Hey guys welcome back to my channel, it's alana foshee here if you're new welcome, so today, i'm just going to be doing a video on how i remove my hair extensions. I have tape in hair extensions in my hair right now and i'm going to be removing them with this alcohol 99. This is what it looks like, and i just poured some of this into a spray bottle so that it's easier to dispense onto the tape in so you'll need that and then you'll need one of these combs as well with the pointy tip. So that, then you can get this right into the tape extension and then i also have a brush just to brush up the hair. So i'm going to start by removing my hair from the ponytail. I do have hairspray in my hair as well. So it might look a little crazy like right here. Oh my gosh, is it ever? It'S probably not a good idea to have hairspray in your hair when you're, taking them out um and then you're also going to need some clips to hold your hair up. So i'm going to go grab those because i didn't forget them, okay, so these are the clips i'm using. I have this big one, this little one and then i also have this clip. Obviously, if you have these, like hair clip, they're probably better to use, but i can only find one of these and then these two, so i'm just going to use those for today and i would brush the hair out. But this hairspray is in here pretty good and the reason i'm taking my hair extensions out so soon um is because i actually put them in when i had my roots already growing and, as you can see, they've grown in quite a bit. So i want to take my extensions out so that i can do my root touch up and i will be putting them back in because don't get me wrong, i do love my hair extensions. I just don't like the way that it looks right now with my roots so long, so i'm just gon na take them out touch up my hair and then put them back in. So let's get started. Okay, so first first step you're gon na part. The hair you're gon na find your first hair extension, which mine is right here. You'Re gon na look a little crazy, so i'm just gon na pin that over there then, as i said, i do have hairspray in my hair, which probably isn't the greatest idea. You do probably want to have like clean washed hair, or at least like no product. In your hair, so i'm gon na go ahead and spray this all over the extension, and then i'm just going to rub it in a bit just like that. Just kind of push all that alcohol in it and then i'm going to try and um. These are sandwiched together. There is two extensions here, one at the top and one at the bottom. So this is when you probably want to use the comb to help open that up and also seeing that you might want to push down the top just a bit to break the seal and then spray a little more. If you need to that's what i'm doing so, it says that my camera is about to die, so i may have to record the rest on my iphone. So if you see in the video that my quality gets worse, then that would be the reason why, but, as you can see, it's already lifting up and i'm actually able to just peel this off nice and easily and don't be worried. If you have some hair that comes out like your natural hair that comes out with this, because you do lose hair and your hair, that would typically fall out, gets stuck in between the tape. So that's the reason for that, and another thing i recommend is that when you're taking these out have a piece of paper and fold the hair into here like this and then fold it in half and write, which section you pulled these out from because you're gon Na if you're gon na be reusing, your hair extensions, you're gon na want to um place them in the exact same spots as you did the first time, because the way that you cut your hair it'll be all uneven if you don't place them again. In the same area, but if you didn't cut your extensions, then you should be fine, so that's one tape and out, i feel like with the alcohol. It is so easy to get these out. They just glide right out and they there we have it. The first extension is out and there's not any glue remain in here. It is so it might try to focus this. I don't know if it's working or not, let's see, i'm not sure if you can see that or not. I want you guys to see it, but i'm not sure if you can see that or not but two clips and then what you want to do. Is you want to sandwich these back together so that, then you know those two were together and then you just continue working. What i do as well is once you take that hair out you might just want to brush through it, and mine is really it's. Not tough to brush through it's just that the hairspray on the rest of the hair, so i'm just going to avoid the rest of my hair for now, so i'm going to wash my hair and just to really soak it. What you want to do as well is use a oil spray oil on your hair. I'M going to show you guys how to do that. I'M going to go! Grab my oil okay. So this is the oil i'm going to be using it's the argan oil of morocco um it's for dry, styling oil, it's ultra lightweight, red hydrates and repairs, dry, damaged, hair and, and it adds shine so after i take the extension out, i'm just gon na do One little spray like that on the hair that i'm that was trapped inside those two extensions that much together, so i'm just gon na do that so that it's hydrating the hair. While i take out the rest and i'm just going to work like that in sections, so i'll do this section first and then i will move along and you're just going to continue