Welcome to the channel guys welcome to the hare experience. Today we are going to talk about a common problem that we run into alright. Welcome guys, you're back on my bathroom, you're gon na say curse. You got stuff all over your shirt because the tear renew day it's just that easy. My hair experience calms got a lot of the fa. Q'S tutorials, just tons of information, find some good info guys. There'S some info. There YouTube videos as well my hair by ma G calm has got all the products supplies eBook, starter, kits, styling products, guys we've got styling products for you now, so everything is on hair by mhe use that coupon code ma g22 save 20 % off of your Stock hair replacement, alright, that pays the bills. What are you talking about today, courtesy and that pays the bills? So I can be here and do this, for you guys it's important to me to be able to make these videos and to be able to do this full-time and actually get good information, because this is what I do all day. So anyways, you don't have your hair on your head. Curtis in today's video is going to explain why so a common misconception in this industry is that you cannot tape the ultra-thin skin or a new generation or whatever our unit. You can tape. Tape makes the back and sides like from here now, even my heads here today - I just washed it and did a exfoliant, so it's nice and clean so tape. You can do I do from here all the way around. I do me a piece of tape here and another piece of tape back here just makes the cleanup easier. It'S less product, less chemical on my head, which is important to me tape, seems more secure. You don't have to redo it all that off. Then you don't have to redo it at all, until you're ready for a full redo and my units been on like two weeks and four days. So in the winter time I usually let it go two and a half three weeks depending on my activity level and how the weather is. But during the summer I stick to two weeks, so I could be a little bit lazy during the winter time. So I'm going to show you guys, let's start a little bit, let's go the other way when you're, applying tape, okay and that take this brand-spanking-new, okay and you either put it on your scalp or put it on the unit, and you want to take it off. You you fumbled up, you, you put some in the wrong spot. Something folded! Something happened. Do not just go ripping the tape back off you. This video is made really for the guys that are running into tearing a unit when they're taking this tape off. Okay, that's the real general purpose of the video, because I don't want you two guys to tear your units. I don't want you to be without. I want you to get good longevity out of the unit and tearing the unit obviously is going to be so destructive that it's gon na be not usable. So I mean a tear like that you can deal with, but if you get a big massive tear you're done so if you get the tape on there immediately, you get stuck okay and you're not going to get it off. You'Re, not just gon na. Don'T go pulling it off, it's just a bad idea. So what you're gon na want to do is there's a couple of different things that you can do. You can either get you can get isopropyl alcohol like this is: what comes in the starter kit. I use the same exact thing: 91 % isopropyl alcohol and what I have a little spray bottle that I keep just some little junky thing from Walmart, just a little spray bottle and I keep isopropyl alcohol in it. In case of this situation and also another reason. But if you get it on there, let's say you need to get it all off your skin. You can take it off. It'S! It'S not gon na feel the greatest that you can take it off if it gets on the unit you're gon na want to spray. This onto the unit um, where the tape meets the unit and then spray at that edge and just slowly work your way off. You always want to work your way towards the outside of the unit. You don't want to go in a downward fashion, because if you go in a downward fashion, it could tear the unit. You don't want to do that. You want to go from the middle out. Okay, in the middle to the edges. You, don't you don't want to run into this little Nick. You know what I mean. That'S that's going to turn into this massive tear, because you you you pull bond it. You don't want that to happen. So go from the middle out with your tape, so you're gon na spray, this on there and then slowly just roll it off most of this guy's is lack of patience. I can tell you straight up because I'm the most impatient person on the planet, everything I do - has to be in a hurry. I don't know why, but that's just the case and it's the truth and I'm going Creek a terrible habit of mine it. So if you do that - and you put a little isopropyl, don't don't douse the unit, it's bad for the hair, it's bad for the polyurethane it'll dry! It out just get a little bit on there and just work its way off. You'Re only probably going to be dealing with one piece that you made a mistake with anyways, so you can fix that that way. Now I'm gon na move the camera and I'm gon na gon na show you guys you're in my bathroom about as rude as it gets. My normal stuff is here on my countertop, but I'm gon na show you how to get this tape off. You'Re not gon na, be able to see me because I'm gon na move the camera down, but I want you guys to know that I have used my adhesive remover, okay and I sprayed my unit down the minute I took it off. I laid it on my counter and in my bathroom here it's been sitting on my countertop here and I sprayed it down with probably seven or eight pumps of this product, my adhesive remover and I let it sit. While I was cleaning my scalp getting all the glue and doing my exfoliating and all that stuff, I let that product sit on there. Another thing guys do not do not do not do not use any petroleum-based cleaners that are available on the market on my units or probably on anybody's units that really care about their product and the reason being is they're super fragile petroleum-based products, and I'm not talking About petroleum-based, like Vaseline, I'm talking about petroleum-based, carbon-based cleaners that will they'll probably take the chrome off a trailer ball. They would get the tape and the glue and everything off your head, and probably once one swipe. It'S not what we're going for here, guys. That is very destructive on a quality hair unit. It'S not a good idea, so don't use petroleum-based products that they smell like turpentine or kerosene, or something like that. It'S not the product to used any cleaner that you see from me, c22 walker's brand as well is a citrus based product. It'S an oil based product, that's not petroleum, based so all-natural ingredients. So that's you taught one petroleum-based product anyways we're gon na get on to it, so I'm gon na move the camera alright. So now you guys can see I'm thinning up. You know I mean it does, take thin thin a trim. So what I do is I get my paper towels. I get a couple of them and I just kind of fold and what you're doing here is you're getting a pad, something that you can hold okay and then I take it now that I've got you can see. The product here is like running off because I sprayed so much of it. So what I'm doing here is all I'm trying to do is work my way from the inside out, okay inside out, and I'm trying to dry the top of the tape. So it starts rolling up so I'll roll this this in this fashion, now you're you're, holding good you're, holding good stability on the unit. You don't want all this flapping around and all this other crazy stuff, good, stable, you're holding it from underneath and at the top, and I'm only working in this small area right here. Okay, so I'm gon na roll that now I've got it started. Okay! Now I can see where it started. I slowly pull just like this away from the unit and then I've got my paper towels. I usually have them laid out right here. I didn't do it today, but I have my paper towels. I lay them out and then I take what I've got on my finger and I rub it on the paper towel today. It doesn't want to do it and it sticks to the paper towel and now it's off of my hand, it's not on your counter, and you don't have to worry about that one. Now you go to the next one. Now you can see here all right. It'S it's totally laid flat, so what I do is I take and make sure that it's not wet. You want to make sure you get a dry corner. Okay, so I'll start pushing away from the middle see if I can get better in the camera, pushing away from the middle holding good. I don't even know the word to put there making sure that you're holding the unit the unit itself snug, and it's not you're not over here working you're right, where your hand is okay, so drying that tape up all right. So now I've got a corner started. All I'm gon na do is grab that corner and pull it slowly away from the middle towards the outside boom. How could how could you tear this? You know what I mean. If you do it this way, you're not going to tear it we're gon na. Do one more than work, you're gon na call it good we'll go over here so now I got to switch to my right hand, I can see where my tape begins right here. All right, you see how I'm holding the unit snug. I'Ve got my corner up boom tapes going, so you got to do so. That'S what that's what I got today, guys let the adhesive remover do its job, that that is uber, uber important, that you let it break through that tape and it actually breaks the bond down and do not go fast. Do not go if you see a little nick or something cut that little nick out, if you can, because it's kind of like it's gon na want to run and that Nick will run into a tear. So that's what I got today guys. I hope that information helps subscribe below hit that thumbs up button boom boom boom. If you like the content and we'll see in a couple of days, thanks

