I went from flat hair to you know not so flat here, hey guys, welcome back to my channel, so, as you can tell by the title of this video this whole entire video is going to be about my hair extensions, as you guys may know. If you follow me on Twitter on Instagram, I have been home sick with the stomach book for like a week, so I'm finally feeling better and since I have been taking time off the gym, I figured. Why not do a video that some of you guys wanted to see and I can help out a lot of people, because I definitely know that before I got my hair extensions, I would have loved to see a straightforward video Q & A like this. So before we get this video started, let me just fill you in on my natural hair. If your day, one viewer or if you know you watched my previous videos, you know that my hair is definitely thin. It is embarrassing. It is very truly sad. So if you can relate to any of these things, I'm about to say number one, I'm sorry we're in the same boat and number two. If these hair extensions worked for me, they will probably work for you, so my natural hair is very very thin. That means I cannot put it in a ponytail, because it's literally as thick as my pinky and my pinky is generally very small. I get made fun of all the time at the nail salon. It'S actually very tiny. I couldn't put it in a braid either because it resembled a rat's tail, I'm not joking either. I couldn't apply heat to my hair either because, if I straightened it, it looks greasy and as if it was slicked down to my scalp and also if you apply heat to thin hair, it will break literally. I'M surprised that the wind blowing doesn't just break it off also for what I was working with. I actually feel, like I maintained some type of good volume III - feathered it back like so like, instead of just brushing it down like this, I feathered it back. You see this, they see this technique when you have thin hair, you have to make sure it's always perfectly crossed to be completely honest with you. I never thought I would actually use that word in real life. You can't heat damaged it. You can't color it. You can't put it up in cute hairstyles Pinterest hairs, yeah, that's just a dream. You can't actually do it nope! No, my thin hair would probably be my number three biggest insecurity, and the thing is is that you can't do anything about it. Nothing, not a zilch. You can't do anything to make your hair, naturally thicker a light forth in here people just a1, just amazing. So if you can relate to any of these things that I just said once again, I'm very sorry we're in the same boat and number two. I feel like these tape and extensions can work for you because they've done wonders for me. So for this tape in hair extension, Q & A I went out to Instagram and to my Twitter fam - and I said, hey, ask me: questions I'll go through them pick the best ones pick the ones out. Hope you guys got the most and I'll answer them. So, first off, let's start off with basics. Everybody wants to know how much this cost College is upkeep, etc, etc. So I damned my hairdresser to know the exact amount, minus the tip, etc. Just so little shoutouts to her I'll put all the info down below. If you're in my area - and you want to get your hair, did like me check out the description box and tell her Elizabeth Zacks section, this is not a paid promotion. She does not do my hair for free. I paid for these babies myself pay for everything myself. I don't get a discount nada. I went to a lot of places before I decided going to her and honestly, I'm so happy with my decision. So an install is $ 250. A touch-up is 150. So, basically, what an install is my handy, dandy bag of hair here will be great at hoping out to the demonstration tape and hair extension boom. So you peel it apart. I look like the Grinch. You know the Grinch is fingers. That'S exactly what this reminds me of: they take a small strand of your hair and they sandwich it in right in between as close as possible to your scalp. It doesn't hurt now, and it's really not that heavy. So basically, what a touch-up is is, after six to eight weeks after your initial install, come back in you get them all taken off and then get them replaced because your hair grows out, and so there's your extension and if an extension does fall out. That does happen. Sometimes an extension fix is $ 15, so yeah you definitely have to have a budget plan for tape and extensions. You shouldn't just expect them to last forever and get them done only once you have to get them touched up. You have to keep up with the upkeep and make sure you have a budget for that. So another question that I got a lot is that how long do they last like? Can you reuse them? Well, so far I've been reusing, the same hair. It hasn't been a problem for me. I haven't damaged them too much. I feel like that's the only time when you have to get rid of them when you get them touched up. They put another thing of like the glue on there, so the glue never really gets wore out. Another question is: how short is your real hair and is there a certain length your natural hair should be so that extensions? Don'T look fake, I'm not really sure about how long they should be, because I know my hairdresser deals with women that have like Bob's and she still manages to make extensions. Look good now. Are they this long? I don't know - and I don't think so, but I don't think that there's a specific hair length as long as you don't have like a buzz cut or a pixie haircut, I feel like you're fine, my natural hair is down to here. I believe, and my hairdresser did a pretty cool thing: how when she was applying the top hair extensions, we use shorter hair and the bottom we use longer, so it looked layered, so it did blend in a little bit more seamlessly. Okay, another question is: what is the length of my extensions there, like 18 to 20 inches? I did have blonde 24s put in worst decision of my life, but that's for a different question and I'll tell you guys why - and this is human hair. It sounds gross because it's not my hair, but technically I bought it. So it is my hair now boom. That'S what you got to do when you have thin hair and you want some length and it's a little bit more added volume. Now this one's pretty important, I feel like to answer - is that our hair extensions as much work as they seem upkeep, washing, styling, keeping tangling and another question I'll add in there is it hard to brush your hair with hair extensions and so upkeep? To be honest, it's not that hard! You just have to have the money for it. Obviously, if verity pinching pennies, then you know they're not that big of a deal you don't have