How To: Super Flat Install + Lace Melt | Jet Black Bustdown Ft. Westkisshair

Hello, everyone and welcome back to my channel. It is your girl, Jasmine Destinee, if you're new here, if you're returning, hey girl, hey, what's up, let's go! What'S goody, we're back with a new video, I'm gon na be doing a wig install today, um and I'm gon na be slowing it down for you guys, because I feel like my technique has improved, and you guys also like watching me - go from real regular, real Chill real natural, real cute, but just giving natural to full Glam. So that's what we're going to be doing today, um, I actually do have an event to go to now to get ready with me. I am going to be like making this more tutorial-esque, but I just thought I'd share that I'm getting ready to go to an event as well, so yeah I have about two and a half hours, so I need to get the ball rolling. It'S going to be very cute, I'm trying to recreate a hair install that I saw on summer. Walker I'll insert the photo but yeah I'm trying to recreate and look real cute so on the inside of your satin bag. You'Re gon na get your wig inside of here, of course, but you're also gon na get some accessories. So I've got a bonnet in here. I'Ve got some wig caps. I got a pair of lashes and I believe, there's a comb too there's a comb and there's a band. So I'm going to be using these two things: um in the wig cap um. I actually already took my wig out of its bag. I'Ll have all the specs down below, but this is a 200 density. What is this 22 inch? Wig nice HD lace. Look at that lace, it's non-existent! So I went ahead and I bleached my knots and then I tinted the lace. That'S all I did oh and I tweezed very lightly - very, very lightly, because honestly, it already came pre-customized, so it didn't really need much work, which I love the hairline's giving I'm about to put this on. I need to do my bald cap method. Of course, I'm not braiding my hair down like in cornrows. I just have it in two braids that I'm gon na tuck together back here and just have at the nape of my neck. It works for me. I will speed through this part really quickly, because I feel, like you guys, have seen me - do my wall cap method before and it has not changed so pure me, okay, so I'm gon na do my bald cap. Uh put that on using my got to be hairspray to adhere it, cutting the ear holes out, we're doing this real, quick, real fast, because, honestly, this hasn't changed. For me, this method dry, it. I tinted my lace and I bleached my knots so I'm just showing you what the inside of the wig looks like. You have three Combs around the crown and then one at the nape of the neck and an adjustable strap. So I went ahead and I put that on flip to my hair clipping it back, so the hair is out the way. So we can really see what the hairline is, giving and yeah it's giving, but lace well, not yet, but it's gon na be giving one lace so I went in and I already did one layer of glue off camera. So this is the second layer of glue. I did three in total, but I don't think I showed all three so I only did three layers of glue, but you want to make sure you apply a generous amount and then smooth it out. So it's a really thin layer of glue so that it can dry clear if you leave it too thick in one area. It'Ll stay white and it won't go all the way clear and I've learned this obviously from trial and error. So I did three layers of glue and then I'm going in and I'm sticking down the lace using my little comb and I like this method because it allows the comb to like stick the lace on without sticking the hair to the glue. So I've had that issue too before in the past, so I like to take the comb and basically use that to stick the lace down. So that's what you guys see me doing here and then I'm going to go ahead and cut tabs on the lace so that we can remove the lace in sections instead of just doing it all in one. I feel like this is much easier for me and then I went ahead and I cut my ears out and yeah when I did this wire I was like oh this is this. Wig is great, like this is a wig that actually fits my head. Like look. It literally looks like it's coming out of my scalp, like around my ear. It just fits so perfectly. I got this wig in a large size, a large cap size and I've always gotten like mediums, and I've had issues with it, not fitting this one was perfect. I put my little West Kiss band on so that I can melt that glue into the lace and then I took it off and I'm going to go ahead and cut the lace off using a little eyebrow razor. I got these eyebrow razors. It was like a pack of five for, like eight dollars from I think, Burlington Coat Factory, but you can honestly you can find them anywhere. So I'm going ahead and I'm cutting the lace off, and I noticed that when I pull the lace away from my face - and I use the razor in a down motion that that really gives me like a jagged edge, which gives me a really natural, looking hairline. Because you can't see the line like it's not a straight line, it's like really Jagged and, like you know, that's the whole point with using the razor is that you want it to give a very natural hairline. So I flipped what parts of the lace were not stuck down with glue, I flipped those back and then added a little bit more glue, blow dried it, and now I'm sticking down those areas. I'Ve got a close-up on this hairline and yeah. I was given scalp at this point. I was so so surprised, but, like also I was like nah like I did that I know like. I have to trust the process like I be a little bit nervous, every single time that I go and I do a new install because I'm like oh, I hope this comes out good. But honestly, my insults have been snapping for a while now, like I don't know why I'd be doubting myself, because your girl has really grown so much like my hair. Installs have grown so much on my channel like if you even go back and watch some of my older videos it just gives now. So I went ahead and I put my wig band back on so that I can melt that lace even more and I'm taking some got to be hairspray and I did a wax stick. But I don't know why I didn't record that part, but I put a little bit of a wax stick and some got to be hairspray and now I'm taking my hot comb and I'm really just pressing out this part we're doing a side part. The side part is honestly going