How To Apply Tape In Extensions At Home 2020 Ft Sassina Hair

Hey guys welcome back to my channel sam, thank you so much for watching if you're new here welcome and thank you so much for joining me so guys today, i am going to attempt to install some tape in hair extensions to my hair. I have never done this before, and i've been wanting to do tape and extensions for a very, very, very, very long time. And i got the opportunity because a brand called sassina hair reached out to me and they wanted me to go ahead and try out review their hair and share it with you guys. So i agree to it. The hair looks absolutely amazing, so i'm going to go ahead and share with you guys the hair, the process and i'm going to give you guys a discount coat as well. When i drop videos every monday, wednesday, friday and saturday, and let's get into the video guys, i'm gon na go ahead and show the box the packaging go over some details and then we're gon na go to my bathroom and attempt to install this hair and i'm Gon na show you guys how my hair is looking. Obviously you can see a little bit right now, but basically this is what the packaging looks like. This is by the company sasina hair. Now they sent me a total of four packs of hair they're, both in here totaling 50 grams per pack - 20 pieces each pack. So i have around 80 pieces of hair. They recommended 60 pieces for a full head, but being that my hair is pretty short and blunt um, they were kind enough to send me an extra pack. So this hair is a color 2 and it is 18 inches long. You can choose from multiple different colors and multiple different lengths. I believe the shortest is 16 or 14 inches that you can get, and this is what one pack of hair looks like. The hair is also 100 virgin hair. Now i don't know much about taping extensions. I know a lot about weaves and clip-ins that i do the most but taping extensions. I really don't know much about and i really wanted to get into the tape extension hair situation because i love having longer hair but clip-ins are just kind of annoying. I want more of a permanent solution and this seems like something that's more permanent for me that i don't have to clip in and out and they seem more lightweight and they might end up being less damaging overall. So this one pack costs eighty dollars for 18 inches, and this is 50 grams 20 pieces of hair, which is a little bit more expensive than you would pay for actual clipping extensions, but one it makes sense because it's virgin hair 100 virgin hair too. This is hair you can use over and over and over again i have clipping extensions that are about 200 bucks. So if you really think about, if you bought three of these, it would be around the same price or a little bit more by the time. You got the third pack if you needed a full head, depending on your hair's thickness and length, etc. Um. So i think it's pretty comparable to clipping hair extensions, at least good clipping, hair extensions. But i think i can get more work out of this, because i've noticed that clip in hair extensions sometimes tend to get a little bit more tangly, which can be annoying. So i'm hoping that this is virgin hair and all the cuticles are aligning in the same direction and i can wash these and keep them in my hair permanently that this is a great great great option for me. So i'm gon na go ahead and go to the bathroom guys and we're going to figure out how to do this. I'Ve watched a million videos on how to do this, so i think i can do it well. I know i can do it if i've done crochet on myself. I think i could do tape and extensions on myself um, so it shouldn't be that hard, so yeah, let's go ahead and try this out. Alright guys welcome to my bathroom, i'm sorry in advance. If the lighting is terrible, i'm trying my best. I need to go ahead and change these light bulbs out but anyways. So let's go on and go with this process so um you guys can see my hair texture is actually curly and the thing well, it's not curly right now, but it is naturally curly. You can see at my roots right here that they have a little bit of weight to them, and initially i didn't want to do tape ins, because i was a little concerned about um my hair situation in terms of like the care for it and if it Would stick, it would get messed up when my hair got washed, but i've seen a lot of videos um on black women having tape ins and their hair seems completely fine. So i think that i should be okay, um, so yeah. I'M really excited to do this because i have short hair. My hair has grown back a lot because i recently cut it off in when was it. It was march 1st i cut my hair like right here and or like the last day february, something like that. Like right here and it's grown back actually quite a bit really nice and healthy, so i'm happy with that, but i'm a little nervous about this process, so the basket gives you instructions. It says, make sure your hair is clean without any conditioner before applying. Obviously, you wash your hair out thoroughly remove the white cover of the tape extension to expose the super tape line up the extension directly, even