I am not a salon professional or a hair expert - this is how I like to remove my tape in hair extensions. Always seek professional help before doing this on your own!

Hey guys, if you're new here my name is Missy Truscott and welcome to the video today, I'm gon na be showing you guys how I take out my hair extensions with being under quarantine right now from the koban 19. I'M not actually able to go to my hair salon to get them taken out, so I'm going to take them about myself and then hopefully put them back in before the Olympia, with Fitness and like being in the fitness industry. It'S good to have like a look for yourself and mine is obviously Missy with the long blonde hair, so I actually had naturally long blonde hair when I first moved to Washington, but you know coming here, I had to switch hairdressers and unfortunately, the woman who I Had seen the first time when she did my bleaching tome, she turned my hair green, so I had to like chop my hair off because it started like falling out, so I literally cut it to undermine a canal attached a photo, so you guys can see and Yeah it was devastating, but you know hair grows and I'm just trying to keep it healthy right now. So I do like to keep the hair extensions out as much as I can and then just kind of braid, my hair, when you know when I go to the gym or wear it up in a bun, so I'm gon na show you guys some of the Ways I like to wear my hair after I get the hair extensions out so, like I mentioned, it's been quite a process. The last two years on re growing, my hair and I've done keratin, hair extensions, I've done tape, bends and right now I really like the tape bends, because there's not a lot of damage with it. The keratin I'll attach a photo. What they do is they take like an adhesive type square and they use a hot tool and they'll put the hair actually onto your root and then they kind of like dreadlock it in like they roll it like this. So when you're taking your keratin hair extensions out its matted and as you brush it, you lose so much hair and yeah that totally sucks. So I definitely do not recommend getting the keratin bonds. Do tape in it's so much easier, you'll be so happy and it doesn't take as long and you can literally do it yourself if you have good hair extensions, so hopefully, in the next couple weeks I'll be able to show you that video as well. So, as you can see my setup here, I have a standing near kind of angle, so I can look into it and see the back of my head from the rear behind me. Alright guys, so you want to start with just brushing your hair first, making sure that your extensions are not knotted so that when we store them away for next time, they're able to be put back in without a lot of tangles or knots or anything like that. So give your hair a good brush and you want to start from the bottom up. So we're going to section our hair and just get those bottom extensions and then just kind of tie the rest off all right guys. So it should look something like this and mind the grow-out with the quarantine. I can't get my hair dyed, so yeah we got a little bit of roots here so now what you want to do is you want to take your baby oil in the spray and then our coconut oil, and you just want to pop pop open the extension Without damaging the hair, it should lift a little bit just like that kind of open it up a little. And then you want to take your spray and just spray it in there like so, and you want to leave it for like a good 30 seconds. Just like chill out relax, it's gon na take a second for the glue to kind of unstick and then we'll be able to slide the extension out so keep watching. I'M going to go in with this little coconut oil right here and I'm looking in my back here and I'm just applying a few squirts to it. Just give them like a little massage. So this one's starting to open up here, I'm just gon na pull the extension away like so so the top we will slide out fairly well, but then the bottom one you just want to leave a little bit longer and maybe now that it's opened up give Another little spray, this one just slides out as well, and if you can see, there's not like other than what your hair sheds there's not much damage at all. That'S why I like the tape ends, so we're going to keep doing this process until we got all of our extensions out and then once you've taken your two little sandwiches out just kind of place them back together and then keep them organized. And now you want to take your fine-tooth comb and brush, so we have a little bit of like shedding going on, but you have to also keep in mind that I've had these extensions in for eight weeks, ish summer, eight weeks and naturally, when you wash your Hair in the shower, you do lose hair, but because the sandwiches are at the root that shed eNOS at the root can't actually come out. So that's why you've got the shedding here. Okay, so we're gon na. Do this process over again we're going to pull down our other extensions, alright, guys we're almost finished here, your comb and just brush any of the glue that still might be in your hair, all right! So now what you're gon na want to do is wash your hair twice with shampoo really get in there scratch out your scalp don't go too hard because you probably haven't really been able to wash your hair in a couple weeks. So just go gentle make sure you got all this oil out of your hair and then afterwards, if you don't do like a deep conditioner leave that conditioner in your hair for a good hour all day. If you want really alright guys so storing until the next time, just take all your hair and put an elastic around it and then grab the ziplock baggie and then it'll be ready to use for next time and the next video you'll see of my hair. Tutorials is how to install your extensions, so I'm going to wait until I actually get my hair dyed and it'll probably be around the IPO time. Just because I like to have the length, but again I want my hair to grow and be more natural. Looking right now, so it also helps me like mentally when I'm training, because I don't have to worry about like washing my hair and all that kind of nonsense like I can just go hard in the gym and sweat and not worry about like hair extensions and The glue and that stuff, so you just want to put your hair in a baggy and then you can forget about it, I'm so excited to wash my hair. Oh my god excuse me: I'm gon na go alright guys. So right now, I'm just putting in like a leave-in treatment and you can really use any one from like and grocery store just get something. That'S like a leave-in conditioner, I'm just putting it through my hair and now what I'm gon na do is tie it up. Go eat meal two and then I'll come back and wash my hair okay. So now that our hair is all the washed and conditioned I let it towel dry a little bit my go to products as you can see, this is always smeared. Often it is it's a ten leave-in conditioner and then I also like this milkshake leave-in and then I am using this ozzy like foamy mousse, so I'm just gon na spray, the two conditioners of my hair and I'm going with like a wet look today. So it's just easy, you know everyday kind of look. This stuff smells really good, and it kind of like just gives your hair a break from like the weight of the extensions, and I probably won't straighten my hair honestly for like a week and I like to flip my head down there. You have it naturally curly hair extensions taken out feeling good ready to hit the gym. Thank you for watching this video guys.
