Hey guys, so I'm here today to give you an update on my hair, so it has been over a year since I got my hair chemically fried off by a hairdresser when I was trying to go after hairy gone silver. But I was trying to go even more silver ahead of my roots and she basically chemically fried off my hair. All of these pieces here were up to here so um. I will link the playlist down below of my hair journey, but about um in. I think what was it September I think in September I got extensions for the first time I went with tape and extensions. I will link down below my video about getting my tape. Ins done for the first time also my update video, so I just dropped my hair on the floor. I guess before I get into this video on the update subscribe to my channel, I upload every Tuesday and Thursday and you should stick around because I'm pretty awesome. So I've had extensions in for about. I think it was seven or eight months um. I reuse the same extensions three times and I just kind of tuck them out too. First of all give my hair a break just because it's probably not good to have that much weight on your hair for that long, that much glue and your hair for that long, and I also needed to do something with the cut and the color. Basically, I got extensions to hide the terrible dye jaw or the terrible chemical cut that I was given from the front and looks okay but like, as you can see, these look there's like these little scraggly pieces on the bottom that are longer than the rest. The back is really bad, which I never noticed until my extension girl took a picture in the back of my hair. It'S like the length of these hairs, but like there's no longer hairs, because I have an undercut it just kind of everything up so yeah. The basically the point of the extensions was to hide the holes in my hair, while my hair grew out, and so this hair has grown out quite a bit, so I actually have an appointment to get my hair cut in a couple days. So this will be a two part, video, I'm going to show you guys what my hair looks like once. It'S cut, I'm also planning on getting my hair coloured. I just the blonde need to be refresh it's kind of dull and like really brassy, and I also need to do something about my roots. I don't want to fully bleach them because I'm like personally kind of terrified about that, but I also don't even want them fully blonde, because I kind of like the shadow root look. So she might just do highlights and though Beasley I'm in a haircut in two days and then I'm gon na get her to tell me what I should do. Color wise and that'll be a separate video. I probably will get extensions in again in about a month. A half or two months because I still want the length and I think, she's gon na - have to cut it into like probably an angled bob or bob. In order to make my hair look like a haircut, I basically want her to cut off as much hair. Not even I don't want her to cut off anything, I'm gon na go there and be like keep it as long as you can, but make it look like a style. I mean, I don't think, there's really a point in trimming these, like short sections, maybe just to like make them. Even I don't know, I'm gon na try out and show you guys what my hair looks like in the back now, so that I can show you what it looks like once my stylist is done with it. So let me just spin around this is what my hair looks like. As you can see, there is a hole here. It has grown out a lot. I will insert a picture of what my hair looked like before when I first got my extensions done in September. So yeah, that is what my hair currently looks like I'm getting a haircut in a couple days. I definitely think having extensions and allowed my hair to grow just because I wasn't doing a lot to it and when I was heat styling, I'm really just doing the bottom section, I'm mostly mostly styling the extensions, although I do think that the problem with having extension Is that you can't really do a lot of like deep conditioning mask olaplex treatments, etcetera because you have the tapings in so that's why I kind of give my hair a break. I mean I put a bunch of masks on my hair and just kind of fully nourish this baby, and I also need to touch up the color. So my plan is, if I touch up my roots, then I can we're excited until I get another six months and not have to do anything with it. My hairdresser sent me home with my hair, so here is a box of hair extensions um. Basically, my hair extensions - I will probably get new extensions when I do get extensions put in just because these ones were 20 inches, but we've had to cut them a couple. We cut them a little bit when first foot once feels more natural, and then we cut them a little bit so that they, because there was like damage on the bottom because they're blonde so like they obviously are just like regular blonde hair. It is real hair. So it gets breakage on the bottom, and so this is probably actually a shorter piece. Let me fight you a longer piece. Is this a longer piece, or maybe that's just how long there yeah there was a little a little bit of a longer piece, so they work for like volume, but they don't really work for the length and I kind of want to go back to like the 20 inch extensions because nowadays they are extensions, so um I will say, I'm not sure if it's normal, but when she did take my hair cuts out. There was tons of glue left in my hair and I'm not sure if it's normal, because I couldn't find anyone talking about it and she was like oh just put some conditioner on your hair and then leave it in prove. It and it'll be fine. But like