Diy Sample Boxes | For Hair Extension Companies

Hi y’all! Thanks for tuning in again. Today’s video is all about my custom hair sample boxes. Hair samples are a great way to attract customers.

Most people aren’t ready to spend hundreds of dollars on hair extensions with a company they never heard of. This is a great way for them to experience your brand in a very affordable way.

When I say affordable, I am stating it’s affordable for the customer. These boxes are not inexpensive. Custom boxes can be extremely expensive but it’s a great way to invest in your business and add value into your business.

Hey everyone, so in today's video i'm going to be showing you how i created my hair sample boxes. If this is something that you would like to do stay tuned, i cannot wait to show you guys so to get started. The first thing you're going to need is something to put your hair samples. Inside of i decided to choose boxes, because boxes are just very easy to customize and you can also ship out the boxes. As is, i was able to choose the size and the dimensions of this box. I was able to create my own design and put the box together. So, basically, if you are looking to create a sample box, you are free to be as creative as you want. With the design you can choose whatever dimensions you want, however, what you want it to say what colors you want to use. It'S all up to your creativity, so once you have your boxes, the first thing you want to do is fill your boxes with crinkle paper. Well, at least that's what i use. I use pink because pink goes hand in hand with my brand colors and basically, i just put a nice size amount into all of the boxes. Now it's time to create the hair samples, so i create the hair samples from my actual bundle of hair. No, my vendor doesn't pre-cut the hair or anything like that. For me, this is something that i have to physically sit down and do so. Basically what i do. I open up the bundle, so i unravel it and once i unravel it, i am going to take some measuring tape and use it as a guide so that i'm able to cut each hair sample um around the same amount. Have it each hair sample is going to have the same width, so i like to do anywhere between three four or five inches. It just depends on um how how big of a sample i want to create, of course, when you're creating your hair, your hair samples, you are going to make them whatever size or whatever length that you would like to make them now. Of course, when you create the hair samples, you are going to make each sample the same width, so you're going to cut them evenly and equally, because that consistency gives everything a polished and professional look and basically, i'm just going to continue to cut samples for each One of my hair textures until i'm basically done creating enough samples needed for my sample boxes. Once all of my samples have been cut, i need to label them, so i label them by using these square business cards. I will leave the link in the description box below with the company that i used in order to get these printed out, but i have a different set for each hair sample type that i have. I also designed these using canva, if you guys are not using canva. You'Ve been missing out right here. Is the tagging gun that i use so that i'm able to attach um the labels onto the sample and using a tagging gun is very simple. You want to grab your sample, you want to grab um the business card, the label, i'm mixing the followers the label. Basically, you just punch a hole straight through the label, and then you punch a hole straight through the weft and then you press down on your tagging, gun and bam is connected. So it's very simple and easy to use a tack gun. So while i'm using a tagging gun, i might as well show you guys how to insert new fasteners into your tagging gun. So basically you have two sides. You have a size that has the tag on it and then you have another side with a t. It makes a t line so the side right there that i'm touching, that makes the t line. That is the side that you insert inside of your tagging gun and to it to insert it. You line up the t side through the opening so right there at the top there's an opening, and you literally just push it in yep. Just push it on in mine does not click, so you won't know if it's like in there good enough, but you'll know it's in there good enough when you um shoot the tagging gun and the tag actually comes out the way it's supposed to so yeah. I am just going to continue with tagging all of my hair samples. Now, once you start cutting and touching hair hair does start to become frizzy, so i like to use hair nets around the hair samples now the hair net i wanted. I wanted it to be black, but sometimes in business you have to work with what's available and they only have the brown ones available. So basically, what i'm doing i'm grabbing the hair samples and i am fixing them up a bit once you cut hair samples. You'Ll have loose hairs on the end, so i pull those loose hairs out some of the curls i'll rake, my fingers through the curls or i will twirl the curls around my finger just to have the curls pop again. But you want your hair samples to be very presentable. You do not want loose hair and for your hair samples to look like they're shedding, so you want to, you, know, fix it up, dress it up to your likings and once it's all dressed up. I take all three samples and i place it inside of a hair net. So once you have included a hair net around the samples you are going to start placing them inside of the sample boxes and to top everything off i'm using the same company that i purchased the sample tags from. I use that same company to print out these flyers with a coupon code on it, so that these customers can come back and make another purchase. Basically, i just put those in the boxes, and now this sample box is completed.
