Hey today, I'm going to be doing a tutorial on hair extensions. I recently went to this website. Hair extensions love, calm and I bought a pair of hair extensions and they are fantastic and I'm going to be showing you how I put them in and generally everything about, hair extensions, just the general stuff. I'M not gon na go into like full detail, but um. The hair extension type I got was the 20 inch tape weft in ash blonde, and there were pretty much a perfect match for my upper hair. I wanted them to make my darker hair underneath more cohesive, because I liked this kind of motive, multi tonal look and I also needed to just thicken up my hair because yeah, because for the last couple years I've been raised during my hair and I kind of Wanted a thick again cuz, my hair is thick and curly, and I kind of wanted to get back to that. You may need to pre dye these, but I ordered the 20 inch ash blonde and it is pretty much an exact match. Actually, it is to my top hair. I'Ve got a different color underneath but I'll explain that in another video, because it will take a long time to explain why I've got multi-tonal hair. But I like it like that and the reason why I got these extensions was to make my hair more cohesive, because I'm staying blonde and that that - and I just want to make my hem but more cohesive and to make it thicker and full up. I don't necessarily need length because I already have really long hair. The extensions were pretty much the same length as my hair they're a bit longer, but I've cut them back at the bottoms, which I will show you how to UM. Yes, so I'm showing you how to do this, both for length and thickness, so what we going. What we're gon na do first is make sure your hair is straightened, because this makes it a lot easier, so straighten and brush your hair and then because the front ones are harder to do I'm going to, because I've already done most of my hair, I'm going To just do the last front, one because I got 20 of them and, as you know, with tape waves, they fold on top of each other. So really there's ten because see. There'S two there and you've got to place them on top of each other, like that, I'm going to show you how, because it's very straightforward with the back and but I can't show if I can't feel my back. All you do with the back is just fine. Where your bottom hand line is, and then go a little bit up from that, because you want them to not be seen when you've got your hair up and then you just place them say like three along the base, your head in the base line so say: You'Ve got three and then you brick up, so you put the next one up here. You make them like bricks and because you don't want just lines through your hair, you don't want noticeable lines so yeah, brick, brick, the back, hair extensions, so with the front ones. However, because you've got to account for putting your hair up like to go to the gym or to wear high ponytail or something like that work out, where you wear your hair, the most see, I either way my hair in a very low ponytail or very high. I don't really do mediums in that. In that sense, you can see on this side. Sorry about that. I scratched a mole earlier today. Um see that one it's on a gradient, it's on a gradient. That is so I can do that and it can go into a high ponytail, see it's covered. You can go into a high ponytail or into a low ponytail. That'S the only places I wear them so now that I've found my gradient I'll, just clip that back and I will grab just a very small sliver of hair that is about the same size as the hair extension doesn't matter. If you got a little bit too much or it's too wide, it's just a guesstimate and you can fix that up later. So what I'm going to do is grab the first one and I'm gon na pull that up like that. And I'm going to press that in as close to the skin, but not on it as I can, because it needs to have free movement. And then I'm going to press that on like that and see it's not done there. You'Ve got to get the second part and sandwich it. So I'm going to then line it up and press and you got to hold it for about three seconds to make sure the glues bond. This is a very safe glue. It won't pull out your hair and all of that kind of stuff. So that's done and now well drop the rest of your hair and you're pretty much good to go. But first, this is one thing that really annoys me: you've got to cut them back to kind of blend. With your hair, I'm going to show you how, with just something that's always lying around the house. I raise a head. Just a normal shaver, make sure it's a new one, because otherwise it will tug and pull at your hair, and we don't want that. So make sure it's a new one and just brush out the hair extension. So it's it's how it will normal. So it's like that and then find where it is and then slowly kind of slide it with a gentle hand along the hair extension, and it will. It'S kind of razoring, it's actually is razoring literally, so you got to make it blend into your hair like that, and you can cut it back how short long, whatever you want doesn't phase me and it's really all personal opinion and like personal preference, so you can Cut it back as much as you want make sure it blends, though now I've got that, but now I've got this extra long part that I don't really want. So what we're going to do now, because I'm blending this in with my real hair, I'm going to find the bottom of this particular extension and then see how long the longer hairs around at are they're pretty much the same honestly, but I'm still gon na cut It back cuz, I, like my hair, a little bit shorter in the front so and all you need to do with the razor is honestly very lightly, just press and run it down very lightly. Otherwise, you will end up chopping off too much, and I don't want that, especially because hair extensions are an investment. You know if you don't feel comfortable cutting your own hair extensions, just go to a hairdresser after you've put them in, or you know, get a friend or something like that to do the razoring technique, because the razoring technique is well get someone you trust to do. The razoring technique now that I've done I'm just gon na brush my hair um straighten out any kinks. There might be, and I will be back so now that I'm done I'm going to explain to you a couple great things about this website. I cannot stress enough how great the colors, where they have a big color range, which is great and even if they don't have your color, then you can just get the white blond and diet. I will show you at a later date how to dye hair extensions, because I'm gon na leave them like this for a little while and then I'm gon na do ombre at the bottom, because I've wanted to do that for a while and no just being trying To get my hair to a suitable color that I like and I'm happy with it now, I'm gon na leave it like this and rock this for a couple of weeks and then I'm gon na dye them and I'll show you how this is my first time With hair extensions, but I've done many people's hair extensions, because you know hairdressers in Australia are abroad because of how expensive they are.