that didn't work, I'm not sure I just have really tricky hair, because I do have thick coarse hair. But when I put the conditioner on, I have lipstick. When I put the conditioner on the first time I kinda I was like ripping out hair when I was brushing the conditioner through, because the glue chunks weren't does all ding and until this time I did the same thing. But I left the conditioner on for like an hour in a towel and I doused my hair and conditioner and still - and it's like a really really nice mature and still it came in a little bit easier. But there was still tons of glue in my hair. So I wanted to give you guys my trick. This is googan. This is the spray gel kind uh. It says that you can use Google to remove gum from hair, but it also says not to get on your scalp because it can cause irritation. So, for this recommendation, I'll say know yourself: if you have a sensitive scalp, don't use this, but I sprayed it all over my hair. I basically, I think the issues up with conditioner. You have to use it on your hair when it's wet, but it's hard to find the glue and your hair's wet weird. If your hair is dry, it's way easier to find the glue. So I just kind of part it into sections. I felt along my strands, found the glue sprayed it worked it in and then I only left the goog on in my hair all over for about ten minutes. It started feeling a little bit like probably what it was like a little bit, tingly, not a lot, but I was just like. Oh I'm out. I have a little bit of glue still in this bottom section here and one spot in the back, but everywhere else it completely took the glue out I brush this through. I brushed it through my hair, with my tangle teezer. Before I got in the shower, i shampooed my hair really well like two or three times I probably just should have just used a clarifying shampoo just to really get this residue out of my hair, and then I conditioned it because this probably isn't good for your Hair, but it's also probably better than like acetone, so I did that and the glue is completely removed for my hair. So let me know down below if you guys have had the same experience with extensions like I'm, not sure if my girl just has a shitty, adhesive remover or if I'm just going to someone who's, not doing it properly. I like to know so that I can know going forward if it's normal to have chunks of glue all in your hair when they remove them. Just like curious really. But if you have haven't found that problem and you can't find a solution online because I looked for YouTube videos, I looked for on forums and everything was talking about we're moving the actual tape in. But like that's not my problem, my problem is removing the residue. After the tape in and googan save my damn life, so yeah, I'm gon na give a sensitive scalp. Be careful if you do like a patch test, but it totally worked for me got all of the glue out of my hair. It smells disgust. It smells like really citrusy so like you'll smell weird for a couple days, but you'll be fine, so that is the first part of this video. That'S what my hair looks like right now, I'm going to get it cut in a couple days, and I will give you guys a I will be back. I guess after I get a haircut and let you know what the plan of attack is for the color. Okay, so I, when I got my hair cut this morning, so I went into a film a follow up. Video just show it kind of show you guys what my hair looks like. Actually, let me zoom down a little bit just so you can see the ends of my hair um. So this is what my hair looks. Like extensions are out. I have not color in my hair. My cat is in a box, so excuse that um, as you can see, most of so these top pieces when I first got my hair destroyed, were about to hear maybe a little bit longer, so they have grown a lot and it's just that a lot of The ends were fried and damaged, so she just kind of went through into the trim. We left the back longer than the front or sorry shorter than the front, so it's kind of like an angled lob. Almost I don't know if you're gon na t see from the side, but it's kind of like almost an angled lob, just because she knew that I would have to lose a lot of length on the front. If I wanted to keep it all one length - and we just weren't about that - also because I told her one with my extensions back in at some point in the near future - she said that I should leave it kind of wispy and, like not too blunt of Lines because then it will get damaged, so I just spin you around and show you what it looks like in the back now scooch up. So this is what it looks like in the back. Now it's much nicer and like an actual uniform length, so yeah, that's what she looks like again. We didn't touch the color at all. It'S really brassy right now, I'm gon na try to use some purple shampoo and stuff. I didn't use it when I had extensions in because just in case you didn't know extension hair. It generally takes a color and pigment which includes purple shampoo faster than your actual hair does so, I was afraid, use purple shampoo on my hair when an extension, because I didn't want it to take to the extensions more than my hair and then not have like Seamless extension, so I just kind of left it, so I am gon na try to do a little bit of purple shampoo in here to see if it helps just tone out a little bit, but I did make a hair appointment to get colored. She said we're gon na, do, I think she said partial highlights, but only because I have an undercut. So I'm basically do gon na do a full head of highlights, but she said she's kind of make gon na make it like