Hey guys, so today's video is going to be a little different. Today'S video is going to be a beauty or lifestyle or whatever kind of it. You want to call it, and it is going to be about my hair. More specifically, my hair extensions that I just got put in, I thought that I would do a little review. Slash talk about them kind of let people know what they are all about, because I know when I first started looking into wanting extensions and other things that I wanted to get done for myself for beauty or whatever it may be. I always inspect I dissect, and I really look and try to get a bunch of information out there. So if this is of another video that someone can help that someone can learn from or get some more information on it, I thought I would share with you guys I'm sorry with this video, it's a little rambling and all over the place. They will try to keep it short and simple sweet to the point. There is a lot of information and I may forget about stuff, so I might bounce around a little bit, but if you guys already found, let's go ahead and to be video so first I let me talk about this a little bit. I my natural hair is about right here, you'd be a little bit longer if there's some other longer pieces. So this is my natural hair. It is a little past. My boob, my hair, is very thin. There'S not much to me. This is the length difference of my hair, so I started looking into hair extensions. A few months ago I wanted thicker hair. I wanted more hair. I just wanted to be able to do more with one day, we'll put and keep praise cute ponies and just not have it be this short mess. So I started looking into I found people on Instagram. I started asking people on Instagram. How much is it and it's expensive, just gon na say that right now, it's expensive! You have to pay for the hair itself, which you have to buy or you pay them for it. But that is something separately, so you have to pay for the hair. Extensions of themselves, and then with that you have to pay for the actual service, so some of the hair varies. I paid 150 for my hair actually pay for a total of 300 dollars for my hair so 150 for one set. I guess they call it and you can get anywhere from one two. Three four. I don't know. However many sets you want. I got two because I what she was really recommended was that I get two, because I wasn't doing my hair for thickness. I was doing it for a link, so if I only did one it would be super thin young yourself, they needed to even it out and put an even amount of thickness at the bottom, so it looked natural. So I have to get two sets so 150. Each so I know it can vary anywhere from like 150, so I think I've seen 300 250 274 just one set. So if you need two sets you're doubling up your price, so the prices vary for the color. They vary for the link. So I think, there's 18 inches 20 22, or I think mine, when they first put it in, was 26 inches I'll, try and post a picture here of what it looked like before they had only cut just a little bit off. It was down to my waist. It was crazy and then I decided to trim it a little bit more because I felt like it didn't look very natural, so I wanted to shed a little bit off so yeah. So it's not just the price of the hair and that's it there's. You might need a certain amount of hair the length berries that she want. This is probably about 20 or 22 inches, but, like I said they did put 26 in the process is very very fast. They wash your hair with some type of non alcohol. I think solution and they give it already and basically what they do is they section off your hair and they take a piece of tape and tape behind the hair. So this is your hair. They tape behind the hair with one piece of tape. You take another piece of hair piece of tape and tape. It like that. So basically, you are taping your hair from front to back with hair or a tape pass hair onto it. Um very fast, very easy. It does not hurt. My head does not feel heavy at all. It is slightly uncomfortable because the pieces of tape are still very close to my scalp, so it takes about two weeks before you can start putting your hair up so, but I do want to go to the gym. I keep it in a low pony. I'Ll put it in a low pony to this side or a low grade or something behind my hair, so that's top of my face in that day, you can't what get it wet for 24 to 48 hours. I did good the gym later. That day, I just made sure that it was a light workout, nothing that was going to sweat, because what happens? Is it just? It'S regular tape fast opponents together and if you go and get it wet its point to loosen slip and not stick, you want your hair or get it insanely wet for 24 48 hours and then washing it. So me, I have been training my hair training, my hair. Yes, you heard me right so can go a full day without my hair being greasy and dirty and just nasty I mean it would get to the point where by the end tonight I was putting it up in a pony because it was so gross. So I started training it. I mean for a good two or three weeks. My second day hair, my hair was always in a bun and it was dirty and it was gross, and I felt first because I was so used to showering and washing every day. I can now go completely two days without it, without it feeling gross and by the third day that's when my hair starts to feel gross, I am still training it, but that is something that I recommend you do before you get your hair wash it, but your If you're like me and can't go more than a day without washing it one because it's like anything, hair, color, the more you wash it the more fade, so basically the more you wash it the shorter amount of time it will last for she got my hair Done on Monday - and I didn't wash it until Friday night, so that was very difficult and the reasoning for that is because you have to use a specific shampoo. So the shampoo needs to be paraben free, alcohol-free in sulfate free, I'm assuming that's, because that stuff will cause the tape to slip out. I don't know I'm just going off of what my hair stylist told me. So I had her pick some up for me and this is there's obviously other brands. This is just one of the better brands and the one she recommended. So if i just got it, i don't like to stray from that. I paid a good amount for my hair and i don't want it to get ruined just because identify you know the right shampoo, even if it is a little more expensive. So this is pure ology. This is the hydrating shampoo, and this bottle is $ 28 at Ulta for the slices, eight and a half slow, constant to wash my hair because it didn't happen. The dry shampoo becomes