Emil Phoryew: The day hair cloning gets figured out is the day we will cheer and feel relieved. This should have been figured out a long time ago. Thankfully people are beginning to treat this matter a lot more seriously now, so eventually we will get there. Hair loss is not just a cosmetic problem but becomes a mental health issue for people and can affect physical health as well due to mental suffering. If there is a cure for this scourge, there is no excuse to keep it from the world. A cure for hair loss would create so much happiness and relief to those suffering. The world would turn into a better place. No amount of money or lost profits is worth keeping the cure from those who are desperate. The amount of happiness and peace people would feel to get cured of hair loss is worth more than any money or profits that one could amass. If anyone does have a cure please don't stay silent! The satisfaction of making people feel whole is worth more than any amount of money could give!

Will Landen: Just a couple of things I do to help with removal process. My system is nylon mesh with 1 1/4 poly perimeter. I use 99% alcohol rather than 91 as the 99% is a better solvent for removing the tape residue. Over the many years I have found the 99% alcohol does not damage the base (any more than 91%) yet does a much better job or removing residue. I use 5 day tape. In addition, I wrap a piece of kleenex or toilet paper in my fingers to grab the tape when peeling off. This makes the tape easier to hold and keeps the tape residue off your fingers. I then use a large cotton ball with alcohol to wipe the taped areas clean and remove any final residue. Easy peasy ...