foliage, where she's gon na, like tease the roots up, so that it kind of still brightens up up here. But I still have the dark roots and I just kind of brightens up the bottom and then we're gon na tone it so that it's not so brassy but she's booked and chilled July 3rd. So I guess I'm living with this hair until then. It'S not bad, though, like I can totally live with this. It is 800 million times better than what used to look like. I believe I already entered a picture in this video of what my of how bad my cut was before it wasn't even a cut. It was a chemical cut, I'm gon na also, while I was there, I asked her to recommend me some good hair masks, so I got two. These are called. These are from Gavin Eze. There are $ 15, each so they're a little pricey, but way cheaper than like, like I have a tub match from Davin oz in my shower. That'S like fifty dollars, these and they're $ 15 each and what I like about them, and so they're like these squeezy packs, but they have like a like a squirt thing at the top and it has a cap. So it's reusable because these are super full. I can probably get like four or five uses of this. I don't see what my hair is. So short, I'd only have half of it right now, so she said she told me to get the Renaissance circle, which is for hopeless hair. Extreme repair mask. Have you met me and then also the quick fix, which is a fast lane, multitasking hair mask. She said this one's good. If you don't a lot of time, you lose after three to five minutes, probably not for lawyers, because I'd me but yeah. I'M excited to use these masks and there's so much in here and, like I'm, the kind of person that likes these package sheet masks because I write hair masks because I don't want to have to commit to a whole tub, especially for like an expensive hair mask. I would rather just like buy a little Sh like get the little sample ones. Cuz. I I don't really like I don't know, I don't love hair masks, not something I'm gon na like use all the time, so I like to have these on hand. So I can just like kind of switch. It up use one of these he's my bad do whatever I want, and then they had a promotion that you bought. Two of those you got a free sample size of the conditioner and the shampoo of the love conditioner. The love conditioner is actually one of my favourite conditioners from dominos. I have the full side of this in my shower, so I was stoked to get this and then also the love shampoo. The love is a smoothing shampoo for coarse or frizzy hair hi. Have you met me so yeah I'm excited about that. So this is my having my extensions out. I guess I'll have the vote until at least July, because I'm not gon na put them back in Femina get my color done. I think I want to buy new extensions anyways so give me some time to save up some money for them and I'll just kind of let my hair live and do some olaplex treatments. I recently bought the olaplex shampoo and I'm just gon na kind of put some hair masks on maybe do a purple mask and just kind of see how my hair responds to it, but yeah overall, I'm so happy if you can see. If you look at the front here, you can see that my my bang is actually a little bit longer like a normal bang. I feel like would only be like here, but I have a really thick bang, because that's just how much of my hair broke off in the front, but because it is my bag and I kind of kind of push it over the back. You can't really tell also because with extensions you can't with your hair half up or like you, space lunge or anything, I'm just excited to be able to like actually do stuff with my hair that I couldn't do with my extensions, although my brow or my hair, My hairdresser did say that what she does with one of her friends is: she has her friends with her hair half up, and then she actually puts the tape in like a little bit below that and a little bit above that, so that the girl can still Put her hair half up, so I might do that next time because she did say that my under Kai's long enough that I could put extensions in, but obviously they put extensions in the undercut. I will be able to put my hair up so I don't know. I'M weighing my options right now, but I might get fusions also, which I think are just easier. If you use your hair in general. Also, I'm gon na make up looks garbage. I had this hair appointment at 8:45 in the morning and it is now 6 p.m. so I am I like read in my closet today, which I felt I do on that I'll upload soon. So it said a busy day, I'm going to take my face off and I didn't care what it looks like, because this is about the hair, so yeah, I'm loving my cut. My hair feels so much fuller. Now that it's not all wispy and weird and just like healthier and I'm excited to put some mask on it and just like give her some TLC so hope you guys enjoyed this video. Let me know down below what your experience is with tape and extensions or any other type of extensions, because I am looking at beaded, soin, wefts and also bonds. Maybe but I've heard the palms aren't as good for your hair and also are there any funds that, like I've, heard that there's some bonds you can reuse and some that you can't see. Let me know if you know of any bonds, you can reuse because, like I'm not trying to buy hair one time and then never use it again, that's what I like about tapings is that, although it's a big investment in the beginning and same with the beaded, So much you can just reuse them, reuse them and reuse them for like a year, and so that's my jam so yeah. Thank you guys for watching, and I will talk to you guys next time. Bye,

