Hello, everybody and welcome back to my channel. So today i'm going to be talking to you all about my hair extensions and my experience with different hair extensions. So i've been getting extensions for not that long, maybe about eight months or so, not even very long um. I got them around the first lockdown um, so when i first got my extensions, i got tapes now to describe them i'll, put pictures to like support what i'm describing but they're like um about that wide and like strips of hair, and you tape them onto your Actual head and then obviously um that's how they like stuck onto your head um. I don't have tapes anymore um. Personally, i didn't really agree with them like. If i was to um like recommend any hair extensions, i would not recommend tapes, um i'll, tell you why. So basically, when i first got them um i had quite long hair and it was, i had 24 inch tapes um and it was a three-quarter head. So it wasn't a full head um and i found that because my hair was like naturally quite thin, um a full head might make them show. So i opted for a three-quarter head also because her extensions are so expensive and so is the hair so um. I opted to go for like um a like a smaller amount, so i just because i wanted to like ease myself into it. I guess because i hadn't like ever had them before, so i didn't want to like splash loads and loads and loads and loads of money on something that i wasn't sure whether i would like agree with or adapt to you know i mean so i got tapes And they looked amazing and i'm not gon na like say which, like people i went to before um, but the girl i went to she was really really lovely. Um shift really far away from me. So it's like a big long trek. So i did trek really really far just to get these extensions done and she was really lovely and the application was super super fast um, but the problem was, is i actually booked in for many tips and when i turned up she just started applying tapes into My hair and me being socially awkward. I was just like great thank you, so um. I ended up paying like five pounds extra because i paid the amount for the mini tips rather than the tapes, and i know it's only five pounds, which is why i didn't bring it up um. So initially i did actually want not want tapes, because i didn't really like the idea of having glue in my hair but um like as she was doing it. She was like you know, like you'll, be so glad you chose tapes um like you'll love them that, like all of the girls who come to me, they love their tapes. So i was like i'm sure i'll be fine. Um plus, i was just excited to have like nice long hair, so i didn't really like it didn't really clock in my mind, like i didn't really realize until the end i was like. I swear. These aren't what i booked him for editing, nicole here um just to add. I didn't mention this, but basically, if i had to gone to her, like oh you've ordered the wrong hair for me, then i would have had to wait like i'll. Just punch myself in the face, why didn't i like nailed myself in the face? Anyways um? If i like, would have said that to her, then she would have had to like send me home. So i would have had to drive all the way home, which was like an hour and a half drive order. The new hair wait a few days and then drive all the way back again and then drive all the way home again like it was like. There was just no point, and i was like look she's hyping up these like hair extensions, i'm sure it'd be fine. Like i really don't mind, i was including on like what the different types were anyway, so i was just sort of like: let's do that. Instead of having to wait and then drive back and forth back and forth all the time peace out, so i went home and i loved them like they looked amazing. They were so long and honestly so glamorous um and then i just sort of wore them. As i would and then it came up to about the refit time - and i was about to go on holiday um, so i decided to get them out because i wasn't sure about like the chlorine and stuff and i didn't really have much money at the time. So i didn't really want to like pay for the full-on refit i just wanted them like removed and to like, let my hair be natural and healthy for a bit so um, and also some of them had like fallen down to like here, and i can insert Pictures now, i'm just a little bit confused on how this one can be this far down my head, like i know my hair grows fast at all. It was actually like falling down to like down here and it looks really really bad um. I don't really know why that happened, so that was when i like messaged a lady i was like hey. I want them removed now, because they're like all starting to show um and they just don't look very good anymore and also the hair was absolutely fried um. I didn't expect to like fry it the way i did um. I didn't use that much heat on it like. I would style it sort of like how i have my hair styled now, but i'd always use heat protectant. I'D