Hi guys welcome back to the house of hair UK. I hope everyone is doing well today is gon na, be a very different style of video. I'M gon na be giving you a quick tour of my hair extension salon. So the first thing that you see when you walk inside the salon is our little welcome table, and this is our payment machine is by a company called clover. We absolutely love it. It does all of your sales reports. You can take payments on their cash payments and card payments can be recorded and it can print and email out receipts. So we absolutely love that. Then we have our business cards which have got our appointment on the back of it. So we can confirm people's appointments by given an appointment card. We also have two different price lists, so we have a process for our salon services and then we have a price list for our wigs hair, bundles and all of our products that we retail as well and obviously we have to have our candles and our crystals. We put this up here right as you come into the salon to make sure that everybody coming into our space is of really clean and kind and caring energy. So after we've completed a consultation with a potential client, we take a deposit and then we put we kind of keep their hair set aside and we put it in those a little. I think they're organza style bags, so that hair, that you saw us in that organza bag that is actually reserved for somebody else, who's coming in for a future appointment. Just obviously, our hair is our little waiting chair. It'S only a little two-seater sofa because we're quite a small salon. We don't need anything bigger than that, and just next to that you're gon na see this is our client protection capes and then also our staff aprons, because we do color will do keratin treatments and things like that and stuff. We don't actually have a uniform, so staff just wear what they want, but when you want to protect your clothes, you just put on one of these aprons and then all of the clients they'll get like a protective cape. So one of the piece of equipment that we use or the tools that we use - I guess, is this tin trolley and it's a clear acrylic trolley. So it goes with any kind of color theme that you might have in your salon and on the side of it. I'Ve stuck these two things by a company called easy, weft or easy bond, and they allow you to hang your hair at centers on the side. So that you can blow dry their hair, straighten the hair out or put curls in it or color or whatever they're really really useful tools. If you work with hair extensions, I would recommend getting one of these. We put it on either side of this trolley so that it will help us when we're doing our actual clients hair. We just hang their hair on the sides there and then use our tools we next to the sofa. We have our computer and we use a booking software, it's a booking software. It does all your inventory and it does everything. But this is a new bit of software that we use by a company called forest and, as you can see, we're gon na have anything on this computer, because it's really new the computer itself is quite new. We just used to be a paper diary. Come you know, salon. We just used to write everything in the diary and a paper diary, but now we're switching from that and we're gon na have an app and we've got a full-on booking system. So it makes it easier for clients to book with us and also it eases up a bit of the pressure off me when clients are calling me to book an appointment. I take quite a while to get back to them because I'm busy with clients and so on so in between the sofa and I little reception area. We have a little box that has stores all of our hot tools in our mirror. How does Hans actually store all of their hot tools, because we can't seem to find a home for them, so they just sit in that box. Then we have a little stationary area with our pens and our sticky labels for when we're storing clients. Here we put their name on it and put exactly what the items are, so we actually tried to put minimal items because the computer is on this actual table. We don't put too much stuff on top of the table, just a little price list there and we sometimes will put cupcakes and stuff on really busy days for clients. I have an iPad that we connect to the speaker, so we play music all throughout the salon and then I still have my little notepad and my paper diary. Next to it, we have the tables and chairs that we put outside it's just two chairs and a little fold-out table. So if it's a really warm day - and we know that we're gon na have clients back-to-back, sometimes we can run over and the clients don't want to sit inside, they want to sit outside and have a drink. We'Ve got a pub right next door, so they'll get in selves a drink and they can wait outside on the table. Next to that we have our shelves, which is our retail shelves, we're really terrible at retailing products, but in that we have three different trinket boxes. The top box has got all of our tapes when we're doing is tape in maintenance or removal and reinstall. So we have the tapes. We have the little combs for the wigs and at the top one we have some of our little micro beads, the ones that aren't so popular. So we don't use them as much. But you never know we might get a client who's got that hair color and we might need to use the beads so they're on that trinket box and the two trinket boxes below are our main beads and our keratin glue that we would use for almost all Of our beaded appointments and if we have to reinforce the bonds on a keratin appointment, then we use these little white beads. For those clients. We mainly use beads that have got the silicone lined in the inside and we have two different sides so for our flat weft hair extensions. We use these really mini these. I think they're meat-free millimeters in size and then for our main hair extensions. We use the 5 millimeter beads, because our hair extensions, they're one gram per strand and the tip of them can sometimes be quite thick, so we'll