to give so much like. I really really feel like the way to get a seamless, looking, install and just make it really look like it's coming out of your scalp. You have to have a hot comb like you have to hot comb. Your part, if it's in a middle part, if it's in a side part you need a hot comb, you need some a wax stick. You need a little bit of hairspray and you really need to press that part out because it makes the hair lay so flat, because when you think about it, the hair is tied onto the lace in little knots and the way that it's tied, it could be Tied in a certain direction, so the hair is going to fall in a certain action. So if you don't hot comb, the hair in the direction that you want it to lay it's not going to look as flat as you want it to so yeah. That'S my tip, like you, guys, need the hot comb. I know a lot of people don't want to buy a hot comb or don't feel like it's necessary. You could just use a flat iron. No, you need that hot foam cyst like you, need the hot comb from the root. So right now, I'm just cutting layers into the hair. I'Ve been doing that for like the last couple minutes, I'm not a hair professional, I'm not a hair stylist. I did not go to school for cutting hair, so I just be winging it I'd, be doing what I feel like. I would like I like to give myself more face framing layers, I like shorter pieces towards the front of my face like the front of my head and then towards the back a little bit less, but I still do put layers back there because I wanted to Give bounce and volume when I curl it so yeah. I went ahead and I just did that really quickly. I don't really I'm not a professional, so I don't want to tell you guys exactly what I do and it's like not what you're supposed to do. If that makes sense, but I showed it anyway, because I know that I was probably gon na get questions on how I cut the hair and then for the baby hairs part. I really took my time with this because I wanted it to look as much like the photo as possible. I wanted the baby hairs to look really soft. I didn't want them to be too dramatic right now, I'm taking my hot comb again and I'm making sure that I'm really pressing the part out, but also like around my edges. So I really wanted the baby hairs to like kind of come forward like curl forward and then curl back into the hairline kind of like how you would do them on yourself. Honestly. The the way that I've gotten better with doing my baby hairs is just looking at photos and videos of baby hairs that I like on other people's installs, like I feel like that's the best way kind of just like looking at a ton of photos and videos And seeing how other people do it because everyone does it differently, but I really wanted them to like come forward. So I went ahead and I pressed that out and then put my band back on and now I'm going to be doing my pin curls. This has like been my go-to for how I curl my hair. This is my baby bliss curling iron. It'S a one and a half inch barrel. The curls was hot shell because I had them on 4 30.. I think I had it on the max, so my hair was hot. So honestly I didn't need it to have. I didn't need to have it this high, but we move so I'm gon na go ahead and curl my hair and with each curl I pin it and then I hair spray, the hair, while it's still hot, it stays curled and pinned the entire time until it Cools down, I'm gon na end up doing my makeup and everything and it's still going to be pinned, and I just feel like this method works so well for me, especially with holding my curls longer than if I were to just curl them and let them drop Instantly, while they're still hot, they don't hold the curl, like it's literally going to be giving. I mean, unless you're going for, like a wave like a beach wave or just like kind of like bigger voluminous hair and not necessarily like a curled look. But I wanted this to be giving like curled body volume bombshell curls like I wanted bombshell, big sexy, curly hair. So that's what we're going for um! I cut the baby hairs little hair that I had left out and then I got one of these little pencil. Um flat irons, it's like a half inch. I think I'm not sure exactly, but I got it off of Amazon. I will have it linked in my Amazon, storefront and Linked In the description box, for you guys but yeah. I went ahead and I just curled the baby hairs that I have left out. I only did one on the side that has like the flip, because you're not going to be able to see the other one and I didn't think it was necessary so um but yeah I'm taking a little bit of my a lot of body mousse. I really really love this mousse. I'Ve tried other mooses from other brands, and this one is just the best because it gets a little bit sticky as it starts to dry down. So, while you're working with laying your baby hairs, whether you're doing it on a wig or even on your natural hair, because I use this on my natural hair as well it as it's drying, it's getting a little bit tacky. So it really sticks the hair down. Tell me okay, so I'm about to do my makeup. I'M gon na do it off camera, I'm also recording a reel, so I'm gon na add some of the makeup stuff into the Reel that I'm doing for IG. I just did like my go-to with wings, liner yeah and my go-to new lip at the moment, but I'm about to take these curls down and see what it's giving honey and I'm gon na spray. So much more hairspray, because I noticed that when I first put a wig on like a fresh wig, you know fresh hair that the curls drop a lot quicker than if I curl my hair, like on day three or four with the same wig in and I Curl because there's like Hairspray from the last three to four days, so it's a little stiffer, so it doesn't sound like it would be better, but it's actually is better for, like holding a hairstyle. Oh there's, one more Playboy, Playboy Playboy. Okay, let me take the band off: hey ew, foreign wow. This is definitely my best install yet like I'm sorry, I have to get that out what no, because I ate that I ate down. Do you see my hair? Oh, ah, oh my God, my hair looks so good this lace, what lace? No, really like what? What lace! Please someone! Someone tell me what lace, because I can't find it. That'S crazy! I'M really yeah, I'm the one, not the two. Okay, I'm top two and I'm not too okay, shout out to watch his hair. This wig is Bomb okay, um.
