, it's probably been like four or five months, we're gon na be putting it some extension that she's had a lot of girl. I think her sides are now, I think, closed circle, cheek or like bottom of her chin or whatever they're a lot longer. We'Re not going. I'Ve already talked with her that, like we're, not gon na be able to get like hair as long as mine, just like blending wise, but we will be able to get some length on there and we're gon na keep it as long as we can, and I Thought this one would be a really cool up to show, because it's been like a really interesting process. I'M gon na insert a photo of her hair. The first time she came to me, as I did take a photo somewhere here and that way you can see kind of where we started back in the summer and then I'm going to show you kind of where we're starting today and then I'll show you the Process and I'll show you the ending, and I think y'all are really gon na like this one. Okay, the lighting is so bad because of these stupid lights, but it's dark outside, so we have to do it, but I'm gon na insert a picture of your hair before too so people can see like how far it's come. So she's had a lot of growth on her side. That'S so much better! So now we're about at her chin level and then the back is actually pretty nice. It'S actually pretty long, and over here this side has grown a lot as well. So we've been hardly hardly highlighting it just to keep it as healthy as we can, so it's growing out really well, I feel like it's definitely time to do highlights, though I think it's been a while right yeah and we also have done a smoothing treatment to Help because she's got some wave to her hair, so it'll just help her better style, her hair with the extensions, but this one is gon na, be so cool and I cannot wait to see the after. Ok, we've got the first track in and the hair is clipped up and we're going to get to sewing. Okay, so we've got two rows in and we're about to sew in the last row and then we'll get to coloring. Ok, we've got all your wheels rinsed out and I've got olaplex on her hair right now and I'm gon na go ahead and mix up her toners for her hair and the extensions whatever okay. I use gold all ten BS to tone her extensions and her natural hair, so we've got her all rinsed out and now I'm going to use the kenra heat, protectant spray, the Boyer spray and then the olaplex number six and then we're gon na get her blown Out which is going to take a minute alright, so here is the after you can see if she's got long locks, she looks so beautiful. You

Serra: that looks so beautiful! I'm growing out the bleach damage from years of bleaching my hair and want to get extensions when my hair gets at around this length. It gives me hope that it can be blended nicely and I don't have to wait more than another 8 months!

M A: Gorgeous! I didn’t know you could sew in the extensions before highlighting and toning! Could this be done with keratin extensions too? Such beautiful work!