use 5-minute, BIA beads for our normal hair extensions. Anyone who's using mini, beads or flat West's sorry, mini micro Rings or flat wess. Then we would use the mini hair extensions. It'S just some of our products that we retail. I should have actually refilled this before I filmed, but we just put popcorn and sweets for O'Shea's and things like that in those little glass tubes. That'S where we keep all of the sweets for the client and then we just have some of our styling products and that disgustin covers down there that I forgot to clean. Oh my gosh. I don't actually think I've ever spoken so much in a video. So next up, but we have on our shelf, we have our haircare guide. So we give this the client at the point of consultation. So it's just a haircare guide, giving you some hot top tips on how to look after your hair extensions and on the other side we just go into more details, so these are actual leaflets that we hand out and give to clients so we'll just keep it Up here so that they can read, and then this is my station, so when I do my filming this is where I normally am so on my little shelf, I have one of this beautiful book that a client gave me. It says she believed she could so she did, and inside of it has got. These amazing quotes that I love and I really like when clients come in and they pick it up and read some of the quotes and stuff I can. I just feel like it gives them a little bit of like inspiration and a little bit of happiness while they're in the salon. I think about a year ago I saw a youtuber who had all of her needles in a sponge, so I obviously copied that, which i think is an amazing idea. So we have all of our needles in a sponge here and because we're so small, upstairs there's only two stylists who actually work upstairs and three work downstairs. We only actually share one trolley, so we have all of these scissors. Some of them are for cutting my quest off those really small ones, and some of them are for actually cutting clients hair. Just a quick run-through of everything that's in our trolley, so the first draw is some of our micro links, pliers and latch hook and loop tools got this really fancy type of one that we've never actually used before. But we've got a few different tools in here that are all for kind of micro Rings, slash micro links or flat weft hair extensions. All of these tools up here are for that, and then this little box here is just what we use to have our pliers. In for when we're plucking, frontals or closures and want to customize them - and we just use those tweezers, so this is kind of like the thread draw, because we do clients of all different hair colors we've got brown black and brown frayed. This is also where we keep our furs in here, not strings our braiding in hair. We also have a nylon thread because we've got a client who's actually allergic to the normal cotton thread, and then we have the keratin glue here, where we make our little keratin strands and those that or razor eyebrow razors will use those sometimes to cut off the Lace off of the lace fronts and that nylon thread, if your clients got a hole or anything in their lace, frontal or their next week, you can use that little nylon thread to stitch it back up together. The rest of this stuff is just junk in the straw. This drawer here has these stretchy elastic that we sometimes use for our Brazilian knot installs. It also has some other blonde thread, some gloves and some wig caps weaving net. It'S another kind of mixture drawer. It'S not for anything specific. It'S just got a few different bits in it that we use on a day-to-day basis. So when you come downstairs in the salon for anyone who's been to the salon before or has seen me film, the basement area in other videos, it used to solely be for a beautician, and I used to just have a back wash down there. But because we've got so busy and we've taken on new staff, and we also have a stylist who rents a station from us, I've now renovated their basement and we've got freestyler stations downstairs and our back wash is still downstairs. So we do. Any of our client washes and we color our bundles and everything downstairs. So when you come downstairs in the salon to the left, there's a like our only storage space that we have within the within the whole salon. So this is a space where we have all of our backup bits and all of our stationery. I guess business stationary, so things like our certificates, our business cards, our price lists our thank-you cards for people who retail stuff online. They all kind of have the backups of them are all downstairs. In these little boxes. I actually rent out a salon, booth or rent out a chair to a wig specialist, a lady who specializes in custom, lace, front, wigs and called Monica trials. You guys should check around Instagram, she's, actually amazing, and so she rents a space and because we don't have much storage a lot of her things like her weaving net and her wig caps. The cling film she uses to cover up your head before she does. The sew in and things like that they are all within this little storage box in this area. We also use this space to have all of our backup, shampoos and conditioners, and then also you can see up here. All of my cylinders, that's what I put all of my retail kind of bundles and my I tip strands and things like that. Anything high retail goes up there because we don't do many treatments that require like color, will do keratin treatment and relaxers. But we don't do that many a month, so we just have one back wash chair and then, but we do color bundles. Most of our hair comes in a color one be like a natural black. So sometimes we have to lift the color slightly for clients. So this is the seated area and the waiting area for downstairs and just behind that it actually looks like a load of junk, but actually it's our training, heads and all of our training stands and anything else that we might need if you've made it to the End of this video, thank you so much for watching guys.