to get them done. It'S just you know glamour. I guess washing isn't all that hard if anything, the extensions made my life ten times easier. That way, because with my thing here, I had to wash it every single day because I didn't they looked super greasy and like it was slicked to my scalp. The only weird thing about my hair extensions is that you have to use a certain shampoo that doesn't have any oils in it or anything like that, and you have to wash like this to get in between the tape ends and make sure that you're keeping your Hair meet like this, and then you could just do whatever else anywhere else, but you have to make sure they actually get in there clean out the gunk you feel styling styling. Is it hard? If anything, I lived my whole entire life to be able to style. My hair, so that's not a problem for me. My hair is naturally like curly / wavy, and I feel like this might be important for some of you as well. Is that do your extensions kind of form and blend in with your natural hair, weird story? My brown ones did perfectly seamlessly the same exact type of wave but with the blond ones. Not so much, and I talked to my hairdresser about this - and that's not really supposed to happen. I feel like I maybe got a dud, but if I do want to leave my hair naturally wavy like it is, then I have to put my hair and a braid to make sure that my extensions kind of wave better. Because if I leave this natural - and I don't leave this natural, you can tell that I have extensions and it kind of looks you know it kind of resembles a mullet. I'M not gon na lie to you, brushing my hair isn't hard at all the only time it is kind of tedious is right when I get out of the shower and it's still wet because then it's like so thick that, like this wet brush, won't do anything Before I never owned, Oh rush, but the second I got teeth and extensions. My hairdresser is like you're gon na want one of those because you don't want it tugging at the extensions - and you know these are just generally. You know better for every single day life and if you have watched my channel, you probably noticed that I always always have my handy dandy, hairbrush, I'm not even kidding at all times and that's why, in my videos, you can see my hairbrush move from here to Here to here to here, because in between takes when I mess up a word, I brush my hair and then I get back at it. If you do have a tangle or your hairs, a little bit knotted, then I would suggest holding it here and then brushing it out like that, because you do not want to be tugging at your roots, don't it'll hurt, you will regret it and it will be Awful okay, the next question is: have you had any horror stories? Also, how do you maintain your hair with your gym schedule? Okay, horror stories. Now we're going back to the 24 inch blonde extensions. I decided to get for some reason. I do not know. God helps me, those things were so difficult to maintain because they were so heavy on my hair, and I did not like it at all. They irritated me. They were too long for me to function to brush. It was a nightmare literally, it wasn't for me. I did not have the patience for it, because my natural hair has never been longer than like this ever so imagine like down to here. I could not do it. I lost like four, maybe even five extensions, because I was just sick of it. I was like tugging on my hair. I was so impatient. Honestly it was a nightmare. My hair suffered so bad because of that, but then I went and I got them cut because I am NOT dealing with that that I refused to ever again. So I went. I got them trimmed like four inches, another nice and reasonable, but on to the next question about how is it to maintain my gym schedule honestly, like I said before, these hair extensions have made my life easier in that aspect, because before you go to the gym, I sweat my hair was super thin and have to take shower, and afterwards it was awful and I know people say well, you know have to get used to it. You have to not take a shower for like three days and then the oil will like start getting used to whatever all that stuff. No, when you have thin hair like meat, there is no such thing as not washing your hair and that's what people don't understand is that there is no such thing as not washing your hair. There'S no such thing. I'Ve only. You think dry, shampoo, no! No, by the time I had an enough dry shampoo to make my hair look, not greasy. My hair was white, even if I got that dye one literally, you could see like it was just you know what looks are good to talk about it. It was awful. So these hair extensions made my life super easy. I put my hair in a low braids. I can't even put my hair in a decent ponytail without my extensions showing and then I go on with my workouts and then after the gym just spray a little bit of dry, shampoo and boom. I'M done and it's the best thing that I've ever experienced in my life now I understand what the obsession with dry shampoo is before. I did not understand it, one bit: okay. Now. The last question is, I want to get hair extensions, but I'm also lazy, AF and put my hair in ponytails all the time. What kind of tensions do you have and is it a pain and try to hide them when your hair is up okay, so it depends. If I put my hair in a little ponytail, it's fine. There is no way that any exceptions are showing. But then again I look like I belong in the colonial times, so I don't do that. I try to avoid that if you just put it in a regular ponytail you're fine, I don't have any problems with it. If you pick a good hairdresser, they should kind of know to not put it way here and I'll put it right here. So the front of your hair can kind of hide the extensions, but when it comes to high ponytails, that's why I do feel tugging on my extensions and one of them usually does show, but usually when I do high ponytails, that's when I'm sweating my butt off At the gym - and I don't care if someone sees my extensions, I paid a lot of money for these bad boys. One tends to show when you notice them, I'm sorry, but I paid money for him and I might as well just show him off. Okay, all right! Well, that's the end of my quick Q & A about my tape and extensions. I hope this helps you out and hope to make the decision on whether you want to get them or not. Remember it like subscribe all that good stuff. Thank you. So so much for watching, if you have thin hair comment down below, and we can just you know cry about it together because you know thin hair truly sucks. Thank you guys so so much for watching. I love each and every one of you. I hope you have an amazing week and I'll see you guys in the next video

