Omaha Hair Extensions

Hey guys Tamika Omaha, hair extensions. I just wanted to take a few minutes to report a video about a certain type of extensions that has become very popular, but I'm thinking people are not really prepared for what is involved with this. This is the tape in extensions. First of all, let me say that taping extensions are extremely extremely wonderful for people with paper paper, thin hair, and I meet a lot of girls like that now. The best thing is, you know if you have hair on top to be able to cover, but you just it's just thin and you know it it um, it's just been and you you want thickness and length. Tapes are wonderful for giving you both of those you sandwich the hair in between the tapes. That'S one way to do it a new way that they're doing it is where you sandwich the hair between one thing of hair and then just the tape on the back. For those who don't want as much volume, the thing that you must understand, though, about tape ends, is this tape ends the first time you put them in our wonderful because it's so quick, it's very quick to put in. I do reinforce mine once they heat activated glue, just because I don't care what any tape company tells you. Those tapes don't last past two weeks as far as it adhesion. So if you're wanting the tape is to last between visits with your hairstylist, like most of my girls, come between every four weeks and every eight weeks to get them retake, here's the part you don't expect or don't know about it's really fast, the first time, because Your technician just puts them in real quick when you come back, your technician has to use a special remover to get the tape out and, of course, for me it's also to get the glue out. You know so a special removal for that that takes time. The next thing is, your technician has to clean the area on the tape hair that has to be put back into your hair. That takes time. Your technician is then, going to wash your own hair clarify it. Okay with the clarifier no conditioner, you can have no conditioners because it'll make it so that the glues and tapes long won't stick. And then your technician has to theoretically reapply tape to this area of the hair extension that will be going back into your hair. That takes time, and then, of course, you know if you get a hair, color or highlights and things. So this is a time-consuming manner matter. Once you return for those tapes to be reapplied, some people do it where they just leave the hair with the technicians for her to do all the work either way. You'Re gon na have to pay for her to do the work. Some people will also buy a halo extension. You know that is the one with the clear fishing line looking thing across there and it has the hair so that they can rest in between their hair extensions service. So they'll leave the tapes put the halo in and that way they can rest in between. So I just wanted you guys to know what is involved when you come back to get your tapes reapply all right. Thanks,

Joel Bowers: Used the tape many times. I removed the tape with regular olive oil, it comes of with no problems at all.

Ahkilalah: Not sure why all the comments here a rude. Anyway, great vid, thanks for the info. I was considering tape ins and thought you were gonna say something scary. Lol. So glad you were just talking about install time!!!

Anon: I have very fine, fragile hair and I have never had a tape be loose or fall out. But that is probably because i have more tape on tape, with a teeny tiny amount of hair sandwiched in. If you try to tape to too much hair, then they will fall out because it needs to be tape-on-tape for a good hold.

Anon: I do the removal from my hair with neutrogena fragrance-free sesame oil. It is sooo much better than the goo-be-gone smelling stuff or the alcohol product. But it takes some stronger soap like gentle dish detergent or baby shampoo to wash it out of afterwards. So i remove my tape ins myself, the day before my appointment. Then if im using really high quality, expensive hair , you still have to remove the glue-sticky mess from the hair extension, then wash and condition the hair-extension wefts. Then you have to reapply new tapes to each weft. I do all this at home myself and it is sooo tedious and takes a few hours. But better i do it than sit at the salon waiting and paying someone else to do it. I take all my wefts back to my hairdresser as if they were brand new. We have got the process down and i hand her the wefts and the tapes as she is doing it. Takes about an hour now at the salon. Ps, i do the single sided taping, instead of putting 2 wefts together because my hair is too fine and not strong enough to hold the weight of 2 wefts. Pss, if you dont have any single sided tapes and you want to try , place a whole sheet of double-sided tape onto saran-wrap. I wrapped the saran tight across a flat dish and stuck my sheet of double sided tape to it, then i carefully cut the tapes to separate them.
