Beauty Works X Jen Atkin Tape Hair Extensions Review | Fashion Slave

Hi Guys!

I've been super excited to show off my new hair.

As some of you may know, I've worn hair extensions for yeeeears, and finally I'm trying out this awesome tape method!

It's my favourite ever method of hair extensions application because it's so quick and easy to apply, there's minimal damage to your hair, and it is so easy to maintain and style - they fit so flat on your head.

I went with Beauty Works new Jen Atkin range of Invisi-tape extensions and had the colours Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive to give a really gorgeous balayage effect.

I had mine done by the wonderful Lucia in London - check out her instagram page right here and make sure you give her a call if you want princess hair too https://www.instagram.com/luciafarnesi...

Hi guys welcome back to my channel so today I am just talking all about my new hair extensions. They are beauty, works, genetic in collaboration, tape, extensions and they're, so so great. I honestly think these are the best hair extensions I have ever had in terms of you know how they look in my hair and how they fit my head, and the application is amazing if you have been following my youtube channel since its creation, which was a Really long time, but was not really long as a couple years ago, yah, okay and I did a video about my hair extensions then, and I had buns, which are great. I do really love bones, but I just felt like I wanted to try something new and want to have some. It didn't feel like. It was quite as harsh on my hair as a bon soir and I tried my coverings before, but I felt that they were a bit too bulky my hair and I found that a really visible. So I was like right. Okay, I need something: that's not that damaging and I need something: that's not very visible and anything that's really easy to maintain, and basically I thought that didn't exist, but luckily Beauty works. Who are someone that I've been? You know using I've been using a half years now and they have done a range weird celebrity hairstylist, Jenn Atkin and it's amazing, so they've created tape. Extensions and this method is super super cool. So it's basically it strips around like this wide of half and that's kind of a bit like a hair sandwich. If that's how I could describe it, so it's like double sided, sticky tape with hair on either side and what you do is you peel apart? The hair and it opens up, and then you slip in some of your own hair, like thin sliver of your own hair and you wedge it between close, it shut and a tape sticks to it, and then you just clamp it shut like that. You know not. Everyone can really do this themselves, so you're supposed to go to a specialist, and I found Lucy Afanasy through Beauty, works, Instagram and she's amazing she's based in southeast London and she's, like she's, so pretty like ariana grande, which is something I'm very jealous about. So I went to her for a color match and I've kind of had my hair the same completely the same color for a while. I really wanted to go lighter and do the whole like balayage thing and she color matched me with a color which was very similar to my own, and then this lighter one which is blended through so nicely to create this, like all subtle, highlights and effect all The way through - and I was so happy with it - the shades of use, work, Rodeo Drive and Beverly Hills and the really all something about it is you don't have to dye your own hair to get this effect now I always I mean I think I bleached My hair once and that was when I was in uni and I was like I'm so bored of being a brunette. I went out and got one who's, just like Beach kits and just put bleach all over my hair and it kind of turned out this really weird orange color, because best thing about these, they go in so quickly. I was probably there getting my hair done for around 3 hours and that took removal. The removal and the curling was actually the longest part. So, as for pricing, that's the thing that we do end up paying more money, so the hair itself can be around 400 to 500 pounds for a full head, which is four packets of hair, whereas the labor is usually a lot cheaper because it doesn't take very Long and it's so super simple to put in maintenance is like a quite a bit like super easier. You go back and they just basically take the extensions out using a solution and they retake them and put them back in. You are supposed to go back. Every eight weeks, and as for other maintenance that washing them it's kind of on those similar things that, if you already wear hair extensions, you are probably very used to looking after them. And you know that you know if someone asked you what you're doing tonight and you say oh yeah washing my hair, they might laugh and be like. Oh, my god know what you're really doing tonight in your and no seriously I'm washing my hair because it takes a whole night to do it because you've got you know. I use the beauty works like whole routine, so I've got the shampoo, the conditioner, their masks and their heat protection spray and the oil. So I use everything and it takes a long time and as for hair styles, I have quite what people ask me before about different extensions, that all can you wear your hair up, but can you do this? It all depends is on how much hair you have already how many extensions you're getting in, and things like that. I went for a full head, so there's not really too much room to play around so things like Dutch braids. I can't do them anymore, because you will see the extensions at the back of my head, which is fine, because I never really did that anyway, only one ever did it in the gym, like a normal Dutch like like that's like, if I was doing two Dutch Braids, but if I'm doing just one its that would probably fine, I could probably get away with doing that, and also people ask me like: what's your hair like when, so I actually found that my extensions were way more visible when I had bonds because I've got Them sort of dotted everywhere and I did get quite lazy - we're trying to hide them, whereas these because they're in strips they're a lot easier to sort of flip up and hide and stuff like that, they're really good as well. If you know, you've been trying bonds for years and you like the whole like individual sort of method rather than a big strand of a weave, because that's one thing I was really worried about, I didn't want to get a weave because I didn't want to have Like the big strips of hair coming across my head, and that's really nice, because because they're soft, it's a little bit'men in between between having a weed and having bonds, because it's sort of little strips of hair, like that, I wash my own hair on my head. Like the top little section, I will do like a really like gross little sink, wash of that probably two times a week. But I don't wash my extensions usually more than once, every five to seven days. Just because I don't want them to dry out and that's something that happens quite a lot with extensions anyway guys. Thank you so much for watching this video and Bruce Oreck keep touching my hair. Someone said in a video before low. It'S like you get. You have headlights because you keep touching your hair, so much you're sick and I promise I'm with you again, but I just keep like fluffing it up but anyway. Thank you so much for watching and let me know below what you think of tape extensions and if it's something that you'd like to try I've, also added Lucy as details. So if you live in London and want to get your extensions done by her, you can find her at that email address and find her Instagram and everything, and also, let me know like if you, what kind of at your favorite method extensions, are because I was Like knowing this, because I know people have not really liked different, I've got some really difference who just are diehard weave fans and they will not try anything else and I've got some friends who were just like you know. My career rings till I die today. It'S already good, I mean the good thing is you can always find a method to suit your hair? I like no matter what kind of hair type and what preference is so anyway yeah and make sure you like the video and subscribe by clicking the box below somewhere, and thank you for watching.

Cate: Hi- Thanks for the video. Can I ask, did you find the quality of the Beauryworks tape hair better quality than the sticks used for micro-rings? My micro ring Beauryworks hair has just lasted 4 months (I coloured it once, but eventually it had too many split ends for my liking) - will this last longer without splitting? xx thank you xx