Jenny B: Thin hair is the worst nothing like putting your hair up and seeing YOUR SCLAP gleam through!

Tessa161: Girl I can relate to ALL OF THIS. Especially the having to wash my thin hair every day!! What a pain

Brookelyn Elanee: My thin hair is my #1 insecurity. I’m wanting hair extensions for my senior prom and graduation that’s coming soon but it’s my worst night mare for them to be visible since my hair is so thin I can see my scalp. When I get mine in I might cry from happiness. Wish me luck!!!

Ivy Manwaring: I have thin hair also but I use the glam seamless hair extensions and the Invisi-tape ones and they are the absolutely best quality ones for thin hair and I've tried them all, they feel like your hair and don't tug from the weight, also I use the beach blonde ones and they dry with a slight curl or straight it depends on what my natural hair does and it goes along with it. I definitely recommend you try those ones next it's worth it!

Joslyn R: I just found this video while crying a little because my hair is so thin, just as you described! I was scared I couldn't get tape ins because of it but this video has given me hope. Thank you so much❤

Savannah Kaufenberg: I have really thin hair too! It's nice to know there is an option for us thin haired girls! :)

Tanya B: I can relate so much to the rat tail braids, finger sized ponytails and necessary daily hair washing. Currently I wear clip in hair extensions but am thinking about trying the tape ins. It's nice to see a video that answers all the questions in depth and to hear from someone who actually has thin hair. (I hear so many women with average thickness complain about how thin their hair is). Great video!

Tania Swervin: The first 2 minutes of this is fucking hilarious. Just had to put that out there before I continue watching.. love you girl

Lale P.: Wow I completely understand what you mean!!! One of the things that I hated was going to the beach and getting my hair wet... I would look like a bald cat. Also, people are always telling me how bad it is for my hair to wash it every single day. BISH IF I DON'T WASH IT LOOKS GREASY AF. Hahahahahah

Bonnie Wallis: This is such an insightful video, you've covered everything and I love your humour! Your hair looks amazing!

Nice Girl: I love seeing any content from you, and it's awesome to see you branching out!!! You and your hair look beautiful :-)

Lisa Rizzo: Thank God I found this video. I feel your thin hair pain completely right down to the pinky sized ponytail. My hair dresser will be putting in my extensions today and, as I’ve been waiting a week for them to come in, I’ve been stressing on whether I’m going to love them or hate them. This video helped to calm me down tremendously and now I don’t feel as though I’m headed to the guillotine. Thanks!

Brittany Ellex: This makes me less scared of trying extensions. I also have thin absurd hair and if I go more than 2 days without washing to I look homeless. Thanks for the info!

Princess JAK: I can definitely relate! Thank you for this. My hair is very thin and fine as well.

Jeannie Huff: Hair extensions have helped my thin hair a ton. I'd love to know how you get yours so smooth salon looking

Maria: You’re so funny & enjoyable to listen to

Nhu Nguyen: Just subscribed! First video I watched and you literally summed up my life lol

Peer Svensson: I have thin hair and it took me almost half a year of washing it less frequently to see any result, but eventually it did get better.