Taylor Ashley: Hey hun! It usually takes a few washes to get all the glue out :( that’s the only sucky part of tape ins. But I’ll try goo gone!! Thanks for the tip❤️

clipinqueen: I have been using Goo-gone for years to get out tape/adhesive glue from my hair! It works well. I actually leave it in for an hour, then follow up with acetone to any glue/tape that is still hard to come out. Works every time. My hair is never damaged from it. Thanks for the vid. Your hair looks great!

The Overmyer Family: i can totally relate to having fried hair girl !! i let a friend bleach my entire head then put a ashy blonde in it all in the same week ... biggest mistake ever !!! decided to shave my head in june of 2018 and its super long now ! but girl your beautiful no matter what love you and your videos ❤️

Corrin Jessen: Her: "Hair dresser fried off my hair" Me: "wow thats sad :(" Her: "i was already silver and wanted to go more silver, and she fried off my hair" Me: "what did you expect" Honestly she should have just told you it couldn't be done.

Dina M: Heat up coconut oil put it on the bond or where the glue is, leave it on for a few minutes and just brush off where the glue was slowly... that works amazing for me

Amber Billis: Comming from a stylist who used to do fusions for many years if you want to keep your hair healthy don’t do fusions I quit doing them because the removal part is so stressful on people’s hair. I don’t like to offer services that may damage hair so I quit and switch everyone to tape ins I would stick with tape ins!! By far my fav method for health of hair in all of the years that I have been doing extensions!!

Leah Michelle: Ok I realize this is an older video but I just wanted to let you know if you are continuing to get extensions, particularly tape-ins, I’m a Master extension artist and you should NOT have any residue left in your hair after the removal of your extensions. If you do you’re hairdresser is not giving you the full service or is not trained properly. My clients never leave with residue in their hair. Sorry that happened to you and you were left to figure that our for yourself. If you have any questions in extensions in the future don’t hesitate to message me. Best to you!

R Noor: Omg hun! I been ripping out my hair trying to get rid of the residue left from tape in removals. . Why did i not look up your video.

Tanya Findlay: F**k, I'm super hoping I can find "goo gone" or similar here in NZ. I have a crazy amount of glue dreads from leaving my tape ins for too long- the tape sort of disintegrated, leaving glue everywhere and I just can't get the clumps out despite trying the same conditioner tricks you did. Thank you so much for this video! Glad I'm not alone with this problem.

Rick Thompson: I’ve used tape ins on clients for years. WD-40 works for me. The removers haven’t worked for me. The WD-40 and hair oil helps with taking the extensions out then I carefully comb the glue and tangles out. Try a piece or two. I’m not recommending this but this has worked for me.

LivLovesBeauty: I just remove mine using weft release....it gets the glue out if it gets left behind. You can buy it off Amazon.

Steph K: It may be the type of tape used. I have always used one brand, forgot my tape and used the hair stylists brand. Removed the tape ins and there is LOTS of glue residue. Like strips are still in my hair except I pulled them off of the extensions so how is there that much glue?!!! I have had extensions many times and never had but a SMALL amount of residue that easily come out by washing. I thinks some brands tape just sucks

Emily Haase: Wondering if when you use the goo gone to get the glue residue off, will that affect how the new tapes hold when you re-install? Like will it cause slippage in the tapes even if you wash your hair?

MissC: There shouldn’t be chunks of tape left in your hair. It pisses me off when my hairdresser does that to me. I always have to do the remainder myself. I think it’s just pure laziness. I install tape-ins from time to time. I make sure there isn’t any tape left over. Your hairdresser needs a better remover and needs to take more time with a tail comb and heavy conditioner, then clarifying shampoo. This process needs to be repeated until all the gummy stuff is gone. That’s a service you are paying good money for. It should be done properly. Trust me when I say I have yet to find someone who does it as well as I do. I can’t install them myself but I will be removing them on my own from now on.

Miriam Silva: I love tape ins I just hate the left over glue it’s depressing

Miriam Silva: I want to get a trim but I’m embarrassed to what the dresser will say

Joshua Lawson: Its not normal, my hair dresser said the glue being left over was normal but theyre supposed to get it all out not you. Mine also put way too many in my hair and it cause my scalp to blister and have sores untils it grew away from my scalp. Be careful who you lrt do these extensions in your hair. She assured me she had done it multiple times prior to my appt and during my appt she admitted the first time she did it was on their receptionist a week prior.