R Ignatz: brilliant video Curtis....I watched this after you referred to it in your video from earlier today. I was worried that a 0.03mm would be a one time wear piece until i watched this video (as i much prefer tape to lace). Thanks....so informative as always.

faye finch: dude loving ur work so honest totally on point help me alot on the way i do my hair my first unit i brought was a nightmare cause i was uneducated used products that stripped the hair many thanks keep up the good work man .thumbs up .

Talon Harvey: I use Duo tac tape. It is less sticky on one side that you apply to the poly. It still is hard to get off but not anywhere near as bad as a other tape. Regular tape us just to strong to risk ripping anything thinner than a .o8 thick.

Billy Chalmers: I thought the glue was to much especially when having to take it off and clean the piece. So I was really looking forward to the tape but this tape was even stickier to the piece after taking off. Not sure what happened

Joshua Morton: I've tried using red liner tape on my thin skin and then Ultra hold tape on my scalp. Cleaning up has been really difficult because the red liner tape is stuck down really strong to the poly. It didn't peel off as nice as yours did in this video. Any idea what might be wrong? Thanks for all the great videos Curtis!

Chris Mazzola: Can you do a video on a common problem like when the hair system slides back? I notice that after a few days, the system slightly goes back and my forehead becomes bigger even with strong tapes. I use French lace with poly on the sides and back. What can I do differently to stop it from sliding and staying in place? Thanks

Neison Promise: I used tape and it's hell lot of struggle to get it out. The unit tore on my third use. Definitely tape is not a good idea, they pretty much get bonded to the skin. I tried it on your unit itself and tried to remove on second week after use. Be very careful it will tear your unit for sure. MINE TORE....I'm trying to repair it

J C: Hey Curtis, I use this method as well thanks to your video. It works really well. I had a question. Do your poly units turn white when they’re wet? I soak mine in Ghost Buster for about 30 min and the solvent reacts with the water and turns white. However, even after shampooing, I notice the base is still white until completely drying. Do your thin skin bases do this also?

thepatman27: Hey Curtis is walker solvent ok to use? It is a hydrocarbon solvent. I’ve been using it for quite a while as I avoid citrus products due to having a very oily scalp.

Mike: When I remove the tape, it usually leaves a small residue that's extremely hard to remove, any tips?

Danny in Asheville: Okay. The tape is off. How do you clean the residual adhesive that remains on the base itself?

faye finch: its all a learning curve guys listen to this guy hes bang on and has the experiance that us newbys need big up curtis ur the man

iseehellin3d: Hey Curtis if i buy the kit from MHE, could i still go somewhere, like a salon for installation and if yes what kind of places should I look up where they have expertise with such matter ?

Hector Obeng: Hi Bro So there’s no glue that will last on the hair line and edges for 2-3 week. Can I just keep re adding the glue on the edges when it lifts. Or have I gotta remove all the glue, clean and apply then . Lastly should I add glue to the lace or skin for best results? Thank you D

Wes Hamby: I can't get tape to last more than a week on my head. Same with clear bond. It's like after a week the tape/bond gets greasy feeling and the unit can literally slide a bit on my head. It comes off super easy (too easy) and the tape sticks the the unit leaving only a slick, greasy feeling residue on my scalp. I did find that your MHE adhesive remover works better than Isopropyl alcohol to get the old tape/bond off the unit. So far, only a full bond using ghost bond is working for me. Awesome video man! It's a question I'm sure a lot of us have had.

maniackgb1: I know its not ideal, but can you tape the hairline instead of glue?

classic library: Hell yeah!! I love when you show us the real stuff

Kimber Zimmerman: Hey man. Really interested In a hair system. Do you only use tape on the front hairline too?

Axv geek: So easy

alex dean: Are there hair pieces that are for a full scalp and not just the top/crown region? I havnt been able to find any info on the actual size of the hairpieces.

Paul Orr: Good video I need to try the paper towel. I have an all poly unit and I only use two pieces of tape one front one back. I remove the unit every night. It is 6 weeks old looks like the day I got it. Tape is easy. When I remove the tape yes there is residue left behind. I will have to try your remover. C-22 just melts the tape and leaves the glue behind.

Kuldip Singh: Curtis, tape causes my scalp itch, I have tried Walker Blue, Red and Easy Green. Can you please recommend an alternative?

Sleep Masters: Is there tape included in the starter kit? Thank you.

