Zala Tape In Hair Extensions Before: After And Review | Clip In Vs Tape In Extensions

Heyy Loves ! Don't forget to subscribe and watch in 1080p !

I hope you enjoy this review and before/after demo of the zala tape in hair extensions !! I wanted to show you this review and comparison to show you the pros and cons between the zala tape in and zala clip in extensions. Now that I have owned both I wanted to weigh the pros and cons for you all! I have been wearing the zala hair extensions for about 2-3 years now, and I LOVE this brand and the quality of their hair !! The thickness from top to bottom is perfect and the multi dimensional color makes their extensions blend flawlessly with your hair ! I have been loving the luxury of tape in extensions and not having to worry about applying my extensions every day. There are many more steps involved when taking care of tape in extensions such as using sulfate free shampoo, keeping oils and heat away from the tapes, and sleeping with the hair in a braid and on a silk pillow. The better you care for your zala tape in hair extensions, the longer they will last ! These tape in extensions can last anywhere from 9-12 months depending on how well you care for them, so these steps are crucial !! I hope you all enjoy this video where I compare clip in extensions versus tape in hair extensions and show you a before and after of my 20 inch zala tape in hair extensions !! (P.s. We only ended up using about 60 pieces of the 80 I ordered because we didn't want any to show)

Xoxo

Hey, let's welcome back to my channel, I'm Mariah today we're going to be talking about hair extensions. I know I have a few videos on here already talking about hair extensions, but those were the clip-in hair extensions and, as you can tell by today's title today, I'm talking about keepin hair extensions, because that's what I'm going to be getting in my hair very soon And I'm so excited, I can't wait so the clip in hair extensions and the tapes and hair extensions that I have owned are both from the brands, Ella and there's a good reason for that they are based in Australia. So it's a little bit more for shipping and an international processing fee, but it is so worth it. I promise you guys. I have used these for so many years now and there are really really nice qualities. I'Ve had two sets of clip-in, hair extensions and now the tapes. I keep my clip in hair extensions in here. This is just a protective bag and it helps to keep the dirt off it and keep them from tangling in a drawer. I know this isn't sponsored by Bali. I just love them so much that most of the products that have to do with hair extensions, I order from them. So these are my clip in hair extensions. We'Ve been using these for about two or three years now. This is my second set, and this is the burgundy red they haven't been dyed or anything. But what I love so much about this brand is that these extensions are stick from the very top all the way to the bottom. You can see just how thick that hair is there and if I twist it up here, you'll see the thickness of all of this here at the bottom, so so so thick even at the very bottom. And that's what I really like about these extensions. A lot of the extensions that I've tried in the past are a little bit more stringy at the bottom, which some people really like that, because they think it looks more like natural hair. However, for me, I'm going for the length and thickness, so I would really like to have that in my extension, as you can tell my natural hair is so thin and stringing itself at the bottom. That'S the reason I wear hair extensions because I do have lengths and I like the length, but my hair is at right now, but if you can tell at the end there's just like nothing to it so stringing it so fine, that's just not really the look. I want to go for so I use extensions to give me that extra volume, as well as a little bit more length on top of that and the clip in hair extensions worked really well for me for quite some time, because I could put them in when I wanted to and not deal with, someone I didn't want to with long and thick hair comes a lot of extra work, so it was nice to be able to take that out and not worry about the work when I didn't want to deal with it. However, there are a couple of negatives to clip in hair extensions, and that is one for, if you have to put in as far as putting them in your head every single day, so something that I never really could do. So I only wore them for videos or special events, but it still is such a hassle. By the time I got done with my makeup. I just had no energy left to worry about my hair, especially clipping them in. So that's one of the reasons why I want to try tapes just so that they're already in my hair - and I do know that TPR extensions are a lot of extra work and we'll talk about that a little bit later. But the other negative that I saw to clip in hair extensions is the thickness at the top of the web. So this is the West. It'S just a piece of hair that they throw together at the top now Zala hair is double drawn, triple WestEd. So that means it has three of these wet all sewn together right here and it's going to hold really well because it's double drawn. But one of the negatives that I see to clip in hair extensions is that when it's in your head like so of course, it looks a lot more beautiful and luxurious. But if you notice at the top here, even when it's flat against my head, they stick out a little bit and that's because of those clips. They are a little bit more thick and when you have very