Okay, so today, as you can see well, if you're new, you won't know, but i'm gon na inform you, i have something very new going on. I don't think i've ever done anything like this. No, no! I don't think i've never done anything like this. Personally, i'm a wig girl. I don't want to say guru, but i'm a wig guru. I love my wigs only because, typically i keep my hair very short and wigs just work for me, they're very convenient. My hair typically doesn't get to the point where i can have any kind of leave out or any kind of versatility. I love keeping my hair short, i like to slick and go i'm always on the go. I don't like to have to maintain or manage my hair under underneath granny. My hair is not long, but if you guys have been following me for years, you guys know my hair does not get long. It does not get in the bun status. Nothing like that. I can't do anything with my hair but slick it back, but lately my hair has just been growing growing growing, so i'm running with it. I feel like i'm itching to cut it again, but i probably won't do it to the end of the summer. I'M probably gon na. Do you hear how windy it is? It'S always so windy. That'S spooky, huh, anyways, um i'll, probably cut it at the end of the summer, not sure yet but like i'm like, but i'm loving, i'm loving so anyways. Today, i'm going to be doing clip-ins and today's video is in partnership with lace, paste. I'Ve worked with them plenty of times and i love them. I love their products. I love what they offer. I love how versatile and different their whole approach to hair is so i'll, of course, be leaving a link down below to their website to show you the things that they offer wigs hair products that you guys always see me use from hairsprays to serums to heat. Protectants as well as kits i'm going to be using one of the kits in this video today, as well as the clip-ins and just all types of things that are very beginner friendly and it's like a one-stop shop, which i think is amazing and it's black owned. Okay, we love that so again make sure you guys check out the description box. If you guys have any questions or you guys want to check them out. So enough of me, rambling, i am going to be talking a lot more throughout this video. It'S going to be super, informative and super fun, so make sure you guys stay tuned again like this video. For me, please subscribe if you're not already and keep watching so today we're going to be working with lace, paste and i just want to say thank you. So much lace paste for sponsoring today's video and today we're going to be working with a clip in kit. I am sure you guys have never heard of that, but today you're going to hear about it all right. So in this kit it comes with your choice of one or two sets of clip-ins of raw virgin hair. You guys know raw hair is like the highest quality you're going to get the most wear out of it longevity. It is personally my favorite, a coloring bowl, as well as a coloring brush and whisk purple, shampoo and conditioner, which are amazing, spoiler alert, a coloring paddle two combs, which i'm going to explain to you guys later on in the video and coloring sheets, which are one Of my favorite products, it was something i never thought i needed until i got them, but they are amazing. So this is the kit and i will be leaving all the information down below for that um on the site. They do offer afterpay. So if you feel like you know, you can't buy it all at once, definitely check out with afterpay. It is worth the investment. So i've shown you guys my hair, it's chicken head-ish all right, but we're going to add some length to this so um. My hair has no rhyme or rhythm, you guys. I had a shortcut and it's just been growing out for the past two years and it's very uneven and very choppy. I i tried to trim it myself and i cut my little bang area too short, so i just stopped myself um, so i'm going to get it professionally cut, probably in the next week or so, but this is what i'm working with now. So i like to section my hair off into a half all right, so the back i'm going to be laying this the track straight across and then, when i get the top get to the top, with the leave out, i'm going to have to you know, put It together, like a puzzle, kind of camouflage it a little bit more and finesse it. So that's what i'm doing so. I start off with the smaller clip in so these clip-ins have two clips in it all right. You'Re gon na have one at that end and that end is very small and i'm gon na part, my hair. So when i show you guys my hair, i never turn around and show the back of my head because it's like kind of an insecurity of mine, but here we are, my hair doesn't grow there like at all ever i'm sure a lot of it has to Do with me wearing wigs and that comb in the back always digging into it, but my hair literally doesn't grow there. It never has. I feel like before i started wearing wigs. It was just a thing, but whatever i'm, i i'm showing you now so i'm past it right right. So i start with the two clips and i add it there, you guys it's very snug, it's not moving and it's very comfortable all alright. So i start with two clips, then i go to the clip-ins with three clips and then i go to the clip-ins with four clips until i have completed the whole back of my head or bottom half of my head and i just go straight across you guys. It'S not a one size fits all thing. You'Re gon na have to do what works for you. You may put the the clip ins closer