Hey everyone welcome back to the channel. Thank you so much for tuning in today's video is going to be a hair extension update and talking about some things that I wish I would have known the first time I got them in as a little background. I'D probably have these in there more tape and extensions have them in for two, maybe two and a half years. I have a whole video talking in depth about the process of getting them, maintaining them every six to ten weeks. What it's like to have them in all of that kind of stuff that I will link to up here. This is really just going to go through some questions that you guys had for me as well as, like. I said those things that I have learned in having these for as long as I have in going to multiple different stylists and things that I've learned from them. So let's go ahead and dive in the number one question I get is about damaged and thinning hair. As a result of getting these put in and taken out for as much as I have - and I actually hadn't had them out for all that long until very recently, where I they were out for a good like week or week and a half but prior to That I really hadn't had a chance to kind of evaluate the health of my hair, because every time I would get an old set or just any time in general, I would get them removed. I get them immediately put back in in the same appointment, so I hadn't really been able to see how it's affected the health of my hair until very, very recently, like two weeks back and I'm kind of surprised to say it felt like my hair - is thicker. Now than it was before I got them put in, I think I mentioned this in the very first video I make, but you do feel like you lose a lot of hair every time you get them taken out and put back in, because any hair that you Would naturally shed on a daily weekly basis, whatever it gets stuck in the glue in your weft, and so it's not gon na come out until you get those wefts or mood as a result, you see a lot of hair shed when you go in for your Appointments, whereas you might not realize it, but you aren't shedding where you don't see what you're shedding quite as much as you normally would when you have them in. So you see a lot of hair, go whenever you get them taken out, but for the most part at least what they have they told me is that it's hair that you've already shed it's just coming out with your extensions, and I honestly do believe that, after Having them out for as long as I did, because this last time, when I had them out, I could actually go in and style and play with my hair. Like I said it, I really, it certainly hasn't hurt the health of my hair. My hair isn't anymore thin anymore damage anything like that. The one thing I did notice actually and it's I don't think it is maybe it could be, but I don't think it's related at all to wearing. My extensions is that my hair has become a little bit more textured. It used to be that my hair was very much like this naturally flat lifeless. I would have some curls or texture around the face of my baby hairs, but if I were to try and like scrunch or put any sort of texturizing spray in my hair, it would get crunchy sooner than it would get develop any kind of texture. But what I noticed in having them out this last time is that when going to the ocean went to the beach swam in the beach - and I didn't wash my hair afterwards - which is definitely a no-no with extensions - don't do that it will affect the texture. So I'm told so I just don't do it, but with my natural hair I decided to leave it in see what the texture did and holy curls. I mean I was so surprised at how much body my hair had would normally like. I said it would just kind of become this thin flat, looking like it like it wants to curl. It wants to do something, but it just can't, and so it I was pretty pleased to say it was actually doing something interesting, which I'm a fan of, but again have no idea. That is that all connected to the extensions in any way could just be how my hair has changed over the course of the last two and a half years, but it was a nice surprise. The other question that I have gotten is about any tenderness. Like does your head hurt when you get them taken in put out whatever the only time I experienced tenderness is if the hair or the weft is placed too close to my scalp, when they first apply them, and that's just because it doesn't give you the flexibility For your hair to like move up and down, and so my current stylist is really good about making sure he's super close, but not so close that it's gon na hurt to like have my hair move for the next few days until it grows out a little Bit that would be the number one source of any tenderness you might experience. Otherwise you really cannot feel them. Otherwise sleeping it's not like. When you lay down, you can really feel them against your scalp they're, so thin, undetectable yeah. The tenderness is really only if and when your stylist will get it too close to your scalp taking them out. I mean you are like trying to pull and remove glue from your head, so there will be some being there, but I haven't really experienced time with a stylist where it was like over-the-top painful and like I had to ask them to stop or change if they Were doing like all the Styles that I've had I've been really aware and conscious of making sure that they're putting enough solution to help dissolve the adhesive and then only when it's nice and dissolved pulling it away. So it really minimizes that kind of tension on your hair and your scalp. Now one of the things that I wish I would have known and the first one is a real money. Saver and I didn't learn it until I found my current most recent stylist, who was amazing. I will link his Instagram down in the description bar below, but when I first saw him, I was getting a new box or two. I have two boxes, so two new boxes of hair brand new hair and I had been told they would last three to four refreshes, basically three to four times getting them taken out and put back in before I had to be replaced and he looks shocked and He was like, if we don't make these last a year. We are doing something wrong, so I had always been under. The impression that I have to buy like the hair is most expensive part. It can be. You know five to six hundred bucks, depending on the length you get and the number of boxes you get, that's roughly where mine are and so ever since then I have gotten away and, and it doesn't affect the look of your hair like it still looks fantastic. You really can't go more than just those three to four reuses before meeting to repurchase, so I only recently like two weeks ago got the hair that I currently have in my head in and for the prep pet mmm past year I had had the same set Before that, I had been totally happy with them so yeah. That was one thing that I was really excited to learn. If you find yourself in the same boat, I would just maybe work for your stylist too, on that third or fourth time that, where you might typically replace them, just have a health check like look at the health of the hair and kind of decide together that It'S got to go or you need to be replaced and maybe ask them if you can go one more round without replacing them because again a year's worth of use - and it was only like the last time that I was like serious kind of on its last Legs, the actual left is thinning. The ends are very split and at that point it had been cut up to my hair's length, so we couldn't really go any shorter with it. That was when we had to replace, and then the other thing that I learned not knowing until I've gotten with my recent stylist about a year ago, is that there are different they're, like multifaceted shades, that you can get. So it's basically putting a high light or a low light in your hair without actually having to color your hair you're, just using extensions. Instead. Before that I had had single tone, I mean there were a little bit faceted, but it was, for the most part, a very monochromatic single tone, and this last are this. Most recent time getting and put in its, I actually have two tones. One is a pretty noticeable blonde. In fact, I hope you can see it here. It'S probably more noticeable. If I pull it up, see like right here, it's it's a blonde, but when my hair is over it, it blends totally into my hair and just gives it a little bit more of a natural like almost ombre or BA Leon's. Look to it, which I love. The idea I thought it was perfect for summer it blends so beautifully into my hair and I avoided having to bleach or dye my natural hair in any way. It was just all done with extensions, which I really appreciate it. So those are really the major things. Are the only things I could think of honestly that that I really wish I would have known going into it besides, that it really is a pretty smooth and straightforward process, especially if you and your stylists are on the same page, but I would be happy to Answer any other questions you guys might have just let me know down in the comments below besides that guys. Thank you so much for watching, don't forget to subscribe. If you haven't already and then we'll catch you in the next video bye, guys

