Diy Tape In Hair Extensions

Welcome to my first ever video! This is how I make and install my own tape in hair extensions. I bought tape in hair before and for the length and weight I wear, it was about £150, and how much I change my hair, being a student I just can't pay that! People always ask me how I can afford to change my hair so much, so I’m going to show you how I do that, by simply doing it myself!

But in this video I'm going to show you how I make my own tape in hair extensions. The reason I make my own is because it's about 40 pound 400 gram Park and since I wear about 300 to 400 grams of hair, that's just not cost-effective. For me, so I prefer to buy virgin hair and do it myself. Let me just say: first off, I'm not a professional, but this is what works for me to do. This you'll need some pre-cut hair extension tape. This one is the best brand I by Walker, and you can get them in any beauty, supply store or probably eBay. I used about 100, for this. You'Ll also need some hair bonding glue just to fix the type to the hair a little bit more secure. This won't actually be touching your own hair, so you don't need to worry about the damage. You'Ll also need hair. Obviously I pre-cut mine to make it easier to stick the tabs on to I'm using fashion lead to hair from aliexpress in Peruvian body wave color number. Four and then obviously I bleached it to dye it red so start off with your need to add your glue to your hair extensions. You don't need to be adding a thick lot of glue just enough to secure the tape. You want it to be tacky when you stick the tape on and just thin layer along the weft. You don't really want to touch the hair, just open your packet types and start peeling them off at the corner and then just secure them down onto where you place the glue, a piece of hair this size. You can fit two tabs on two and then once they're secure, just press them down want to press them down really firmly a lot of people say you should use straightness to do this or excess heat, but I wouldn't recommend that just cut in the middle and Then pull out any excess hair you might snip through and then use the smaller pair of scissors I'll just cut around any excess weft. This makes it look a little bit more like a conventional type in hair extension and then usually I just like to take two and just like rub them together. The heat from your hands is enough to just bond the type and the glue to the weft. You don't really need to use any excess heat. I found that doing the tacks. Myself works just as long as buying normal tape in hair extensions, so the shorter lengths of hair will have the most types because it means the wets will be longer or you had about 40 16 inch, ones, 20 or so 20 inch ones and then about 30. 18 inch ones you can allow them through your hair, starting with the longest length you should be starting with freshly washed hair, don't use too much conditioner. Otherwise, the types will be struggling to stick in can add oil into your top layer. Afterwards, it's best to start off with freshly shampooed hair I'll, just section mine into four sections and I'm starting off with the bottom section to add my 20 inch bundles. You need to make sure you leave enough room to put your hair up if you have to weigh hair up a lot like. I do for work start off by just peeling in the middle like a plaster and then you'll have your piece of tight ready to go. You want to just put it about half a centimeter away from the hairline. You don't want to stick it to you scalp, but you also don't want it too low down, otherwise you're going to have to move them up within a couple of weeks or so so, if you want to put the top one down fast and then start peeling, The type off the one that will match you underneath and then you just lift up that piece of type feel around all the hair. That'S on it get rid of any excess hair. If there's too much hair that piece of type won't bond together, then just press them down again, I wouldn't remember mind using heat to do this I'll. Just think the heat of your fingers is enough, just give it a good squeeze and it should be secure again make sure there's enough room to put it off. As you can see, I had a lot of broken hair, so I have to use hair grips to put my hair up anyway, so this is after 100 grams of hair and then I'm starting with my 18 inch. That'S what it looks like with just 100 grams. So, as you can imagine, would hate to pay 40 pound for something look like that again. This is unjust. Unstyled hair already put in my second lot of hundred grams and now I'm starting on the most damaged parts of my hair, something really careful with the placement here, all the other types that I've put in a going in a different direction towards the back of my Head at this point - and these ones are going in at the side, I have put them about a centimeter away from a hairline at this point because it's easier to pull it up in the born. I like to wear my hair in high buns. On top of my head, so I like to have enough movement to be able to pull the hair off. You also need to leave enough space to cover any excess tape with the part in. I have a lot of short hair, so I like to wear my hair extensions quite high up and then laying them into my hair, as you can see again, remove any excess hair and just press the types underneath I wouldn't recommend heat sliding the hair for about 24 hours this, how warmind during that time, just in a home as you can see, I needed to use clips to hold the damaged hair up, but I can freely move my hair to put it in a high pony. I definitely wouldn't recommend washing it for at least 40 hours here, I'm using the Garnier ultimate blends, heat protection, milk and my tangle teezer just to brush it through this stops it from getting damaged when I'm using key on it. I'M also going to start it with my fabulous boutique waver, it's just quite thick barrel, curling iron and I'm just adding some messy curls. As this is the look I just wear like every day and then I'll just push them through my fingers and then off-camera. I'M gon na sort out my fringe and my layers because anyone who's grown out for engineers, how painful eyes to watch - and this is the finished result I'll - usually have quite long hair extensions. What I was going for quite a natural look, this time as it's getting too close to summer and they're heavy and hot, and it just looks better in a bun as well. I really like this hair and I'm would buy from the seller again it's about fifty pound for the hair that I bought, which is really good value. A lot of people ask how I can trust such low prices, but you just have to make the decision for yourself. I change my hair. So often it's just not cost-effective for me to spend a lot any of their information will be in the description bar. Thank you for watching my first youtube. Video

sadieg: have you ever had breakage in the root area using take ins? I have had some, I'm not sure if it's due to my hair being very fine or the quality of the extensions. they are very tangled and difficult to brush, maybe too much pulling?

Maddi Hart: Can you use one weft extensions? also, I'm on the cheer team at my high school, and we have to put our hair into a high pony tail with a pouf (teased) in front, and is that okay to do with extensions? Do you have any recommendations for people on a budget about where to get the wefts of hair?