together. You may space them out more. It is all up to you, i'm gon na be showing you guys a little bit of customization that i did um once i got to the top, but once again just do what works for you freestyle. You can wear this in a middle part, a side part. You can do a flip over method, you can do a half a pack down. You can literally do anything and, as you can see it's just like seamless, it looks so good. I am a clip-in stand now. I feel like i won't have any bad hair days in between my wigs or anything like that, because i'm like wow clip-ins, literally take 20 minutes 15 minutes and you're out the door once you get the hang of it, you guys it's like a one. Two three thing: you don't even really need the comb all right. You can use your hand to part your hair. The parts don't have to be even it's just a really really easy concept. So now i'm getting towards the top and i'm going to be using the smaller clip-ins. I did end up cutting, i believe one or two of the sets that have four clips. I cut them into two clips. You guys are gon na see that in a second, but my hair is very short, so i everything is at one length and i kind of have to finesse it to camouflage my hair a little bit more. So that's why i did that like that. But, as you guys can see, the hair is blending in perfectly once i comb it in you guys. It looks amazing um. I will say that in this first round of me installing the clip-ins, which was my first time literally um - i i installed them wrong right here. I did it wrong. I think i should have just gone across and i did this weird diagonal thing. I don't know what i was thinking in my head, but don't do it like that, but i'm here to show you guys, you know you live and you learn practice makes perfect so um. My main goal at this point was just like applying the clip-ins and not having any like separation with my leave out in the hair, but this was the wrong way. I will show you guys at the end, how to do it correctly, but it still looks really good. So this day i did apply um the clip-ins the night before and slept on it. I'M gon na tell you right now: do not go to sleep on the clip-ins. The clips will hurt your head, clip-ins are not uncomfortable, but sleeping in them are uncomfortable. Wake up 15 minutes earlier, put your clip-ins in and keep it pushing. It takes no time at all, okay, so i would apply them like in the morning and just take them out at night simple. So after this i just continued styling, my hair, i did my baby hair swoop. You know i love a baby hair moment. I love baby hairs with my real baby hair with frontals and but um yeah just sit back enjoy and i'm gon na check in with you guys in a second tell me got ta, be something different you must be is all right guys, so it is the Next day, as you can see, and you guys, the hair looks so good. I wanted to do my makeup and see how i felt about it overall, because that's how you really know if something's, hitting or not, if you put on your makeup and wan na you're gon na see if you're really feeling it or not, you see what i'm Saying - and it looks so good, i did wrap my hair last night, i'm gon na be 100 honest with you guys. Clip-Ins are not the most comfortable to sleep in, and i would not recommend it because i can see how i could definitely pull and yank at your hair um. It'S definitely a put it on during the day type of thing. Take it off before you go to bed, but i just wanted to get a feel of it. I'Ve never done that before. So that was something that you know i had to learn for myself, but other than that. I really do like it. It'S super quick and easy, like you can have a whole hairstyle in minutes, and this is a natural density. These are two sets of clip-ins. I have an 18 and a 20 and it's a natural length. So it's nothing long. It'S not nothing over the top. It literally just looks natural. I'Ve ran a few errands today and now i'm back home, but earlier everyone's like, oh, my god, i love your hair. Your hair is so pretty, oh, my god that i'm like. Thank you. Thank you thank you, but i think it looks so good and i just feel so pretty like you guys know how i feel when i don't have a front salon like. I just feel like i'm really that girl, like this hair, is that it girl hair like wow she's, so pretty she's, so effortless she's, so natural. That'S what this is giving. Okay um! I absolutely love it. This is the hair you guys get into it. It looks really good. It is very secure. I talked about all that already, but i just want to come. Live reporting live to show you guys how the hair looks so i'm going to go ahead and take these out actually um and i'm going to restyle it we're gon na we're gon na we're gon na jazz it up a little bit. So i'm gon na show you guys the versatility of these clippings and i love the hair texture. Oh my gosh lace face you've done it again. Okay, so now for the fun part of this video, i'm gon na be showing you guys, the versatility of these clip-ins and how to put your clip-in kit to use. So these are the products that i'm going to be using to achieve the highlights, i will be linking them down below these can be found at sally's, so this bowl was provided in the kit as well, and it has two sides. So on one side, i'm going to be mixing the 20 developer and then one side i'm going to be mixing the 40 developer, we'll get to that in a second, but i will be using the whisk that came in the kit as well, which is plastic. I learned this year that you are