I Tried Kinky Curly Knot Today And Kinky Curly Curling Custard

Hi uzi gang welcome back to my channel. I am usonne kaku. If you don't know - and i run this channel usana precious while i make videos on a natural hair, beauty and lifestyle, and so if that is the kind of thing that you are into then this is the channel to subscribe to. So today i'm going to be doing something that i haven't done on this channel in a long long long time years, and that is going to be a first time trial, product video and these two products that i'm going to be using have been in the game. For years, i'm talking way back when the natural hair movement got big and they were, they were just one of the first products there from my memory, they've been here a long time anyway. It'S the kinky curly brand of stuff. Okay, so i have the not today leave-in conditioner and i have the coiling custard and the reason why these products look so used and almost down almost to their empty point. That'S because i actually borrowed these products from a friend. I did not buy these products, but if i like these products, then of course i'm going to go ahead and purchase these products myself. At some point i just wanted to try, so i thought you know what better way than to have fun and just try these products out with you guys so yeah. I have the not today leave-in conditioner, which is the natural even in detangler and the coiling custard, and this is my hair and so before i get into talking about my set today, we're gon na transition over to the wash. So i'm only going to be showing you the styling stage of this wash. As you can see, we are starting with the kinky curly. Not today, it is an herbal conditioner that is supposed to smooth the cuticle and remove knots. The back has directions for different kinds of hair, so i'll be following the directions for thick coarse curls, since my hair is farther from the description of loose and wavy for thick coarse curls use a generous amount as a leave-in and completely detangle hair before applying kinky Curly styling products, as you can see, i was definitely trying to make sure my amount of the leave-in was generous. I had heard that the leave-in acts mostly like a styler, so you do want to focus more on applying the leave-in. Then you do, then you want to with the second product. So that is why - and i know you see me slapping the product to the top of the bottle, but the product's really not that hard to get out, as i was applying, everything felt. Fine. Everything was good, nothing to really write home about uh, nothing, special or life-changing happened. It felt it felt decent, but this next part is where the magic happens. If you try the kinky curly products, i would suggest you look at their tips and product directions on their website and not just the bottle, because there are some added tips on there that i really feel make the difference. One tip for a knot today says that when using the product as a leave-in apply in the shower and rinse with a little water to evenly distribute the conditioner and girl did it do something. I was able to detangle my hair as smoothly and easily as they said, and i was just taking this time to bask in the goodness of how my hair felt now it says to detangle with a wide tooth comb. I did not do that. Instead, i raked my fingers through, but that was because my hair was already detangled. If you watch my wash day video, you see that i detangle my hair at the conditioning step, not after washing and conditioning at the styling step. So there was no detangling that needed to be done here at this point. For me, after using the leave-in, it was time to try the curling custard. It is a botanical gel that is supposed to give moisture and curl definition hold in brilliant shine all in one product. The brand also says it reduces bulk, defines and elongates curls helping them to hang better. The website said the product is designed to be used alone, but for best results use it with not today, according to them a little goes a long way, and i do truly believe that it did not really take much to style. My hair with the gel and i used small sections as they had directed when applying the gel on my hair. Now it was a while ago when i filmed this, but i definitely remember feeling like the gel had removed the slip that i was getting from. The leave-in, which i thought was weird gels, don't typically give me slip like that, and i was still able to style. So i didn't think too much of it and carried on styling. I just thought it would have been nice to still feel some of the effects of the leave-in in my hair. You know, anyway, i'm just raking through in small sections, i'm probably gon na fast forward through the rest of this part, because there's nothing really else to say so. Yeah just continue to watch me style, my hair. You will notice that i keep dipping back into the jar, and this is one reason why i'm just not a particular fan of products that come in jars, because it's just the amount you pick up is just inconsistent and you'll have to keep dipping back in, especially If it's a product like this one, that's not so easy to pick up at times when i felt my hair was starting to dry, i did turn on the shower a little bit just to add some more water to my hair. Also y'all will have to forgive me for not facing the camera during the styling section. I i tried, but i am also so used to looking at this little mirror. I have in the shower my apologies, and this was a product that i was using for the first time, so i just felt better looking at the mirror than i did looking at the camera, so okay, so this is my hair to show you on the back. If you could see the back other side, okay, so yes, i can't say that this is my favorite set yet, but i think that's just because this is my first time using the product and so there's still some things. I need to figure out for a first-time child. This is actually not bad. You know it's actually, i feel, like my hair has more weight to it. Somehow it's moving more than usual. I don't know if it's, if that's just because the hair might not be completely dry yet i don't know, but my hair feels very feels very soft. It has that kind of feeling. Where somebody might you know say: oh my hair is moisturized and yeah it's cute.
