I got this color up here because this is probably the color that I'm gon na order next time when I get new hair when I need to get new ones, because then it's darker up top, so you don't see the tapes as much wood. If you have clip-ins, if you have tried some hair extensions from Amazon, what brand they were and what you thought about them, I've been thoroughly surprised and impressed with these, how they feel and how cheap they were. So I'm excited. I thought that I would touch on a couple of things I didn't I feel like. I was so frazzled the day that I got my hair done and the data I filmed about my hair that I didn't really talk too much about the process. So my natural hair is about right here, so it gave me you know about six inches longer and I bought the 18 or the 20 inch. I think I bought the 20 inch hair extensions. They have hair extensions from like 14 inches up to like 24 inches. I think which is really long. These are 20 inches. I believe I thought the 20 inch worked really well for me. I think next time I would go a little bit longer. I would get like maybe 22 inch extensions, but I really do like them, so how I did it is. I got my haircut the week before, because holy cow, my ends were fried, so she cut all those off, and then I decided that next week I was like I'm gon na get an extension, so I ordered these extensions off of Amazon. They were like $ 50. Each I got 3 packages which next time I think I'm I would order 4. She did have to space them out a little bit more than she normally would is what she told me so next time I definitely would do 4 packages, so I ordered those once I got them. I messaged my hairstylist. I sent her picture. She came over and actually picked them up and we decided to dye my hair, normal colors, which was crazy because I was gon na do like some bright, pink extensions, and I ended up not doing that. She colored my hair Thursday and then she colored the extensions Thursday night. So then, when I went in Friday, she was ready to put them in it, took about two hours to put the extensions into my hair and really wasn't bad. It wasn't painful at all. It wasn't horrible, I just thought there she put him in, and I was talking to her. She actually uses pliers to clamp the hair. So what you do with tape in hair extensions? Is you get like a tiny piece of hair like a tiny little section of hair, like this, probably a lot smaller than that, but a tiny section of hair? You use two of the pieces of the extensions and sandwich them around the hair like one on the bottom and one on the top look. I was painting and you sandwich them and put them together. A lot of people will use their hair straightener and they will clamp it over the tape. I don't know if I can show you okay so see right there, so she puts them pretty close to the scalp. So for the first two days they felt really tight, but then once your hair grows out a little bit more they're way more comfortable, so she puts them pretty close to the scalp. As you can see, and then some people will go over the tape to adhere them with their straightener. My hairstylist likes to use pliers like actual pliers, and she will just clamp them which you, if you watched the vlog style video of me getting my hair done. You would have seen that she used pliers to clamp my hair, and she said that she has noticed that that is the best way for her clients every time she does that she uses pliers. So I thought that was kind of interesting. I don't think I've ever seen. Anyone put them in that way, so that was kind of cool, but I really love them, I'm so excited it does take a little bit to get used to. Definitely when I'm washing my hair, my hair is like so much heavier than it normally is so that's kind of weird. They also say when you wash your hair, try not to put conditioner up here by where your tapes are, which is fine, because I usually don't like I get a little oily, so I usually don't bring it up. I will put the conditioner about to my ears and then I focus it on the ends mostly, so that is also what they recommend on the back of here. It says I do have to brush my hair quite a bit, but that happens when your hair is longer. My hair was pretty decently long. Before I had extensions and anytime I wear my hair down, it would always get so ready. So I bought a wet hairbrush, which seriously was the best thing ever. It was like $ 10 at Walmart and it gets the rats out so easily and it doesn't feel like it's pulling on my hair or pulling on the extensions too hard. So I would definitely recommend getting one of those hair brushes, but you basically start from the bottom and brush it out and then brush your hair. When you do go to bed, it is recommended that you braid your hair before you sleep, so that you don't get tingles and you don't get it caught. I do braid my hair every single night and it seems to help and it isn't uncomfortable at all. So it says not to wash your hair extensions once you put them in for at least 48 hours. I did wait. I think, two-and-a-half days before I wash my hair washed fine, it does take a lot longer to dry, especially where all the tapes are like up here like just air drying. It took it a long time to dry, but I'm ok with that. I don't usually use a blow dryer, it says drying. Your hair out, naturally, is the best. So air drying it, but you can also use a dryer. It says to use a hairdryer on the lowest setting, and then it recommends that you always use a heat protectant spray on your extensions, which I always do. I spray it in after I shower and before I straighten my hair, I will go in with a heat. Protectant says never to sleep with wet hair, make sure your hair is dry and you tie it back and it is always best to make loose braids or a ponytail when you're sleeping, it also says, avoid salt, water and chlorine water. So I've never had an issue with that. I haven't gone swimming or anything yet it is almost the end of summer. So I don't see myself swimming too much, but I am able to pull my hair up on top of my head, like I can actually like pull it all the way up which the first couple of days, I couldn't really pull it up, because they were so Tight on my scalp, it was a little uncomfortable, but after about two days, it felt a lot more comfortable and a lot easier. The best way that I've found to pull up my hair instead of like going like this and like trying to do that. Where they're like poking out - and they look weird, I will flip my hair over, so that the tapes instead of laying flat this way, will lay flat that way, so that I can pull it up and like put a bun on top of my head or something Like that, that's the easiest way I have found to pull my hair up, and it was nice when I figured that out, because it is so much more comfortable when I flip my head over, so that all of the tapes are like laying flat. Oh, those are some of the tips and tricks that I've learned since getting my hair extensions put in.
