Hey guys welcome back to my channel, oh my god that bit of sun is annoying um for today's video. I thought i would um just show you my hair extensions, so how i take them out and refit them, and so i've had loads of questions. I made a tick tock about it and i had so many questions on it. So i thought i would just make a video on it um, because it's easier for people to watch a video and it's longer than a 60 second tick, tock um, but yeah. So if you want to see how i do my hair, then please keep watching to say that i'm obviously not a professional hair extension person. So if i'm doing it wrong, don't come for me, i'm just doing what works for me and how i do my hair. Just wanted to put that in there i covered them when they're in you can kind of tell oh well um yeah, so just kind of start, where the, where the tape is, and i just kind of try and get my finger in between it and then gently Pull it apart and if it's like really stuck, then i just put like some oil like right into the gap of where it is, but normally they come apart quite easily. I just like, obviously, i'm not professional. Obviously they don't look as good as going to professional, but i've literally saved so much money doing that doing them from home and then the ones that i use oil on i set aside because you need to wash the top of it, because if there's oil on It and they won't stick when you put them back in and then i get a comb and i just go over the root where the glue is so just try and comb it out and then the same. If i can't really get the like the sticky bits on my hair, then i just put some more oil on it. My hair's actually grown loads, while i've had these in okay. So it's actually the next day, and i didn't bother putting them back in yesterday because i just couldn't be bothered. So i just planned it and i went to sleep. My head actually got quite long, but um, it's just really thin, as you can tell so. I'M just gon na give it a good wash probably give it like. Three shampoos just make sure all the oil is out from my hair and there's no glue left either, because we don't want that yeah, it's very oily. I just left the oil in yesterday, so it might do some good, so yeah, i'm just gon na wash it and then um i'll come back when i put the extensions in okay. So now i'm gon na clean my extensions. I'Ve got them all here and um. I have got a bowl of water like warm water and then just a towel that i'm gon na put them on, but that one's actually a bit wet. So i did bring another one and some shampoo, so i just find it easy to do them like one by one like just at the root instead of like in the shower, because i just find they get really naughty in the shower. All i'm gon na do is just take them apart and then i don't know if you can see but there's like so my crusty nails, there's like still a bit of glue like on there, so you just need to like i just like rub my hands over And it kind of like peels off. This is the like, my least favorite part about doing it so, like the actual tape will come off. You can see now like it's coming off. Yeah just need to peel that off and then make sure they don't feel oily and if they feel oily, then just put a bit of shampoo on them and then put them in the water and then just pat them dry like not the whole hectare. Just at the root so yeah, i'm just gon na, take all those off okay and then i um i've cleaned them all and i've taken all the old tapes off and then i used um. I normally use the um like actual like tabs from beauty works, but they didn't have them in stock. So i ordered um like a roll of tape and you just have to put them out and then cut them to the right length, but it's fine um. It just takes a little bit longer: um, perfect yeah, so i'm just gon na go and put tapes on all of them and then i'll put them in okay. So i've put the tapes on all of them and i've laid them out in the pairs to put them in, and i've left these. These four are gon na be on the side, and then these are all going in the back. So yeah i'm gon na um, section my hair and then i'll explain. Oh that's cute, okay and then i'll explain like how i put them in um as best i can. Obviously i can't really. I obviously can't see the back of my head and i don't really use a mirror. I just go by guess: work but um yeah, i'll, try and explain. My best is actually the longest thing ever. It'S just. I hate doing it, but okay, so i'm gon na start off and just section my hair okay. So what right? Let me start what you need to put them in. So a comb um, a few like sectioning clips, um and a pair of straighteners and then yeah. I just start off by parting, my hair, all the way down to the back, so that it's in two sections. Let me get my hair brush through. Actually, it feels a bit knotty and then i just start off by like it literally, is just guesswork, because obviously i can't see the back of my head like when i first did my extensions. I did get my mum to help me um, but i think i've done them like five or six times now by myself, um my hair's actually grown loads, i'll, try and pop a picture on the screen of how short my hair was when i first did my Extensions - but it's like down to here now so i it is very thin and it doesn't need to cut, but i don't want to cut it and then put my extensions in because it just kind of will look quite blocky. It'S not what we want. So i just take about um an inch. I just go about an inch up at the top at the back of my head and section it across and if you want you can use like a mirror to see what you would do it like hold it up. Behind to see if your sections are straight, yeah um - i don't know if you can see that so yeah, so you just hold it up and have a look. So i section it in to. Although that looks. Oh, no, that looks fine, yeah um and then i do the same on the other