always do hair masks and the hair fried so easily. Now i know the hair. Wasn'T beauty works. I don't know what make it was. It was her own hair, so obviously she get herself a supplier, um and yeah. So it wasn't beauty wax hair. Just to put that out there um, so i don't really know what type of hair that was, but it was nice. It was soft at the beginning, but i just i somehow it fried really really easily. So it's really frizzy it wasn't soft. It didn't look like nice and sort of like flowy and wavy it just looked a bit like frizzy and not too great, like you could sort of tell that it wasn't real hair, so um. What did i do next? So i got them out and she gave me the hair like in bunches and she was like hey just make sure you deep condition these and then i sort of got home, and i literally like was so sounds like i hate my natural hair now like. I really miss my extensions. I was like i'm going on holiday and i'm not gon na feel pretty and then my mom was like i'm not gon na drive you all the way back up there just to get them back in so i was like hmm. Maybe i can refit them myself wrong. You can't don't do that um. It was just such a dumb idea on my behalf, but i'm a very impulsive person, so it happened. Basically, i bought like i retaped them because it's like little strips and then you put the tape on but normally like the hair woman will or man will put it on for you um, but i was like i do my own hair all the time. Let me try it so um i did and i retake them and it seemed fine and then i was like mom. Can you just put them in i'll? Show you how to put them in. I showed her like youtube videos and stuff, and she put them in for me and she did a pretty good job to be fair, like yeah, so they were back in and i was happy and i was ready to go on holiday with them in now. I went on holiday, i did my thing: they looked really nice on holiday um. I was a bit worried about like the chlorine, making them come out or like to dissolve the glue, but it didn't um and then i came back and i was like right. These aren't looking too snazzy now because they started to grow out and my hair grows really fast, so i needed to like obviously get them out, and i was like my hair lady's going to kill me if she found out that i put them back in. Like days after i visited her, so i was like i'll take them up myself too so um instead of buying remover, i googled how to make your own, and it said to use just like pure rubbing alcohol. This is such a bad story, like literally um, so it said to use rubbing alcohol, so i was like sure, so i got a spray bottle put in some rubbing out. Girls, like mom, just spray it on and they'll, come out and she did it and you know eventually we got them all out, but like some of the glue is still stuck in my hair, it took me literally forever to get the glue out of my hair. Like it was awful and like i thought, my hair was gon na be permanently like stuck together with the glue, but i managed to get it out. I literally just comb through it with conditioner like strand by strand. It was actually the most tedious thing, but i got it out eventually and then i was like this. I'M never doing this again. This is like a horrible experience. Um. I clearly didn't like bode well to them, and it wasn't just because, like that that refit then was done by myself, because before they grew out like quite like badly, and i didn't really like how they looked um. Which is why? Obviously, at that point i opted to just have them fully out and i was like i don't really think i agree with them, but obviously i wanted them back in just because i went back in for my holiday basically because i felt really ugly and i was Like i'm really upset about it, so that was my experience with tapes. So that's why i wouldn't personally recommend them. It was very long. It did look really nice. You know i mean like they were very nice um but like the hair fried quite easily, and it's also to the point where you can't wear your hair up, because you would see them like so obviously and like you know like when you see little kids and Like my cousins came up to me when we went like uni shopping and they were like, your hair is fake. We can see where it's glued in. I was like thanks, so that's not what you want like you, don't want someone to be looking at the back of your head and seeing these like big glue and strips like it doesn't look good um. So i think especially if you have like thinner hair. It'S probably not the best procedure for you um, so basically after that um i got a cut, and i chopped it to about here - and i insert some pictures now. So this is what it looks like um. I just did a big chop, because my hair was like really really like brittle at the ends and i also did an olaplex treatment um. My hairdresser did that all for me um and he did a lovely, lovely job, and i was really pleased with that hair. But short hair, just isn't me like it. Just