thin hair like I do, this is very noticeable. So it's a lot harder to hide that now it's taped, hair extensions, I'll show you in a second. The top of those whips are very thin because it's just the strip of tape on it, rather than a clip, so they're a lot easier to hide in your head. So those are just two of the things that I saw as cons to the clip in hair extensions that I thought, tape and hair extensions would be able to fix for me and make my life easier. So I'll go ahead and open up my tape and hair extensions and show you now. I got two boxes of these Ella's tape and hair extensions, and I got these in dirty blonde. That'S what my stylist suggested, because we are going to be doing the black to red, ombre kind of like what I had before, but I wanted to do a lot more red, because when I wish to order my hair extensions, I was just going to do the Burgundy red again, however, as Allen does not sell the burgundy red extensions in tape they're only for Clips, so she suggested that we do the dirty blonde. That way, we can dye the tops of them black and then the bottoms red so that it blends with my natural hair and Bala sells their tape in hair extensions in groups of 20 and each 20 pack has about 52 grams of hair. So a lot of people get 40 pieces or 60 pieces if you're looking for volume and that works really well for them. I looked at the grams on the amount from the cheap hair extensions versus the clip-in hair extensions and that's how I decided how much to get myself. So. My clip in hair extensions were about 220 grams of hair, that's kind of like the weight and the number that you can go off of to know how much hair you're going to be getting. There was only one piece that I did not put in my hair consistently when I use my clip in hair extensions, so I knew I was going to need about 200 grams give or take, and that was how I decided how many Tate pieces that I was Going to meet both the clippings and the tape, extensions that I ordered were the 20 inches and I think that's a good length for me because it makes my hair look a lot longer. But it's not too overdone. So when you look at the tape extensions online here and have the prices in the grams just to kind of give you an idea, if you order the 20 pieces, it's 52 grams, which is $ 89.99 in US dollars, the 40 pieces is 105 grams and it's 160 9.99 u.s. dollars and the 60 piece is 160 grams and that one is 200 29.99 and US dollars. Lastly, the 80 piece is 215 grams and that one is 299 and 99 cents in US dollars. So originally I was going to get the 60 piece, but that's only a hundred and sixty grams, and that would be a lot of hair. I'D be missing out on that. I really liked the look of in my hair, so I figured why not go for the 80 piece and if I have a few extra that I don't need, that's fine. I can use those next time, so I did order the 80 pieces and it came in two boxes. So I'm going to guess that there's 40 pieces in each box I'm going to open one box up right now with you guys and we'll take a look. I haven't got these out at all yet because I wanted to keep them in their packaging and keep them nice for as long as possible. So when you open it up, you have two sets here. You have 20 pieces in here and 20 pieces in here. I'Ll go ahead and open up one of these packages to kind of show you what they look like. So when you take them out of the plastic, they look like this. Obviously, that's not a match for my hair color, but it's going to be dyed. So keep that in mind. There are 20 pieces in here once again, as you can tell they are 6 from top all the way to bottom. Look at the bottom of that! It'S so incredibly thick and that's why I love these. Oh, my gosh. If you could feel how soft these were, you would absolutely die. This is why everyone can't stop touching their hair when they get them put it. There are so silky smooth and look at that. Color gorgeous and what I've noticed about valid hair extensions is that every color is multi-dimensional. So that means regardless, if your hair is a perfect match for not, there are so many tones in each color that it's going to help to make it a lot more blendable and look a lot more natural. So that's a really good plus here is one piece of the tape. So this is what the tape looks like. It does have a protective film on top of it, so that the adhesive is not exposed and, as you can tell, these are a lot more flattened in the clip in hair extensions. So when this is your head, I lay it flat there. It'S basically non-detectable, so you really can't see that from the side like we could win a clip in hair extension, and that's one of the reasons why I really think these are going to work for me and the way they type in hair extensions work is that, Like I said one side it just has the hair and the other side has the tape or the adhesive. So what they do is take a really thin piece of hair, and then they take that tape with the adhesive exposed, and they put it right next to your scalp underneath that piece of hair and then they take a second piece and sandwich that right on top Of the other piece, so that you have your hair in the middle of both of those pastes and it's going to hold together really nicely with the adhesive on both sides. Then, once it's been, it's going to be close to your scalp and, as you give it a day or two it'll grow a little bit enough to where you can flip this. So if you want to put your hair up, you can put it up and if you want to put your hair down and leave it down, it's nice and flat to your head. So that's what's really nice about these is they're very