side other side and then what you're gon na want to do is so the easiest way to explain it. Is you stick it down, take the table, stick it down and then let's just do it and see, let's just check that section, yeah so and the bottom row i put two. So i put one either side i might try and film it from behind. So you can see so i take the um sticky bit off and then i just kind of feel where i've parted my hair and where the middle is - and i know that i want it. I want one either side like one hair and one here, so i just take it and i stick it as close to the parting as i can and then just make sure that's stuck and then you lift it up and like there will be. You can feel like under here that there's some hairs that have come up with it and just kind of pull it up and just check the sections clean, and then you grab the second tape. Just put it over my head like this and just feel so that you can line it up and then stick it down and then just make sure that the hair's sandwiched in there and then i just grab my straighteners and just wait until they heat up. So it smells good, i'm hungry and then i just um yeah. I just go over the glue just to heat it up and then just press it down with my fingers and then that is how you put them in okay, so i've just put in the bottom. Two and i'm just going to pull down like another section and then in this layer row, whatever you want to call it. I'M gon na put in three along the back right onto the next layer. I am putting four in this layer so so far i've done. Two three four and then i'm gon na do another two and then two in each side to be fair. Putting them in doesn't take long, it's just like taking them out, cleaning them, putting the tapes on them. But then i do keep them in and i change them every like seven to eight weeks. They start to really grow out right. I'M gon na come back once. Okay, so i've actually finished this side um. I still need to put the ones. That'S got three. Let'S put in this side, i decided against doing so. I'Ve done the rows at the back. They end about here, um. So there's enough for, like my hair to cover - and i feel like it's thick enough and sometimes i feel like - i just need an extra couple in the side, so i've put three in the side. So i've put one slant in here: one slanted right beneath it and then one like a little bit further down because there's sometimes like a gap so yeah like here, i guess um yeah and i think i'm actually quite happy with it. They'Re, obviously just still cold from when i had taken them out and i do need to wash it but um. Oh, it feels so much better to have thick hair and long hair makes the world of difference. I think see. I'M just gon na. Do this side. Um, so i just kind of go off where i've done the other side. So, honestly doing this myself has saved me so much money like so much money, it's a joke, but every time to get your extensions refitted, it's like at least 100 pounds, at least, and i just think if you can save yourself the money and try and do It yourself, like tapes, are really easy as well like i've never been. Obviously, don't come for me, so i'm not qualified, but i've never like been trained in extensions or anything like i used to be a hairdresser, but i've never been trained to do extensions, but i just feel like it's quite easy to be able to pick up and Especially like, if you do it a couple of times, you just get the hang of it. Yeah i've saved myself loads of money, but i just doing it myself and also when you go to someone else as well. They, like you, use the hair for a few times and they always say. Oh, i think you're going to need new hair next time and then you kind of feel like you have to do like you kind of feel like obliged to be like yeah, okay, i'll get new hair when actually the hair's fine, like this hair, i have two Hair and you have this hair for a couple of months, but like i've had box extensions before and i've had them for like a year plus like they just love as long as you look after them, they do last really well. When i do the front, i always do them if you can see at like an angle so that um when you, let me show you on this side, so, instead of doing them like down because nine times out of ten, you don't wear like a ponytail right Up here, so they don't come and sit flat up here, um, but if you um do a ponytail, then they lay flat against your head. If i move that out of the way - but you literally can't see them at all - and they lay flat again sorry about my like stupid, hairline um, i'm clearly receding at 22 years old, but it is what it is and i'm okay with it um so yeah. I just do them at like an angle around the front just so that they do lay flat if you ever put your hair up - and i wear my hair up quite a lot to be honest, so yeah, so i've washed and dried. My extensions and they're all fine, now um. I was just going to answer a few quick questions that i have been asked so um. The first thing is, i use the beauty, works, hair, extensions um. I don't know what shade they are because i have actually dyed them. I'Ve got two percent battery. I might have to add this on uh charging um i've got two packs in my hair, which is 16 tapes in total um. There is a discount code that is molly mae's discount code and it's molly10. It gets 10 off which actually does save you quite a lot of money. Like 15 20 quid, i think, um. I think the hair was about 300 pounds. I think i'm not sure um and i got mine in 18 inches and i haven't cut them or anything and they come look at this song um what else yeah they lasted about eight weeks, i'd, say six to eight weeks and um anything else. I don't think. There'S anything else yeah, i think that's it. Okay, um. I really hope you guys enjoyed this video. If you did, please give it a big thumbs up and subscribe.