this process until you're done spray. A good amount on your hair of the alcohol and i swear lifting the seal. I'M not sure if you guys can see this, i'm trying to show you lifting the seal here just to really work, see like this. It'S already coming off that one. I only put one i didn't sandwich that one i just did the one and it's off just that easy. It'S really simple. Like i swear this makes it your life so much easier. I'M just gon na spray, the oil you're gon na look really crazy. Like i mentioned during this process, so i just did the left side the one side here now i'm going to do the right side, i'm just going to spray both of them because they are really close together. Just like that, like i said, just work the alcohol into the extension, and i always find it very easy if you just peel the top part, see it's already like coming off. This stuff is really works. Amazingly, like look at that that one i only had one as well. This one here should be two pieces: sandwiched together, yeah, so i'll just get this one out and then i will spray my oil. You don't want to tug on it and force it to come out. You just want to make it come out when it's ready and that's why i suggest really pulling these down a bit and open it up, so that then the alcohol can get in there. Nice and easily - and this is literally what i'm going to be doing the whole process. So if i do film it on my iphone i'll just be showing you guys exactly the same steps, if it's ever tricky, you can always go in with your comb and try and get in between the sandwich. Some of them may be trickier than others, but it's just staying patient and calm and just applying more alcohol. If you need to because, like i said you want to work slowly, you don't want to rip it out, because you do want your hair to be remaining underneath. I want to tug it all out, there's one half and then the bottom one came up nice and easy, i'm just going to sandwich them together again, okay and now i'm going to be working on the back of my head. Oh, i look crazy. The glue is sticking to my hands um, so oh hmm, so so foreign, so okay, so as you're seeing there all the extensions are now officially out my hair feels like i have no hair on my head. I thought my hair was getting thicker and now i feel like it's just the thinnest hair on earth, but i'm gon na now do a deep conditioning treatment to my hair to help get out any of the to get out any of the hairspray that i have In my hair or any of the glue, that's left from the tape ends, which wasn't very much that um 99 alcohol really does an a wonderful job of taking those extensions right out near the end. Just because i didn't brush my hair before i actually decided to take out the extensions it was a little. It was a little tangled, especially with the hairspray in my hair, but i think that if you're doing this on no products in your hair other than like deep conditioners or leave-ins, then i think that your hair will just come out. So nice um, it's like easy. Without kind of tugging at the very bottom, like minded um, but either way those came out so quickly. I did that within like 20 minutes, and i've seen online, that some people take like two hours two and a half hours so 99. Alcohol um is what you want to use to remove those tape in hair extensions. They did amazing, so i'm going to jump into i'm going to do a leave-in conditioner jump into the shower and show you what my hair looks like afterwards and just in case you're wondering the moisturizing treatment that i'm going to use. Is this right here? It is the olive moisturizing treatment with coconut and silk from silk elements: mega: silk, it's relaxed and not relax unnatural for dry, dull or frizz prone hair; deeply moisturizes strengthens and nurtures and nurtures, while leaving hair, soft and full of shine. So this is what i'm gon na use on my hair, so i'm gon na go ahead and do that now. Okay, so i've just gone ahead and got out of the shower. So, once again, before the shower, i used this um olive moisturizing treatment with coconut and with coconut and silk um. So i used this before i just stamped my hair and applied this. I let that sit on there for about five minutes before i jumped into the shower. Once i got into the shower, i rinsed that out and then i shampooed my hair with my purple shampoo, and then i used my olaplex shampoo and i let that sit in there for about three to four minutes and then, once i finished shampooing my hair, i Moved on to the olaplex conditioner, which i believe is number four once i conditioned my hair, i applied this bond synergy, deep treatment, um, it's ultra bond age, beautiful. It looks like this, so i picked this up from sally's a few months ago. They said that it was similar to the olaplex conditioner, so this is actually a leaf leave-in treatment. Let me see here um condition and treatment. You apply to clean, damp hair leave in for three to five minutes, so i use this in the shower as well, and then i also on top of that. I use my olaplex number three, which is for repairs and strengthens all hair types. So i use this. I really love this stuff and then, after my shower, i used um olaplex number seven bonding oil, this right here - and this is what it looks like out of the box and then i just use my heat protection spray and quickly blow dried. My hair, not all of it but 90 of it, and this is my hair after i have taken the extensions out. Thank you so much for watching.
