Trying Amazon Tape-In Hair Extensions | Putting Them In Myself

Hey guys it's shiloh and welcome back to my channel today's video is going to be yet another hair transformation. Video. I put a poll up on my instagram yesterday asking what kind of video you wanted to see for this week, and this was the most requested video. So today i'm going to be getting my hair done. It looks like this right now. I got it done in august. That was the last time my hair was colored, but we are going dark and i'm going to put in maxwell tape and hair extensions from amazon. I can't wait. I'M super excited for this. Let'S head to the salon, i'm back from the salon, i just got my hair all colored to match the extensions max full hair maxwell is an amazon hair extension brand and they were kind enough to reach out to me and send me a pair of hair extensions. So these are the extensions as you can see, they match very well and i got two packs because i have um pretty thick hair, so i got i asked for two packs of the tape ends: i've never done tape and extensions. Before you saw my other extension, video um, those are actually synthetic. This is real human, like remy human hair, so that's also super exciting anyways. I'M super excited to try these on. I'M also kind of scared, because i have never done tape. Ins. I don't know much about them. I try to watch a few videos to learn about them and how to put them in, but i'm also scared. I don't have enough because my hair is thick, i'm just gon na go for it. I have a total of 40 of these, which means there's going to be 20 sandwiches, so how they stick together is one piece ghost sticks under here and the other piece goes and sandwiches your hair in between okay, that's how it works. I have to figure out placement on my head, one two, but it's actually four one, two, three, that's six! So that's ten! There'S some math happening here. Let'S, let's just go for it. Okay, i sectioned a little piece of hair like at the bottom. I am so nervous if this doesn't work out. I'M gon na look like break and i don't even know how to take tapings out. I just learned how to put them in. I don't know how to take them out so once they're in they're in i think here we go taking the little tab off. I got a little mirror here, so you can see the back of my head because i can't see that i think i just have to feel it. I think it's a feeling: okay, let's just tape it on. Oh, it's so scary, oh man! Okay! Now i take that section that i just it just got like stuck on it. I didn't think about this. You can't get the little tab off. I shouldn't eat many of these. It'S gross all right now. This one has to go this way. Oh my. I don't know if i did that right, okay, i think i did it. I think it's gon na be okay. That makes me feel a little better. It doesn't look like awful. I know once i get a bunch of them in there it's gon na it's gon na blend better with my hair okay, so i got one done on that and now i just have to do one right beside it. So there's gon na be two right here on this first layer i finished the first layer and now we move on to the second layer. Oh no, no! I got random hair stuck in it. That looks weird. I don't want to go too much higher, but enough, but they're not like too close together. Okay, now this time, i'm going to put three so i'm going to start with the one in the middle, i think that's the middle yeah, that's pretty much the middle! I'M going to do all the way up the back and then i will come back to do the sides. I finished putting them in the back, but as you can see, there's like chunk in the front. I have four sets left. So there's eight single ones left. I'M gon na put two sets over here somehow and then two sets over here and then i'll be done and we'll start the like blending process. I put all the extensions in. Obviously this is going to take some getting used to this part here worries me a little bit, so i'm gon na try to make sure i blend down here. Well so, there's like other random short pieces um, because otherwise you can definitely tell where my natural hair is. The thickness is pretty good. I probably need another like half a pack to a full other pack, because my hair is thicker for being a rookie at this. I think i did pretty good people are gon na hate me now. They'Re gon na be like oh you're, one of those girls, okay, but now i'm gon na, like even out the ends and then blend it. I cut some more like random layers. I think it'll blend the best once i style it so now, i'm just gon na, like curl my natural hair with the extension, so it blends a lot better. Okay, as you can see, and i got a nice bouncy curl also. I just want to mention that tape and extensions like they're temporary. Of course it's not my actual hair, but there's more of like the permanent style of hair extensions they're made to last in my hair a long time. So it's not like i just put them in and i'm gon na put them in, take them out every day it's like they're gon na be in my hair for a little while i always wanted long hair growing up, but i always just love the thrill of Getting it cut as well. I actually finally grew my hair out when i was in high school. It was the longest it had ever been and i absolutely loved it and then the whole covid thing happened and i was bored at home and you know what happens when i get bored. I like to change my hair, and so i top my hair off again and i loved it for a little bit and that's exactly what always happens. It'S like. No, i know i love it. I love it for like one to two weeks and then i'm like. I want my long hair back because i just i just like the way long hair looks better on me. Okay, i think curling. It definitely makes it blend a lot better. I look so different. The heck. This is what it looks like. I hope you like it now for the final touches. I should do my makeup. I look like a completely different person and you're watching america's next top model. I'M kidding i'm totally kidding, but also because this is so good.