versatile. You can use them for up tunes. You can keep your hair down, you can curl them, you can straighten them, you can wash them. I also wanted to mention that when I place my order through della, I already had the tangle teezer, which looks like this and that one's really awesome for not pulling on your hair. But I also wanted to have the leak brush, because a lot of people say those are nice for having extension. So it looks like a regular brush, but the bristles are actually loops, and that is supposed to help with not pulling your hair as much either. And I want to do everything I can to keep these extensions as nice as possible for as long as possible, because it's really expensive to get them done and you don't want to have to keep buying in hair and another thing. I think it's really nice about hair extensions. They send over a free gift every time you order. So that's always really exciting to see what you get. So I know the one time I got a makeup brush and I forget what I got last time. I don't know why I can't remember Oh an eyelash curler and then this time I got a matte lipstick. So that's really exciting. This one is in the color, plum kind of looks like what I'm wearing today, but this isn't the one that I've used. So that's always exciting to just have something to look forward to that. You don't know, what's going to be in there, so once you get your hair installed for the first time you place it very close to your scalp and, of course, as your natural hair begins to grow, the two pins are going to go lower and lower, as They get to a point where they're a little bit more uncomfortable. That'S when you know you need to be going in and getting them moved up. Typically, they say you can keep them in without moving them up about six to eight weeks, depending on how fast your hair grows. For me, I'm not sure how long that's going to be, but I'll, let you guys know so when they need to take them out and move them up. All they do is put and some type of oil or something near the adhesive, because oils will break down that adhesive and let the extension slide out. They will take that all off put a new piece of tape on top and then move it back up to the top of your scalp. When I place my order, I actually did order some of the taste to use whenever you are getting them redone and this tape is 540 centimeters and it cost $ 23.99 in u.s. dollars. So I'm going to go ahead and drop these extensions off to her and the next time I'll see you I'll have long, luscious, hair taped into my head I'll show you what it looks like once they are taped in and we'll talk a little bit more about The hair care, because, let's tape, hair extensions, there's a lot more work that goes into it so stay tuned for me as longer, hey guys. So I'm back - and this is what my hair looks like now for at least the next two months, thanks to Vala tape and hair extensions, a my wonderful stylist, Sarah, I am so impressed. I did not think it was going to blend this amazingly. I was so nervous to see if it was going to look right on me and I'm so happy that it did you guys. I am so in love with these. It'S only been a day and a half, and I'm so happy that I need this decision. Shape and hair extensions are by far easier than clipping, because you don't have to worry about putting them in every single day granted. They are more work, like I mentioned before. You'Re definitely going to have to be careful with them. You don't want to brush them too hard. I make sure to use my dilute brush every time I brush it and I brush it frequently throughout the day, so that there aren't any tangles and knots. Therefore, keeping the hair nicer for longer, of course, you have to be a shampoo and conditioner without sulfates in it, so that's just something small to adjust to and then sleeping in a braid and sleeping in general with these in is much much different. It feels so weird on your hair at first, but it's something you get used to like with everything else with it. The weight of the hair is something else that you adjust to, I'm already not noticing, and it feels normal, even though I have like four times as much hair in my head now. So don't worry about all those things. The one thing I didn't expect to happen was for it to be itchy at first, which, just like the other things I was mentioning, I'm already not noticing it any more at all. So I think it's all just an adjustment to get used to and once you're there you're just so thankful and happy that you have it. I mean really, even though you aren't adjusted you're still thankful and happy, because I would deal with all of those side effects. Anyways to have this beautiful hair every day, so it's all worth it. I feel like these extensions look so natural in my hair, and one of the reasons that it is that way is because we did custom color it to match my hair and that's the good thing about getting human hair extensions, because you can curl them straighten them And die my stylist did want me to mention any fellow hairstylist out there watching this video. If you are going to dye tape and hair extensions, it's really tricky because you want to get as high as possible. But if you get anywhere at all near those tapes, it's just a disaster because they aren't sticky anymore, which is a problem that we ran into. But my stylist is amazing and fixed it right. Then, in there we just put new tape on it. It was good to go, but you did want me to mention that tip in there just so that you're aware that, yes, they can be dyed, but you might ruin the tape in the process if you're not extremely