Fєaтнёґ: I love your personality. You are so balanced. Love your make up look in this video.

Sharon Herron: Thank you for sharing, I have my consultation, for my very first, ever hair extensions, and I'm 58!! I had a very bad hair cut, I absolutely can't stand how my hair looks and my goal was to grow it out and long.. This stylist took my shoulder length hair and gave me a carol Brady shag!! I was devastated.. Now I think its grown in and I'm getting the extensions... My question is how much should I expect to pay the first time with 12 to 14 inch extensions..and if they have to do anything to them, like color match, cause I have salt and pepper..I just don't want 2 get ripped off..

Dominika Zagorska: Love how informative you are !! I’m thinking about which hair extensions will be the best for me so trying to find the most honest and informative videos ❤️

Steph Polston: Thank you for sharing! =) Good info!!! Curious though, do you ever put your hair up? And if so how? A video on that would be Awesome!

maggie stout: Interesting video. I would love to see a tutorial of this look. You look beautiful!

Melody Patterson: I've been using Zala Hair tape extensions for over a year....just ordered my 4th set. NEVER had any issues. Love them!

Aloha Sisters: Thanks for sharing your story! I used to use the Jessica Simpson extensions everyday for 2 yrs and now have bald spots on the sides of my head... thankfully it’s covered under the top layer of hair but it totally damaged it

Samantha Friedrich: Thank you for sharing these videos - I’m an ATX girl and your videos have really helped me!!

NailitlikeLucy: You get hairloss when applied too close or not enough hair in the tapes. That’s too much stress on the hair follicles it’s like tweezing it out. You need enough room to flip them up without feeling a tug.

Elenblndii: Needed this thanks, I was wondering why my hair looks so insanely shorter then I put them on ... I guess it’s hair that was going to come off anyways wow

R Noor: Great video. I have just tape ins put in & really loving it. Think its a lot kinder to the hair than other methods. What brush are you using on your extensions hun? Xxx

Beauty vlogs by Iris: Thankyou for making this video! It is really helpfull for me ! I am wondering what you use for products on your tape extensions. I see a lot of different product advices for tape ins.. my hair stylist told me i can use whatever product i want. But others are telling me to not use silicone/ sulfate and parabenes ect. on your hair/extensions.. I love natural products so it's no big deal for me.. but I'm still wondering what the best products are, to use in the shower and after shower and to protect your hair agains uva-uvb sunlight and swimwater ect.??