your best friend, so this is the dry shampoo that I use they have. Some are specifically her blonde, specifically for brunettes, but this is a petite. I think that's how you say instead here refresh the dry shampoo, this is just the basic original one. I should see right there. It'S original. I have used the brunette one before, but because my hair is not all brunette anymore, I just think the original. It is your best friend it's the best. I'Ve used other dry shampoos and I don't think they work as well. So you do want to make sure your hair is trained and that you can live off of dry dry shampoo for two or three days. Try to wash it only once two times a week three times a week, probably is even a lot again. I'M not a hair set aside, I'm just going off of what I've been told and what I've read too, because I have looked these up a lot. That'S my first time I washed it and you have to make sure that you get under the tape. So you can't just scrub and be done. You have to really make sure that you get under the pieces of tape and then really make sure you get the water out and the soap. I'M sorry the soap out from under the tape one you're gon na want to cause your hair's gon na start to feel gross in a little bit itchy, because it's just something extra there, that's not there, but when your hair gets wet, it gets heavy. So last night was a little bit difficult for me to wash it because my hair was a little bit heavier trying to get it and it just was like suction cooked to my face, and I was trying to wash it and make sure I get all this Soap out, so I just took an extra you have five minutes to shampoo or not your 10 minutes to rinse all the water out, trying to all the shampoo out to make sure I was doing it correctly. So it's better to let your hair air-dry, because you don't want to use a lot of heat. It'S just like real hair, except it's, not your hair and it's going to fall out a lot easier because it's just being held in by tape. But if you do use any type of heat on it, straightening curling, it make sure you get heat protectant. That is not what I've done and I do need to go and get them. But heat protection is your best friend. He protected her shampoo, and this pure ology shampoo, are probably your best friends, so make sure that you have some type of heat protected when you are using any type of heat on your hair also want to make sure at night that you sleep with your hair And eight loose braids. This is because moving around the tape is at the base of your head, so you're moving around on the pillow and your head's rubbing, which is gon na cause, create little knots and stuff that you don't want around the tape, cause it to get loose exception fallout. Basically, everything you don't want to do is because it's gon na cause the tape to fall out, which is what you don't want. So I put my hair and a light braid at night. Honestly, the extensions don't get very crinkly from it or curly so you'd. I don't think you have to worry about that. That is just my hair. Best friend is going to be one I think the wet brush. These are very easy and soft on your hair. When your hair is wet, you want to make sure you don't brush it. A lot what I did last night as I took a while I brush down here, I would hold it here and I would just lightly brush my hair. While it was wet because my hair does get very good out of when it's wet, you want to make sure multiple times throughout the day, you are brushing your hair from the roots, and you were going over the extensions like there, your hair and breaking up any Small knots that might be created so again I try to brush my hair throughout the day whenever I get the chance, especially if it starts to feel any type of fight, I feel like there's any type of knots forming. I will go ahead and brush my hair throughout the day, but now you just go over some key points, make sure you have pure ology or any type of your been alcohol. Sulfate free, shampoo, make sure you sleep with your hair in a braid at night. Through you, don't wash it within 24 to 48 hours and you keep it down for two weeks or keep it loose and light on your hair. So you don't tug on any of the tape in extensions. I hope you guys enjoyed this video about boot is very helpful for you guys. I just wanted to sit and kind of share with you guys what I did. What I've been through amazing today, there's so much hair they're, so beautiful, I highly recommend getting them, but I would definitely check with a stylist and make sure that your hair is correctly or anything like that of the store. If you have any questions, xx, question then that's their job and you want to make sure that you're getting a good job and you are going to treat them and be able to take care of them right and have the right shampoos and etc. They are going to be money to moved up every six to ten weeks, so make sure you move up. You go on to schedule an appointment every six to ten weeks to get your hair or to get the extensions moved up of it because they will drop with your hair as your hair grows. So that is a key thing. It'S not like they're just gon na stay there. You will have to go ahead and get them moved up, but I hope you guys enjoyed this video. I hope it was very helpful and you learn something from Matt hope. If you guys came across this video and you're looking at to get extensions, I hope it swayed you in the right way and it didn't scare you away. I'M sorry if this video was a little rambling or all over the place. I hope you guys enjoyed the video today and I'll see you all in the next one bye guys

MinaB: In that case my hair is super trained.lol I can go about 8 days without washing without it looking very oily. At the moment I wash my hair once a week, never more than that. I'm getting my tape extensions done in a couple of days, very excited/nervous.

Kimmychi: Tip: take a bath instead of a shower, it helps ease off the weight as it will enable your extentions to float and it will also make it easier for you to really wash in between your tape in extentions.. :)

Monica the Maniac: Would you help out a gal and share the salon?! you look so stunning ✨

Toga Emrich: I can go a week and a half without washing my hair and also dry shampoo was a life saver

Liz cookie's: Thank you for sharing

clipinqueen: Good video. I just wanted to make a note that you don't need to use 'special shampoos' for extensions. I have been wearing extensions for years and use all types of shampoos including those with sulphates. Good hair will last but it does need deep conditioning.