Billy Chalmers: I just tried using the tape on my head, I went to take it off and it was almost like the tape had melted. It was such a mess trying to clean the sticky tape of my scalp and getting it off the unit. Was it the kind of tape I used? It was on my head for only 1 week.

Howard Motley: Hey Curtis, please let me know when it's possible for me to get a custom system from you with lower density, if at all possible.

Josh gates: So, the mhe hair products aren't made water soluble? I tried washing out with water but seems like products still on the hair.Does that mean I have to shampoo them out everytime, so that means that it'll strip and lessen the life of the unit...any advice? I thought the mhe products would be water soluable..

Natan: I really needed this video! Thank you!

Sebastián Najmanovich: Is Elvive by L’Oréal, petroleum or bad for the unit?

Wade Ursrey: How do you remove the hair piece before removing the tape off the hair piece?

SV Mana: How do you cut the tape - eyebrow scissors? Can you cut down the width of the tape?

Joe F: Hey hey! What’s the crown of your system look like? I’ve watched a lot of your videos and don’t see many images showing the crown.

Joshua Adrian: Hai bro, my tape is super sticky on the unit, it’s going worst while i clean with a eucalyptus oil How about that?

Ruminator: It took me 12 tries on and off to get this one on right, it was a 2 day nightmare, but when I got it right it was heaven. I am going 10 months here and still looks better than ever. Will go a year no problem, and will keep it as a backup after that. The only reason I change after a year is so I have a backup rather than using it to the end.

Samuel M.: But after the tape is taken off there is still glue residue left behind. How you clean that gently?

scott hutchinson: Hi curtis, never thought of using tape on a thin skin so thanks for the video, would you recommend going swimming with tape on a thin skin unit?

Michael L: Can you do a video talking about what hairpieces would be like for guys with severely recessed temples? Your sides/temples are perfect but not everyone’s are

Robert Bonanno: I ben putting my hair unit in a bucket of water for couple hours until soft so simple peals write-off. I always have 2 or more units so i rotate all the time.i just moved to the Philippines so hot and humid I'm so use to my other hair unit with the lace in the front. My thin skin is so hard for me to put on. Glue every where all over the unit I'm so frustrated about to shave my head and forget the mess bit I think my wife will freak out. Lol I ben dealing with this for 17 years I don't know what to think anymore. So sad

Guido Loko: @10:12 when you say "cut the nick out, if you get a year". How can u do that? Especially if it's in the middle of the unit???

Eastie DC: I can remove any adhesive off of skin unit in less than 2 min. No product necessary.

Cole Bonsignore: How thin is the poly skin and are you using walker ultra hold tape

Tom Smith: hey curtis, is it possible to do a buzz cut with a hair system?

iamjom 191: What's glue you use?

Nikhil Dhar: Hey Curtis could you possibly do a full maintenance video for a lace system and share the products step by step used in process at home instead of a professional salon. The reason being I've heard a lot of places secretly use petroleum based cleaning agents to clean the system. I just wanted to know if we do the maintenance procedure at home what can we use to clean the system completely.

Digibac: It say's on your website to refer to True Tape for the product information of this solvent. What is this particular solvent you are selling?

Maxamillion: Do you over lap your tape? Or leave small gabs between peices?

Abd Al Waheb Klaho: My brother, how much is the price of hair and how can I get it? I live in Turkey Istanbul

Mark Vincent Valerio: is this 0.03mm thin?

Romano Gitano: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Good video & info: as usual..... Abrazos

V12: Hello, Sir, I'm Egypt and I'd like to have this product. I'm 25 year and I'm feeling desperate. Please attention

faye finch: sorry also curtis ever tried ur hair at a theme park how do u think it would be eg all the fast rides i think i would have to wear a hat lol

Greg Weigel: Hi Curtis always good info.. A couple of ideas for fragile thin skin units. Simply bumping up the Polly thickness to a.33 will really help this without giving up much if any a Aesthetics. But the best way I found to deal with it is to brush a thin layer of poly repair coat on the areas where I placed tape. It increases the integrity in that area and allows the tape to to be easier to remove. This was a game-changer for me because I replaced my tape every 4 days

daniel stengel: is it possible to use walker extenda bond plus tape with the blue backside or is that tape to strong to get off

whichoneever: Curtis, I got a poly now but thinking about buying a poly (all around or only on the front) the rest Swiss lace or something more durable. What are the cons to what I want to do compared to a 03poly

Nervous Energy: Ok, so you describe well how to take the tape off the unit. HOW did you get the unit off you? Just rip?

Blackice 12345: Yes