Yarini Lara: Thankyou so much for making this video, it was very helpful and I love your extensions ❤

Marilyn S: thanks for sharing your story! I have think hair after giving birth to my children ad it's an everyday struggle

Melody Patterson: I've worn tape ins for two years now. I first tried Zala then Bombay hair. I can say, Bombay is by far the best quality I've ever used. Ordering my second set soon!

Dakota Collins: THEY LOOK GORGGG! I've been considering getting these ! I've had the micro beads and the sew ins but I hated them both.. I have fine hair too & heard these will be great for my hair type hence they're light and not too heavy ... but I've been holding off because I want to get really good quality hair to re use them like u do... haha so please do let me know brand yours are?❣️lol thanks doll!!

kaleigh davis: The intro talking about your thin hair made me laugh so hard

Leslie Velez: What brand are they? I have clip in extensions and they are hard to use sometimes unless I curl them, then I can just curl everyday. My hair is thin but not crazy thin. I also have been wanting to try different types either the itip or the tape ins!

Kathleen Largo: OMG, I really feel your struggles. I've got to wash my hair everyday too, I'm super oily and i have really thin/not a lot of hair. I laughed when you were talking about people telling you to not wash your hair for 3 days, I've gotten that too! I'm just like umm.. no. You don't know what it looks like when I wake up. Whenever I've used dry shampoo it just dyed my scalp and then left it looking crunching AND it was still greasy like ew. I'm too poor for extensions but I love you and your videos so I clicked :) thanks for the laughs Elizabeth xx

nadine XO: It's funny because I have thick curly, frizzy hair and I used to wish to have straight thin hair so bad so I would straighten it every single day. Now I love my natural hair and I wouldn't trade it for the world :)

: This video.. So relatable!!

Jocelyn Manquero: Elizabeth can you please do an updated hair extension video ♥️

Vicky Wain-Ferns: Girl, I feel your pain. Love your honesty xx

Dragana Samardzic: I will just share this video instead of explaining it all the time! Thank you

Lisa: You look amazing holy cow

Lindsay Smith: I really appreciate this helpful video. I love your personality and sense of humor. And finally, yes, I have thin hair and it sucks gorilla balls. Just trying to make myself clear... ahem.

Leslie Lathrop: You should make an updated extensions video!

Alycia Roehl: Does anybody have any suggestions on getting more volume in your hair? My hair isn't thin, probably would say a medium thickness. But it's flat af most of the time. I don't blow dry my hair after showering. Why am I watching this video? Idk but it's still interesting to me❤❤

Carmen Diaz: She reminds me of a French/Mexican actress called Angelic Boyer. She does many Hispanic novelas (Teresa, 3 veces ana, ecc)

Princess JAK: Love this so much because my hair is one of my biggest insecurity as well. I'm sorry we're in the same boat as well lol.

Ashley Singleton: Thank you! I found this to be very helpful <3

s_violante_: Every time I see your Instagram pictures I get really jealous and all like "I have to hate her because she's hot" but then I remember yes you are absolutely stunning but you're also a really cool person. Really just the kind of person I want to be friends with.

Anna Elizabeth: My hair is like urs have u tried sew in extensions!? I use clip ins or halos now but I’m thinking about trying sew in extensions if not tape in ty for info I heard the bead extensions r the worst for hair loss those look tho

Zombiie Love Quad Creations: I can totally understand your thin hair struggle!!! It's so true.. You can not go a day without washing it!.. I have always used extensions because of that.. But I have a weird curl to my hair so it has to be flat ironed or it just isn't cute!.. But I have never met anyone else who had the same struggle.

Divya Pal: This is so nice... i jus loved it.. Love u ❤❤❤

Morgan Kay: Girl! I know your pain!!!! thin hair sucks! Have you tried any other form of extensions?. Like the bead ones? I want to try it but I don’t know if my thin hair can handle it.

Sarah Love: Why am I watching this.. my hair is super thick lol I just love watching your videos (btw your hair looks amazing!) But am I the only one who HATES dry shampoo? It makes my hair look clean, but it just feels dirty and gross and I cant stand it. Every time I use it, I can't wait till the end of the day so I can wash it out

Dee Perez: Girl yess!! I feel you on this

lindsay Schallhorn: I know you said the price of the install was 250 but did that include the hair or did you buy that separately? Also what brand hair did you buy and how did you pick the color?