doesn't bode well with me if that makes sense, so i was like okay, i want to get extensions again, but i'm not going to get tapes and there was this account. I'Ve been eyeing up for literally like a year over a year now, like maybe even two years, which is kind of bad, and i was like look. I'M just gon na go to her like um, like her salon, seems so gorgeous like her work is so amazing, like i was like she's stalking it. So basically i booked him with this girl. I went for a consultation i turned up and she basically colour matched me um and i opted for a three-quarter head of nano's in russian hair. I believe, but if i'm wrong i'll like put something up um so yeah, i got russian hair, so the options were mongolian. Russian and beauty works. I think, or maybe i got mongolian, i'm not sure so yeah. I got one of those hair types essentially um, which was the the cheaper, but not the cheapest. Like the mid, i think um, because obviously i wanted like good quality hair, but i didn't want it to be like super extortionate again just in case i had another bad experience, so i went for nano bonds and i got colour match and i booked in and Paid my deposit rora, so i turn up and the application takes so much longer than the tapes, and i was talking to the lady about it and she was like look. I can understand why you wouldn't like the tapes because, like she was explaining how a lot of her clients don't like the tapes, so the application took a lot longer um, which is obviously a good sign, because it means she's being a little bit more like intricate. About it and honestly, it looked amazing um. So now i've got the hair in um. This is 20 inches of nanos and you can see it looks so beautiful. I'Ve already had one refit, and so i've had it for about eight weeks now. I believe don't quote me on that and i think it's about eight weeks um. I had a refit about a week ago, just over a week ago, just as my hair was a little bit grown out, um so yeah. This is how gorgeous it is. You can see it's got like different tones in it and stuff and if you'd like to see the actual bonds themselves so they're like tiny little clips that go in. If you can see that they're, like tiny little clips, that go in to your hair and you can see how discreet they are, you know what i mean so so disagree and there's like 100 of those. I have 100 strands, which is what three quarter head is, and then our full head is 150 strands so um. My lady was saying to me that next time i get refit i can always add in 50, more strands to go for a forehead. If i want a little bit more volume, i'm still a little bit undecided. I do like the sort of this look because it's not like too heavy if that makes sense. But honestly it's like the best decision. I'Ve ever made. I'M literally obsessed with these extensions - and i literally can't imagine myself getting them out so if i was to recommend any sort of a hair extension type to you, i would recommend nanos um, because they're super discreet um super easy to maintain, like you can't even feel Them they're not uncomfortable whatsoever um and just make sure that you know who you're going to and you do your research and you find out what hair they are using, because you want to make sure that it doesn't like um, get burnt really easily etc. So yeah. That'S basically my little story time slash what hair extensions i'd recommend story. I guess um. I don't really know what this video was, but i know like i wanted to like talk about it because i absolutely love it and i'd love to like help. Someone out to choose what extensions they want so yeah. I hope you enjoyed if you did make sure to like comment and subscribe and make sure to turn your notifications on if you want to keep up to date with my videos, so yeah um, thanks for watching bye, guys

Libby Connor: Questions 1) Did they damage your hair like so far ? 2) How much were they and how much is a re-fit xx

Miss Paradise: That far down they weren't growing out, it's called slipping. They weren't installed correct. Tape is horrible especially for fine hair. Nano beads are beads with silicone lining. So much better. Glad you went to nano

Michelle C: There's so much misinformation here, nanos are not little clips they are beads which are clamped onto strands of your hair. Also you had bad tape installation, I had tapes for years and have recently switched to nanos, tapes have been hugely popular and if installed correctly they definitely do not slip out like yours did

Sarah Brewer: Have the nanos broken any of your hair at all? When you had them maintained? X

Gemma Dawson: How much were your nano bonds?

Ness L: Hi can you see them when your hair is up in ponytail? X

Madelaine Bellini: It seems like the stylist gave you bad/cheap extensions

Michelle C: tapes are sandwiched between strands of your hair not stuck to your head lol

VPN: I wish Americans sounded like this

Faith Woodsford: Do yours slip out x
