Tape In Extensions On Buzz Cut!! (New Technique)

Thank you so much for watching!!! I’ve missed you!! xoxoxo

Hi friends welcome back to my channel. Today'S video is going to be me putting tape extensions in my buzz cut um. I am trying to grow it out a little bit into a pixie um. I'Ve had a buzz now for several years and i'm kind of i don't know yet. I kind of feel like i'm getting to the point where i want it grown out a little bit, but of course you know we'll see what happens anyways um. I have done videos on tapens before and um on my hair being about this short and then some on it being a little bit longer. But this time i'm going to use a new technique and i'm going to show you what that is extensions off of amazon. They were probably about 20, i think all together um, it comes with a pack of 20 and this was in the color 60. I believe - and i did tone it with my purple shampoo and of course i have some purple stripes or streaks through it, but i don't care whatever um, because i'm going to be cutting it anyways. These are the 10 inch ones so really inexpensive, not the greatest hair, but when you're experimenting, sometimes you don't want to spend a ton of money. So what i usually do is put them in and sandwich them. So you put them down and then you pull it up and the hair that's on it. You take another piece and sandwich it right to make like a sandwich um, but because, when i do that and my hair is so short, you can definitely see the tab. Um, which has just kind of been a problem, the shorter your hair is the more problem. That'S going to be so yeah. I wound up cutting the um the strip. Do you see that so this is this is how it is. This is how it comes right. That'S red nail polish on my thumb and then i cut it in half okay. So let me flip my camera around here, but um. If you, you can see it better this way, so i cut it about halfway, so the strip is going to be much thinner. What i'm going to do is, i am going to cut it then in half, and so instead of it being. You know, however long this is an inch and a half or whatever it'll it'll be half that like that. So i'm doing that in hopes that it will help hide the um the strip a little bit better. So i'm going to go ahead and get started. If i'm going to be able to set my camera up to show you guys as i'm doing it, but i'm going to explain to you how i'm doing it and i'll show you when i'm done so, i usually start back here and, however, your hair grows. So mine kind of does this over here, so you want it to go under i'm in the direction that your hair grows. So if your hair is going this way, you don't want to put a strip in facing this way or facing you know back. Obviously, you want it to kind of be at an angle, because that will give you the best chance of hiding them. So i'm going to start in the back and i usually start probably right about here um and i'm going to start and then what i do is i just kind of gauge it as i'm going because you want to make sure that um you have enough strips You have enough sandwiches to go around, so i know that i have 20 all together, which means i can make 10 sandwiches um, and so i really need to watch where i put them and because i'm just trying to go for a little bit of a side Cut, i really want the bulk of it to be here, so it just kind of hangs over and then i can cut it at an angle. Hopefully that makes sense so i'm going to get started and then i will show you what i try to show you guys. I know sodo isn't, but i'm gon na try. Okay, so i put one right there: okay and now i'm pulling it up and kind of pulling off the excess hair, because you don't want it to be. You don't want there to be like a ton of hair. Oh, my room is very messy, so is my bathroom um? You also want to use a rat tail comb, so you can kind of move the hair out of the way because you don't want to have like a super thick sandwich it it. The tape won't work. It just won't stick, so i'm going to do that. I'M going to put the other sandwich part in and i'll show you lining it up is essential, but that's what that looks like. I can't really tell what you're saying um for a sami. So i'm going to keep going so i kind of pull it out of the way um and then i'm going to do another one about right here. So i'm going to try to keep it in a in a line coming this way so that it um stays along my part line, so it kind of looks you know, like it's all kind of cohesive and coming together, sorry about the shaky um shaky camera i'll, Be right back so another thing you can do is, if you don't have, a ton of tape, ends right um and you don't have a lot of area to cover. You can cut the top off. So this is the part that i cut off right and then you can use this as one side and then this as the other side to make the sandwich. So you wouldn't have as much hair um. It wouldn't be as thick as two of them together, but it is a way for you to kind of spread them out more. If you don't need as much coverage. This is the finished product i finished, putting them in, i cut them um. I had to use my thinning shears to thin them because they get kind of bulky on top, and so i thinned them out a little bit and then just kind of cut it at an angle and flat ironed. It um. So it would just kind of go over, but this is what it looks like and you just kind of have to play with it and make sure that you're covering your tapes and um. You know that they can't be seen and that's it it'll, probably last probably for me about a week, because i wash my hair every day. I won't wash it tomorrow, but then i'll wash it the next day, um and then sometimes what i do is i just kind of pull it all up and put it in a clip and then i'll wash around um so that i can still get that feeling Of it, you know getting it clean and then also dry. Shampoo is your friend just you just want it to be sulfate free, because otherwise, whatever shampoo you're, using whether it's dry, shampoo or regular shampoo, it has sulfates in it, it will break down the tape faster. So that's it. If you guys have questions, please leave them in the comments below my costco order. Just got here, so i got ta run downstairs and grab it. Otherwise, i would probably say more, but if you like this video, please give it a thumbs up.