with the scalp and attached by pressing the desired piece of hair. Double the thickness by adding another layer to the underneath of the piece very important sandwich, a thin strand of your own hair, make sure, when brushing the hair, be sure to brush properly and hold the roots to prevent pulling on the bone. Okay, so i think again, i think i understand now i feel, like i'm blabbing a lot, so let me go ahead and show you guys my hair right now. Let me go ahead and brush it out, so my hair is pretty blunt cut, it's pretty full. I don't have super thick hair, but i don't have thin hair sorry. I have a ginormous forehead, especially at this angle. It makes it look way worse, um, i'm gon na stop rambling and get into this now disclaimer. I have no idea what i'm doing. I'M not a professional, but i feel like i've had enough experience with hair extensions, and this should be something that can be easily done at home, um and because who has time to go pay someone to go. Do this i mean love all the hairdressers out there, but um super expensive today. I know get this done, ranging from like two to three hundred dollars: um just to get it installed, not including the hair. So sorry, i'm saving that money and i'm doing it. My name self um, so this is what the hair looks like itself. It'S super nice. This hair color is actually pretty close to my hair. It'S a color chew and i actually went ahead and put a dark brown rinse in my hair today, because my hair was a little bit lighter than this, but my ends are still a little bit lighter. I guess i didn't leave the rinse and long enough, so i think it'll blend. I think, next time i'll go ahead and put another one. I guess i guess when i'm going to take these out in a couple weeks. Hopefully they last me a couple weeks if they last like two months. I would be so happy because i could have like long hair all the time i wanted to be able to wake up and, like my hair, be done and like i can go about my day or i can wash my hair and maybe do like a tight Braid and it kind of pulls the hair down. I can just have a nice wave to it. Instead of like doing all this work to blow dry and flat iron and then add tape, ins i mean clip-ins tend to be so annoying. So i don't mind doing the work now and reaping the benefits long term for at least a couple of weeks, um yeah. So the hair is really really pretty really soft, really silky. I don't think i'm gon na have a problem with this. This is what 20 pieces look like and at first i was a little concerned about how much hair i got granted the strands themselves. Look really nice and thick from root to tip, so the hair quality is amazing, but i think this is just how it goes in terms of tape, ins, um. It looks like a little bit, but by the time you put your fourth or third pack in it kind of fills out evenly throughout the head. So let's just go ahead and get started, because i also forgot to mention that in the box you actually get two packs. I guess that's how they package them up is two per box. You get additional tapes and then you get this really nice rubber um clamp for your hair, which is nice, and i got one in each box, so i have two of them. So now i have extra. So i'm actually going to use these clips today. All right guys, i also forgot to mention that when you're doing this you're going to need a couple supplies nothing major you're going to need, of course, a flat iron for the adhesive just to make sure it's hot and it sticks you're, going to need a tail Comb or rat tooth comb, they actually provide this in the box for you and you're going to need a paddle brush um just to brush out your hair. This is basically going to be your best friend throughout having hair extensions to keep them detangled and then obviously you're going to need your clips that they provide and any other clips that you may need personally so yeah i'm going to go ahead and get started. Looking like so far so this is the bottom layer i did. This is the top layer keep in mind. My hair is really short and blunt, so i'm going to have to keep working it, but i think the pieces that are underneath are actually disguised really well. Now i really like these taping extensions, but tape ins are harder to install than i realized and i think if you have some help, let's say you can't go too professional, but i think if you have someone here, helping you, it will make your life so much Easier than doing it by yourself, especially in the back, i think when you get to the sides in the front, you won't really have an issue, but i think the back portions are the hardest. So if you can have someone help you, i definitely recommend, but this is what we're looking like. So i'm going to go ahead and keep going, it's been around 45 minutes or so maybe 50 minutes, but i'm also taking my time so yeah. Let'S keep going good and natural. I just have to do this little piece right here in the front, then i think i'm going to be done for this side. I did end up opening the fourth pack of hair, because once again my hair is short, so i think it's better that i use um more hair if your hair