Emily Chan: Lol. You are so adorable with the “I got flat hair....and the not as flat hair”. Cute facial expression.

Cassandra Knight: Your hair is so pretty!

Tiffani Le Doux: Thank you for this video !!

BBSpa124: MICRONEEDLING THE SCALP IS AMAZING FOR TREATMENT THIN HAIR! I swear by it

Anjali Patel: I can definitely relate to this. Having thin hair is THE WORST I will definitely be looking into tape in extensions. Thank you for such an informative video!

Debbie Fiedler: You are so cool. I love your hair and i so have the same type of hair. I had the bead hair extensions and was horrified because you could see them because my hair is to thin for that. Thanks for a great video. Your so funny.

Sarah Rutter: Dudeeee I get you. So many people with thick hair are like oooo I hate my hair, and people with medium say it’s so thinnnn. I CAN RELATE TO EVERYTHING YOURE SAYING ABOUT THIN HAIR MANNNN WOW I ACC FOUND SOMEONE TO REALISTICALLY RELATE TO

Lena Müller: Your hair looks really beautiful Oh and can you please do a at home ab workout?

charlieann82: You were sent to me by Jesus! Everything you say is FACT!!! I’m getting tape ins in a couple of weeks. Can’t freakin wait! Thanks for everything!

A Ortiz: I knew bout tape ins cuz I’ve had them for so long but clicked on here and after you talking bout your thin hair I was like “yaaaas girl!” Lol But I do my own extensions lol, also tape in if done right should never come or slip out

Jessica Wiskerchen: Where did you get the hair from?

Erum Acharya: Thank you for sharing. Good video

Tiffanie M: What brand are these! They are beautiful!

Shayna C:: OMG I relate so much

Rarra rraracion: I have thin hair and im scared that when they removed them or change them idk the process but when they do that....does your own natural hair comes off too? like alot of just a very few hairs?

ku gh: I had thin hair for years. Any slight or gentle tug will cause hair to fall out. After taking iron for 6 months, I now attribute the weakness and thinness to iron defeciency. Y'all get your blood checked and see if you're low in anything

devon richards: Great video! You were straight to the point, and I feel ya with the thin hair thing. Thanks for explaining to us! Your hair looks great.

Jacqueline Gonzalez: Ily more workout please

Crystal X: Yup i got fine hair cant do anything with it, if you dye it or use heat it will not grow. You have to leave it completely alone. Even when it gets long you still cant do anything. I love my tape ins.

Stephanie Clyburn: I have extremely thin hair and I'm about to get tape in extensions Thursday! Someone said you cannot condition your scalp while having these in. Is this true? If so how do I keep from getting knots in the top of my hair?

A Google User: Very I formative video, only thing I don't get, why the hell would you BLEACH your hair when in the first place you know your brown hair was dead limp and so thin. Going blonde maybe wasn't the greatest decision. Regardless I love how real you keep it. I have very thin hair and literally now go a week without washing my hair. I know it sound gross but trust me it has helped the life of my hair so much, it's healthier than ever.

Wisdom: Lmao thank you for you ur honesty

Pink Truffles: is there like a supplement or something to make out thin hair thicker?? like wtf

Lindsay Davis: How many grams of hair did you put in?

Madelaine Bellini: Bleaching can make your hair thinner

Chantal Lanctot: I also have very thin hair but tape ins at my salon are like $800 (Canada) so unfortunately not worth it for the price :(

Ann D.H.: What brand extensions?

Tarin: Be kind to yourself I have thin hair and it is what it is gotta work with what god gave you. I have tape ins and my hair is my num one insecurity but it’s not the end of the world.

Melody Patterson: I have the same bed covering lol

Celina M: Can I buy them online?

Sarah Rutter: Can’t relate enough

Nicole: having thin hair is a curse from satan

sara Gamal: Who went back to her old videos to see her hair before wearing extensions

Haley Taylor: Thinhaircrew

Ashley: Tana Mongeau should do this

Pink Truffles: also are you trans?? im trans are youre so beautiful xx

Ty Hik: nice pal

Jbbx18: So you apply bleach to thin hair hahah

Liv: I have very very very thin hair. I hate my hair. Thinking about a wig topper or tape in extensions...

Patrik: Beautiful woman. Amazing body. And yet, she needs hair extensions. I'm starting to think Ms. Zaks' vanity is bordering on illness.