extremely overly cautious, and the problem is, if you Don'T get really close to those tapes you're going to have a really big gap at the top, where the extensions are not dyed and that's something you already deal with with keep and hair extensions, because the tape is there that part of the hair isn't going to Pick up the dye like the rest of the hair anyway, so like with mine, I ordered dirty blonde and then we did from black to reddish purple at the bottom. So the very top of my extensions are still that dirty blonde color, but everything else is dyed and at first that might seem intimidating. But truly, if you have an amazing hairstylist that places them in the right spot. Anyways, like I do you're not going to have to worry about that anyways because you can't ever see them so you're not going to worry about the color difference. Which brings me to another point I wanted to make, even though these hair extensions have a lot of videos everywhere, showing you how to put them in yourself. It is something I wouldn't recommend until you're really comfortable, because for me, I'm a perfectionist, and so I wanted to know that this is all going to be put into my hair perfectly by someone who is licensed and knows how to do this. So that's where a hair stylist comes into play because it's really important to think about the placement of your teeth. Otherwise, when you try to put your hair in certain hair styles or put it up, it's going to be really noticeable and that's something that nobody wants. So obviously you have to keep it around the front of your face, the bottom of your neck and near your ears, but it also is important to tell your hairstylist in the consultation or during your appointment, what you plan to do with your hair. So my silence asked me: okay where's, your part at. Do you ever flip your part back and forth, because that has to do with the placement that she's putting towards the top of my head? She also asked what kind of up Sue's I would like to do and if I want like funds on top of my head or if I want low ponies that has to do with the angle of which she put the tapes in as well. So make sure you get yourself an amazing stylist like mine, that know what they are doing. That way, you don't have to worry about putting your hair up and seeing one of those tapes and that's the worst, because even though it's not your real hair, you don't want people to notice that, and if you didn't know me, you probably wouldn't know this business. My real hair because it looks very natural it blends flawlessly. That'S another reason why it's important to go to a hairstylist because they're going to go ahead and blend those hair extensions with your hair once they're put in so my stylist. I dropped the extensions off to her ahead of time and she used her free time to go ahead and dye them. Then I came in she dyed my hair with the exact same formula she used on the extensions, so they would match perfectly. She gave my hair a trim, put the extensions in and then blended it all together. So it would be flawless and you wouldn't be able to see the difference between my hair and the extensions. So I know she put a little bit of layers in there and definitely framed it around my face to help hide those shorter pieces that I have in front as well as my bangs, and that's really important, so going to a hairstylist will help you cover that As well - and I know a lot of people feel like they don't want to go to a stylist because of the money and they feel like they can do it at home. However, you're already spending a lot of money on these hair extensions anyways. So why not spend the money to make sure they're put in correctly and looks flawless, because you might have faults here, but if they're put in wrong, it's not going to be worth it in yet so as far as price, every state is different. Every stylist is different. It'S just important for you to call and get some price quotes from different people in your area. If you're in the same area as me, I'll put Sarah's Instagram once again down below, so you can check out her work if you'd like to get some cheap in hair extensions as well. She'S amazing and she makes you so comfortable, because, even though I was a first time customer, I felt like she was one of my good friends and if you're, not from the area like, I said, just call around different hair salons and ask if they have anyone Who is licensed and knows how to do teeth in hair extensions? Then you can get price quotes so I'll, go ahead and show you what one of the tapes looks like once it's applied in my head and I'll show you where, at the top of that you can see the dirty blonde coloring. So, as I mentioned before, and the West are just sandwiched in on both sides of your natural hair so that it has something to hold on to and they're really flat to your head. So right there is one of my tapes and they're super comfortable, even though they're close to your scalp, you really don't feel them and because they're so flat, you can flip them up when you're doing it up too, and then they go flat. That way too. So they're really easy to work with and super easy to hide as well as long as they're placed correctly. So I hope that covered most of the details with tape and hair extensions, if you guys have any questions at all, feel free to leave those in the comment box down below and I'll get back with. You guys. I hope you guys enjoyed this video if you did, please give it a thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe to my page with that big red subscribe button down below that.