GlammedByEz: So glad I found your channel

luv2dance: I love your eye look!! What eyeshadows are you wearing? Btw great video!! :-)

Lovelyellie: What is on your nails?? Love them!!!

O. Kay: what color is on your nails? i'm obsessed!! great video, thank you!

Nathalie Burnett: Please help. My hair has always been my pride and joy. I figured since it is pretty damn healthy, it could deal with some bleach damage. And I figured the master stylist who did all the color-corrections would know how much would be too much. I was wrong, and now I want to burst into tears every time I look at my hair or touch it. I just don't know what to do. My hair has also NEVER been shorter than this and it breaks and falls out. What should I do to regrow hair?

Spirit of Light: I’ve had for two years and I’ve lost sooooo much hair !

Kiana Lopez: Curious to know how you avoid matting?

Robin Ellison: Do the hair extensions really need to be placed as "sandwiched in?" Or is that just a get you to buy more tactic?

Gala: You are so pretty, thank you for this video.

hailey: My hair is damaged anyways from years of pulling it out so thats fine and so is my hair

colleen whalen: Any recommendations on what hairdresser used for pain free removal of tape in extensions? Just had mine removed and it hurt so much!

Scarah Jolie-Laide: Hi I noticed the extension you showed us was above the eyebrows- I read that they aren’t supposed to be placed that high especially for thin hair does anyone have any info on that? I had some put in recently and quite a few were placed high up and they kept showing

KatErina: This is just my experience wearing tape-ins and clip-in extensions. I wore clipins for a year and during that time I was taking lots of vitamins and balancing my hormones and my hair got thicker and fluffy. So I stopped wearing the clipins. I then went through a major shed and lost a lot of hair I had grown and then started wearing the clipins again. After 6 months I decided to try tapeIns. They have been great, but I did get tired of the washing hassles and sleeping which for the most part was comfy. But every time I took out the tape ins to reinstall them. My hair still seemed waaay thin. I wore tapeins for a year and a half until three months ago when I decided to take them out for awhile. I went back to my clipins and wore them for 2 months. Two weeks ago I decided to try the tapeins again because I was traveling overseas and bought a cheap pack off amazon that got rave reviews. My reg tapeins were out of stock so I decided to try the new ones. Anyway they only lasted two weeks until I took them out yesterday.. the thing I noticed the most though was that my hair is thicker now all of a sudden. My hair is still a bit thin but I noticed a big difference after removing the horrid tapeins I had used for two weeks. The only thing I can attribute this to is not wearing the tape ins for two months and wearing the clipins instead. The whole year and a half I wore the tape ins my hair only seemed to get thinner or stay thin. Im only saying this is what happened to me, and what I’ve noticed. It might not be the case for everyone I just ordered a new set of clips from my fave hair company I usually get tapeins.. we will see if my own hair continues to improve with the clipins Oh I also notice with clipins I have way more volume in my hair then with tapeins

Pam Garnett: I've had tape ins for a little over a year( minus every 6 weeks getting reset) but with the virus going around I've been forced to take my extensions out and I've noticed lots of hair thinning and hair loss is that from the extensions ?

Max English: You look so pretty

Spirit of Light: I’ve had clip ins for 15 years and never any hair loss . My tape in hair I loved so much but my hair can’t support it . I look like a cancer victim again when she removes them .

Brittany Webb: if you have fine/thin hair do you think the tape in would be visible?

Iris L...: So early!

iambrik monica: Are you still wearing tape in extensions?

Jossette Wagenhauser: I had wish tape in hair I was having a problem after about 2 weeks it started to creep up the back of my head like turn into a big wave.i constantly had to brush it as if it wanted to start to know up.anyone ever hear of this.

Maria Divina Talastas: How about washing, drying and styling?

Amber'sMakeupDen: I got my hair off of amazon and it was way cheaper. It is great quality too. All the stylists couldn't believe I got such great hair from amazon. They have different colors too. I got balayage dyed hair wefts. The glue is great quality and it is 100 percent human hair. So just wanted to throw it out in case you wanted to get extensions but didn't have enough money. I saved hundreds. You just buy them, schedule an appointment, and give them to your stylist to put in your hair.

Trisha Paniagua: Iam a new sub just wondering what you use to whitten your teeth they are so nice

That.Bat.Head: It only damages the hair if you had them more than 3 weeks right ? :) im so gonna try it

Cari Del-Rio: cool

sharon mahi: but i troubling with hair falll sooo can i use it ????

Keri Stevenson: How long can you keep then in before having to re-do the extentions?