not supposed to be mixing any kind of bleach or developer mixture with metal, and i was using a metal whisk this whole time. No ma'am, you need to be using plastic or if you don't, you don't have access to this. But if you buy the kit you should um. You can use a like wooden um like a wooden stick, but definitely ditch the metal. That'S not what this is for. So for me personally, i wanted to do a more subtle highlight if you guys check out jaquez, who is the owner of lace paste. Her clippings are really bold, beautiful shades of blonde and browns, but i wanted mine to just literally be highlights like i didn't want too much blonde, because if this is going to be a quick go-to hairstyle, i just didn't want anything too drastic for my everyday. So i decided to do something a little bit more subtle. So that's why i went for the 20 developer, because it was only going to lift my hair to a brown not too blonde and to differentiate, which was which i did the 20 developer, with the paintbrush and the 40 developer with the black brush. So this is the comb that came in the kit right. This one is going to help me. Do that teasing method, i'm still trying to learn how to use it, but you know practice makes perfect, and this to me is my favorite method when it comes to coloring or highlighting it gives you that balayage effect it gives you that professional. Look that seamless look without any lines in seconds, so you guys see i'm using the paddle brush here. That helps me distribute the color evenly and it just gives me a nice base to work with, and then i will continue to run my fingers through it comb through it and all of that, and then i apply my um sheets these sheets, you guys are kind Of equivalent to like, when you use foil but foil, in my opinion, over processes, the hair makes it too hot. Sometimes it's uneven. This you're able to lay flat it adheres to the hair. So it's not slipping and sliding around like when you use foil or saran wrap, and it is just the best thing and i'm going to be showing you guys in a few clips too how easy they are to clean, they're reusable. So you don't have to go through a whole thing of foil or a whole thing of saran wrap and get frustrated. You literally just rinse them off, and that's it. So now i'm using the weaving method - and this one is going to give me more like chunky, highlights bolder highlights and i'm doing this with the 20 developer um and i did the other one with 40 developer, because i felt like i wanted. The bigger highlights to just be a little bit more subtle and more brown versus blonde, so i'm doing that and i'm again applying the bleach make sure when you're applying your bleach mixture for one you made it very nice and creamy and you're saturating your product. You want every hair follicle to be saturated in that product, so you can get it even coloring, even though you're just doing highlights you still don't want it to be patchy or blotchy, and i just repeated that throughout the clip-ins um i did like two or three Clip-In clip clip-in sets, i guess you would say um per coloring if that makes any sense. I know that sounds really stupid, but i did like two or three at a time. You guys see how it's like pinned at the top um. You can do one at a time if you want to be very precise, but i went with this coloring method because when you mesh it together and i'm going to show you guys at the end, it just looks flawless like you have your streaks and then you Have your balayage and just is like: oh, it just looks so good. So, just repeat this: until you've done all the coloring, i let it sit on the hair for about 30 to 40 minutes again, i didn't want it too bright, and this is how it's gon na look so now we're at the sink, and it is looking very Like brassy a little scary right, but i'm just gon na rinse it out and i'm gon na go ahead and wash it with the shampoo that comes in the kit. This is like the best shampoo that i've used, because every time i use purple shampoo, it stains the hair or turns it purple or turns it gray, and it's really stressful this one literally does what it's supposed to and tones the hair. So i'm gon na um rinse that developer out for one okay and then i'm gon na proceed with shampooing the hair, and i let it sit on the hair for about five minutes. It tones very quick and evenly so five minutes, and then i also use the conditioner, and i let that sit for about 10 minutes and this conditioner. You guys made the hair so so silky soft, especially after bleaching, your hair can be rough or whatever it just brought the moisture back. It brought life back and the hair was so silky. I was like wow so with using both of those products. It toned the hair perfectly, so you didn't have to use any like well a charm, t18, t27, whatever the heck they used, you didn't have to use that all you needed was the shampoo. So that's all i did me is i i'm is. Did you see how that shampoo and conditioner just toned the hair perfectly all the highlight and lowlights popped? It looks so good, so off camera. I did let the hair dry like 60 percent. I blow-dried it as straight as possible and ran the flat iron through it. Once so that i would get that wave out, because the hair is naturally wavy, and this is what we have it looks so so good, i'm very very pleased with my coloring skills. All right, so i am gon na - be applying the clip-ins, but this time instead of doing the clip-ins on my leave out in the front um horizontal, i