is shorter because look how seamlessly this is blending in now versus less packs. It would be more noticeable and the hair is like really nice and full it's like so weird, because i can. I can't feel anything it feels like it's my hair and like, oh, my god, i'm so excited it looks really really good. The texture actually blends really nicely with mine, so i just did a piece right there. Now. Let me just go ahead and put the hair back over onto this side where it needs to be, and then i'll know what other piece i need to put overall. So this side, i still need to put a couple more pieces in right here, maybe like three, maybe on this side, um the back is perfect and then this side. I think i just need to work with this front area, because this is like really short, obviously, and i'm not going to cut short layers like that short into this. So, first of all, this brush is through like a breeze it, like literally i just stuck my hair. You can't tell me this is not my hair, like i know i can curl this and my hair is going to curl so nicely like. Why was i not doing taping extensions before? Oh my gosh? This is amazing, like what okay, i'm obsessed like, i can't like i'm, i'm obsessed, i'm so excited i feel so liberated and free to like not have like clippings in this is so lightweight. There'S like nothing - and i feel like someone can like go like this accidentally on your head and not even feel that you have anything in your hair and you might be able to trick them and say it's your hair. So that's the cool part. So i think i just need to work on this front portion. I think this is gon na, be my last piece on this side and i need to style it. So that's why it's kind of poking out and i might have to cut like a thin thin layer into it, a light layer. I should say all right, so i think this is good. Now, i'm not gon na sandwich. This all the way to the front, i'm gon na, do it a little bit like a half an inch back underneath, but i still wanted on that top piece to blend. So i put it underneath that piece and i press press press, press press and then i take one more piece and sorry guys that looks so pale in this bathroom, because this lighting is like so bad, okay and then i'm going to take the second piece. Keep that on the front and match it up with the last piece. So i'm only leaving about this much out in the front right here and then i'm taking my flat iron making sure all this is smooth and then i'm going to hold my flat iron on this piece just for like three seconds, so it like melts into one Another and then i'm gon na brush it and then let me go ahead and take this other section and put it back over and see if i so, let's go ahead and do this side and then i'll be back to show you guys the finished result. We can go ahead and style this and maybe i'll, put on some makeup and then we'll chat about it and yeah guys. Oh my gosh, i am finally done with these taping extensions. I only have two little pieces left, which is perfect, because i can save that in case of emergency. How good does this look? I did not style, i did not flat iron, i did not cut or anything, and this looks like really really really good. Let me go ahead and show you guys the back actually remember my hair is not flat ironed or anything or blended into it, but i say for it being all dented and stuff like that, it looks really good and it has a natural nice flow and four Packs was the perfect amount um, i think what i'm going to go ahead and do with you guys is i'm going to cut this hair like a nice little trim and this 18 inches is like the perfect length for me. So i'm going to give it like a light trim. I'M not good at stuff like this, but i'm gon na do my best all right, i'm not gon na cut anymore. That'S making me quite nervous, so i'm just going to go ahead and style this and then i'm going to go in better lighting and show you guys. The final final final result all right guys. This is the final result. What do you guys think? I did a very light trim and i went ahead and curl they just put like three four big curls in it, big chunks and guys, i'm literally obsessed like, could not believe that i did this myself. I cannot believe how lightweight that the hair feels like i'm so used to having either maybe like a weave clip-ins and when you have clip-ins in even though i started to buy the seamless they're lighter, you still feel them. You still feel them at their root and the clips tend to be uncomfortable, sometimes um, but these are a hundred percent comfortable. I can't even feel it if you touch my hair, you can't even tell i have tapings in it just feels like i have really nice thick hair and if my hair was long, i feel like my hair would look exactly like this. It'S seamless, i can put my hair in a nice ponytail. This is the back. That'S what the back looks like i'm like so happy with this, and the hair quality seems amazing. I haven't had one tangle thus far and i've been flashing, my hair around being dramatic and like i i can't get over it just looks so so so good it looks so natural and the color actually works perfectly with my hair.
