It'S not permanent, so i can't really ruin everything. Oh my god! It'S coming up! It'S coming off! Whoa hi everyone! So today i'm talking you through how i do my own taping extensions from home. I know crazy, i mean if i've managed to be able to do it, i'm pretty sure you would be able to do it. It'S really not that difficult and i'm pretty shocked at the results. First off i filmed this a while back in my uni room when i was actually putting them in for the first time and the footage is all over the place. I was stressed as hell kind of put these in because i was like i don't know. What'S going on, what am i doing, someone help me and the majority of the footage is out of focus, so i apologize for that today. I am doing a bit a bit crazy, probably going to go wrong knowing me, but i'm going to try and do my own extensions from home. I'Ve never had extensions before, but i'm just a bit fed up with the length of my hair right now. I had it quite short about a year and a half ago now and i've been trying to grow it out for maybe like nine months. But it's it's going slow and i just want to have long, princessy hair. Obviously it's not going to be crazy long, just because i don't think crazy long as me, i kind of want like a hair sort of them, so we'll see see how it goes. I'M not well well experienced or trained in this. I'Ve watched a fair few youtube videos, and here i am trying to do it for myself. Here are my tape ins. I actually did tone them last night. I just had like a warm bowl of purple. Shampoo. Don'T cut them in for a bear and then wash them out and then put a little bit of conditioner in and wash that out and they have toned a lot these are. I didn't turn all of them just because i was getting really lazy and it's taking a long time. These, oh they're, a bit nutty sorry. So these are the original, color and ease of the tone. I don't know if it will come up on camera very well, but these are definitely more usher and more suitable for my hair, and if i need these, i will use them anyway. They are thinner towards the end which it is noticeable, but i think naturally, most people's hair is standing towards the end and i think i'm probably going to chop him a bit, because this is a little too long for me. So this is the full length. Obviously, these bits at the front are a little shorter i've, basically just googled a placement picture, so that is going to be my reference. I'Ve got my mirror, but i think i'm going to head to the bathroom to start off. First of all, so i can really see the front and back, and i will see you there - i've tried my bathroom there's no way i can put my mirror so we're just going to have to go for what we can manage and i don't have any like. Sectioners, so i'm just tying my hair up, it's going fabulous, i'm going to do the bottom tape and then the top tapes, hair extension extension and your sandwich get it. I need i need to change my setup. My room is not lying for the behind the next one. I saw someone take a mirror to their wall. I'Ve only got this one here we go. I think i can't see what i'm doing. Oh, my god, the first one's thin. Oh, it does look quite different to the rest of my hair color, but hopefully once i get a lot in, i know the underneath my hair are always darker anyway, i would come and give an update, because it's going quite well. Obviously i haven't done the layer. I'M just doing right now it is very thin at the ends, but i'm thinking about, like literally just cutting it to here. So hopefully i keep doing this fingers crossed because we are praying here, because i think these will be a pain to get out and i'm going out tonight so hopefully that i'm liking it so far. Do you think it is a little light for the rest of my hair, but hopefully once i've got it all in it won't be too noticeable i'm about halfway right now. My hair feels so thick like here, where there's so much hair. Like my normal hair and the extension, i love peel the tape off the first one, i'm going to use i'm going to take the section that i want to stick to grab the extension under the hair as close to the root as possible. Then stick your actual hair to the tape there we go and then you take the second piece and just stick it to the one you've just done, i'm not very good at lining them up, i'm not a neat person. So, that's probably why that looks good on the side. This is the good side, but the other side bit was not far across i'm just using straighteners and then my fingers to really get squeezed with them tight. The last two pieces. I do think i need a few more, so i might have to do another packet because, especially like up here, there's a lot of hair that needs to be sorted. So i think my last two bits i'm just going to go here on both sides and then we're going to give myself a little haircut that one was dreadful typical. When i get my camera out yeah, it's not really in the place. I wanted it to be. This way, but what can you do it's just so much hair on top. That means the thickness is very evident. I'M going to curl it as well later and see if turning it will have any difference. I'Ve just got so many tik tok songs stuck in my head because i have no life and as a 21 year old i find fun and ticked off. I'M actually tragic. Last one. What do you think? I'M relatively happy? Don'T i don't even know if i'm gon na yeah, i should probably chop yeah especially down here. You don't need these bits. I feel like this is where [ __ ] is going to hit the fan. Should i watch a tutorial on this? Probably will i know, i'm gon na go just doing these upper strokes, because this is what i see all the time at the hairdressers. There is this this section here. I literally need one here so bad, which is annoying. I'M pretty impressed with myself and pretty happy with the result. It'S weird having such hair, like you can feel it on my back and i'm like. Oh my god, that's mine. I thought i would take time now just to kind of describe the process a bit more and talk a little bit more about them and how they've been keeping up, because god i put them in like two months ago now, so it has been a while. But that's that let's get into it a bit more, so these are from amazon and yeah pretty cheap for what they are. So i didn't really mind buying them because i was like if it doesn't go well, it doesn't matter it's not like i'm splashing out on like really really expensive ones. However, i do think next time like when these completely go dead, i might buy a few more expensive one, because these do dry quite quickly. But i know your natural hair doesn't get dry because you have like oils in your scalp and stuff, whereas there's no real oils getting to this. So that's one thing i would recommend is like putting oil and being very, very nice to your hair like doing hair masks and all sorts of stuff like that really does make a difference. They stayed in really quite well, it's quite difficult to put in that's my only thing, so i tend to wear my hair in like a low pony anyway. If i'm tying up, i don't try and chuck it back and put it on my head, but my placement was a little bit off. So if i put it on the top of my head, you can see the tape. So if that's an issue for you, i'd probably recommend you getting them done properly, instead of trying to do them yourself at home because it ain't gon na work. To be honest, it's not gon na happen. Yeah, i'm definitely happy with the results and i've somehow fallen out. I'M going to be honest, but i think that's more to do with my application, rather than the extensions and the glue themselves. So i have and taped a few back in here and there and putting them back in was actually super easy. So i just like re-washed them like let them soak in conditioner for a while and then just peeled off the tape and put new tape back in, and then i left them like put them back in just how it was that was that so they're reasonably high Maintenance, i would say, because you need to brush them all the time going to bed. I would sleep with my hair in like a low pony and then plait the ponytail just so they don't get tangled, because that is an issue you need to brush them. Quite a lot because, especially at the back of my head, like where you get the regrowth, i often get like quite naughty there, so i need to make sure you're constantly brushing it to avoid that from happening. I have actually trimmed these quite considerably, like they're, probably like down to here at first, but i just found like they do thin out towards the end so trimming it made them look like better anyway, because it was quite thin at this sort of end, and it Just wasn't really the length i was going for. I have actually had a few more fallout, so i do need to re-put some back in, but my hair actually really needs to wash right now. It'S greasy up here, dry down here, it's a bit everywhere, but it's not too bad. I am really really quite happy with them and yeah. I'M really glad i did it. It'S literally giving me such confidence having long hair, i feel like a new woman, but let me know if you try them. I will link where i bought them for in the description and if you have any questions, please feel free to dm me, because i promise i will help you. I had no clue what i was doing so if you're thinking about doing this, don't stress don't stress like i can't believe this is me now like. I look at pictures of my self with like normal hair and i'm like who am i like how how i hope you enjoyed watching this, and i hope you may be inspired to do it yourself. Do. Let me know if you do it yourself, because i'll be super interested bye,