did them vertically game changer way better. I don't know why i didn't do that. The first time but, like i said practice, makes perfect and you got ta. You got ta, learn things. Okay, i feel like the clip-ins. You guys are a great alternative to like tape-ins. I know that's really popular right now, but guess what they're really expensive? And i mean it's a very timeless hairstyle in my opinion, but it's also very trendy. So i feel like even if you're thinking about it, you should maybe try the clip-ins, because it's the same concept in a sense, your hair is out in the middle. If your hair is not trained to be in clippings, it's not going to be trained enough to be in the tapings, in my opinion, so i would just say: try something. This is a cheaper alternative. You can have fun with this. This is still versatile and it's something you could do at home all right, so i would definitely check them out. Make sure you guys check out lace paste. I do have a code as well. My code is tasha lp, so you can get some money off of this. Make sure you guys use that code when checking out as well, and i really really think you guys should try the clip-ins. I am like obsessed with them like i'm like wow, it's giving natural it's giving everything it needs to give. So i am gon na go ahead and curl my hair. I did use some more lace, paste products. Let me tell you they got everything you need. It'S like an online beauty supply store with high quality salon products. Okay, i did use the serum, which i love um. It really helped like blend my hair in with the clip ins, it made it a lot smoother because my hair is a little frizzy, so it kind of smoothed it down. And then, when i was curling the hair, i did use um the lace paste hairspray, which is a nice flexible spray, and i did take out that really bright one. I didn't want that in my face, but if you ever want to switch it up, you could put it in your face um, but like look at the shine that it gives my hair and it's so like lightweight, i freaking love it. So now i'm going to curl my hair and you guys are going to see the barbie come to life. Okay, it was just so cute and playful, and just i just think it looks so good so i'll be talking to you guys at the end and again i do have a code with lace paste, it's tasha lp. I will leave that down below and on the screen for you guys to use at checkout all right. Oh all, right guys. So this is the official completed. Look, i absolutely love it. I love how the curls drop. This is exactly what i wanted. I didn't want anything to curl. You know my hair's still in the middle, so i'm trying to keep it sleek, but with a little razzle dazzle. Okay. So before i close this video out, i wanted to show you guys, because i don't know if i explained it enough in the voiceover, because i know it could be a lot going on so um jakui, which is a lace paste owner. She had pre-colored some of the um clip-ins for me for me to see like what it should be looking like. So these are how hers came out. Okay, i'm just gon na show you guys. So this is the um one of the techniques that give more of an ombre effect. As you can see all right and like it actually looks good, you know it's not choppy, but ombre is going to be literally dark from light. It'S not going to be even or anything like that, but it's typically going to just be one solid color. Then you have like the teasing method, which i talked about earlier, which is going to have this kind of effect, more of a balayage kind of effect. I personally, this is gorgeous. Actually i freaking love this, but i for me wanted this to be more of a nap the natural color base. I did not want it to be too blonde, especially if this is going to be my go-to everyday hairstyle. Something that's going to be easy for me. I don't want it to be like, oh, my god, my hair's, so blonde. Oh, my god. I want it to be a little bit more toned down. This one is like way brighter than this one, but it's the same technique, i'm sure she used different developers or left it on for less time. It just shows you all different ways. You can do it. So i did do mines more brown, as you guys can see um and i didn't leave my developer on long at all. I just did my own thing. I kind of like followed, followed the blueprint, but turn it into the pink print. You see what i'm saying, so i just want to show you guys that and also the reason why you do two techniques when you're doing it is because look when you put in the clip-ins for example. So you have this technique and then you have this right. So then, when you put them together and they're in your hair, it's gon na look like this. It'S gon na look like one. So at this point you have like three colors intertwined. If you were to curl this, this is going to look gorgeous. You still have that dark root. It just looks really really good. So, as you can see, the hair is still bouncy shaky. I love it. I actually feel like the hair feels way better after dyeing it and stuff. Maybe it's just someone, i think. Maybe i'm just feeling myself, but i really really enjoyed doing this video thanks again, lace paste for partnering with me for this video. Let me know what you guys think down below. Did you like the hair in its natural state, or do you like it with this color? Let me know down below and make sure you guys check out the description box to get your lace paste kits as well. So thanks so much for watching you guys, and i will see you guys in my next one bye
